After finding a nearby cache, NurseyJulie and I headed to this one. We searched high and low and around and around, without luck. Eventually, NUrseyJulie managed to locate the cache. We added our name to the log and rehid the cache before we headed home out of the rain. TFTC

12-Dec-15
It was a wet raining day and Selva Girls and I were searching and searching for this one. The table was lonely and we left it well alone. I went to one tree and SG to the other. I then joined in the hunt with her and then we both moved to another tree and then back again to the first tree.

A quick check of another log gave us a clue and started to look at those spots. With a keen eye (and rain spattered glasses) I saw something - could it be? I then put my fingers on it and the cache was in my hand! Very nice cammo! TFTC the_eths

05-Nov-15
After finding "cachers crossing", thought i would keep on going.
Aaargh...so frustrating. So many places, and being short, couldn't really look in all of them.
Is it this tree...no, gps says there. Go there, now gps says back again.
I give up. You can come out of hiding.
Maybe another day when i find myself over this way again.

20-Oct-15
This sneaky thing didn't take too long. Nice little hide, eths!

04-Oct-15
My second trip to the Table after being muggled out previously. This cache took some finding!! When back and forwards until I saw something slightly out of the ordinary.

Clever camo and deserves a fav point. TFTC the_eths

I have ridden and walked past this spot many times over the years, and would have stopped with geokids on the way to school but we had left too late for that. On the way back from school drop off and running a local playgroup I decided to check it out.

It's a lovely sunny day and unfortunately I knew I wouldn't have much time as the council were doing mowing and it wasn't long before they were at the table area so I decided I'll have to come back another day and I suspect from the little nosey around I did I may be a little short?? (I may be wrong of course haven't had much luck with these micros). Don't like reaching into dark places that I can't see what could be lurking there.

Replaced log, all good to go again Smile

Back in form with this find. I still wandered here and there but eventually spotted that thing which is 'not quite right'! TFTC and an FP from me for very good construction.

10-Jul-15
Found this cache with my mum (1MinnieMoo). We decided to find this cache as it was rainy and wet, so not many muggles were about. It was extremely well hidden and took us a while to find it. TFTC Big Grin

10-Jul-15
Wandered searching for a little bit, trying this then that then the other. Decided to have a quick look at previous logs a)to make sure cache is still here and b) to see if I could get any ideas. Hmmm maybe I try a little harder around there? Was surprised when I got hold of cache - great camo! Log needs replacing now, as no space for further finds. TFTC - an original and sneaky cache in a quirky little location!

10-Jul-15
Needs log replacement.

08-Jul-15
This area has been a good little hot spot for me. Today i visited with my bike to tackle a few more this way.

I spent a while here. I knew what i was looking for but I wanted to climb some of these cool trees. After being a monkey I eventually got down to finding this one. Just within my reach. Huzzah. Very clever little cache. Much appreciated and worth a fav point. Even though it was a micro it was still a great cache. Not something we say often! Haha. Recovered and returned. TFTC.

02-Jul-15
OMG! I can't believe I found it! When I first got to the lonely table, I soon realised there were gazillions of places to look. Groan, where will I start? I looked for about 15 minutes and just got frustrated so I thought maybe I'd see if there was an easy spot to cross the river to some caches on the other side (reminds me of a joke I've heard before, LOL!). I walked down the path a few hundred metres, but decided to come back because it didn't look too promising. I walked back around GZ looking for a possible hiding spot. Wait a minute...hmmmmmmm...what if I do this...BINGO!!! Oooooh you sneaky thing, such a clever hide. So want to give you a fave point, but I've used them up on your other caches. It's worth persevering with this one - the reward at the end is worth it! The log is nearly full, should fit another 3 or 4 entries before you'll need a new one. TFTC! Smile. Loved it and the warm winter sun on my back while I write this log.

25-Jun-15
I'd been here once before when I was still fairly new to caching but couldn't find it. Back today with a lot more finds under my belt and it still took me quite a while. Even if I'd spent the whole day here the first time I probably wouldn't have found it.

Very clever.

Nothing helps you find a cache like having found caches. Smile

11-May-15
I really feel like an idiot. I have tried several times to make this find. I have literally groped every tree, branch, rock, leaf and piece of rubbish but could not come up with the goods. Then I noticed some newbies making the find. I resorted to the spoiler pic, then discovered I simply had not gone high enough. Oh well, a find is a find, even if I cheated a little. I did notice, however, that the floodwaters from the early May deluge had gone at least 3-4 metres up the trees. I would not be surprised if this container was underwater, even as high as it is. Thanks again for a great hide eths. FP from me.

Out and about in the area ... the day AFTER a nearby event. Razz
A slow start to the day and still taking it slowly as I make my way south. Wink
After NOT finding this one a couple of weeks ago ... and a couple of recent finders reminding me that I had not found but they had ... I am back. Razz
A short search before I spotted the cache. Smile How did I miss that the other day [?]
Maybe because it is a good camo'ed cache. Twisted
Thanks for the cache.

After a planned walk up Mt Maroon was cancelled due to inclement weather Swellerfungus and I put our heads together for some other caches to fill the gap. I had visited this one at night quite a while ago so passing by today I was pleased to be able to have another crack. With confirmation by the CO that everything was in place we headed off to GZ with much bravado. This faded rapidly as our searches continued to prove fruitless and an unpleasant stench around GZ only made matters worse. Finally I managed to spot this tricky hide with a bit of luck. No wonder I missed it at night! Thanks for a challenging cache.

21-Mar-15
Another caching extravagant with fellow cacher seffnjarah. We spent the day starting at Enoggera Dam and heading out to Eatons Hill, Strathpine, and ending up at Tichi Tamba, looking for interesting and challenging caches along the way.
I would so much like to say that it was me that found this one, but sadly it was not. Eagle-Eyes McLucky was the one that found its unique hiding spot. Well Played Eths!

04-Mar-15
Checked up on this one this morning and cache is in its correct place. Have fun! Smile

03-Mar-15
After having not found anything the first time, I came out for a second look and spent quite some time. I even looked at the cicada shells thinking one of them might be a decoy. This one has got the better of me.

01-Mar-15
With this being the last Sunday of Summer I though I should head out for a little caching. Razz
I hit this area today as there seemed to be a little too many green icons around. Smile
After attempting a nearby cache I got my boots wet. Sad
So I walked over to this one barefoot.
After lots of looking here and looking there and also over there ..
and then repeating the process several times I gave up. Sad

Very Clever cache which we deffinately weren't looking for. Found after abount 10mins of searching. Struggled with knowing which tree the cache was in because the GPS was bouncing but such is life TFTC Smile

11-Dec-14
Find #800. A previous visit here resulted in an aborted attempt when my 2yr old fell over and scratched his face badly on a stick. Today there was no possibility of that happening, it was just the geowife do I searching. She was quite the upstart today, making the grab on several hides before me, leading me to jokingly suggest she give me 5 minutes head start before getting out of the car! Approaching GZ, which the GPSr had out in the middle of the grass as it was last time, we started a systematic search. I focused on high rather than low given the flooding tendencies, but it took a while going round and round several trees before the grab was made. Nice touch, well hidden in plain view, I was chuffed to remove this teensy one from its hide hole. Log signed and container returned as found, thanks for the adventure FP from us

After a short time searching Mr 2 tripped and fell, resulting in tears and a decent bump. Search cut short, next time perhaps

We spent a very enjoyable day caching, in the company of Liz and Bruce.

Wow ! What more can we say. Thank goodness we had Bruce with us.
Had us seaching for a while. Well worth a favourite point from us.

The Monkeys are back in the game. After a notable absence with only the occasional find, it was time to get on with some of the funniest monkey business we know. Geocaching. And this time we brought along some friends, old and new.

The return of the Monkeys was inspired by a new friends search for a hobby and we knew the perfect adventure. Once upon a time the Monkeys dominated the Albany Creek area and it was time to reclaim some lost ground.

This was stop 3 of 12 attempts and 11 finds tonight.

Mr Simia Spotted and called over Tin Tin's Brother and he barked with excitement. This type of cached used to be rare but seems popular now days.

Found[Time to Find: 9 min]

14-Jun-14
The cloud had the GPSr bouncing a little but after barking up the wrong tree we came up with the goods.

It was great to join the return of the Monkeys to the game. I joined the Mr & Mrs Simia with brand new cacher Tin Tin's brother.

This was stop 3 of 12 attempts and 11 finds tonight. We also had two visits by the local and inquisitive constabulary and both times they knew about the great game.

Out for an afternoon to clear some little green boxes before I head south for a milestone. Nice little walk into GZ, as I read the hint (hmmmph, thanks for that) - but one circuit of the GZ and I spotted something untoward, and a cache was quickly revealed for signing. Nice.
Thanks for placing this cache, matt_eth. Found in good condition.

Another one that had me wamdering around in circles for a while. Lie a previous hunter my GZ was in the middle of the grass. Well it's not going to be there, is it.

A systematic check of the possible surrounding objects was the only option. Not my first guess, or second, but scruntiny of object #3 revealed a neat little cache.

03-Apr-14
Yeah! Happy to have this one as was anticipating a longer search here. Just lucky I guess!! Tftc SL.

16-Mar-14
The table may have been a lonely sight but surrounding area was pleasant great hide TFTC

09-Feb-14
The GPS put me into no mans land and that meant there were a number of areas to search. Looking for a micro under those circumstances is not easy. There are so many places which appear to be getting damaged from people searching.

I came away empty handed.

A nice hide that had us doing circles for a little while. TFTCCool

16-Jan-14
A quiet walk with the geo gremlin picked this one up. The Eths continue to impress with their sneaky cam, love it.

09-Jan-14
We made it to GZ today - we previously tried one other time but council works were in progress. Back today to pick up some local unfound caches.

We found the lonely table and made use of it while muggle man and dog walked past. Then we started our search. Wasn't long before I found something 'different' and had a cache in hand.

Geoson had more problems getting the log out!

Thanks Matt for another great cache. All is in good order. A fav from us.

Visited today to check on the cache. All is good - but replaced the temporary log sheet with a new one that's a little bigger Smile

03-Nov-13
Found late in the day between passing muggle traffic out walking their dogs. Very clever tricky hide - sat at the lonely table to sign the log. Many thanks for the great cache Matt-eth!

Urr I have a bit of a confession... Found the cache and while extracting the logbook by the tried and tested flick technique, managed to flick the log to who knows where Sad. We spent more time searching for the logbook than we had the cache but never did manage to find it Sad. I'm so sorry. I had spare paper on me and was able to furnish the cache with a brand new logsheet but sadly the old log is gone Sad. All well with the cache otherwise and yes, a very lonely (and hot today!) table.
Thanks matt_eth

Found with Bedmaker.
After checking all of the usual spots, I spied something that looked a little off. Yep, there it was. Ooh, this was a sneaky little hide this one. One that derives a favourite point from me.

Out with Tassiegirl13 grabbing a few local caches this afternoon.
I see up to this point I’m the only one privileged to have a DNF against this cache.
Well I’m not happy with that so today I dragged Tassiegirl along to help me rectify that situation.
We arrived at GZ and I looked in all the spots I’d looked last time to no avail.
We looked a bit more and then TG spied something, could it be?
Yes it was! Yayyyyyyy!!!!
“Well that was easy” she said. Mmmmm, I guess this one just wasn’t meant to be easy for me.

Find #340. Found 18/08/2013 @10:35:00 AM.

After heading to the markets at the local tavern, we decided to continue our constitutional walk and grab some eth caches which we've been considering for a while. This little guy caused us a little consternation, but we remembered who the CO was and it soon revealed itself.

A perfect time to arrive at this cache - Lunchtime! After enjoying our yummy spread we set about hunting for the cache. With GPSs pointing to either open space or the table we had our work cut out. But with a good pair of eyes the cache was soon spotted. Nicely done! TFTC

14-Aug-13
After making use of the lonely table for a picnic lunch, we headed for GZ - which today, our GPSrs agreed, was in the grass. With two almost equidistant candidates, The Marble took one and I took the other, and for a change, I managed to pick the right one! Found reasonably quickly when I noticed something slightly different, but I needed one of my buddies to grab it. Sat at the lonely table nearby to sign while a trio of muggles carried their canoe past us and around to their garden gate. TFTC, matt_eth. =^.^=

14-Aug-13
Sussed out the possibilities as we sat at the table eating lunch. We did some intense scrutinising before spotting something not quite right. Signed the log, packed up the picnic and continued on our way. Thanks matt_eth.

at 16:32. The GPSr didn't quite take us to the right spot but after exploring the wrong area we went to the right one and Cyndi's sharp eye for oddity found it.

I always enjoy having to do the South Pine loop and go up round Bunya Crossing then back past this spot. Mind you there once was a short cut straight across the river between this cache and Birmingham. Not sure how that has recovered since the 2013 floods as it did survive the 2011 floods. [?].

I knew this table as I ride past this spot often, and yes it does go well underwater in the floods. Looking at GZ as the previous visitor has made a comment there has been a little bit of scrub turkey activity around the place. Unlike the previous visitor I was determined not to leave empty handed. After what become a rather long stop on what was intended to be a quick ride I eventually was rewarded with a cache.

Great hide and a bonus point from me.

23-May-13
Checked on cache today - it is definitely there, right where it should be Smile

18-May-13
It appears someone or something has also been looking around here.
I couldn't find any cache so maybe it might be worth a check from the CO.

Out with Net88 for some caching fun. This was our first one for the day. While Net88 was still looking to go another 49 metres I simply walked up to the cache and pulled it from it's hidey hole! Signed log and replaced as found.

Out for a glorious day of caching with Nyssaflutterby. We were headed to the awful dark side of the city but we decided to grab a cache close to home first. My GPS had only just been turned on and it really doesn't like being asked to show me to the right spot when it had just woken up. It was showing me that i still had 49m to go. Nyssaflutterby however walked straight up to GZ and grabbed the cache Twisted Thanks for the cache Matt. eth

quick easy find and a nice walk to boot.

After having just conquered the Crossing, we strolled over to give the Lonely Table some company. Our caching eyes and caching sense must have been on high alert because we found this one within a minute of starting our search, this is almost never the case. Very evil, sneaky mind you have Mr _eth Wink. TNLNSL TFTC Smile.

Prior to a local swimming meet I decided to warm up by finding a couple of caches. Was aiming to get the one on the bridge on the way, but muggle family were loitering so I pushed on. Rounded the bend to find said lonely table and pondered where the cache could be given the hint. Looked here and there then saw what I needed. Nifty. Sat at the cache's namesake ato do the biz and wondered if house up there sees much unusual activity here. Returned the cache and set off for the pool. tftc Matt Eth, and May the Fourth be With You.

Out doing a few laps up at Bunya MTB and came home this way, i knew where the table was but for a reason unknow to me the cache page had not loaded in my GPS. I poked around a couple of nearby spots but nothing cache like came to hand. Given I did not know where GZ was I'll not log a DNF.

19-Apr-13
Just collecting the one for the day and this one was the closest to us. We were away when it was released, well done EngPhil on ftf. We went to GZ slowly and after circling GZ we came up with the very clever little hide. Sat at the seat and table to sign log and then returned the cache to the clever hiding spot.

Thanks again Matt for another nice spot, especially on this wonderful day. A favourite from us.

I pulled up the closest I could to GZ and made my way to there.
I searched around and finally narrowed down the possibilities.
Something caught my eye and I soon had the cache in hand.
Signed the log and replaced in its hide.
I made my way back to the geomobile but when I got there I couldn't start the geomobile. Surprised
It only happens to a cacher. Red Face
When I pulled my keys out of my pocket, the inner part of the key where the battery was, was missing. Sad
I rang my geopartner to bring my other key for the geomobile. [^]
I walked back to GZ to search for the inner part of the key.
Not there. Sad
I searched all the way back to the geomobile.
I tried to start the geomobile again.
No good. Sad
I got out of the geomobile and wandered around the front searching under the car and on the lawn on the nature strip and there was the inner part of the key. Big Grin
I rang geopartner and started the car and headed for home.
Thanks goodness people mow their nature strip. [^]
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks matt_eth Cool All good with this cache

I headed over to grab this one this morning as my cache-for-today. Convenient parking and an easy sunny walk brought me to the lonely table, then the GPS said over here. Mmmm, what to look for? Oh that's a little odd... What if I...? Yessss. Very well done, matt_eth. Another sneaky camo job. Love your work, so a favourite point from me. TFTC.

#931: *FTF* at 20:50.

I'm not sure how I feel about all these _eth caches popping up so close to home. Red Face

On one hand, they're close enough for FTFs to be attainable.

On the other hand... they're _eth caches. Which means they are deviously well hidden. Twisted This was no exception.

In my haste to leave the house, I didn't notice that the backpack that I nearly tripped over by the door was my caching bag, helpfully [?] removed from the car by Persons Unnamed this evening. So arriving near GZ I found myself with no torch and no log extractor Twisted

Not to worry. The phone did give enough light to find the tricky little blighter after about 5 minutes of searching, and nature provided log extractors right by the Lonely Table itself.

The log is *very* tight in its container. I had a hard time replacing it.

Another area I know from times past. I recall trying to teach my nephew how to ride a bike along here. We... failed.

Thanks for another evil hide, matt_eth. Twisted

Well done EngPhil on FTF and so you should have!! We are in NSW Wink.

14-Apr-13
Not sure why I went for this, I mean this is pretty much in EngPhil's back yard. But I though on the off chance he missed the notification, of was busy with family things,I should have a go. I also thought that I may be luck enough to catch up for a chat. Smile

But once it wasn't too be, I found a suitable place to park and had a nice walk to GZ, where it took me a little searching before I found this very tricky hide. Twisted

Once found, like EngPhil, I had some difficulties removing and replacing the log, and I hope that I didn't damage it.

Thanks for the tricky little hide Smile
