Went back for a second look today after trying for the first time yesterday. Did not find. Searched it's hiding spot as per photos and surrounding area but no luck. We rode the first time and walked today. Lots of fun. Thank you.
Wandering around with chooknchunk, n0w0rries and bunadoorian picking up rubbish for the nearby CITO. We found a few caches along the way and this was but one of them.
Thanks Wakkatoo for placing this cache.

Found with n0w0rries, bunadoorian and micaparamedic, while cleaning up the area as part of a CITO. Clever little hide in quite a secluded location. TFTC Wakkatoo.
Hole in one!
It was great to find this cache with friends today as we collected rubbish around the lake.
It marks a waypoint for how far we ventured. Picked up the remnants of a discarded vacuum cleaner on our way back.
Thanks for the cache Wakkatoo

I was wandering around at the nearby CITO when I hooked up with Noworries and other cachers. We were having a great time picking up rubbish and eventually worked our way over to this cache. Some of us were searching around when Noworries found the cache. Clever hide. TFTC.
I contemplated bringing the Shonky 4wd in here but caution reigned given the size of those mud holes. Also I am too lazy to wash the car afterwards...
I like this cache. I saw it straight away but it is a clever hide.
A train went past towards Maryborough just after I signed the log.

Easy find. Fun. The small rocks washed up against the trees tricked me at first as to likely hiding spots
Out for the day for a mothers day cache! Bit of a chilly one but well rugged up. Having such a wonderful day! TFTC!!
Another lovely drive to find this cache - fortunately our geomobile was able to drive down the track that was very muddy in spots and with some potholes full of water.
Good place for the cache hide too! Colour of cache container blended in well with its surrounds.

I have been meaning to get this one for ages. I did however park in the wrong spot but I managed easily enough to cross the waterhole on the way.

After looking at the last couple of logs, I decided to give it a go. No harm in looking. After some wandering around, finally found cache container which had strayed from its 'home' Nice to know it was not completely lost. TFTC
The second full day in Ballarat and surrounds with BettyBoo3747.
Today we went through Miners Rest and then to the Christmas series. We then had a late lunch in Creswick, and a few caches around town to finish off.
We found our way into Harry's Hole after trying the wrong way, but no cache could we find here today.
Thanks, Robmc.

It looks like a nice hole for dogs to go swimming. Cache was an easy find. Cigc. Tftc
Mrs harrowang walked to this one with Markndee while Mr harrowang collected the geocruiser and met us nearby. SL at 4.07pm #4809 TFTC Wakkatoo
We walked with Harrowang from the Peaceful Place and found this clever one at 4:07pm. SL TFTC
on the way walking over, chuckiechoo and i found a pair of pants and a hat in a tree... bit creepy but t'was grouse when we found the cache !
Find #1383 for me. Found on my way to Ballarat from Bendigo. Usually I have the kids with me when I pass through Creswick but not today, so I decided to take the opportunity to look for this cache as it required a short walk which would be difficult with the kids (who usually prefer to remain in the car). I followed a ute right up to the transfer station where I left my car. Not sure if the ute driver thought that was strange or even noticed, but I was on a mission so didn't let it bother me. My GPS liked the coordinates leading to a quick find at GZ. Thanks for giving this cache a new life after the flooding last year Wakkatoo!
Visiting Creswick again for some Fishin and Caching. Our last time here was Nov 2016 and during that two weeks learned heaps and scored some 70+ caches to add to our tally. We thought we had cleaned out most of the Creswick caches. Not so. On returning home we became Premium Members and succeeded in exposing about another 80+ in this lovely area. Yehaaa.
This visit to Creswick was for a relatively short period. (3 days) Lots more still to collect from this wonderfully historic town. Thanks Creswick, and thanks also to the CO's and their hard work.
Hoping you will forgive the generic logs.
Thanks for the cache Wakkatoo and all your maintenance.

Due to recent flooding, this one may have disappeared. Putting a hold on it until I can check.
Parked at the tip and walked in. Beautiful tree, awfully cold and glad to get out of there. TFTC
TFTC. Out to nab a few more smilies in Creswick today with Jaggedwings and the GeoMutt. Quick find here, great bridge in the background.
Late Entry :We headed off for a lovely day and got to see some lovely areas, This one had us stumped for a while then we realised where we were going wrong but geoson enjoys the search and soon it was in hand, signed and replaced, Thanks for bringing us into this area, and for the fun, TFTC
Suscoe headed north of Ballarat to the Creswick area today in the great company of our mate Bushfire.
It was a cool Summer's day with plenty of cloud cover during the morning and as the day went by the sun poked through every now and again. It rained and drizzled early on but even that dried up during the later parts of the day.
We had a terrific time visiting caches and enjoyed the various hides, locations and containers.
This was our 14th find for the day.
The drizzle was back when we arrived.
The cache was soon in hand.
Thanks to Wakkatoo for placing this cache here. Sad about the rubbish just dumped along the side of the road.

Out and about with my caching mates the suscoe cachers today and North of Ballarat so a few caches in the bush where the 4x4 White Beast would have enjoyed the fairly easy bush tracks and climbed the occasional steep hill. The silver falcon was a little out of it's comfit zone but did a great job.
The morning had a little drizzle and then the sun tried to shine through but the day was fairly cool for this time of the year.
I have never been here before so was all new to the ageing bushfire.

Found by Team Ladava during a visit to the delightful town of Creswick today with the showers of rain somehow adding to the enjoyment of a rare day out caching after the recent heat.
I bravely (or foolishly) took the geo-Falcon down the track to park ten metres from gz as indicated and got away with it but it could have ended in tears after today’s rain.
The best part of this one was the historic old bridge nearby.

Our thanks to Wakkatoo for the cache and bringing us to this location.

A DNF with Team Crackers and The Drovers. The area has certainly been gone over with machinery but after a good search we were unable to locate the cache.
We were out caching the area with Alansee and The Drovers picking up caches in the area.
Unfortunately this was not to be one of them. Even with this many eyes looking we failed to locate the cache or any sign of it.
We will have to return another day.

A new hidey-hole after all the gorse has been removed and destroyed the last cache
Cache has been replaced after the last one was destroyed in the removal of the gorse. Disappointing that the cache was ruined, very happy the gorse is gone. At the time of writing this there is a significant amount of rubbish exposed if coming from the ring road, as well as deep ruts that would be tricky for a 2wd.
Been advised the area has been cleared and the cache has been removed. Will monitor and replace when the work has been completed. My thanks to dehands for letting me know.
Found with muggle husband who is showing some interest in finding caches whilst we are staying at the cp. tftc
Pretty warm day today so I thought no mud around , but halfway in the 2WD was not going to get through so I backed up to turn around and got stuck in a rut.
Woops! 10 mins of rocking back and forth and sliding it about and I got facing the way out.
So I parked and walked in
nice easy find and checked out the bridge and water hole and walked back to ute.

Find # 2183 @ 1706 H
Found with Tyred n Cranky
Well we came in from the east side, apart form the all the prickle bushes in the area we made it safely UNDER the rail bridge on to GZ. On the other side we were glad that we decided to walk in as the road on the west did not look like the best road for a 2wd Magna.

This one has been on my radar for quite a while and now being the only one left to do in the Creswick area it was high time to give it a shot. After inspecting one access point we decided to drive in the overgrown track and got within a few meters of gz.
Find No. 885. Found at 5.06pm with FUF009
After attending the Let's Party event in Creswick it was time to do some caching before heading home.
Parked the car and off we walked. We were confronted by some good challenging terrain, come to think of it - it would be a challenge if it was raining, but undeterred we went under the railway bridge onward and upward soon with cache in hand.
Well worth the effort - a creative hide and to add to our adventure we even had a train pass over.

We had no idea how best to approach this cache but ended up taking the very bumpy rutted ride in to GZ. Unfortunately the gorse bushes are very out of control in this area so we recommend doing it by foot.
So sad to see so much rubbish in the area when the tip is just over the fence. Maybe this should be the next CITO site!
We searched amongst the shrubbery until the unlikely cache was spotted. Nice camo.
Thanks Wakkatoo for the adventure.

Quick check today whilst out on a walk. Was a bit exposed but now back as it should be. There has been some work done recently improving the road and removing the gorse so this is now easily 2wd accessible from Victoria st as long as it is dry.
found it hard to find track.
certainly need 4x4 unless willing to walk.
nifty idea for the hiding spot!

Our for a spot of adventuring this afternoon in our new 4WD. Sulkybear (driver) and our two geokids (aged 3 & 5) were along for the ride. I had driven past here in 2WD and no way was I gonna attempt it. Boy was I right! Do not use a 2WD. Walk in instead. Great test for the new car. Nice easy find by hubby. We then went to water for a looksie. Thanks for the cache
That was a bumpy ride and plenty of puddles, but we made it all the way to gz. Love the cache well done. I have awarded a favourite point.
Found by Mary & David at 1350. Duly refreshed after lunch from the local bakery, we made our way to the new GZ. We had been unsuccessful at the previous spot just over a year ago, so were keen to redress our DNF. The track in was just as we remembered, with lots of muddy potholes to trap the unwary. Made it to GZ unscathed, where we happily found the cache almost immediately. Our thanks to Wakkatoo.
Found with Achoemma on a quick trip around Ballarat to pick up a few unfound caches, found this one after the we to GZ and some closer inspection of the nearby bridge

Thanks for the cache. Cool cache. Found after a bit of a walk, found a caterpillar on the way. Very good camo. I thought it was very clever.
After driving along various tracks trying to get to GZ, I finally walked the last 200 m and was able to find the well constructed cache . Have not been in this area before and found it was very interesting . TFTH
Well, I did a lot of driving in circles in Creswick this morning! I did follow the tip is approaching from Ring Road but, being a bit lazy, thought if I came at it from another angle I could probably drive closer as the track in from here was narrow due to growth. Anyway, in the end (after a bit of a tour), I parked not far from the transfer station and walked in. It was a lovely spot. Saw a kangaroo, some very pretty birds and love the railway bridge. The cache camo is great and the co-ords spot on. Thanks Wakkatoo.

There were also some instances of geocacher's not reading the description correctly and choosing the dangerous option of crossing the railway bridge. As a result, this cache has been moved and is now an easy park and grab.

Hi there Wakkatoo,
Sorry to do this to you for your first cache placement but in reading the logs for this cache it would seem you omitted to indicate to the Reviewer how close your cache is to the railway line.
You might recall the following information that was provided to you:
It's better to give me too much information than not enough. It's annoying for all concerned; you, me, and the local geocachers, if I have to retract your listing because of something that I hadn't known about your cache at the time of publishing.
No caches are able to be placed within a rail corridor. Please be aware that the law says that the rail corridor extends 15m either side of the line if it is unfenced. There are also minimum distances that we need to keep from railway lines that are fenced. Please see/review the guidelines http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx?expand=1#restrictedareas
You have the option to move the cache to an adjacent area that fits within the guidelines or remove the cache altogether and Archive it.
I've place this cache on my watch list, so I will quickly see your "Note to Reviewer" response.

Bunjil

Found this cache but how it got approved is beyond me. I don't believe it is a safe distance from the active train line and would not recommend anyone bring a child to find this cache. Sorry to be a pain but that's how I feel.
On a day out caching with LumpyJRB this is a nice old bridge and the cache was not too hard to find. TFTC.
