SirFancy and Geotrakka walked down to this cache and found it quickly once at GZ.

Spending the day out in the hills grabbing the FOTT GO BUSH 4WD series.
The planning started in December and this was the first weekend that was available and so the date was set.
Early in the morning the SLICK G’s (SirFancy, Lachlan1.77, I C Nothing, Kapelula, Geotrakka & myself) met up in Sawyers Valley and piled into the 4x4’s and headed in.
It was an amazing day out with all caches found without issues.

Thanks bma55 for placing Fence corner for me and others to find.
I added my name to the log at 16:41 on 5/3/2023.
This is find number 6884 for me.

A plan was made in January for a caching day on the March long weekend. Today is the day! So here we are out tackling the 4WD FOTT trail and other caches in the area with Sir Fancy, Lachlan1.77, I C Nothing, Cirrus_WA and Geotrakka. Some logs signed SLICK Gs. TFTH!

Tina rusted and ziplock melted onto log book. So it’s open to the elements now.

Heading out today with the crew and Signing as SLICK G’s today (SirFancy, Lachlan177, I C Nothing, Cirrus_WA, Kapelula and Geotrakka)

This is my 4380 find.
Thank you bma55 for placing and maintaining this cache.

The Micks team minus the M have headed out with Lachlan 1.77 and Geotrakka to find the remaining Fott series caches after starting this series years ago.
Found after finishing the Fott series. Nice 4wd to the area and a small walk to be rewarded by a nice size cache.
Signed Log as Slick G.

Out and about with Team Barritts for couple of days caching adventures around York and Wandoo NP.

Thanks to all the CO's for their hides and bringing us to these great places.

29-Nov-19
Team Red Roo and I had made tentative plans to tackle the FOTT 4WD series together sometime after he and his partner got back from their latest grey nomad adventures interstate. And they were gone for over six months this time, so all the solved puzzles, multis and whereigos just had to sit on the backburner and wait. But all is now good after a couple of fun days out there in the bush. We enjoyed the various types of bush we encountered but the wandoo forest were both our favourites. During the time we were away we saw emus, kangaroos, wedgetail eagles, red tail black cockatoos, parrots, perenti, gecko, galahs, twenty-eights, kookaburras, magpies, mudlarks, the list goes on, but what topped it off was the sighting of a couple of wild piglets (we wondered where the mother was, but didn't hang around to find out, lol). And of course, we found many, many geocaches too. After completing the 4WD series, we thought it was about time for some real 4X4 adventuring, so heading on over to try for a couple of honest 5* terrain caches. And since we were passing near here, of course I had to come and find this one too. TN, LN, SL, replaced as found. Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to come and find bma55

Hi there bma55. I was out with Mistraluna for a couple of planned days of Geocaching around the FOTT trail near York. We had both worked out finals for all caches and using the Nuvi and both GPS's, all caches were found quickly - and the containers and logs are in good condition. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to bma55 for this cache - our find 8307

Out giving the old beast a bit of a spin and checking out the canola fields in full bloom, on a run to York and back this arvo.

We pulled in at Mount Observation, one of our intended destinations today, to check out the canola fields. We decided to go 2WD today, because we figured we wouldn't be going down any tracks or off road. Well... I decided we should have a crack at these two caches. Clearance was a little iffy at times and so too were some slight rocky outcrops, but we made it through. Glad the water in the puddles had evaporated a bit. It would've been a different story a couple of weeks ago.

Wandered on in to make a quick find. Lid was a little difficult to get off. Cheers bma55! Big Grin

Out for a country drive with Lachlan1.77 checking out some of the flowers and scenery on the way to York. No doubt we stopped for any caches that were close to the highway.

Not sure if L1.77 was too keen taking his 2WD down some of these tracks, but in the end it wasn't too bad. A nice walk through the bush and a fairly quick find. TFTC!

We headed out on a lovely winters day to collect some less loved caches and a few more along the FOTT trail. The views were breathtaking and we visited some spectacular locations. We enjoyed the hikes to get to GZ and are happy to say we added our name to the log book and walked away with a smilie TFTC

The weather didnt hold off today! We headed out in the rain to complete the 4wd FOTT Go Bush series. On our way out we heard that Goomalling had received golf ball sized hail. We continued on with some trepidation.

As we approached the Nature Reserve we were driving through puddles and leaf litter, little water crossings and water falls were appearing at the roadside. It was odd to see the foam appearing in the water. Hmmm what is today going to hold for us.

After successfully completing the series we crossed Talbot West Road and headed off to see what other caches we could find. More puddles but the roads were in pretty good condition until we approached Wandabiniring rocks and had to turn back.

A huge day out today around the wandoo conservation area, mount dale recreation area and the mundaring state Forrest. Huge days caching which really buggered us out, collecting a really solid days caching under the belt, not huge numbers but seeing some awesome places and unique locations.

We planned a mega days caching around these parts but with a late start after the gym this morning and the roads being a little harder to navigate than planned things took a bit longer.

We saw some lovely rocky outcrops, beautiful Forrest, and some beautiful scenery.

Found all caches we attempted today, some 17 finds, all in good condition, a large number of them were ammo tins which was great to see and thankfully no micros!

We finished the day grabbing another of the legendary wandoo series we have somehow managed to miss on our initial two day forray into the series when we were newbies, and our subsequent 15,000 combined finds since, so was nice to knock off more of the series.

Will be back soon to complete the remainder of he caches closer to York including the cluedo series and the caches around mount dale recreation area. Thanks for a great day out!

Really want to do all the caches in this area (not necessarily the Wandoo ones though) ... got to make a bit of a dent in them today, this being the second last cache of the day. Found just on sunset. Nice spot.

SL. TNLN. Thanks for the hide bma55

After finding a new cache nearby I set out to grab the remaining caches out this way. Unfortunately I soon decided that this was not suitable 2WD country, so I parked the car and went for a walk to find this one, then scurried home with my tail between my legs.

A lovely walk to get here, though I did manage to somehow lose the road on the way back... A quick find once at GZ, and a really nice spot.

Thanks for the cache bma55!

Headed out for a day of exploring the bush around Mt Observation, this was one of the caches we found along the way... We enjoyed our drive through the countryside to get to this one & found a suitable spot to park before following some roo trails to the cache Smile Once at GZ, a quick find of the cache was made.

After spending the weekend in York with iluvtrekking, the boys were looking for some 4x4 driving excitement so we headed south via the Mundaring Catchment. This was the second cache and a short walk from the previous one. No problem locating the cache and it was in good order. Thanks Bma55

Found with richlink while enjoying everything the Mt Observation forest has to offer after a weekend at York.
The forest was bright and clean and recent rains made track navigation all the more fun. A very pretty piece of bush here, and a good old fashioned cache.
Well done bma55 we loved it.
Thanks.

This was our 3rd cache find in a caching run of 3 Finds & 1 DNFs today.
We found it at 14:08 so this now makes our total find count 7576.

Wow what a great cache. A spot of dirt road driving, a refreshing walk to stretch our legs, and a decent sized cache at the end of the trek.
After finding over 7500 caches it is really sad to note that the trend of placing small caches (without swaps) is increasing. While nanos and eclipse tins have their place in an urban environment these, along with 200ml Sistemas, seem to be the norm these days even out in more remote areas. [Red]It made us feel really glad to find a large(ish), cache here.[/Red] SmileSmile

Coordinate Accuracy: Excellent (Around 2 metres.)
Cache Condition: Container and log book are in good shape.
Took: Nothing.
Left: Smiley Badge.
Thanks bma55 for the hunt today.

[:(!] After Church went to Northam to drop off our geogranddaughter and pick up geograndson to bring back to Perth, so we went via York to pick up some caches along the way and this was one of them, we parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter minutes.

This cache had us intrigued as its very close to another and we wondered what was here. All it turned out to be was another pleasant walk in the bush. (Said with tongue in cheek)

Orienteering was on today and there was a control jut up the ridge. We went from this one across to the other cache and i met and Orienteer who was picking up the controls at the end of the day. He said 'geocaching?" I said yes. He mentioned his mate put one just over there. So I assume I met one of your mates.

We noticed another visitor today and we picked up the travelbug.

Thanks for the cache.
