We found what was left of this cache today after attending a nearby CITO. TFTC gum-nuts!
This cache requires maintenance urgently, we found it out in the open and in a million pieces, we put all the pieces back where we thought it’s hidey hole would be but it is not going to last
Out and about early in the morning to conquer the Rockingham Regional Park caches, 6 hours, 47 caches, a few encounters with wildlife, a great day in all, Thanks to the CO’s for placing these caches for us to find TFTC
After a nice long walk on this beautiful winter's Sunday my wife and I arrived at this location. The smashed container was soon spotted and I have replaced it with a small sistema which is located about 10m from GZ. It is near the top of the hill under a flat rock as that is where the old container was located.
Thanks for the cache gum-nuts. Found at 10:58:00 AM it was cache number 3004 for me and was number 2 in my run of 3 finds and 0 DNFs for today's geocaching effort.
Cheers
The lid was MIA and the contents gone...it was also out in the flat land where it would get blown away of water damaged.
We moved it up higher and covered it with a flat rock (open side down). Replaced the log book and put in a new zip lock bag.
If the next team brings a replacement container it should be good for winter. Sorry I did not have one with me today.

Found about 5m from coordinates. Water damaged but dry log, cache needs a bit of attention due to resident spiders nest - sorry I hate spiders
Found with happiad. Big spiderweb and cockroaches living in it so didn't sign. Will need to fix up
TFTC! Cravo10 and I met up on our weekend off for a HUGE caching afternoon in the Rockingham and Port Kennedy areas to find a huge quantity of caches to help him with his major caching goal for the year which we've slipped a bit behind in, nothing that a few HUGE days can't fix anyway.
We started off in Port Kennedy completing a small loop of the PKSP series in the scientific park, including the Earth Cache and a d5t4 cache!! All found relatively easy except for the d5t4 cache which was left for out non designated tree climber to do (me)!!! Got there in the end!!
We then got the Geo bikes out and completed the walyungup track Jinta29 series and a few others on that section as well, leaving with a DNF On the old comdek and crew cache which I hope can be re Instated by a precious finder. Saw a few snakes here, please be careful everyone.
We then completed some archived caches in the area, and the kids hides caches around the walyungup section.
Finally got around to grabbing the LGA 60 cache which we've long since qualified for, after nabbing 30 and 90 on the FTF night.
We finished the day with a few of maccasreps caches around the Rockingham beach area, the hype about them was quite high, and they exceeded expectations, with a large number of fav points given out, much like the duck caches in applecross.
Finished the day with a nice walk around Forrestdale Lake collecting the legendary team red roo 2004 cache forrestdale trail, and some others too.
Thanks to the local COs for a great day out. Hope to be back this way soon with the vitsol series on the radar!!

We went to see if we could find the traditional and mystery caches around Lake Walyungup today and found this one. Thanks for placing a cache in such a nice place.
Found “Slice of heaven” at 5.42pm (almost dark). No trackables to trade TNLN SL TFTH gum-nuts.
My phone didn't like these co-ords but we found it anyway by thinking like a cacher TFTF
It has been a while since I found a few caches around the local area, and I was feeling a little energetic, so decided to grab the pushbike and head out to the lakes.
After a decent ride, I was knackered, and opted for the shortcut through the scrub from the Jinta29 final.
Beautiful spot here, pity the weather today is so dreary.
TFTC gum-nuts.

Out to add some smiley faces in the salt lake area today. Tracked this down easily after finishing the nearby series, SL TFTH and bringing us to this nice spot
Out to do the caches on the salt flats today, being winter it was the perfect opportunity. An interesting signing of this one before I added mine - someone had found this cache and wrote 'our first cache ever' and signed it with Steve and two other names I can't recall now. We checked the logs while standing there thinking they must have signed up to caching after finding this cache, but no logs had been done since Fussbit (my caching buddy) had last found this cache. I was impressed that whoever these people were that found it did the right thing and put everything back in place perfectly. I hope they ended up signing up and are logging caches now. A big black spider was gaurding this cache, so please be careful when retrieving it. TFTC gum-nuts it was a good one:)
Had a lovely walk this arvo across the salt flats, my phone was a little off but thinking about the most logical place to hide something I had the cache in hand in no time TFTC and thanks for bring me out here, would not have seen this otherwise.
Today we decided to return to this area and find the caches that weren't accessible when here last September due to it being the end of winter and there being a lot of water in the lake and the track which we had walked down to get here was flooded.
This was our 3rd find for our morning walk after first locating Whispering Tree and Tom's Hide. It was a good place to sit down for 5 minutes as it was quite warm walking the long way round to get here.

Great walk to find this cache. Lived nearby for years and would never have got here without your inspiration. Thanks
Great 1.5km walk from Safety Bay Road. Enjoyed hunting for it. Fairly easy to find. TFTC.
I have planned a little walk around Lake Walyungup, on foot because we are taking the geodog. We waited until 3.30 as it had cooled down a bit. Came to this one after Jinta 29s finale. There is a nice cool breeze. We waited until the land sail racers had passed us then made a dash for the coordinates before they came by on their next circuit, awesome to watch. I sat and watched the majestic Black Swans on the dwindling lake. Obviously a good time of year to visit, although we came fully prepared there was no chance of us getting wet, or even muddy. Took a T.B. left some toys for the kids. TFTC
This one was about 8m off when we found it. We had to search around a bit. Good fun. Thanks
After completing the jinta 29 series we did the long walk back to the carpark via the lakes and found this slice of heaven on the way. The model airplane people were out today and I'm sure they were aiming at us, and we did keep our distance from them too. Anyway, after a short search to cache was located. SL TSLS TFTC gum-nuts.
Heading back to the car park from doing Jinta's series and thought we would grab this one. TFTC
Another day taken care of on my caching calendar
After spending the night in Rockingham so we could attend the 43rd Western Nationals Drag Racing championships it was time to grab a couple of caches before heading home
We missed doing this one last month as the World Blokart Championships were on and too many people around
Apparently todays races were moved from Saturday due to better wind today so my luck was in
The gate was unlocked so we managed to drive within metres of the cache as I didn't feel like the walk from the carpark (I don't think my knees would have managed)
SL and left with only a few people over at the clubrooms. Seems we timed it right all round
TFTC and now I have Lake Walyungup area in smileys

After doing the series close by we went over the salt lake to get this one and then headed back to the carpark on the way getting the caches which i got yesterday so Corjam11 could log them too. Very nice and surreal area to log caches, TFTC

Decided to walk to this one, nice breeze helped to keep the heat at bay I did feel a bit like a character out of a dodgy nuclear holocaust film walking out there - so desolate... Cache found quickly enough and just had to fight off the Swans who waned to eat the Travel 'bugs'

This is the third time I've cached around this lake and somehow missed this one on previous visits ... so , on a hot Sunday afternoon, I decided to make the trek out here to grab this smiley. The gate was unlocked due to a land yacht event, but I decided to walk in anyway, and ended up taking the long way around the land yacht course, so approached the cache from the south. Quick find on arrival at GZ. Signed the log and dropped off a couple of TBs. Thanks for the hide gum-nuts. I enjoyed the walk.
After completing the Walyungup Track series we headed to this gz on a very hot afternoon. We were able to make this a drive-by parking within a mt of gz. Thanks gum-nuts.
[:(!] After church we had nothing on our agenda so we decided to do an afternoon of caching and this was one of them, parked the geocar as close as possible to GC4HMNZ (TFTC Jinta29) and rode the geobike and/or walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.

Find #10 on a caching day with 'Everlasting'!
After completing the 'Walyungup Series', we made the loop round back to the parking area, travelling via this cache.
The route here from 'Walyungup 'jinta29' Final' involved trying to circumnavigate a flooded section of the track, but we managed OK by walking through some bushes beside the track!
'Everlasting' had gone on ahead while I was taking photos of this almost 'lunar' landscape, so made the find before I even arrived!
Glad to have made the journey into the heart of this dry lake on such a nice day.

Wow beautiful and pretty long way but good fun... I am sure Geology Boy will more add comment... We make it today... Signed the log at
Headed out with a HUGE group of cachers today to do the Walyungup Track Series which was organised on the Geocaching WA FB page!! It started with a post "Does anyone want to do the Walyungup Track series this weekend? Its near the Warnbro Train station." and I think we ended up with 10 Teams there!! Was a fun afternoon, mostly easy finds, lots of chatting and getting to know new people!!! A bit of bush bashing and then a long walk along the salt lakes. Thankyou to everyone who was there -
Luna Maya, Me&B, MonF, Ooh Yeah, Skippy 46, CeeKay 2003, Kyzabra, Deb Thiele and Muggle Matty (hope I haven't forgotten anyone) It was lovely meeting you all and I hope we can organise a get together again - but not next weekend!! lol need time to rest!!
After bush bashing from the Final cache in the Series, we finally got to the salt lake after walking over some very mushy ground!! was fun and funny!! lol Then a looong walk back to the cars, so was great to be able to grab another couple caches.
TFTC gum-nuts ... Hmmmm was that you kite buggy-ing today??? Looks fun!!

Seems there were a few of us to visit here today! Thanks for the cache, a good walk - have never been out here despite driving past many many times (have lived in this area for over 10 years!).
TFTC gum-nuts. It' been a while since we've had a good walk on this side of Safety Bay Rd. so for there to be a cache in here is an added incentive. Beautiful, fine, cooler winters day. Great for walking and cache hunting. Found GZ without any dramas but my GPS had me standing quite a way from what would have been a more obvious hiding spot. Sure enough that's where it turned out to be. Signed log, took frog TB to move on.

Finished at work, and on the way home I was wondering if the weather would hold to travel south to grab some recent releases, decided against that and instead parked here and decide to have a nice afternoon walk to grab this distant cache.
500 metres from the car park, some muggles were playing with their dogs, but once past them, I got a clear path to the cache. A great afternoon for a walk, and a relatively quick find at the desired location.
Really enjoyed this , and a favourite point for the path to the middle of this lake, and a reason to meet my cardio requirements for this week

A nice day together with an RDO got me in the mood to dust off my trusty yellow mountain bike and head for the cycle path. I thought it would also be a good time to find a few caches in quick succession. TFTC. Even though I drive past this lake daily, I did not realise how large it actually was. Not too sandy for bicycles either!!
The better half and I decided to go out for a day of caching around Rockingham.
This cache was a quick find once at GZ and was the last we planned for today.
(Turned out it would have had to be the last one even if we hadn't planned it to be as my knee was objecting all the way back to the car from the cache.)
We did see one model aircraft flying near GZ.
Dropped in a TB
Thanks gum-nuts for the cache.

With the 2500 find milestone within reach, I headed out today to grab these few that I have been leaving until now. Luckily for me, the gate was open today. So I drove to within about 450m of the cache, then hoofed it around the outer perimeter of the landsailers course to the cache, so still had a fair walk to gz and back again. Thanks for bringing out to this one gum-nuts
After What The, a nice leisurely 3km stroll seems like child's play
A nice walk out to the cache. Saw some monster sized model planes on the way.
Left the rescued TB from What The here to continue its journey.

What a trek.. It was good to have company for the walk though, with cabbie1 and Kyzabra.. TFTC
Thought we would do the right thing for our cardiovascular fitness and hiked it. No wind so no land-sailors but plenty of planes overhead. A good one on a MTB I think but we enjoyed the walk. TFTC gum-nuts.
Wow a bit of a trek to the cache, nice to finally check out the salt lake that I have driven past for years,
Nice walk in the cool breeze thank god hahahaha TFTC now for the long walk back bahaha
