I enjoyed figuring this puzzle out. Very sad to be logging a DNF, but I don't think it is there.
Looks like this cache has disappeared. I am archiving to free up this spot for others.
Myself, along with NZ_B, YetiNZ and Mr-mcgoo are on a caching expedition to Nelson. This is something we planned a while back and have very much been looking forward to
This was 1 of 18 DNFs over our weekend. All a little frustrating at times but such is life.
In this case though, after a pretty comprehensive search by 4 very experienced cachers, we had to walk away empty handed.

I love solving these puzzles. I actually had the final coords some time ago, but never had the trip over. I think I found the right place since there was a SPOR right there, but no cache.
Interesting puzzle. There was a muggle surf casting nearby but he didn't look this way
Found with NZDi. It is Easter and NZDi decided she wanted to go to the Mapua Easter Fair seeing she missed out last year due to Covid-19 Level 4 Lockdown. Also we purchased a caravan late last year and as Easter is traditionally the last outing of the season before caravans are closed up for winter, we didn't want to waste this opportunity even though we have another trip planned next month.
So the plan is to set up at Motueka Top 10 Holiday Park for three days going to the Fair on Sunday, then on Monday look at the weather and decide whether to spend another three days in Golden Bay or head down the Wet Coast. In the meantime there is some caching to do.
Today is Day 3 of our expedition over the hill. On Friday we managed to get what the purists would say was 17 caches, but two of them were Lab Caches so GCHQ says the tally is 25, and who are we to argue with that. Yesterday the purists tally was 20, but one of those was a Lab Cache so GCHQ says 24. This morning we went to the Mapua Easter Fair and I must say the organisers should be pretty happy, as I reckon there were more people there than at any of the previous fairs we've been to. The fair is over for us, so we are grabbing a few caches on the way back to camp. We had heard of the Kina Peninsula, and saw there were a few caches out this way, so thought we would check them out.
Having got or attempted all the other caches on this end of the peninsula, I almost overlooked this one, but when I opened the cache page and saw the cache name, I realised it was one of the puzzles, I solved during Covid Alert Level 4 Lockdown last year, which made it a QEF PnG on the way out.

I solved this literally years ago, at last I got around to collecting the cache. Thanks for the puzzle, very enjoyable
I printed off the puzzle Friday night, solved it yesterday and off to find today. Nice n easy find. TFTC
Had searched for this previously but today needed a few more pinecones to fill the sack. Back to caching finally, SJT_NZ & I started with some local spots just to get back in the groove, this a quick find, few people out and about enjoying the day.
This time! Puzzle solved several years ago but when cache was looked for it was missing - at least assumed. Today the find was instant . AND Tregearp collected some pinecones which always makes her happy. Thanks Tepedekoy for the puzzle and cache. Now for No. 2 - have been stuck on that one for a while ...
Found with Ulmuslynx who had solved the puzzle thank you,

Solved this a while ago (but still to solve the last one even with hint). Found today on a mild summers day with No.13. Thanks for the cache and puzzle.
A couple of days ago we tried to find this cache but like the last 2 logs could not find the cache - we contacted the cache owner and with his permission we have now placed a new container and replacement log - is nice to play a small part in keeping this part of the puzzle series going - also nice is that it coincided with a dot day for us signed log - thanks for the puzzle - we have solved the others so hope to find them sometime soon
We were so happy when we figured out how to solve this one and than as Niteowlnz said we joined the others in not finding the cache. Found the signs of the other cachers being present. After the contact with the CO we discussed the issue and felt that this cache was important to keep going for the series and like for us to solve and try harder versions. TFTC
Another slitherlink solved. This was an easy one, but at GZ it wasn't that easy. The hint object was obvious, but (like the previous visitor) I found nothing that looked like a cache container So I put a note in a plastic bag and placed it there as a (temporary) replacement.

SJT_NZ did the solving on this one and got the green tick, so I did some slithering for the search but no luck. This was the second time out in this area after the cyclones and after another fruitless search we wondered if the final had been impacted as reading previous logs there was nothing of a similar nature around. Will watch and see if we just had a bad case of geocaching blindness.
Thankfully one of us has a very long arm! The cache was certainly where the hint suggested and then some! There are now some rocks down the hole so it should be easier for the next person to locate.
+ a marble, - nothing.
+ a marble, - nothing.
Another slitherlink puzzle, I've found a few of the other ones, even I can solve these ones! Q E F once ricardinho checked the other side of the hint item.

Another weekend day with a Geocaching theme planned; a trip (back) over the hill (again) and head out to Mapua Bay to get the Earthcache out there as well as 'one or two' other options. We left Blenheim at around 730 and returned just after 7 so a good day out was had by all, with the Tasman weather at its best yet again. Caching crew was me, ricardinho.nz and Jojo74 and between us we navigated, found and travelled the roads, and beaches, of Ruby Bay grabbing caches as we went. Logs were signed in various combinations of Ri/Jo/Ca. We also came across a few other cachers; Wellwishers near Marriages Road, 'Snook' (I think) in Mapua athletic park, and a pre-arranged meet up with the good guy that is mr gdguys at Hoddy Estuary park.
A few more for the totals and some more yellow smiley conversion completed over that region of NZ, catching up with Wanganui/Manawatu again.

I have enjoyed solving the slither link puzzles, they are certainly within my puzzle solving capabilities and have been good fun. I think this may be my first collect though. TFTC Tepedekoy.
Sunday was the second day over the hill for us this weekend. Today's target area was around Mapua, and the crew today was Jo, Capperz and Ricardinho, with most logs being signed RiCaJo, or something similar. Nelson turned on the weather, and some good caches were found and we bumped into a few cachers on our travels as well. TF all the caches to the COs.

Solved a while ago but took till today to be in the area - and beautiful it was too! Cache was out in the open so we re-covered it as per the hint. Thanks for the puzzle Tepedekoy - one of several of yours that we've enjoyed doing.
Having solved this ages ago was finally in the general area to make the grab. GPS had me circling at first but got there in the end. Fun puzzle to do. Thanks for the cache.
Solved puzzles were on the menu today, and this was one of them. Quickly found, Cheers.
Exploring around Motueka and points southish on the way home today. There are a few caches around here, and are quite sparse between Kawatiri Junction and well Leithfield beach!!
Thanks to the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Our solved puzzles were starting to pile up so we headed out to track some of them down. This was our first and luckily far enough away from the free firewood area that we were able to grab it. Waited for the approaching car to pass before we returned it nice and safe.
Solved this, and most of its brethren, a few months back, but out this way for the first time since then.
Pulled over to let a couple of on-coming vehicle pass and found myself right at the GZ. Nice one.
Out of the car, a little battle with a branch or two, and down to business.
Cache found, log signed and onwards.
Thanks for the puzzle Tepedekoy - one of few remaining local ones I stood a chance of solving.

Had two grandchildren out for a picnic so it only seemed right to find some caches on the way home tftc
I enjoy these type of puzzles usually so to find one attached to a cache had me excited to get out here. One of my favorite spots on this coast, it's a cool day today with the haunting fog rolling around.
When returning container I dropped it down a hole I couldn't see the bottom of. Oh no I've destroyed it! But groping around with full length of my arm I wiggled it back out. Phew... blocked with some wood and pleased it's there to be found again.
Thanks for the puzzle and TFTC

Love these Slitherlink puzzles! Keen to collect them all, so doing a bit of a drive around today. Quite dusty at GZ, but no problem with the find, thanks.
I am currently in New Zealand for my honeymoon and Nelson was our first stop. I solved this puzzle after seeing its proximity to the location of our bed and breakfast. On our way out to the airport on our final morning, I swung by to grab this one. Got a little itchy in the brush making the find but I was glad to sign off on this one.
Merry Christmas!!!
We were heading to our Christmas lunch appointment when the youngest cachlet needed a sleep so we made a wee detour to give him enough time for a rest. We decided to go for a 'poke-a-nose' and stopped by this one as we were driving by. Fun puzzle and quick find at GZ.
Thanks for the cache Tepedekoy.

[green] In Neslon to drop off a German tourist and go to an event and collect a puzzle and an earthcache and the consequent souvenirs. And see my dad in Motueka. Busy weekend. On the way home back to Blenheim now, and could not resist stopping by here for the Slitherlink, which I must have solved almost a year ago. Alas no time for the others in this area, which makes coming here for this a bit pointless, I am only going to have to come back again eventually.
Love these slitherlinks, especially the Hex one!

Today was day for signing off puzzles out west of Rabbit Island. This was the tenth on today's hit list and the nineth find. I enjoyed this first Slitherlink but have to admit that the later ones lie unsolved in my "too hard" pile. Thanks for this cache.
I have spent a bit of time on the puzzles in this series, and enjoyed them. TFTC (1656)
For the sake of sanity we set off with sonia26642 for a crazy geocaching trip, aiming to cache until we drop. The main destination was Nelson and the ‘surrounding’ area, but then we ended up covering a few miles in three northernmost regions, plus a few in Canterbury. We were signing/stamping the log as 'Team Polak' or ‘TP’ for the two of us on this trip to save logbook space. We found a lot of different caches, city ones, road side, park side, up a hill and on an island, and we enjoyed every single one of them. It was good to be a professional thingfinder for a few days!
We had great fun and are grateful to all CO’s who placed caches for us to find, and help restore our sanity before returning to our other non-geocaching lives!!

This was one of the most epic weeks ever, and definitely my most epic caching week ever.
Me and mum headed up on a holiday north to Nelson and very wider surrounds. In total during the trip, we found almost 500 caches! (470 odd I think, but final results are yet to be in! ) We covered about 3000 odd km I think too. Crazy! And had our absolute best caching day ever too at 160 found. Spend 9 days travelling, caching, and having the best time ever!!
So sorry about not so epic logs, as otherwise this would probably take me the rest of my life to log, especially with two big events to organise coming up! Eeek!!
Almost every single log we signed as 'Team Polak' to avoid needing to write out both usernames taking up space on logsheet - as well as precious caching time!! Haha.

Great puzzle, an easy find and a brand new log to sign. A favourite from us for the puzzle. It has got us hooked on these puzzles again.
In the area today, so dropped off a new dry log in a fresh plastic bag. Hopefully this will stay dry for a while.
This is the first find for us in the slitherlink series. StreetWalker has really enjoyed solving them, in fact he got so hooked on this type of puzzle, he does them whenever and where ever he can - the CO has released a monster
Unfortunately the container was wet inside, and the logbook too far gone to sign. StreetWalker has taken a photo of the cache container to prove we have found it. TFTC.

#7492. I seem to have solved quite a lot of these puzzles since the first of the series came out. Krayzdad.com is a good place to find loads of slitherlink puzzles. They have some nice variations (I found the rhomboid one particularly tricky). Container was very wet inside; didn't even bother to try to sign the log. TFTC.
A trip to Kaiteri with time to collect some caches en route. Solved this puzzle over a year ago now and finally got around to making the find. Really enjoyed this puzzle series. Had to be really careful replacing cache as realised the hide it was in seemed to go deeper and deeper. Placed slightly to edge and covered over. TFTC which I'll give a Favourite.
Had a go at this when it first came out but didn't get very far so it was put in "the pile" to get to some wet Sunday. Dragged it out last weekend and managed to get a perfect loop in a short time with very little rubbing out. Gave me a false sense of my ability with these puzzles as I was soon to find out. Thoroughly enjoyed this puzzle which I hadn't come across before you publishing Slither. TFTC #5497

Nice easy find in one of the most beautiful areas. Thanks for the puzzle!
Enjoyed all three of the puzzles so tried to get to these caches when up in Nelson. Manged to snag this one nd 1 other. Cache was a quick find.
Found it! A great day for a walk, quite a few muggles around but enough space between walkers going by that retrieval achieved without notice.
Oh. That's a cool puzzle. Have spent the odd moment honing my skills on online versions too. Good one. TFTC
Took awhile to get the hang of this new puzzle type, have now downloaded the app so more fun will be had in the future! I struggled with the geochecker, until i realised I was 10 minutes out on the longitude, duh!
The sun was setting as we arrived at GZ, but fortunately there was enough light to find the cache. Drained the water out of the container, log damp but usable.

We get given puzzle books that some time include thes....not our first choice puzzle for some reason. That said, I stuffed this up near the end. thought I had enough to produce coords worth a look......wrong !
Thanks for setting it up, and we enjoyed our wee drive.

I slithered towards the cache on details provided... A great puzzle concept and enjoyable time spent solving. All honours to Holymu, I just happened to be closest for the find. TFTC
This one was solved the day of publication but until today we hadn't been in the area to hunt for it. I have thoroughly enjoyed solving these puzzles, they are quite different to any others I've come across. When it came to finding the cache I did what I'm so good at doing, I led from behind but gave clear directions to Hazedarus who retrieved it and replaced it after signing. A favourite point coming your way. TFTC.
Puzzle solved with a bit of help. Nice morning for a walk with Ellie to find a couple of caches. Thanks Tepedekoy for placing this cache.

Surprised to be on the second to find this cache?? Solved the puzzle a while ago and decided to head off in this direction today to find it. No problems there. As I think I've noted on the other caches in this series, this type of puzzle was a new one to me but once I got the hang of it, it seemed to slither into place quite nicely. TFTC and the puzzle, Biggles.
FTF at 4.20.
We had a lot of fun with this one - although the puzzle was by now very familiar. We could see immediately that this was easier so it was competition not cooperation within the team. 2 copies were produced. Mrs hared off and made great progress - until she realised she had made an irretrievable error. Printed a new copy, redid the right stuff and avoided the wrong. The end of the loop was in sight - when the slow and steady SoBad smuggly handed her a competed puzzle!!! Rather like a fable she decided.
Last night the hint was not on the page and again Mrs did a double entry of geocheck - the second time to see if there was a hint for this one. We see it is now on the page and was not required anyway. Perfect co-ordinates and only one place to look really.
Thanks. Both cooperating for the original and competing for this one have been fun for the team. A favourite.
