Logs
A bit of searching around to find this one here, but cache was found signed and rehiddenCourtneyrose_ and I headed fora weekend away to Kangaroo Island, we came to check out the sights plus to compete in the Marathon. A great weekend away with a few caches found along the way. Today we drive around with friends Morgothegeo to find some caches as well. Thanks for the cache
Took a bit of scratching around to find itOn Kangaroo Island for a few days mainly for parkrun and sightseeing. Of course we are caching in our group of gridge98, CourtneyRose and Sandyofthesea. The Scarlet Manuka, I found Happy Easter 2013 today. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
The cache was damaged (animal gnawing?) and leaking moisture with soggy paper. So I have replaced the cache ( mint tin with duct tape) dried paper replaced and added a new paper for logs.
Fun little geocache on the road trip back from remarkable rocks. GPS didnt seem to want to find the tree, but wandered around and found it! TFTC!
Whrend unseres Aufenthaltes in Sdaustralien sind wir auch hier vorbeigekommen und haben unseren Namen ins Logbuch geschrieben. Danke frs Auslegen und Pflegen der Dose
Tftc. Found it. Logs must have dried out as I was able to sign on one of the sheets.
We have arrived on Kangaroo Island for a 5 day break. We first had this trip planned several years back but that year KI had an extreme fire situation happen and we were offered a refund on our trip which we took. We have waited this long so that the island could regrow and show herself at her best. We have been using geocaching to guide us around and two days into our break we can certainly attest to her beauty. The caching has been interesting and we have many earth caches to write up and send to COs. All the caches we have found so far are in good condition. We did replace one log sheet. Up until today we have commented between ourselves about the fantastic condition of the roads we are driving on, today we managed to find roads that nearly shook our theeth from our heads. SL TFTC
This was a nice quick find for Geoturtle37 and myself as we are making a speed sampling trip of Kangaroo Island. Unfortunately, we can't stay any longer this time due to the long weekend but we will certainly be back. Thanks for bringing us here with this cache.
Day 7 of my escape to Adelaide with Smittengranny and collecting a few targeted caches and LGAs. Enjoying a morning in Kingscote, KI. Tftc
Replaced cracked container with same type but different colour.Day 7 of my trip to SA with barb2e. Originally, we were only going to Adelaide, but barb2e had the brilliant idea of adding KI to the trip, so here we are. This is one of the caches we found today. Thanks to all COs for placing and maintaining these caches, which add to our enjoyment of the game and your island. SL
Time for a short break as we change camp site. Cache was sitting out in plain sight so returned it to a slightly less obvious spot being mindful of description!! Container is cracked so put it out of rain, sadly didn't have a spare with me
Not sure if cache should be sitting where it was, also not waterproof as sides are cracked. Thanks The Scarlet Manuka for bringing me here and contributing to this great game for others to enjoy. Happy trails, Deanside
Gps signal was all over thr place. I walked around for quite a while before I spotted it. I'm not sure the cache is in its original location or container. The current container is severely cracked and is out in the open. Some owner maintenance is required
Found somewhat dismantled with inner container cracked. Signed log and reassembled. Hopefully hidden in more protected fashion. Thanks
Owl is on Kangaroo Island with Ostrich, Magpie and Bowerbird to celebrate the 80 year friendship of Magpie and Bowerbird. The one advantage for Owl is that Bowerbird is the Magnificent Muggle and absolutely insists on Owl caching. Of course, Owl is happy to oblige. Love a cache that is this easy to spot. And an appropriate cammo.
Thanks for the cache

Another day, another drive along South Coast Road on KI. This was any easy enough find, just watch out for the ants at the parking spot over the road!
Found on our way to Flinders Chase. It took a rather embarrassingly long time to find given the container LOL. Cache blindness is real folks. All is well with the cache.
We were on our return trip back to Emu Bay, and stopped here for this one. The kiddies were getting off the school bus over the way, and I ducked into the trees to find the ‘bright’ hide. Nice work on container in a container, cache in good condition. Thanks for the hide Scarlet Manuka. Find #6324
TFTC. Found log canister on ground and happened across the 2 halves of the outter camo discarded. Signed log reassembled and is close to GZ. A real true BLUE egg hunt. Left baby lid
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.
(HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

I am visiting KI to maintain a cache that ended up being replaced by Liz and Bruce yesterday. But as the travel and accommodation was already was booked here we are with some spare time to catch up on unfound caches on the island and to show my international nephew some of the attractions and sights. He's not into geocaching but is loving the island.

Thanks for arranging and hiding. Good to be having a look around the area. Caching with Wollaston and SeasonedBird. We placed a film container within the other container. Log is quite OK.
On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird, Liz & Bruce. Another great day for caching. TFTC The Scarlet Manuka

Just finished the KI wilderness trail. 5 days of bliss. Tftc. P S needs maintenance.
Day 3 of a 6 night break on the island. The log has seen better days so maybe the owner needs to visit the hide to renew the log and maybe the container. Thank you for the placement of the Happy Easter 2013 cache The Scarlet Manuka find number 8456 on 11 September 2021 at 2:20 pm
Well we are a bit late to be even wishing you a Merry Christmas in 2013 so we will get in early for 2021 and wish you a Merry Christmas early. We cant even remember what we were doing in Easter 2013, probably working, we seemed to do too much of that for too many years.
We didnt even cache at Easter 2013 we joined a couple of months later and just randomly cache through an area but always chase a FTF.
This area is amazing, its pouring with rain so the pools of water are right through the paddocks and coming out up through the pools are the dead, burnt trees. Nature is a funny old thing.
Thanks The Scarlet Manuka for the cache, found, signed and replaced. TNLN

Found by The Boofs while out on holiday TFTC . This cache was strewn about the gz. Put new log sheet in and replaced back.
Mr and Mrs Parrot took a trip overseas to Kangroo island for the week.
We had a lovely time finding caches and interacting with the people selling produce and food to the public.
It fabulous to see the green starting to come baack into the fire ravaged areas. We had hired a house in Kingscote and ventured out each day in a different direction to see the sights and what the island had t off.
We also picked up 60 odd caches along the way.
My thanks for the quick responses to the Geocaches and the virtual cache which we sorted out before logging.
It was good to be able to complete Wonders of the world and become an Ultimate Explorer during my stay.
A quick find on the way back to the Holiday home

Thanks for spot description as reception hard to get. Bits of geo everywhere so paper wet but put back together
Quick find and very appropriate for Easter coming in a couple of days. The cache was a little damp but ok. Happy Easter to you and your family The Scarlet Manuka. TFTC
Found by Olga at 12:04.
The cache had been opened and spread over a couple of metres. I'd say an animal has been at it since Leighside Legend's find a few days earlier. We put it back together and placed it close to GZ.

I found this cache in pieces scattered around on the ground. I put it all back together again, hopefully it stays that way.

Out and about caching today and this cache was one to find. Parked the car and walked towards GZ. Phone GPS was all over the place, so it took a little bit longer to find, then it should have. Spotted it. Log was soaking wet and unable to be written on. Replaced with a new log sheet. TFTC The Scarlet Manuka
On Kangaroo Island for several days and finding caches as we head to various interesting places on the island. Thanks to the COs for placing these caches and enhancing our visit to the area.
Thank you, found it. Just followed the navigation arrow. Was a bit soggy, did not write on paper,
Found on a five day break on and around the wonderful Kangaroo Island.
Thanks for the cache!

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children. Where ever possible, we will maintain your cache as we travel.
We are here visiting, house and farm sitting for three months. There are only 89 caches on the island. Hope we get smilie faces on all of them.
Now we are on the farm for the next four weeks, and have to chase caches for the 321GO Souvenir
Out and about today with our good friends SnappyTomCats, who are visiting us for a few days.
Easy find just what we expected. Merry Christmas for a Happy Easter. Thanks The Scarlet Manuka

Having some R&R in Kangaroo Island, staying with Dunmowin during the Christmas New Year week. Today we headed out to do some sightseeing and of course grab a few caches. A quick find today! TFTC
On the way back to the hotel waves and Wildlife in Stockes Bay. Greatings from Switzerland
Found with Bailes01 while on our week long trip. This one took longer than it should have, but a good find nonetheless. I'd be careful of snakes in Summer as it I'd perfect environment for them. TFTC, #454

After a first night in the camper, we make a nice heritage walk, then we already drive a bit towards the ferry, we look for a number of caches along the way, so the ride is not that long, and also nice that we could find all the caches .
Thanks for the cache and greetings from the Netherlands

Quickly located ….. spotted the outer container from some distance!!! Thanks for the hide!!
gatta nera and Hai Happen married! and what comes after a marriage? ok, her name is still gatta nera and not yet gatta Happen, but would be quit interesting
so, next is honeymoon
so, the decision was made, it should go to Australia, with a 12 hour stop over in Singapore to check out the bay area.
Our last full day on KI started this morning with putting back all our stuff from the bungalow into our car. First location was the Hanson Bay, continued to Vivionne Bay and Seal Bay.
After the Seal Bay (we saw some sea lions, but there have been way more at Admirals Arch, but I think a different type for sea lions ), we took our way back to a little town between Kingscote and Penneshaw for our last night on KI - tomorrow morning we will have to catch the ferry back to the mainland.
ah, and at our last day, we, or better gatta nera had the first time contact with a snake while looking for a cache, the question is only, who was more surprised and shocked, gatta nera or the snake? nobody will know, as the snake was gone within seconds and Hai Happen heard only, "oh, I think I've scared a snake, but she went below the bush"

Hai Happen
On our way from Vivionne Bay to Seal Bay, Hai Happen and I came past this point, so we decided to search for the cache. As the GPS was not leading us straight to the cache, we were searching some spots we thought might be suitable, and at some point I also scared a sanke (which scard me on the other hand when I saw it winding away...). Fortunately, we could locate the cache in different spot than the bush the snake went hiding underneath.
Thank you for the cache!
