This is one we had despaired of getting after missing it on a visit to Richmond, VA earlier in the year. We were visiting the monuments in Washington, DC on Veterans Day, driving east along independence Avenue, when we saw this coming towards us. Just had time to realize what we were seeing and grab the camera and GPS and take a very quick picture out the window as it want by. Everyone else was doing the same (well, not necessarily with a GPS in hand). We tried to turn around and backtrack to find it, but were not successful. Later, we heard from friends in Hagerstown, Maryland that it had picked up some veterans for a trip to the World War II Memorial in DC. Probably it was headed back to Hagerstown from there when we saw it in the afternoon.
We went to see the Weinermobile last year in the Laguna Niguel, California Holiday Parade. I saw my first Wienermobile in Florida in the early '60's and also still have the whistle. We have this Wienermobile to commemorate these sightings and can find it on our tree. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!
These dogs must have been tired... they were parked at a Holiday Inn Express at 3382 Green Mount Crossing Rd, O'Fallon, IL. Yesterday, they were on base (Scott AFB) at the Commissary, but I was not able to get there. Fortunately, my wife saw them at the hotel. We got the Hershey Kissmobile last year and were hoping to nab this one.
This thing is cool. The girls let us go in and sit at the wheel and all. Got a lot of photos of this one. Good scrapbooking material too. Not every day you see one of these.
The last time we saw one was at the Henry Ford Musuem in Dearborn MI so this one was neat to run across.

What a treat for me. I was in Ruskin, Florida helping an old Scouting friend cleaning up his home and decided to try to pick-up a few caches on the way home. While logging a quick PnG, what drives past me..... You guessed it!!!
I'm following this thing down the street trying to figure out how to get them to pull over so I can snap a couple of PDA pics. Before you know it they had made a right turn and pulled into a front yard.
Bam, I hit the brakes, find a parking place, and approach, PDA and GPSr in hand. They gave me permission to snap the shots. One of the shots shows a little girl. As best I can tell, they hired the WM for the girl's BIRTHDAY PARTY.
Address showed as 69 4th Street NW, Ruskin, FL.
Another tid bit. The license plate reads BOLOGNA. Doncha just wanna sing along.
Oscar Mayer has a way with B O L O G N A.

I found this Hot Dog Mobile on the corner of Hendersonville Rd and Airport Rd in Asheville, North Carolina in the parking lot of the Lutheran Church of the Nativity and the proud home of Nativity Preschool from which both of my kids are alums. The license plate read "Bologna," so I road all the way home singing, "My bologna has a first name.....B-O-L-O-G-N-A!" Thanks for the fun!

I was flipping through the tv channels when a news clip started running. A church across town was having a giant safe Halloween event, complete with live concert, carnival rides and the best thing; the giant hot dog car.

The wiener mobile visited my hometown of Shamokin, PA today. People were standing in the rain for over an hour waiting for this wiener-on-wheels to arrive. It seem that the local person who won the contest works at the Visiting Nurse Association in Shamokin. The prize was she gets to ride in the big wienie for the day.

I hope you allow this as a find, I tried hard to find where this big Wienermobile was heading but couldn't find it.. I was in the process of exchanging xray plates with my tech- and threw everything to the ground when I saw the Wienermobile at the red light across the street at Fletcher Ave and Bruce B. Downs Blvd in Tampa,FL- I hit the top of my head hard when I dove in to the back seat to grab the GPS and the Camera.. I was in such a rush that forgot to turn on the GPS in the shot with the mobile..but took a shot of the gps with the coords to show where I was.. PLEASE I couldn't get the plate number due to the distance and what I was doing at the time...let this go through as a find- this whole story to get these 2 shots is true...
#980: ANYONE who thinks that the locationless caches are easy, are, well, WEINIES! I wish to thank Nutty Linda of the Caching Nuts for tipping me off for this very elusive dog. MrMogger saw this exact vehicle last month or so heading south on I-81 leaving the Scranton, PA area, but was going in the opposite direction with a load of stone and couldn't find a quick u-turn. We posted a note here indicating the sighting. Well, it paid off. Linda apparently has a watch on this cache and called us last night as the Hot Dog was in Pottsville. I called the hotel where she told me the vehicle was parked, was connected with Cold Cut Katie (co-pilot or pilot of the Dog), who told me where to meet her this morning. She and Saurkraut Sean (or Shawn) were delivering the hot dog to Penske in West Hazelton for detailing. It appears someone local won a ride in the dog. It will be in the area through the week. Now I can scratch this off my list. Now I hope to get the Kissmobile on Thursday.. if there's one in Hershey, PA. Thanks for the 5-star cache (nothing less) and Linda, I have a weinie whistle for you!
What a perfect way to end a perfect caching day. We started out early this morning with a FTF and then as we were driving home along RT 61 in Pottsville PA about 6:00pm, the saner nut says, "Linda, there's a wienermobible, do you need that as a cache?" WHAT!!!!!WAS HE KIDDING????? My eyes flew out of my head as I was yelling "turn here.. turn here". Parked in the parking lot of the Quality Inn right next to it and took our required pictures, as did many more curious people who stopped to get a good look at it. The drivers had retired for the day, so no one was there to give us any whistles, but that is OK as just finally finding it was enough of a thrill. Oh and the license plate was OUR DOG. Inside tip: This wienermobile is headed to West Hazelton PA tomorrow, so hopefully this will give some more cachers a lead on its whereabouts. Thanks for a great cache....OH I wish I were.......

When I pulled into the local Publix in South Lakeland I was surprised to see the Wienermobile parked in front. I had to run into the store for some groceries and when I was coming out they were getting ready to drive off. I grabbed the GPSr and camera and snapped a picture but didn't have time to get the license plate so I hope this is acceptable. Thanks!
Unfortunately I didn't previously read the requirements of this cache, so I am hoping that what I got will be enough. I was cruising around taking care of business here in San Jose, CA when I saw it. I knew that there was a locationless for this one, and I knew that I could make Roon (of Jug & Roon) very jealous that I found it. So I went to the store and picked up a disposable camera since I didn't have my digital with me (and there will be a delay in getting the pictures up). I also did not get a picture of me with the dog, but I did get one with the GPS and the dog. I also did get one of the plate. I think it was the one that said WEENER, from Wisconsin anyway. There were two people there with it. They were heading back to San Francisco after they were done here for the night. Fun to see it, but I never saw any advertising that it would be around. Thanks for the cache and fun site!
I heard on the radio that there is a Weinermobile in San Francisco now. Any of you watchers have tips on how I can narrow my search?
Thanks!
Thanks!

This one turned out to be an easy one... just had to wait for the right time. The local grocery stores put a huge ad in the newspaper listing the dates and times that the weinermobile would be visiting each store.

Found with guitarlizard at I-35 and Chouteau, Kansas City, MO. On display at Festival Foods Grocery Store. I had to sing the "Oscar Mayer Weiner Song" to get a Weinermobile whistle. Thanks for the reverse cache!

I saw YUMMY tagged mobile today! Is it wrong that now that I've seen an Oscar Mayer mobile in person that I want one? I was in the area caching and when I saw this drive by I had to do a u-turn and bag this one. I followed this one for about 8 miles till I came to the realization that it wasn't going to stop! I snapped 9 pictures and these 2 are the best you can see the coordinates clearly. Too cool!
This one is just for fun....a boat hot dog? Any relation (ha). Kids were at a "take a kid fishing" event at Timmer's Resort at Big Cedar Lake. Enjoy the picture.
Ran up to store and realize we had a cache in the parking lot. Ran home and got the GPS and camera. We really enjoyed looking at the inside and reading the information about the weinermobile. We even told the people what we were doing and the guy from the weinermobile got in the picture.
