Had three weeks holiday so decided on a massive road trip to the most northern part of the state - the Kimberley. An area we have never explored, but had always been on the to do list. We travelled through the towns of Mount Magnet, Newman, Port Hedland, Broome, Halls Creek, Kununurra, back to Broome, Karratha, Exmouth, Denham, Geraldton and back home to Perth. It certainly was a very quick trip for the distance covered, over 8,000 kilometres in total, we saw a lot in such a short space of time, but barely scratched the surface of what’s out in these parts.

We would like to thank the individual COs for hiding the caches throughout these parts, from the towns to the highways and byways. Thank you for choosing to share these locations with us and we appreciate the effort you have gone to. Thanks for the fun.

Today our tour - which began in Perth, WA , and led us thru Western, Northern and Southern Australia back to Perth, was simply driving from Port Hedland to Broome.

On the way we came to some interesting locations. Here we searched, found and logged this Tradi-Cache.

Weather was good in the morning and it should even get better during the day.

Thanks to 'Chan 5456' for showing us this location, for the fun we had with 'De Gray River' and the smiley. The search here and today didn't take too much time, fortunately.

Greetings from Germany and we hope to see you soon in the forest, prairie, desert or outback .

The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 20. After Broome I continued South via Port Hedland to a riverside roadside stop at Yule River. Lots of Driving today.

I am very thankful for the clue as rocks have been causing lots of problems for me today. Still a few spots to choose from, but I found it so no complaints today.

Thanks.

On way home from a couple of weeks away and grabbing the odd cache here and there.
On way up some road verge roadworks were happening, thankfully all clear today ho it was later in the day.

Was thinking of camping here but I left the choice up to muggle. He chose Port Hedland so I could see Staicase to the Moon since we missed it in Broome last night due to clouds

Muggle went one way towards red rocks and I went the other. He came up trumps.

After camping at De Gray River free camp last night we were heading to Dampier caching along the aim and thought that we would drop into Port Headland to see how it has changed since our last visit.

We are glad that we didn't try to find this one in the dark last night as it would have been a lot more difficult and we would have also missed out on the great view of the Da Grey river.
We pulled up and thought "Oh Bugger" as Dak would say "I hate em in rocks"
Fortunately today luck must have been on our side and with the excellent hint we found the cache very quickly and happily added our name to the log before taking some happy snaps.

Thanks Chan 5456 for the cache and for showing us this great location.

As we were camping nearby, we went along to find this cache, of course. There was water in the De Grey River and more to come as the Oakover and Nullagine rivers were both in flood and feed into this river. The cache is fine as it is high and dry. It was quickly found and our name was added to the log. Our thanks go to Chan 5456 for placing this cache.

tftc,

Today is day 41 of an adventure that will take me around Australia with a group of trackables as we now head south towards Perth. My caches visited can be tracked by checking out the Key Ring using the code TB4P4C1. The purpose of this note is to visit the trackables travelling with us so that the owners get to learn about this site.

Today takes us to Port Headland and a distance since starting this trip of about 8500 Km's. We left Eighty Mile Beach thinking we would be at PH by lunch. Not to be and we stopped caching at the Marblr Bar turn leaving plenty for a return visit. We had 9 found and 2 DNF's. Nana nel saw this one first.

As a part of my contribution to helping make the "Easter 2017 Red Centre Experience" GC6825Z a great Event, I will be leaving a card in every cache that is large enough to take it. This card provides a number for a trackable so you can "Discover me". There is also the Web page address "red.ozmega.com.au".
Happy caching.
