Road work has restructured the culvert . You cannot get in here anymore . Cache has been removed
Location environment washed away and a public road now runs directly adjacent to location . too dangerous .
Out with RoddyC, Hatzofff and Snickersallan for a day of geocaching in this area.
Unfortunately as per previous posts, we also couldn't find this one. May need to be checked if still there.

Out with RoddyC, Snickersallan and Patrol14 to pick up some smiles in the area. But a long way to go without finding anything. Perhaps the CO needs to check.

I've recently moved south of the QLD/NSW border and eager to explore my new home environs. I did a 70KM loop today, exploring the coastal and lovely country roads near to home.
I parked here by the shy cows and soon found where I was meant to be looking, but no sign of a cache here. I wondered if it was washed away in the floods in March 17.

Still slimy from the recent rains - so the sure footed member of the group was able to retrieve the container. Great hide - seen a few like these. Thanks Spikey100.
This cache has now been reinstated and is waiting to be found! The resident geomutt is now "Rusty" however the name of this cache will not be changed.
Yep, definitely slippery when wet, this Geo nurse nearly needed medical attention, lol.. Couldn't sign log, as it was wet...TFTC...

Heading south, into remote NSW, for a couple of weeks so what better way to break the monotony of the trip than find a few caches along the way?
Our first cache, this trip, in NSW!
This one was a little tricky but nevertheless a quick find.
The log is a bit damp but still workable.
Signed & replaced as found.

We were staying at Coolangatta with OrionJ for the weekend with the idea we would see how many smilies we could add to our map. Even though OrionJ already had this one we decided since it was not far off our way we would detour and see if we could make the find. Luckily it was a not too difficult find for us today and we soo had our name added to the log. TFTC
While holidaying at the Pottsville North Caravan Park, my son mazza151, my daughter pinkypie05 and myself decided to do some caches yesterday. I got down and dirty while my kids stayed above ground. Nice quick find. My kids loved how the cows watched us the whole time. TFTC!
While holidaying at Pottsville North Caravan Park, my mum mnance101, my sister pinkypie05 and myself decided to do some caches. We watched while mum found it. TFTC!

After a celebration with mates nearby, this carload of Fangsoki, Sweet-bee, Dosshell and I continued on for some local fare. Another quick find on a quiet stretch of road. Diesel wasn't home today. Nobody here but us geocachers (and some cows over there).
Thanks for placing this cache, Spikey100. Found in good condition.

Easter weekend 2nd-6th April 2015 in Stanthorpe, QLD.
It was great to leave the booming highways and travel the quiet, meandering country lanes of this picturesque location. A number of inquisitive cows and a friendly horse looked on as I negotiated the way to GZ and plucked out the cache.
Nice one, thanks Spikey100.
Nice one, thanks Spikey100.
Pprime, Dosshell, Sweet_bee, and I pulled up for this one next.
Mr Pprime pretty much "jumped in" and tackled this one. Dosshell suggested a few areas to Pprime. Nada. I was off on a totally different tangent. Then Mr Pprime announced he had found it. With our names signed the in the book, we were off.
No Diesel today for us today.. But plenty of cattle. TFTC Spikey100

Thanks a lot for this Spikey100. Found today on a visit to the area for a party that Spikey100 knows all about. Great location. Nice part of the world. The bovines seem to be doing a great job looking over this cache. Good hide. The log was so wet, I could not write on it, so I put a new log in the cache - check it out Spikey. Gets a favourite from me.
Took a few minutes to find this one but found it in the end. Even went and said hello to the appy mare that came to the fence to see what we were doing. Found with Diamonjs. TFTC
Had us looking for a few minutes but once we looked at the terrain rusty85 had it in hand, and we left as the sky's opened up. TFTC

Geo Wife and Girls were off shopping today and I'm not into that so I headed south to do some of my favourite game down the coast.
This was going to be my last one for today as I decided to head inland on the way home and via the M1.
I over shot this one and had to find a spot to turn around and come back.
I parked and walked to GZ then started to wonder where would be a good hiding spot.
I checked the terrain rating so I knew what I had to do.
I looked around for a few minutes but then turned around and from the angle I was on I spotted the cache, I had been thinking of a small container but we usually call this type "Micro" so it had me fooled.
Thanks Spikey 100 TFTC SL

Out on a mission to play I Spy with IolantheK today. We had collected all the clues we needed and were now meandering very slowly towards GZ collecting caches along the way.
This was our first detour after collecting the info for our planned goal of the day. Spent a few minutes hunting for this one. A farmer went by on his tractor, but he just waved and smiled at the crazy ladies over there

Road tripping today! teamdfl and I are going from Brisbane to Byron Bay or bust! I left my place at 6am and I got home at 10.40pm! 400+kms, 27 caches for me (including 5 multis and 1 puzzle), several beach visits, about 10kms walking all up, a railway bridge and tunnel, and then photos of the lighthouse and moon to end up the day. An awesomely mad day out [^]
Our first stop, and not exactly beautiful... I have to go down where????? So glad there's no rain right now. Searched a couple of spots, then teamdfl pointed out one behind me, and there's the cache. Glad it's a smilie. teamdfl went and said hello to the horse. TFTC, Spikey100

After having to give up on Citizen Kane down the road, we had to have a find. Can't go back to camp at Wooyung on a DNF!!!
So, with 4 grumpy hungry kids we made the picturesque drive to this cache. Absolutely beautiful area!!! We said hello to the cows and headed down the slip to the gz and uhoh, pushed the cache too far with a pokey stick and it seemed super stuck!! Thankfully we have a magnetic retrieval tool in the cache bag and we gently retrieved it from it's hole!! Signed the log, and we could happily go back to camp and feed the kids now!!
Thanks for taking us in a nice drive today and TFTC!

Geograndkids headed straight to GZ and their friend found the cache, it looks like we have a new recruit .
The pencil needs to be sharpened, unfortunately we didn't have a sharpener with us. Signed log with own pen.
Thanks for the lovely country drive Spikey100 it was a good hide.

Today is International Geocaching day.
Today is also a day in the August challenge month.
Two very good reasons to find a cache today, attend an event and get two souvenirs.
Another find for the day with the event to come a little later.
Not much of a parking spot but it is a quite road....a quick find.
Thanks for the cache.

Getting dark now, but Geofamily had been bitten by the bug and wanted another "fix" before heading home. Found the GZ, but had to get the torch out to search for the cache. Mrs Bushpig keen enough to risk wet feet in the search. Found and logged as total darkness and cold enveloped us. Worth the trip though, TFTC.
Today I came with my boots on and left my white dog in the car. I was ready for a bit of search but was pleasantly surprised. Thanks Spikey100 took me a while to come back!
I feel like I should be saying "ditto" to Aussie Liahona's log. We stopped hoping that this one wouldn't be as hard to find as Equus. The GPS co-ordinates were pretty much spot on and we stood there with the unspoken words "do we go down there?".
After braving the slope and carefully stepping over the slimy bits a game of "which of these things is not like the other" and the cache was soon in hand.
We enjoyed our time in the area being serenaded by the hamburgers to be.
Thanks for the cache.

Hmmm. Now where could it be? Surely not there. Well, there was nothing for it but to give the slippery a try and check. Yep, there it is! Found the well hidden beast and was glad to see it is still here after all the rain this last week. Thanks for the cache Spikey100. We have so enjoyed our drive around this area today on such a lovely sunny winters day. The smaller roads around here are such a treat. So picturesque in the afternoon sunshine. TNLNSL.
2:49pm great spot to place this one. Not sure how it would hold up in extreme weather though. Spotted it after a short search. I think I did it the hard way though.

Heading across to Murwillembah I figured I may as well stop by and have a look for this one. I have seen other cache in similar locations but always surprises me, the chance of it disappearing in bad weather.

We were on our way home after a night in Byron Bay. We were taking the long route and grabbing some caches on the way. It was a beautiful drive out here which we thoroughly enjoyed. Mr Herbz did the slippery bit and was just about to climb back up when he suddenly spied something. Very sneaky! TFTC.
Dropped by on my way south. It started to rain and I had one look down and remembered slippery and had dog who would have loved to get in the nearby mud. Decisions, decisions... didn't venture down. Will come by another time. Thanks for the drive in Spikey100.
So I had been watching this one since it came up,and as no one had found it this afternoon was when the adventure began. Not often I go geocaching in the truck but that was what I was in today, anything for a FTF.Arrived at GZ,no problems so far and started the search,a poke here and a prod there, then a poke hit the target but tragedy struck,it poked it to a place of no return.Met the CO"s sister in law and husband, they were a nice couple, told them I'd email owner and explain the situation,so hopefully all will be resolved, very sorry for the inconvenience.
When I rang my offsider geo junior who was at home to tell him to email and log on the cache,he then tells me I had been beaten to be FTF by Renrock.Darn.So well done Renrock.
Enjoyed the drive in here it is good cattle country, and that is also my lifestyle.
Left a TB easy to be found and safe to retrieve. TFTC.Spikey100

CO visited site today and was able to restore cache completely ! No real problem . Like most things in life , if you have the right tools you can do anything ! I have taken steps to ensure that the same problem does not arise again.

Went to Tweed for a dive course today. Didn't have time for a cache detour on the way up. Was sure that someone would have found this already by the afternoon. BUT seeing I am trying to get to 500 before 29th of the month I thought I may as well attempt it.
Found the location walked back and forward over a 10m strip without being able to find anything that might even hold the cache. Checked a number of likely spots but nothing. Then I thought well maybe it is here!!!! Went to where I thought and spied the container. Getting it out of its hidey hole proved to be much more tricky than the find had been. You will benefit from taking log extraction tools with you. NOT to get the log but to get the cache container. Very sneaky hide Spikey!!!
Not often Fergclan get beaten to a FTF on the coast but today was my turn.
