Out this afternoon for a drive from Buninyong to Apollo Bay with the MX-5 Club... with Red Rock selected as our afternoon stop. As I always do when I get the chance on such days, I check the GPS for any nearby caches. Normally nothing comes up... but today there this cache was... a mere 20 metres away. I wandered over to make a surprising easy find... a cache left like this in Melbourne wouldn't last a week before disappearing!

Thanks **H_3** for keeping **krankitkiwi's** cache alive.

It had been a while since I had been out west and seeming there was an event on today it surely was a great excuse to wander out this way to find some caches. Tagging along with Stemicmitsar for the day we had planned to clear out the area of multi's and other little bits and bobs.

Avoiding the rains fairly efficiently between caches and meeting many other friendly faces on the road after the event, the day was a success with no real issues.
Thanks for the caches and the adventure.

*Found on the 2 Jan 2021 @ 1:19 pm.*
*Cache find # 11273.*

As there was an event happening in Beeac today, it was a good excuse to head out this way to find a few caches as well as attending the event of course.
My caching companion for the day was buhfuhguh and our plan was to target a few multi caches and letterboxes around the area.
Now that the event was well and truly over we headed for the Red Rock reserve area to see what we could find and we found that this was a very interesting area and well worth the visit.
As for the cache, we were able to make a quick find and continue on our way up the hill.

*Cache count for the day so far;*
7 Multi Caches
1 Letterbox Cache
1 Event Cache
10 Lab Caches
1 Puzzle Cache
6 Traditional Caches

**Thanks to H_3 for placing this cache.**

We managed to grab this one between showers. Thanks for the cache.

02-Jan-21
After enjoying exploring Beeac this morning, our small group (us, micaparamedic, Geoturtle37 and Papi4506) started heading towards Alvie and Red Rock. We pulled up here just as a family were getting in their car to drive away. In the light drizzle we quickly found the cache and had just put it back when several cars arrived. Talk about a lucky break. TFTC krankitkiwi.

#3927 FLAMINGO removed as it was taking up too much space in the cache and making it very difficult to return the logbook. No muggles to contend with here today making it a quick and stress free find. This place rocks! TFTC.

We attempted to look for this cache as we went towards the lookout but we had to leave it until the way down because muggles were right next to GZ. On the second occasion they had left and we were able to search without any hassles. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks krankitiwi for the cache.

12-Nov-18
Found with FUF009.

A 3 day weekend for both of us meant testing the new swags and caching in areas we both had loads of choice from.

Meeting at Panmure and sussing out where to camp was the 1st priority (Lake Ellingamite), then merged into 1 car and hit the trails.

We changed camping location to near Colac for the 2nd night, less bugs more wind.

We had a wonderful weekend with many interesting finds and locations. Thanks to all the cache owners.

Find # 7316

Found with sharkiefan on a camping and caching long weekend in the South west area of Victoria.
We visited from Mortlake to Port Fairy to Colac to Timboon and everything in between, and finishing up in Ballarat on Monday evening for the Giff event.

Leaving Colac n going the long way North we decided to grab this little pocket of caches.

Hmm looks like this could be a good camp site, it has it all.

Great spot but it's windy today. Love the nearby open fire building. Soon found this cache and now on to the lookout. Thanks.

30-Jul-18
This our last find for the day as the light was fast fading and we had a long drive home. We had just completed "Ready to Rock (Vulcan 1)" and "Coragulac House" caches on top of Red Rock and as the weather was a tad on the cool side, Mrs B was keen to visit the nearby establishment since there weren't any lemon trees nearby. Fortunately the cache was an easy find so we tackled it before Mrs B went off yonder while I explored the rest of the playground facilities. (What a weird little building with the fire place in it. Why?)

15-Apr-18
It was a cold and windy day out here so we were hoping that we could have a quick and easy cache to find whilst in the area after a nearby DNF. Sure enough after a quick search we had this one in hand and were able to sign log and retreat back to the car. Thanks for placing this one here krankitkiwi.

After staying in Colac last night to attend the Sims_family event at Melba Gully and see the fantastic Glow Worms, we thought we would explore the area further today before returning to Melbourne.

We decided we would try to do a few earthcaches in both Camperdown and Colac, and a few trads here and there.

Well not sure that the playground was rocking, but certainly the downpipe on the toilet block was blowing in the wind.

No chance the kids could use the playground today - as just as we arrived their was a short torrential burst of rain!

Soon as it had cleared the cache was quickly retrieved and signed.

I have wanted to do a specific cache in the area for some time to complete my second loop. Times and weather conspired against me, so I ended up completing the loop with a different cache. However, I still wanted to do the cache, and today was the day. So I teamed up with Maccamob and Alansee.

After doing that cache, Area 51, we headed down this way. Found it without any trouble. Nice spot for a cache. Thanks for the cache, krankitkiwi.
