Disappointing. The container has no lid and has been left open to the elements. The log is sopping wet - I could just about leave a mark which reads "GAS BOTTLE 3 5 17" (see photo). I've returned the log to the container and placed it upside down in the nook I found it in. Hopefully this will allow the log to dry out a bit. NM logged.
Found with Racy Rachel after walking right round it wondering how to get in, then wading through head-high grass and lupins and falling into a hole. Someone had conveniently left a Biro nearby. TFTC.
Took me nearly half an hour to find, very new to geocaching and just got used to thinking outside the box. Left a treasure from Thailand inside. well hidden
Missed the paddock entry initially. Followed the geotrail when GPS was telling me to go elsewhere then found quickly. Log is not very protected but somehow still dry enough to use.
Came at this from the wrong side but made an easy exit, no horse, good little cache TFTC
Disappointingly, still no sign of Rick or his horse, but had a pleasant wander through the paddock, and gained a new cache. TFTC
It suited me nicely to do this one as I had done a cache down by the beach and was heading for the Tilley Rd entrance to QEP to walk the trail up to Mackay's for the sunset event.
A quick easy find, no sign of Rick's horse.

1753 Staying in the camping ground next door so popped over to see Rick. Signed his log.
I was rather worried about how i would get to this cache not knowing the are etc. but driving towards GZ i soon found a track in the right direction and i knew instantly that this was the right tyrack, which i followed and arrived at Rick's Paddock. No Rick in the paddock and all was very quiet around the area so the cache was quickly located retrieved signed and replaced, sorry about late logs finally cactching up with forgotten caches.
was staying at the campground for a family event in Petone (yes, Paekakariki was the closest accommodation we could book thanks to the AC/DC concert tomorrow night...)
I started off on the campground side of the paddock as I hadn't read the full cache description concerning the walkway.
I finally managed to get onto the walkway, only to see that my GPS was pointing into the namesake, and not along the fenceline.
Once the cache had been found and the formalities completed, we managed to cross the fence back into the campground without having to walk the long way back.
Thanks for helping me tick off my last Dot-Day for 2015

I spotted the cache from the wrong angle, so got 1Bumblebee to make the actual grab.

Found on a quick pickup tour of a few caches I'd missed previously. All in good condition.
#1197. Picking up a few more caches at QE2 park today. This one took me a lot longer to find than it should have. I searched all around the GZ for it and finally felt something that was a bit unusual and there was the cache. Nicely hidden. Signed the log, took a few photos and off to the next one. TFTC
My first cache find on the North Island!
Spent the night next to the cache, so finding it was a must. Nice place.

This cache took me home - literally! I lived at the end of Tilley Road for three years as a kid - it was fun to revisit haunts .. things looked a little different, but we had no trouble finding this one.
I did a nice little hike in a quite big park.
Thank you for showing this spot to me and for hiding a cache.

Found while out on a geocaching bike ride, a pleasant ride to this one. Nearly fooled at GZ, but soon found to my relief, thanks for the cache Mattox69.
There was a bit of noise coming from the camp next door but was able to locate hide while keeping out of sight. SL TFTC.
Nice quick find, during a raid on Kapiti coast today.
Nobody about on a lovely sunny summer's day. Another nicely cammoed container.

Had me for a bit but managed to be able to complete the paperwork. TFTC Mattox69, #7262
Found quickly by the observant team geocacher Mr. T. Nice camo job. Another area we have never visited before. Tftc.
This was the last of three quick finds of Mattox69 caches on a day that was miserable in terms of the weather. As with the other two, I was impressed with this cache; very effective camouflage.
During my 4 week trip through NZ I also had the chance to find this cache!

Nice agricultural stroll from the locked gate (before the carpark? Paekak!) Great chance for the dog to have a bit of a run while we checked out the local fauna. Arrived at GZ and knew immediately the cache would be in the thing that looked like it wouldn't have a cache in it! Another top effort on the camo job. We've now found 8/10 caches placed by Mattox69, every one completely unique and very entertaining. Be careful you will gain yourself a reputation . SLTFTC
I am beginning to thoroughly enjoy Mattox69's caches! Every time a cache is near our route that reads that name, I can't help but be a little excited for the mystery I'll uncover! A fun cache, as we had a bit of a laugh with it. TFTC
Nice view of camp ground. Quick find taking the geo-complainers out for a cache while camping at the motor camp. Found with Jax479 and Oldboy999. TFTC
Nice wander around Paekak while camping, happened to walk past a few caches of course. One of the geokids made the find for this one to his delight after a pointer in the obvious direction. With metal-art.
Got close, but people were working in the area so we abandoned the attempt for another day.
#667 Sometimes I can't see for looking... all safely logged though. What a beautiful day... worth playing hookie from work today.
This one had me looking a while. Stood still for a minute and after closer inspection spotted a well camoed hide. Like these hides. TFTC fav for sure.
Saw how creative this was and had to check if it was another Mattox. Sure enough!
Another Favourite.

Two horses in the paddock but their lunch was much more interesting than be. Nice concealment job at GZ. TFTC
13901... No sign of Rick or his horses... but we found his cache instead, many thanks.
Hmmm. Took longer than it should have. After all there were not too many places to look. A cool hide. Thanks .
Never saw Rick's horse, but did see a neighbour over the fence. I ducked down and hid behind the tree whilst signing the cache.
A man was working nearby, so we put the tree between him and us so we don't think he saw us. Didn't take too long to track down the cache, nicely camoed.

#6064. Pretty quiet at GZ today, but it still took a little while to spot the well camo'ed cache. TFTC.
No sign of any horses here today, probably too cold for them. Cache was soon found. TFTC
6th of 11 in the Queen Elizabeth Park area today. Superb August day. Good little hide, no horses about. #295. TFTC.
Found during a day of caching on the coast.
And a very pleasant sort of a day for lat August too.
Cache hide was discovered in straightforward fashion, all in order, log signed, and safely re-hidden as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Did not see Rick. But did see the two horses who were a bit peeved when they found out we had nothing for them to eat!
Cache # 1,204 - quite a tricky one, but we got there in the end, despite having to re-visit the site because of muggles (two legged variety). The four legged ones kept an eye on us both visits, and we ran into a few other cachers shortly after departing this. Thanks! Did with Crystal Fairy, Violet Butterfly and MycroMan.
Found today with Wandering Dragons, Crystal Fairy and MycroMan. Thanks!
