Hi The Pink Kayaker
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards
The Coddiwompler

It took me a while to find the cache, although I looked right at it several times
Thanks for the cache

A walk around tuff crater today and collecting the caches too. After reading the description we soon had the caches in our hands.A nice hiding spot.
Hooray!! Got a find:) description and hint were good, though no longer in 2l sistema container. You're looking for a camo jar. Is that allowed?? Sorry, pretty new to this!!
Out ticking off another day on our calendar. Nice hide. Good to get a smilie for this one after a DNF some time ago. All good here.
Last cache of the walk around tuff ring here and a bit of a tricky one. It's a very popular walking route and not so easy to leave the path to get the cache without freaking out the walkers! Got a gap in the end and dragged Albert the geohound into the bushes with me and found the cache. Signed the log as quickly as I could and put back as found and got back on the path before anyone else came past fortunately. All good here, thanks for the cache.
Had spare container with me. One of my prototypes. Decided to replace this cache. Why not. Have fun. Replaced at GZ of cabbage tree. Enjoy!
No luck for us today, searched all the logical spots and a few illogical ones but we obviously missed one. We'll be back.
Thanks The Pink Kayaker for the cache. This is our find number 770 and we found it at 11:46 AM on 17 February 2018.
WOW what a mission in the sticky heat! After constantly reading the older logs we worked out where it should be and bingo! One sodden log in desperate need of maintenance. For me however this delivers #84 in my 0-100 Challenge so it was worth the scrambling around and also the view of the old crater which I didn’t know existed.

This took us a bit and the hint had us looking in all the wrong places. Quick scan of the logs and we looked somewhere else and there was the cache. Very very wet log that will need to be replaced
#4983. Up here on holiday for a few days staying with family. Decided today would be the day I would crack 5000 cache finds and headed over to the North Shore to locate 21 caches. The weather almost upset the mission with several heavy showers falling through the day and some thunder. Also traffic was busier than expected and those yellow lines on the road side did not help me with parking close to caches. But got there in the end. Nice track around the lagoon. This one took a while. Initially went bush looking for suitable roots. No joy so read some logs and those helped to reassess the options. Scoured around one area and just when it seemed a DNF was on the cards, I felt the cache. Sweet. Signed the log which is getting damp. Safely returned cache to the same spot. Thanks for hiding it here The Pink Kayaker.
Quick side trip running some errands today to get some steps onto my Fitbit. Dug deep to find that one. TFTC
Met up today with yorkshirekiwi83 and KirsTim to gather a handful of caches in the area. All the recent rainfall made most of the areas quite muddy and slippy, but thankfully we all managed to stay mostly clean except around the feet.
Lots of careful footing here on this squelchy track. Searched around and the cache was quickly located. Thanks for the hide.

Reading a few logs after our last dnf had us determined to find this cache. We needed a tb, and by hell (or more like high water) we were going to find it. Wasted some time bush bashing and then spent more constructive time reading logs. tftc
Pazzabella and I had a dnf here awhile ago and I was determined to retrieve the
TB that had been placed in this cache the previous day so we returned for another go. A very muddy walk to gz and with some deja vu we set about searching. A previous log gave us a wee nudge as to where to focus our search and Pazzabella made the find so we could finally turn our frowns upside down

Out with Yorkshirekiwi83 & Vamber today to grab a few caches on the shore. We signed the log as KKKTS. The track was pretty muddy. Looked for the hint item but it didn't really fit. Found the cache & left a TB, thanks
KirsTim, Vamber and I had plans to pick up some caches today, with the recent rain it made a lot of the tracks somewhat boggy and slippy, but we survived the day with everyone remaining upright and no mud above the laces, fabulous effort.
Wasnt sure about the hint item but made a quick find, seems they are working on the track but have concentrated the muddy bits into large ppols of swelch. TFTC

This one had us puzzled or was it stumped? ! Ignored the hint & made the grab. Damp log but could still sign log. TFTC
Some bush-bashing for a few mins before B turned up cache very close to path. Pro tip: you need to get muddy. TFTC!
Found while D was busy bush bashing… she shot straight out like a heffalump when I yelled found Ended up using description & hint as guide only. TFTC The Pink Kayaker, nice area.
Found with GERNITA, ignore the DNF's it's definitely still here! Took a little while, not sure of the clue but a smiley face for us! TFTC.
Took a while to find this one, some of us went way too far in! As it hadnt been found for a while it was quite covered in mud and close to being buried! TFTC
We found a small systema sized hole as the hint suggests but nothing in it. Lots of places to search here so decided to give up at this point, especially as the last 2 logs were DNFs.
out with 10centnz for the day, we searched for ages nothing, decided to walk on and do other 2 caches then looked upon return journey again nup still no go what are we missing ok will keep a watch on this one after my cut hands heel
Great, creative hide. We were worried that it hadn't been found in a while, but all is well. Papa Drylie.
My only DNF for the day, and I thought I had my caching senses turned on for the day, obviously not. Lots of my, a cut on my hand but no cache. Oh well it has not beaten me. I will be back.
Everyone else says this was an easy one so not sure what I'm missing here! Was my only DNF of an enjoyable wander around early this morning after an FTF in the reserve.
After work this evening I went for a short walk along the northern section of Tuff Crater to find a few caches before heading home. A nice quick find here on my way past. TFTC!

[Nice little run to the cache, not too far into the crater track.]
Ran past a seat and thought that was it....nope...keep going...

This was our third find along this nice trail. Took TB, left pathtag. TFTC. Mahalo and Aloha from Hawaii.
#304 I picked up the slushy TB in the Taranaki district some time ago. Had every intention of placing it in a new spot in December when we took it to USA on holiday. However, there was too much snow to go where I wanted, so it came back with me to NZ. Finally getting it dropped off.
Out enjoying an early evening stroll around part of the Tuff Crater. Arrived at this Little Dipper and spotted the likely hiding spot, and the cache soon after that. Thanks.
Find # 2 on my 13 cache mission. Took longer to get here than it should have done as I kept getting distacted by the locals.... especially ones aerobatic display...
Cache was easily spotted and retreaved, tho it almost got a dunking when I realised that a slug was nestled in the clasp.
Quick sign of the log & a couple of photos of the slug and it's mate on the other side, and cache was soon tucked up safely in it's bed.

Nice one, Further along the path there was a dip and a path from there in the right direction. I followed it but it led in to a swamp! So I thought, nah. Went further along the path and when I was near GZ it was a quick find. Note to self follow coords first.
Muggles were few and far between today, until I was signing the log. A couple snuck up on me and asked me if I was alright. I was so shocked that I just said 'Yup!' and stood there. Lucky I wasn't at GZ, so I doubt they will come across the cache if they investigate what I was up to.
Rain has eased so a quick hunt for a couple of caches was the order of the afternoon. Nice walk down to GZ and a quick retrieval of cache - only complicated thing was finding a pen to log it! TFTC.
Good grief after reading the logs I thought oh no I have to stick my hand into a hole. so I did. I was rewarded with a surprisingly dry cache . good hint . TFTC.
I had a good look all around before I found the right spot to get to the cache. TFTC.
11.45am. Concern arose when during the brisk walk around the crater from Arahia the batteries in the gps gave out. Replacements back in car and no spare time to return to retrieve them. Relied on a final spurt of power when I got near where I thought GZ was. And yes it worked again for the brief spell necessary. Located, wiped mud off arm, signed log & left signature pathtag .

This cache was found as a part of 'SJCGeocamp', a group of year 10 students (and teachers) on a Geocaching camp. We actually grabbed this cache on a night cache mission in the area. The view from the top of the path of the Harbour bridge and city center was fantastic.
