Another day off and perfect weather so bribbed the teens to head out with the pooch and enjoy this weather, a few grumblings that its hot, how much longer... teens...
Parked car at Anderson and walked the trail... Saw a horse (on the trail), a snake, loads of birds, some dragonflies, cows (they weren't very good at playing "Hey Cow"... had the trail to ourselves pretty much of the way but saw a few bike riders when we headed back.
Lovely views here and the grass so green, long and lush bit for how long

Using a new Ebike along the trail finding some good caches today found quickly signed and replaced...TFTC
Been on bike ride with geodog to Woolamai and back Missed this one on the way down ( my second attempt for the morning ) On the way back found quickly - how did I miss that ? . Shows you what a bit of banana can do for your brain . Definitely needed to warm up ! Last one although I realise I missed one. Thanks for the time and effort Gonefishen07 along this track.
Apologies for the late log. My family were away in New Zealand so I planned a few caching excursions and I’m still catching up on logs. This was a great day spent on bikes on the Bass Coast Rail Trail with liambaxter88. Rain was forecast so were really pleased to get through till just after lunch when we had to abandon and not before we had brought up Liam’s biggest ever caching day. I apologise for my logs being largely generic as I didn’t take notes on the day and have been slow to log. We had shuffled the car around to the car park at Anderson and rode back to pick up the remaining ones on this section. My 19th of 49 finds for the day. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and the series Gonefishen07.
This series was part of my biggest caching day so far! Thanks to AnnoyingTarbit for taking me down here and Gonefishen07 for the time put into the series. We somewhat managed to avoid most of the rain.
Continuing on our adventure after attending the Alexandra Mega Event, we found ourselves spending a few days on Phillip Island. While we tried to take advantage of the many great places to see on the island, we were pre-occupied with trying to complete the qualifying requirements for a particular challenge cache we had signed in Ballarat prior to the Surf Coast Mega Event last year. It really does pay to check the finer details of a challenge cache before you decide to look for it We had thought you needed to have found 100 caches in Victoria, but it was only when we came to log it that we realised the 100 caches in Victoria had to have been placed by the same cache owner
Anyway, initially we thought we would complete the challenge by doing the Mt Disappointment caches, but then friends who knew we were heading to Phillip Island told us we would easily qualify for the challenge there, and they would be much more interesting caches Well they were quite interesting, and some of them were downright sneaky
In the end, we had an enjoyable couple of days exploring Phillip Island and finding a variety of cache hides, with some great walks along some of the beaches and other places
Thank you Gonefishen07 for having placed the cache and maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Probably spent longer here than I intended, the rain was pouring down and I think it effected the GPS chip. I finally found the thing a distance away from where I was being pointed. The ah ha when I found it wasn't just for this cache, but also for the one before as I reckon I know where that is now. Oh well!

I offered up my Uncle duties to the three kids for the day but they had plans so I threw the bike in the car to head down to the rail trail series again. I didn't see many people on the trail today but even better was the lack of flies. They really got to me last time I came here.
27 cache finds and 3 dnf's.
Not bad all in all. The weather was great and the exercise was much needed.
Time to finish off this section of the rail trail. Quick find with cache visible from track. Signed and replaced.
Thanks Gonefishen07

Since moving from New Zealand I have been enjoying the area, exploring and finding caches. I have got a nice streak going and hoping to let it run for as long as possible. I usually cache on my own but sometimes I will collect my nephew stinky bob and my brother stinky tom who both enjoy this hobby.
A big thanks goes out to all the cachers and cache owners without whom this lifestyle would not be possible.
The caches I’ve found in Australia so far have for the most part all been in great condition. Keep up the good work.

I tackled the last part of the Bass Rail Trail starting and finishing at Mc Garth Road. Another good cycling experience with plenty of caches to keep me amused the along the way. The ride back to the car was a nice downhill run. Cheers and TFTC
I am heading NE along the rail-trail. Thank you so much for this string of caches. I couldn't find some which I will aim to report on. It is a poor morning for caching with constant light rain - unpleasant for caching.
Started a new leg, where I drop geo-hubby off and then I head off to a pre-determined pick up spot. It is so great to be able to make consecutive finds, after all the "Wonthaggi Specials" we have encountering this weekend. TFTC
While out in the company of the McLookers we set out to get a start on the trail with bikes ready & roaring, plenty of water and snacks packed we were off. The sun belting down made for a hot ride but with sunscreen applied and our helmets for protection we enjoyed the trail and all caches on offer. Most caches were found with only a few DNF'S as we kept the pace up ...pedal, search, sign, pedal!
Thanks Gonefishen07 for your efforts put into this rail trail series, we had a ball.

A quick find.
In the area on bikes with The Tritonz with the aim of completing the Rail Trail. The grass was very, very long in many places. Fortunately we did not see a snake...I am not sure how as it was a very snakey kind of day. Thanks GF07, it is a brilliant picturesque trail that gave us the opportunity to see another very pretty part of Victoria.

Steve and Erin out and about on our adventure day, decided to come back to Kilkunda and have a meander down the historic Bass coast rail trail and grab some caches while we are at it. TFTF )
No. 2 for the day. Getting my steps up and heading towards my 2000. This one was a bit harder but easier once I was on the right side. TFTC

Well Jess and I searched and searched for this and we came to the conclusion that it wasn't there. Then somebody posted that they found it so we'll be back.
Beautiful views. No cache, at least not that I could find. Of course by the time I got to here, I was quite tired so it might have been 'tootiredtoseeitis'. Will have to go and have another look one day.
I was looking back on caches that others had logged but i had not, it seems that geojill_11 and 4bait found this, it probably got caught up with my DNF list

Out for a ride with Mark9375 and 4bait. Quick grab and we were on our way. TFTC
As we neared the location the cache was exposed. Log signed and now concealed for the next find.
EF for this one was a bit out in the open we're guessing that was how it was intended going by the camo tftc with geodude#74
Took a while to find this one, but once find couldn't believe I hadn't found it earlier. TFTC
Back today to complete this trail, in the comnpany of quiet1_au and GJMMelb. This time we had brought our bikes. We had searched for quite a while when we first passed GZ, but without success. A call to the owner confirmed that we had indeed only been 10cm away from it. Found on the way back.. TFTC
Found with Lochb and quiet1_au. We hunted for a longish time here on the way without any luck, looking on both sides of the track. At the end of trail after finding all the others I contacted the CO who responded with the location which confirmed where we had been looking. Coming back Q found the cache well hidden. Thanks Gonefishen07

After just 2 hours sleep, JSando and I got up super early, with bikes and esky loaded and headed to Wonthaggi for the annual New Years event, with a plan to knock over at least a small piece of the rail trail around here. This was our tenth find for the day. Took us a little longer than it should with the GPS being undecided. Many TFTC
Second time lucky, this cache caused us grief on the ride to Woolamai so we had to skip it. So on our speedy return leg we stopped to have another go (between wooshing away those damn flies!) Last time I concentrated my search on the other side of the trail and so I decided to expand my search and checked the other side, which paid off when after a bit of a search something caught my eye and finally the cache was revealed. Phew - we really didn't want a DNF after such a successful cache ride TFTC
Didn't find the cache initially. Spent some time looking before we moved on. We came back after the New Year's Day event and found very quickly. Just one of those easy finds that wasn't easy at the time! Should have found it first time round! Our hands were only 50mm from it. Lol TFTC.
As we were going to be time poor to get to Anderson, we decided to restrict our search time for each cache and ran out of time on this one.
As the day went on, we realised that many of our DNF's had this same hint. It must be our Achille's heel. There were too many blackberries and nettles to search safely.

My forth and final day down the coast today and I had decided last night that I would just do a few easy caches on my way back up North. As I drove past Kilcunda though, I ended up surprising myself and parking…
I still had half a rail trail to complete and a bike in the back! Even though I was extremely tired and sore from the last three days of intense caching, my mind was made up and well.. Once a Mountain Goat’s mind is made up, good luck changing it!
So off I rode, completing the second half of the rail trail. Even though the sun was out in full force today, there was no muggles to be seen! This was a huge bonus and sped up my ride considerably as I did need to be getting home!
By the time I hit the end of the rail trail, I had been able to put 45 smileys on caches and only had 7 DNF’s which was a good figure considering the rush I was in. Once again the high standard and variety of caches that awaited me blew me away. Such a well put together series that keeps you interested and always guessing!
Thank you again Gonefishin07 for the time and effort you have put into this series.
The cache may of had a tumble, not wanting to jump fence I didn't find out.

Spent 10 mins looking and despite people logging it as easy, we couldn't find it.
What a great day to be meandering around our lovely country side but no luck here.
We made the trip down from Cranbourne to Anderson to find all the caches between Woolamai Racecourse and Anderson, having already found 10 a week or so ago. Most caches are easily found although some care needs to be taken whilst walking through long grass for snakes.
This was an easy find. Great views along here and worth the walk to see.

Out showing surefoot24 the ropes. TB visit. I do enjoy the variety of views this trail offers. Thx
Another quick find along this trail. While I can't specifically recall this find I know that all the caches along here were brilliantly creative. I am trying to avoid using this generic log but I apologise for this one TFTC
We were staying in Korumburra for a couple of days with The Drovers with the main gaol of completing this rail trail and also hopefully picking up a few challenge caches.
Today started off windy and rainy but at least the rain held off long enough for us to do the first leg. On the plus side there were no muggles to worry about as we only passed one other person on the entire track.
We had a fantastic time finding some unusual containers and with only one DNF we can say what a ball we had today.
Many thanks Gonefishen07 for not only the trail but for all the work and effort that you have put into the hides.
We apologise for the generic log but are leaving a favourite point on each one to show our appreciation.

Met up with Team Crackers for 2 days, to tackle the Rail Trail and a few local caches.
With the threat of rain, we headed out on the bikes.
We found a good variety of hides, with the odd one being a little tricky.
This is a fantastic trail, and we award each one a favourite point.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Gonefishen07, for us and others to find.

Found by Mary & David at 1350. Not sea views, but pleasant rural ones. Easy find. Our thanks to Gonefishen07.
Travelling around Australia in our Caravan with our cat, today was moving day.
We were moving closer to attend the Wonthaggi New Years Event. After setting up camp it was nearly 3pm but Mr Felix was keen to make a few finds. Mrs Felix dropped him at the end of the rail trail. By 5.45pm it was time to return to cook dinner so the Anchors were thrown and a pick up was set.

An awesome numbers run today with a plan to pass 4000 finds by the end of the year. Managed to find 32 all up which had left me with only 13 to go before the milestone cache.
This was one of many caches found today. Some impressive hides seen and this northern section of the bass rail trail now complete. Apologies for the generic logs
A favorite container, such good variation in the hides. Views great too.

We found this cache today at 4:40pm as number 40 of 60 on our Head for the Rails Southern Tour. We did see some great views up to this point but ironically, at this particular spot, most of the views were blocked by shrubbery. Thanks from D, HA, H & A B-A.
A beautiful day for a walk in the great outdoors. We set about walking the remaining section of the rail trail towards Anderson left unfinished by yesterday's weather. The view from this section of the trail is fantastic. Thanks.
Slowly strolling up the long incline. Glad we didn't try this on the bikes yesterday in the rain and wind. But enjoying every moment today. TFTC
I found this cache walking along the rail trail with my family after we had to stop yesterday when the weather turned bad. Another find along the rail trail. It was a good view from here. Thanks.
Out on a hike today doing the bike trail with dog. Thank you for the day out on the effort with all the caches. Tftc
Out and about with Alansee doing some more of the Rail Trail. The views were great, the traffic not so great, but the main thing here was that we saw no muggles on this part of the trail. Made for an enjoyable day out.
Found with The Swaggies on a beautiful day for a ride. There were still good views to be had but it was about here that the traffic down the highway was at its most obvious.
I had the day off and Trent from KTCvic also had the day off as he is now unemployed ( only for 3 days ) so we decided to go caching somewhere for the day. As these new caches came up over night we decided to come here and then on to The Rail trail from Anderson down to Woolamai, we had a great day chatting and wondering up in the bush here and down on to the rail trail. A big thank you to Leesa for picking us up at the end of the rail trail as we had to get back to Trent's son and pick him up from school, after picking him up we decided to go to the Cranbourne Botanic gardens and grab some caches there as well. Thanks Trent and Campbell for the company and thanks Gonefishen07
