Found - Mrs McMike2012 & I live full-time in our caravan travelling around NZ, visiting the places we want to visit & doing the things we want to do and fitting in a bit of Geocaching here & there we are staying at Twizel & enjoying the nice weather & the fantastic scenery we decided we would go for a bit of a drive to investigate some potential DoC Camping sites & Freedom Camping areas we have previously driven passed here, but with the caravan on the back, it was no place to stop, but not this time, with no caravan on the back, it was an ideal time to stop the Lookout Area was busy with lots of Tourists but I was determined to find this Traditional Cache which turned out to be, not up the hill, but down the hill a bit & basically in plain sight of the car-park & not out-of-sight at all, hate the positioning of these sorts of caches so it was, more-or-less, a quick and easy find, logbook signed & cache was returned as found were also pleased to add another 'smiley face' to the tally TFTC ... TN:LN:LS this was #6,545 for us!
I looked absolutely everywhere, if someone finds it please let me know for my own peace of mind.
NZ_B and I are on a road trip to the Geo Toroa Mega and back. I'm also aiming for a multi every day, so it is now titled the "Mega Multi Road Trip." Today is Day 12 from Queenstown to Lake Tekapo. A stunning view from here. Loved visiting, thank you. It's nice to have a trip where, alongside targeted caches, we also take time to find one's on a whim or ones that take a bit longer. We have all day and the caches are calling...
Quick find while staying at the Freedom camping. A nice clear view of Mt .Cook. TFTC

Day 8: In the MacKenzie High Country Todays highlights were, of course, the star attractions of the region, Aoraki/Mount Cook and the Lakes of the region. We attempted the two tracks in the Aoraki/Mount Cook area - the Hooker Track and the Tasman Lake one in fine but very blustery conditions at times. Then, it was off to Lake Tekapo for the obligatory tourist shots before heading back to Twizel for the evening. Thanks for all the caches in the region, they made the hikes today all the more exciting! (End of the cut and paste bit)Heres the specific log for this cache:A quick stop here, where I got overexcited and scaled the small hillock on site before realising I needed to head down again to get to the GZ, where a quick find was had. Oh well, sometimes you just need that little bit of extra exercise. TFTC!

One of several caches we located as we meandered our way from Tekapo to Twizel today. We stopped here to pick up the two hides in the vicinity. A good walk between the two, and both were quick finds. Very scenic spot with a great view of NZ’s highest mountain at the head of the lake! #6024. TFTC.
