Seems we’re first to drop in after the fires last January. The whole area is devastated and the cache didn’t stand a chance. Beautiful regrowth in the area

Today, we decided to grab some straggler caches and also to get clues for more multi's so we can spend a day and clean them up.
We made the easy drive from home to Buchan, then headed out here to get the 5X caches in the immediate area. The three caches here were nice easy finds, with the air temperature freezing with a brisk breeze.

The GPSr didn't seem to want to settle here, but with the clue and a look around we managed to find the cache before walking up to Rocky Knob to admire the view.
Beware bull ants !!! Right next to GZ. Also log trashed and screwed up. We did our best to sign and smooth it out. Swaps were made and then we wandered up to the Rocky Outcrop and dreamt about ye ol days of abseiling pre-kids. Fun spot. Saw a red bellied black snake on the way back down. TFTC!
Found one of five. By the time we got here the rest of the family had had enough. Tftc and the beautiful bushwalk.
Found this one on a short drive from our camp at Buchan caves and went up to rocky knob. TFTC
Easily found after a walk up to rocky nob where the geokids had a great time doing some simple rock climbing. Thanks. Didn't realise there's no road to the next two caches, and we don't have the time or energy to walk there.
Had fun climbing the Rocky knob. Then found the cache. Kids made some swaps so they were happy.
South Coast January 2015. I spent a few sunny days exploring from Eden to Orbost and beyond. A very interesting part of the country. The forest drive to these five caches was very peaceful. The road was recently graded and smooth and only one other car while I was up here. Five great caches in a very hot forest. I decided not to do the walk, the heat was a bit much for too much out of car time. Thanks.

Found this while in the area with a caving group. Came here for the lookout and this was a bonus. Thanks.
This was the second of this group of caches which we found on a great drive out from where we were staying in Buchan. Thanks to the clue we had this one quickly in hand and swapped some toys. Thanks MADSTARS for bringing us to this stunning area.
We got to the carpark, and there were a couple of defence force cars parked there. They were nowhere to be seen, however, so we made the find quickly. Then headed off to check out the knob. Thanks for bringing us here.
On our 10th day on holiday in Australia we visited Snowy River National Park coming from the Lake Entrance. This cache was easily found.

Having a break from the hustle bustle of everyday life with a stop over in Buchan with the geo family for a few days. This group of caches popped up on the radar and we thought lets go 
. The geo juniors in the clan loved these one as there was lots of goodies to look at and swap

We had been up this way last year. It was pleasing to get back up here to attempt this new cache of 3 caches. We got to GZ and had the place to ourselves and the cache quickly found. We took the 300m trip up to the right and spotted a lyre bid, it gave us a small display of it's plume before trotting off into the scrub.

This was the fourth of 4 FTF's today.
Made my up to Buchan, after work, to find this series of caches.
The sky was grey and was threating rain.
When I arrived, there was a vehicle parked near GZ. It had ACT plates but no one was in site. I quickly found the cache, signed the log and rehid. Due to the weather I decided to head back home whilst it was still dry. I will return and check the area out with Mizzjane.
The co-ordinates where pretty well spot on.
The cache was certainly packed full of swaps.
