Day tripping to find roadside caches and tag our Chrissy tree. This was a quick find thanks to previous logs. TFTC
Needed assistance of previous logs to find it as the hint doesnt narrow it down too much!TFTC
Easter weekend away. Caching with my partner Semik, BitternA4 and the geopups. Found with assistance of previous logs. Preform at collected water so we put it back upside down to try to prevent the water Thanks for the cacheJimmyproject30 March 2024
Caching with Oddiewan, BitternA4 and the geopups. We are camped near here and came into Kingaroy to enjoy some peanut fare, see the Big Peanut and run a few errands. Were picking up caches in new-to-us LGAs in outback QLD and NSW on a Easter Holiday. We came for the view and stayed for the geocache! Got some happy snaps of the pups and the view and moved on as there were two women talking secret womens business and wanted no part in our shenanigans. Cache log was damp so water is somehow getting in (if this area is like where we live its going to be difficult for anything to avoid getting wet. We dried the log and its bag and replaced the cache upside down to try to avoid rain collection going forward. Thanks for the fun, Jimmyproject
I was looking at the wrong elevation until I read SeasonedBird's log. Thanks for the cache Jimmyproject
MM drove me to the top so I could take in the views and then seek out all the caches along the trail on the way down.
This was the first find for the morning. Container is now simply wedged in between as the tether has disappeared.

Out for the day around Kingaroy celebrating my July birthday (yes! it took the stars a while to align) with my precious acquired family from across the road. Bought them to Mt Wooroolin as they were not aware of the stunning lookout. Of course as we are all geocachers we checked the phone... low and behold... lets do some caches.
TFTC .. all happy and in good order. TNLN

Spent far too long looking for this one as the cache page info requires updating. Found whilst on a very non direct route to QOGM - Charleville 2022. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching. Find #11099
Find #11099
For a D1 T1.5 we spent way to much time searching for this one (as have many others it seems) to no avail. I’m requesting that the CO update the cache info including the size which is now “small” and that it’s about head height, refer notes in log dated 7/5/18.
Took two goes and reading logs right back to Owner Maintenance Log on 7 May 2018 to find out we were looking for this:
“This is now a bison. If you stand at co-ords and look around you should be able to notice”
Our second attempt we walked through the gap in the bushes, turned right and went into the clearing and looked right at about 180cm high and found a black preform tube pushed vertically into a tangle of branches, that’s an hour I won’t get back

Wow, that took a lot longer than it should have for a 1 difficulty. Coordinates a bit out which didn’t help…you can’t find it if you are looking in the wrong place lol. TFTC
Some great views from up here of the area. We had it all to ourselves.
It was moving day today as we traveled the short distance from Nanango to Kingaroy. The road was too bust to collect caches on the way so we headed straight to the showgrounds where we set up camp. Then it was off to collect as many caches as we could. Puzzles, multis and traditionals on a warm overcast day.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Jimmyproject.

Log is very ratty and damp. Thanks for the find though! Beautiful location! ️
Really lucky my wife was at just the right angle to see the cache otherwise nearly ready to admit defeat.
Great cache

Had a quick look but no joy and the rain drove us back to the car. Maybe next time.
A quick search with three pairs of eyes. Mr Grundie walked right past and Mrs. Herbz suddenly spied it. TFTC
Out and about with team Herbz today. Mrs Herbz made the find quickly and both names inscribed in the log. TFTC
Nanango Blitz Weekend with Stealth Seeker. Final Day.
We'd stopped for morning tea at Apex Park to enjoy the view. Great view but no cache at the look out. (There's and opportunity).
So we headed up to Mt Wooroolin to enjoy both view and cache, and to turn a frown upside down for Stealth Seeker.
After a bit of walking in circles we had the log signed.

I couldn't find this one last time I was here and remember being so cold and windy. It all came back to me looking for it again. This time with the help of Aussiemates we had the cach in hand. Great views. TFTC
On a weekend getaway with wombles and 1MinnieMoo to celebrate my 10th geocaching birthday! We attempted this one last night but failed miserably. Returning this morning we had the cache in hand quick smart. Thanks for the cache Jimmyproject
Nyssaflutterby, 1Minniemoo and I were on a road trip from north Brisbane to Munduberra and back via Kingaroy. We had a few planned caches and some extras along the way.
We tried to find this one last night in the dark and failed, of course it was very obvious in the daylight! Good to see the view by night and day though!

11/7/21 Find #4900
Road trip day three, our final day.
We had attempted this one in the dark last night, and really had not had much/any luck. So we decided to make this our first stop of the morning. A familiar drive had us parking in the same spot as before, but this time there were no other vehicles around (apparently lookouts are only interesting places to be at night). We made the dash to GZ where it was a much quicker, easier find in the light of day.
Thanks for the cache Jimmyproject.

Tftc, made the find here this morning, lots of bird sounds.

Great spot! I've really enjoyed hanging out here reading while hubby is working away. TFTC.
After a bit of back-and-forth, the find was finally made! The wire tether has rusted through, but there is enough to be able to return it to its hiding spot. The cache and it’s are in great condition. The view from the lookout is fantastic! Thank you for bringing me here.
Great view. Found after a bit of a search. We almost gave up but then I tried extending the search out in another direction. TFTC
This took me a while to find and had to think about ratings, etc. and look at previous logs. Adjusted my altitude and soon had the log in my hand Great views from up here.

Found after a bit of a think. Nice and dry. Here is a bit of history you might have missed from 18 yrs ago.. https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC8567
TFTC! Wow what a drive up here, with a magnificent view. Short search had the cache in hand.
Nice view from the lookout and not as cold out here as were expecting - I think we had a lucky break of warm weather over the weekend, probably due to the cloudy skies keeping the warmth in.
Investigated the interesting lichen-encrusted forest at the edge of the park - it took a bit of a search as it was not the size we were expecting (being used to "regular" as an ammo tin size).
As rain was still threatening and we had a bit of a drive home today via Wondai & Gympie to the Sunshine Coast, we opted to leave the walk and the power trail of caches for another visit.

Looked everywhere. It HAS to be here, then remembered a time I bought on hire purchase, looked again, and got it. What a great view one has from the lookout. TFTC.
I should have logged this cache a long time ago. It's now 6/4/21. I must have overlooked this find, but remember it well. My husband's old friend brought us here and the view was everything he told us it would be. TFTC Jimmyproject
Out for a morning's cache run to grab all the caches west of the Highway, most were quick finds while a few took a bit more searching for.

I use to run this mountain from my place at Princess Court to here and back twice a week. My wife use to push our 4 mth old son in a pram with two dogs with her up this mountain 25 years ago. Thanks for this one. I am off chasing dinosaurs now.
Found in this lovely spot while in the area visiting family with my muggle partner thank you for placing this cache here for us to find.
What a hot day in Kingaroy!!! So dry out here. Crossing fingers and toes for rain. Nice hide. TFTC
On our way home slowly after the QOGM event in Blackall and finding some great geocaches along the way.
If the container is small we may sign as CG.
Lots of thanks to Jimmyproject for placing the cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.

While staying in the Barambah Bush Caravan Park we headed off to try for a few more smilies nearby.
Our main aim was the ‘Walk With The Dinosaurs’ series near Kingaroy but we grabbed any we could find while passing by.
After grabbing the last of the ‘Walk With The Dinosaur’ series at this location we opted to get the one at the very top. Were surprised to see a young lass execising her dog when we arrived but she soon left and after viewing the scenery at the lookout we started to make our way back down the mountain and soon had the cache in hand.
We walked back down the road to where the geomobile was oarked at the bottom.
Many thanks for the hide Jimmyproject

We had time for a little caching as we travelled from Bathurst to Hervey Bay and back to see the whales. We thoroughly enjoyed both and are grateful for the caches which helped make the trip more enjoyable. We enjoyed the amazing views from here - great place for a cache.
We are on an eight day trip to Hervey Bay. We saw the most amazing wild creatures close up at Hervey Bay. Whales are ugly but still so wonderful. We also saw some beautiful countryside, although everywhere is in dire need of rain. Thanks for your cache which helped us take a break from driving and have fun at the same time. Wonderful views from here so we stopped and had lunch.
I had spent the night in Kingaroy on a roadtrip with my girls. This morning on the way to pick up their friend from a nearby property we stopped so I could collect a few caches. Miss 16 took advantage of the opportunity to clock up some time behind the wheel and was the driver as I hopped in and out of the car collecting as many caches as we had time for. The bend at the top of the hill tested her out a bit, but she managed like a trooper and lived to drive another day. Tftc Jimmyproject!
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Jemillalucy, Bennyboppers and Lisylou). TFTC!
Did the series walking up the track. Good view but a bit cloudy today. Unfortunately despite an extensive search I couldn't turn this one up. Thanks for bringing me here anyway.
My wife and I had aborted our planned walk because of the flora in the area. It could seriously do with a wash in some moisturising cream to soften it up. We walked back to the car and thought we would have better luck with this cache.
Nope! The spiky tough plants were still there just waiting for us to stumble into their trap. Those cunning foliage and their friends the conniving greenery were waiting in quiet with the devious herbage and the worst of them all, the duplicitous leafage. Mrs Woodyrothwell spotted the hide and I said she had to go in to get it. I had already lost a quart of blood to the Janus-faced vegetation. She threw the cache out at me because even with long pants her arms were looking red. We walked up the path to take the obligatory selfie and decided it was time to enjoy some bubbles at the RSL (which hopefully they have (seeing this was two days ago - they did (seeing I'm drinking wine writing about wine in the future what could go wrong (Note from 2020 Woodyrothwell: you are an idiot)))) tftc

After enjoy the fantastic view and having a break we venture over and found the cache. Thanks for showing us this area. Fp added
Nice view from the lookout. Found after a short search was little harder than normal. Celebrating our 15th anniversary. TFTC
We are a pair of Grey Nomads doing the Big Loop around OZ. Stopped for a few days at Kingaroy to see the sights and collect a few caches. TFTC.
Ground a bit wet under foot after rain last night, but cache high and dry. Tftc and views.
While camping in the Nanango area with my geodog Scruffy, we just had to get out & about finding some caches in the surrounding areas.
Looked and looked and the hint was of little help, and was just about to give up when something caught the corner of my eye .. aahhh ... gotcha !!
All Good .. TFTC ..

We had loaded up Scooby Doo (Car) & the Mystery Machine (Van and mobile GEO HQ) and headed off to Kingaroy QLD for the inaugural Baconfest. After checking into the Kingaroy Holiday Park (Recommended) we were all set for 3 days of celebrating all things bacon. Although apart from the event name, most of the weekend showcased pork rather than bacon.
With all that yummy bacon and pork on offer (the “Butchers Block’ meal in the RSL bistro is certainly a vegan free zone) we needed to do a bit in between to stop the arteries hardening completely, what better way to do it than chase a few caches.
Drove up here just to see the lookout, when we were done, I punched the next cache on the list into the car nav, turned off the engine and walked over to take a fair bit longer than I should have to find this cache.
One of 20+ easy finds in between rain showers and lunch at Baconfest.
We took nothing but memories; we left nothing but footprints, and our tag.
The hide is excellent, the container is in good nick. and the log is in good condition and ready for the next finder.
Thanks for the cache Jimmyproject.
Cheers
