I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi TheWanglersThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
Found it! Blue systema container now. Walking our greyhound and accidentally ran into two more
With a couple of DNFs I wasn't sure this would be a find, but luckily I was with Busy paws who already had found this one, a little digging around turned up a cache. TFTC
Having never been in this area I was surprised by the size of the settlement and it has been interesting to read the history of the railway and the area.
Thanks

Turning the blue into a yellow happy face. Not sure how I missed it before. TFTC
Was about to give up on this one with the masses of leaves around but gave it one more crack and bingo! The clue was spot on thanks. TFTC
We're staying at the Balmoral Reserve and taking the opportunity to look for caches so easily overlooked when State Highway driving. I left this one in the cap[able hands of Holymu while I stayed in the stragetically parked car. Thank you TheWanglers
We decided it was time to spend some time at Balmoral Reserve Domain and hunt the caches in the wider area.
This was our last find for this area for now before heading round the corner to the bakery for some tasty lunch.
Thank you Hello Mrs.

Thanks for the geocache. This log is generic in the field but plan on writing up full log when caching trip is over and I am in front of a computer.

Down from Northland for a one week trip to Christchurch to pick up some solved puzzles, challenges, unusual cache types, Jasmer grid fillers, as well as a few others in passing.
A nice quick find here in the most likely spot. TFTC

It was time to locate a few of the PWGT caches out North Canterbury way and any others that might get in the way.
This was one of the others. No ghost trains today.
Cheers for the cache.

This one was quickly found after a string of DNFs on the track to the [Māori Rock Art](https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC82N5Q). TFTC!
Well, we had to run away from a cow at the previous cache, so thought we would give this a go. Had a good hunt, read over previous logs but no joy. The heat was also starting to get to us so we retired to the cafe to refresh. Will try again another visit.
Found on my geocaching road trip on the way to Canterbury Faire. Had to time it with passing cars, but managed to get it without anyone seeing
Sneaky little hide, found on our way to Hawarden today, with Campmotherandken Had a yummy Icecream in Waikari TFTC
Visiting the South Island as the grown up kids are on Uni holiday. Heading up to Nelson today and collecting some caches en route.
Love it when you stop for a toilet break and end up spending 2 hours in the village finding 7 caches. A lovely small park and a great walkway to the Maori carving. No problems here with the clear hint. Thanks

KrystalKath, Tama and I are visiting the Hurunui for the weekend. After dinner last night at the Hurunui historic pub, I've left KK at our accommodation and Tama the geohound and I are off exploring!
This was the first of five we found today. Uplifted the TB but otherwise TNLNSL. TFTC

A planned geocaching trip with specific targets in mind.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 3 Picton to Waikari 36 caches found including 1 of the targets. I had passed this one twice during the day only to have workmen across the road. Back in the evening and it was muggle free. Thank you for the placement.

On our way home from Lake Mason after camping a few days. Had loaded some cache for on the way home from Lake Taylor with no time restraints so enjoyed stopping and looking around for a change. Happy to get a smiley from this clever cache. Thanks Hello Mrs
For so many years I only ripped through Waikari never stopping and certainly not venturing this far off the main road. So today I discovered that Waikari is good looking photogenic little town and well worth the visit. A quick find, sign, return and off I go. Thanks Hello Mrs.
On our way back to the east coast we are looking for some caches. Some could be find good some take a little bit longer. But we could get some more smiles on the map. Thanks to all owners.

#6233. I came up to Waikari to do the nearby old cache up the hill but decided to pick up a few local caches while in the area. Headed down the road to this one. Good to see the public walkways in this area. The cache was soon located thanks to the helpful hint. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks TheWanglers for hiding it here.
Quick easy find while on our way back from Hanmer to replace a log book in one of our caches. TFTC
Day 2 of my Canterbury Weekend. Nice weather quiet roads and lots of caches to find. What more could you want. TFTC
Found this one exactly as per the hint and as we head down another convoluted loop to catch all the available caches. T F T C The Wanglers, I suspect you will be into my top 10 cache hiders and replacing another North Islander, just skindo left there now!
A real quick roadtrip weekend 'down the line' to Chch and surrounds for us this weekend. mrs capperz is on her own 2 week roadie, so it's just nightowl19 and I for the long haul, 800kms, puzzles and trads, a couple of badge upgrades on Statto project-gc, and a few take-away establishments visited to maintain the caching machine. A good weekend which as usual is over too soon, but still a good couple of days away. I had a meal to go to on Friday night so was not on the road until the relatively late time of 0800 on Saturday morning, and back home again just 36 short hours later on Sunday evening. Treble figure haul over those 2 days and plenty of back road sights and experiences of parts of Canterbury not travelled before. Managed a couple of earth caches, a load of apples (enough for cider!), some childrens names and even mustered some errant horses (on the loose from Kaimanawa?}

The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are on a 4 day exploration around Kaikoura. Our journey today takes us to Waikari and back. We are up early and move Zara to a sand pit to play with a dump truck and digger, while we run away with Toby.
We are finally at Waikari. Snagged this one but not ready for the food this cache produced. I think I will stick with my sammies. REmoved food, tagged and returned. Cheers

Ugh. Removed food from the cache. Food attracts bears. And ants. And rats. Luckily they were not a problem here, but still.
Almost time to turn and head back to Kaikoura. It is almost lunchtime. I'm not sure we will get to Kaikoura by nightfall, it is such a long, long, long way away!
It's a four-day weekend!! Taybeedragon and I headed down to Kaikoura, that destination chosen mainly because I have some unfinished business down that way. And on top of that, like everyone else, we wanted to do some rubber-necking, to check out the changes in the route south. Apparently at least two more years work before the road is declared finished. Yesterday was urban caching. Today: Rural.

Quick easy find. Have never been through here much, was quite surprised at how big this town is! Enjoy the history.
Stopped at a great little campground just down the road from here. Nice walk along the old railway line. Nice quick find.

A quick find today. No time unfortunately to check out the monuments - we were even being a bit naughty caching with the trip we had in front of us and the late start to the day. No issues, TFTC.
Today was travelling back home to Blenheim after an enjoyable extended weekend in Chch catching up with family and friends, shopping, visiting the A&P show and a bit of caching. And eating way too much....
The target today was a little loop from Waikari to Medbury, a road neither me or Jo have ventured down. Found all caches targeted, so thanks all COs (esp. TheWanglers) and sorry for this cut and paste bit.

Christchurch - Kaikoura
We had a day on the road, tracelling many country roads. The scenery was rural with many sheep & cows . The road sides looked great with all the blossoms.
We found a variety of caches today, even meeting 1 local cacher

Wow - crossing in more ways than one! What an amazing and poignant sight that line of commemorative crosses are right up the hill. Very special. TFTC # 10,827
Many years ago, the Waikari crossing on the main road was etched in my memory as the first time I drove over it I was going a little too fast and nearly went into orbit . - - - It's taken me many years to discover that there was another crossing along here. The memorials on the hill opposite are very sobering. TFTC .
Interesting spot - with the Memorials - and there are now the white crosses for fallen Soldiers across the road.
on our holiday trip through new zealand we are picking op some caches.
this is one of them. thanks a lot for making us enjoy our hobby, even far away.

At the moment Pfote and me are on a work and travel backpacking trip through the world. After more than two years in Australia we took the chance to be so close to New Zealand, which is the farthest place on earth from our home. So we hopped over and will travel at least most of the south island in the upcoming months.
After arrival my GPS stared acting totally weird but thanks to the hint and satellite map we were able to score a quick find.
TFTC and greetings from Germany.

FIND 100 - Hasn't taken as long as we thought it would. So happy for our 100 to be in the region my Mother and her family grew up in. Thanks for the find
TFTC. Aforementioned ladies emergency item still there, but if it's a real emergency head up the road...
Found with odgersaj on a beautiful weekend away when I didn't understand the app/have a prem account - now I do though! Signed the log back then but didn't do the online bit so logging now. Thank you!!
Sunny but cool day, on our way back to Christchurch after a night in Hanmer and visit to hot pools ... a detour to see the countryside (and pick up a cache or two!)
