Unfortunately I think I have to archive this one. It was one of my favourites, but I can't see me repairing it to a point that I'm happy with it and it remains the same cache. So if I put another night cache here it will be a different cache so I'll start again. Thanks for the favourites (17 at time of archiving) and all who enjoyed the night caching experience here.
Went to do maintenance on this one to find it muggled, contents strewn about the place looks like a few weeks ago. I'll mull over whether it will work differently as obviously the final hide location is compromised.
Sad to see this one has been archived since I found it.it appears mountainman and I were the last ones to find it. We wondered about the health and longevity of this cache, but enjoyed it very much. We had a feast on night caches this night, and this was our last find...at 1:30am in the morning.
Thumbs up for the container, I have one exactly the same way way up high in a tree on a certain puzzle cache...QRazy hey?
I like the tribute to Sergeant Dan here, I think mountainman got confused with Forrest Gump in his log.
Thanks for the cache.

1:30 am Getting to the end of a nights geocaching with Dahumbug! Nice trail, beautiful wildlife, sorry to hear ya lost ya legs Sgt Dan Stiller. Thanks for a nice park and easy walking track! fwf! Tftc! Nice new reflectors are awesome! Thanks for the effort.
Very good indeed! Our sixth ever hunt and first night time adventure. Great effort from PJATPAC. Loved the effort. Gave us great ideas to place our own? My 10 year old son is loving this hobby. Thank you! Jenga block left, signed for future travels.
Actually had to do some work! The gums are ahedding their bark so I had to reposition some markers. All good to go again.
Our first night cache. Was a great adventure and it took us by surprise. Good hide. Very well done! Found with NJB17.
Came to check out the wildlife in the early morning. Everything is in order at this cache.

Enjoyed the walk, took longer than I anticipated since my two year old was trailing along and kept stopping to pick up "treasures"
All in good order. TFTC

Goldielover and I had a quiet night at home. Around 9pm we decided to do this night cache. A very enjoyable walk was soon rewarded with a great cache. Unfortunately no sign of any wild life at all, but we could hear the hoons doing burnouts not too far away. Signed our names in the well stocked cache.
Thanks PJATPAC

We needed a souvenir today and left it very late in the day to find a cache. What a perfect excuse for a night cache. So stairman1 and I grabbed our torches and geodog and off we went. Arrived to find a heap of teenagers wandering near GZ. Watched them for a while then headed off. Geodog enjoys night time caching but was a little impatient being on a lead. It was very cold out and I was glad to pick up speed to keep warm. We arrived at GZ and a cool surprise greeted us. Signed the log then headed off. Didn't see any nightlife only heard some doing burnouts around the corner. Thanks PJATPAC a nice fun cache
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
There was an event to celebrate all the night caches in the area and it was Mastamak, TriBre and BosNewellgus?s duty to take part in the event and the night caching. The weather was good and the company on route was too.
After the event this was the first port of call, we all waited in line to have our turn on descending on the cache. I have to say this would be great for kids, the path is well defined and the trip is not too long. The first ?Cache? is a great idea and I know a few of the kids in our hunting party loved the final cache container. Just be careful around the final cache container site as there was a lot of mud and did make it slipper in the low light of night.
This was the 1st find of 4 finds for the day. I apologise for the late logs, I am so far behind, I am trying to catch up...

Out as part of a mass raid to secure this smiley tonight, the pack trekked along the path to much flashing of lights and chatter
We soon located relevant waypoint and collected co-ords for GZ
After a bit more nocturnal exploring we arrived at GZ and cache was soon spotted..
Log was passed around for marking and we retraced our steps to the start point

After meeting up with some old and new friends at the nearby event, we headed off in search of the wildlife. It wasn't long until we arrived at GZ and were signing the log as some fellow characters joined us.

We followed the flock of sheep along the trail to the cache. Easy find, too easy. Second cache of this type I have found. The other was in Alice Springs.

Loved this cache type and would love to do some more when my foot is fully healed. Thanks for all your efforts and the gathering.
So what's all the hub-bub about this cache then?
I do like a night cache - so was more than eager to attend an Event devoted to one.
Everyone was setting off in groups, so we followed suit. On some "not so loved" night caches, the firetacks are hard to see or non-existent. No such problems here. The old Led Lenser torch lit them up well
We followed our way through, chatting amongst ourselves - until we arrived at the WP. With the obligatory, repeating the co-ordinates fifty times till everyone had it, we were off to the final.
We were seen greeted by a likely looking cache guardian at the final GZ. A fine effort indeed. And a great little cache. Good to see night caches having a resurgence. TFTC PJATPAC

Found this cache whilst out with Captain Terror, Gaz`n`kab, Fangsoki and Whint and Bad Dal, amongst others, whilst out for the Night of the Night Cachers event. We were in the second group and had no problem finding the reflectors with Fangsokis high beam torch. Gaz spotted the waypoint first and went in for the retrieval. We took the very long walk to GZ and spotted the container quickly. As we were signing the next group (who obviously didn't wait as long... must have been excited) caught up with us. Thanks for the cache PJATPAC it was a great night
A great adventure for the Night of the Night Cachers Event. Did with the cache owner and the gang. TFTC.
Bummer! I read the previous Owner Maintenance log and was hoping to pick up some spare parts this evening, seems it was not to be.
Like every other man, child, woman, geocacher and their dog tonight, I grabbed this one just after the nearby event devoted to night caches in the area. This was the only I'd not done so with Gaz'n'Kab, Fangsoki, Net88 and Whint, set off from the gate (which looked more like the airport carpark). After the previous group were out of sight, we arced up torches and headed into the darkness.
The firetacks here worked very well for us, no question about where to go. Naturally in a group, of geocachers the conversation was flowing and the jokes had us laughing. A bit of a slippery walk but eventually our group, which had grown somewhat arrived at the penultimate spot. Gaz read the co-ords (several times as seems to be mandatory so everyone has them) and we were off to the final. In the concentrated light of several dozen torches, it was an easy find. The logbook passed around and the deed done, including spotting the wildlife.
I do like a good night cache and this one is no exception. Not sure any other cache near here has ever been so popular at one time though. TFTC PJATPAC

Brilliant cache. Love the container. This is our first night find, what a great idea, just like following little fireflies. TFTC
Not sure what number group we were, but a bunch of us headed off down the path and followed the yellow tack road... There was plenty of guidance and it wasn't long before we came across the ring of fire... With the details obtained for the final, we continued along the trail as the GPS counted down.
At GZ, it felt like we were being watched... I could feel something gazing at us but couldn't sense what... Ignoring the discomfort, we moved in for the container and it was located quickly as GZ was surrounded... [^] A quick game of pass the log and with business sorted, we tucked the very apt container away and headed off. What a hoot...
Cheers PJATPAC.

Found with the hoards after the nearby event... not sure which group I was in either but I know we were after the Gunnie
Made the sloshy walk through the darkness with my rowdy bunch before finding the hidden co-ords and making our way to check out the wildlife in the darkness All safe and well of course.... log book passed about and not replaced before the next group caught up with us... after this one our smaller group (we seemed to lose a few at GZ) headed off to find the next one nearby
tftc and the adventure

Didn't really need to do too much on this one - just follow the hoards and sign the log book once at GZ. Great people to have a chat to on the walk though.

Found the cache with our group from the Night Cachers Event. Great cache. TFTC.
We attended the event tonight and then headed to find out what all the "night cache" fuss was about. We hadn't ever done one, although we have meant to for a while. The walk was easy due to recent grading, Thanks to council? The shinys were easy to follow and I'm glad for my boots for the few muddy bits we passed. We came across the prior group and logged our names in the book. I love the container and even have one at home. Thanks you and your family for the event, for the night cache and I hope your little one is okay after his bumps.
This was the first of three night caches planned. We joined in with our group and followed the path required.
Found our first WP and entered new co-ords. Must have done something wrong as we had over a kilometre away.
Waited for next group that were right behind and entered correct number. Made our way to final to find an interesting container.
Log signed.
A favourite from me. TFTH

Found at the event tonight with the first group with Crew153, Fluffybutterflies, Geoscout92 and Laney1991.
Followed the trail down to the waypoint where the kids found the co ords for gz. Co ords loaded it was off to gz to find this cool container.
Tftc Pjatpac, a fav point for this one!

I found this again tonight with a group of friendly cachers. I placed the "Home Sweet Home" TB in the cache, but for some reason it didnt process correctly. It is showing that the TB is in a nearby cache called "All Aboard". I will attempt to get back asap to fix it. Otherwise, if you wish to take it in the meantime, you could "take" it from the other cache.
This cache brings back great memories as it was my first ever night cache, and as a newbie we found it challanging but fun. Thanks PJATPAC!

Attended an event close by and this was the first one tonight. My first event and night cache in one. I didn't have to do to much, just followed the group of adventurers along the trail to WP2. I think it was Gaz from Gaz N Kab who read out the next co-ords for us all. Shortly after we found GZ. Cool cache container, very suitable for a night cache. Added my name to the list of others then headed for the car via a couple other finds.
Thanks PJATPAC for a great cache and an equally great event. Cheers

Out for the day with Whird, with the intention of logging seven different cache type today. This little cache brings up 7 of 7 types and completes that goal for the day.
It was also nice to get in and do another night cache not quite as demanding as the last one I did, but no less it was much fun to be had with a great group of cachers.

What a perfect night for this cache. First day of winter and found myself removing layers as it was quite warm.
Thanks to Mr and Mrs PJATPAC for the hide. A favourite from us. Hope little PJATPAC's head isn't sore today.

One of the goals for the night was to find my way through the hunt for the wildlife.
I had arranged for a group of us to leave the event before the others so that I could complete this cache and then head to Parkinson's Curse and 2915 to guide the others through those caches.
A group of 8 of us headed into the darkness and as usual it was the juniors of the group who led the way,
After a short bush bash when it wasn't required we soon arrived at the markers and received the information to get to the wildlife.
A great container and all the kids enjoyed digging through the contents.
Thanks PJAPTAC. a great adventure.

The cache is in good condition but the track is a bit mushy. Gumboots may be an option for the kids. Just a little slip sliding in my sneakers.
Another stolen car burnt out on the way to GZ. Good news, however, the entire path for this cache has now been graded! Thanks BCC
I'm on the way and realise I have not found a cache today and it is dark. But there is a night cache just along here. So I exit the highway and make my way to the start.
Started at 6pm and followed the sparkles to a big log but no cache. Eventually I notice something and am soon on my way again. And a short time later I have opened the cache ( the wrong way) and there is stuff all over the place. bugger.
I think I managed to pick up everything and tucked everything back where it belonged.
What a hoot. A great little night cache.

teamdfl and I had considered doing this one last night but were feeling the need for some rest, so decided to add this cache to the very beginning of a crazy-stupid day! The wake up call was at 3.30am for a 4.00am departure and we made our way to the start. We had no trouble at all finding and following the tags and, much quicker than we expected, were at the ring of fire. Some quick punching in of numbers and we made our way to GZ where the cache was very easily spotted. TFTC, PJATPAC. It's nicely put together.
Running a little late, we arrived at the parking spot and after some fumbling around with baby carriers and the usual junk, we headed to GZ. A good bunch of characters in tow and little girls walking hand in hand, we took to the trail.
Mrs PJATPAC gave me a lesson in entering waypoints at stage 1 and then I realised everyone had left us. Fortunately, they hadn't gotten too far before the final stage was complete and the cache was in hand.
The little ones had a blast rummaging through the loot and once each treasure had been carefully selected, we placed our dear friend back in his home for the next nightcachers to discover.
Thank Mr and Mrs PJATPAC for our guided tour and TFTC.

Grabbed the geo bike and trailer for the geokids and went down to check everything is in order for tonight's adventure. All looks good
The CO had graciously organised a guided tour of this night time child friendly cache. With much jumping and running and waving of torches we set off with a group of excited little ones leading the charge. The trail was followed from point to point and we soon arrived at the waypoint, co-ords noted we arrived at the GZ and located the cache. Large amounts of goodies were passed around the younger ones and the older ones as well. Back to the cars for some nice cake and a chat. Thanks to the CO and family for a pleasant evening stroll. TFTC
We thoroughly enjoyed our nighttime adventure here with PJATPAC, Bulldozer and GeoTactics. The children made the night totally enjoyable with their excitement, fun, laughter, torches, and handholding. This is a very nice cache and we felt totally safe from nasty wildlife as we made our way along the wide track. We can thoroughly recommend this cache to families of all kinds. Nearly everyone had their own torch, pockets were bulging with swag, fun was had as swaps were made, and the cache was safely returned to it's home. Much conversation was enjoyed on the walk back and yet more cake shared around while we chatted before leaving. What a great idea this was tonight PJATPAC. Thank you!
We are very happy to award another favourite point for our experience tonight. TN Left:some swag. SL.
Oh, I nearly forgot! This is our 3,300th milestone. Delighted!

heading out for a big day with IolantheK. Reveille was at 03:00. Out the door by 4am and log signed around 4:45am. Great trail, nice and easy to follow. Found the ring of fire and were soon on our way to GZ. A nice quick spot by IolantheK. Did not see to much wildlife, only the thousands of spiders that lurk in the hours of darkness
Having recently purchased a brand new torch to add to the caching equipment arsenal and being in the area in the evening, we just had to try for our first night cache.
Arriving at the starting point we saw our first sign of wildlife for the evening, would you believe it - a large tawny frogmouth perched atop the Sgt Dan Stiller memorial.
Looking around with the torches we soon picked up the trail and made our way to the 'ring of fire' only being bothered along the way by the second type of wildlife in abundance - mozzies!
A quick readjustment of the compass bearing followed and we quickly had the cache in sight. All up, a great introduction to night caching with a well marked trail suitable for all ages. Another favourite for me
Everything in good condition.

Had a great morning this morning chasing down some of the CO's caches. Now have that favourite point I promised. Thanks again.
Our second night cache journey for me, my hunting buddy and 4 geokids, we found the first part quite easy and got to the ring of fire, we spent a while trying to work out what was the different guide, the kids were getting whingy and tired and wanted to go home, however we knew we were so close, so we kept hunting around and finally my buddy came across the cache. We were temporarily worried about the big spider that was right near the cache when we were retrieving it, flicked it away with the torch, got the cache, very interesting in itself, lots of great goodies for the kids, so it made it worth the effort for them. A very clever and well thought out cache.
TFTC Wonderful multi, that is fantastically kid friendly and not too long winded, so as the ultra littlies don't get tuckered out. Fantastic reflectors! Great cache with lots of bounty. Just don't wake up it's guardian in the day. Don't think it's a morning person. Favourite point from me
Was taken out of the FTF race on this the other night as I was pinned to the lounge by a snoring miss 4. Not to worry as it was much more fun as a trio doing it with mrs HNRooster and mrs PJATPAC
I highly recommend doing this at night to be able to appreciate it at its best. Brilliant planning and effort has gone into this cache and it was a nice easy walk which kids would enjoy. Loved the container as always you have done a brilliant job. What a HOOT TFTC a fav point from me

My first night cache and what a hoot. Started bad though as we,(geo junior) and myself arrived at the parking area and found the gate locked and no visible access. Jumped the fence but wasn't sure if we were breaking any access rules. Signs only said no 4 wheel drives or motor-bikes. Well, we're walking so guess were OK. Second problem, battery of GPS failed, bugger no spares. Turned it off to see if I could get a spark later. Torches on and started searching. Received a sign from up above and knew we were on a good thing. Trail was easy to follow and sharp young eyes spotted something different? A new set of co-eds!! Stroking my GPS gently and speaking softly to it I turned it on again hoping there was enough spark to get a bearing. The caching gods were kind and we're headed off (thankfully not to far) and again the young eyes had it and cache was soon in hand. Only 2nd to find , wow, that's a surprise as it's been out there a few nights at least. Thanks PJATPAC, loved it. Don't have any favourite points in store at the moment but will give it one as soon as I have one.
***FTF*** Found at 8:45 PM by Dr Hunting Rabbit alone. Hoot Hoot
What a night. Phone died on the way home from work, was charging for 5 min, then beep beep. With Mrs Hunting Rabbit out I was off quick. Parked the car and was drawn towards the ring of fire. With only 4% battery power left I'm so glad this was a fast find.
What's with FTF multi chases at night? This is #2 in a row and this time I was alone. I hate being in the Australian bush alone but I'm glad this one is kid friendly. No snakes seen tonight only 1 wallaby, 1 possum (ran up to me) and lots of cane toads.
TFTC & FTF GC PJATPAC. Nothing wrong with this one nighttime multi.
