Not the sort of pound I was expecting, but that was ok......and once parked and out of the car, the cache was soon in hand.

It's been rather embarrassing to me that I had 41 States but didn't have NH and ME on my map until today. I resolved that today. My geofriend BellHill and I headed out from the Albany, NY area before 5 AM directly to Kittery with a couple of "rest stops" on the way.
This was an interesting stop. But after looking for awhile in the specified area, we were forced to move on without a smiley.

Went to the Kittery Town Pound today with GatorWrangler and Pocono pup. August cache #31 of 31! I like seeing these town pounds. Thank you, WolfTamer!
Nice hide. I had to slightly move a big rock. I will be back to walk the town forest in the fall. SL
Under large not small rock. And does need to lifted slightly. But did find it with princess unicorn. TFTC
Cacher before us hid this one a little better than normal. But MLE45 and I found it after a little search. was a nice rest stop after all the Kittery caches we found. We especially like finding these old Pounds in the NH towns we visit. TFTC.
Anchored S/V Japheth off Fort McClary and brought the bikes into the town dock for a geocache/ outlet mall expedition. Thanks for the adventure.

Woohoo! This completes the 5 states in a day challenge for us. New York, Vermont, Massachusettes, New Hampshire and Maine. Made quick work of the find and talked to a local walking her dogs on the way back to the car. TFTC!
This cache completes our five states in a day challenge. Monahmat and I started in New York this morning and made our way north for a family vacation. The hint led us right to the cache and we enjoyed reading some history before heading back to the car. TFTC!
