Spending some time caching around the NSW/ACT southern tablelands with lots of side trips. TFTC.A few caches around Crace today.A clever different type of hide. Nice one.
It was lovely weather today. With ALL7 lend me around for some caches.Fanstaic mutli and I enjoyed around for some caches before the event in the afternoon. Here, GZ easily retieved the cache.Sign the log with good dry. TFTM
EthisEthat was coming back to this one, being unable to last time, and brought me along to help. After a quick check and confirmation of EthisEthat original coordinates, we started searching (it didnt help that the hint also applied to this place). Eventually, we decided to split up. EthisEthat, the stubborn and more experienced geocacher, decided to keep searching, while I double checked the coordinates were right. After checking the same spot two seperate times, it finally dawned on me that I should perhaps read what the cache told me to do here.As after running to EthisEthat screaming Ive figured it out! (not my proudest moment), we quickly found the cache at the real location.TFTC
Out and about caching with unimaginativename on the trusty bicycles!I've previously came up with coordinates for this cache, but they landed me in a spot that lacked any real substance. So today I set out to recheck the numbers with a second pair of eyes!Originally all answers seemed correct and my GZ was still incorrect! However upon a third look with careful attention to wording, UNN managed to rectify the coordinates which landed us in a very likely spot! Took a bit of searching once at GZ but after trying another perspective the cache was quickly in hand! Clever! Been a while since I've seen that container! Thanks for the enjoyable multi STORMCATCHERS!
11:43The Capital GeoBash certainly drew an enormous number of geocachers to Canberra for the fun and excitement. Together with fellow Victorians the Suscoe Duo we ventured out to the north west of the Mega site and found a great variety of interesting caches. **FEDBACK TO CO:** This one needs more than a little TLC please, as the container is broken. Luckily we were able to make a very temporary repair to return the cache to where we found it.Thanks to STORMCATCHERS for adding this cache to the geo-gameboard.36760
This was Suscoe's first day of caching in Canberra in preparation for the GeobashWe were out and about with our great Friends Phetlern. We were working our way through the North Western Suburbs of Canberra. We found a terrific range of caches on a delightfully mild day. Thanks to STORMCATCHERS for this cache. The hide needs a little TLC at the moment.
Looking at a handful of caching in Canberra. I've added this one to the list. Thanks for the cache!
Another suburb for the mapping challenge filled in.
As I was wandering around, about half way I thought that would be a good spot to hide a cache, and it lined up with the numbers I had plugged in already, but there was a dog-walking muggle behind me so I thought I'll just pass by instead of looking in a random spot.
After I got all the numbers, my suspicions were indeed proven right, I spotted the cache quickly and popped it back - the cache is a bit fragile and I had to double check that I had closed it properly as the lid has been attempted to be opened the wrong way a few times by the look of it.
Thanks for the cache, the view from the lookout was quite nice, and you can see the big towers of Gungahlin!

An evening ramble around my new neighbourhood found me collecting the information for this cache, and admiring the work that has gone in to the walk. I did the sums, then after a short and successful diversion to a nearby cache, it was off to GZ, where I had to wait for several groups of passing muggles before searching. I located the cache after a short search, having missed it the first time I checked that spot! Coordinates were spot on! Thanks for the cache STORMCATCHERS
Helps if I read the WHOLE sentence on the plaques when answering the questions. 2nd time round with the correct GZ and finally found. TFTC ️
A great multi in another Canberran park that was new to us. We did a couple of laps collecting and checking the required information, and learning about Australian fauna. We were then off to what we thought was GZ, where we searched in vain for far too long. We were then muggled out!
A quick message to a previous finder and some more coordinate checking had us realise we were way off, but soon we had a lightbulb moment and were onto the real final. The clever hide was soon in hand thereafter. Fav point for the multi and hide. TFTC STORMCATCHERS

Barb2e, Joolay and I teamed up to get a couple of caches in this area. Barb2e and I had been here previously and had a long look, but no find. Apparently we didn't quite look in the right place. Today it was a quick find.
We very much enjoyed the stroll to collect all the information on our previous visit.

Failed to read all the instructions which caused me some initial grief before I corrected things. Joined a group at the nearby event to make our way to GZ and complete the find. TFTC and the multi STORMCATCHERS.
While attending the Hill Top Luncheon Event it was a perfect opportunity to grab this multi. Quick and easy find. TFTC STORMCATCHERS.
Even leaving at stupid O’clock can’t stop me from Geocaching or better yet 4 Geo-events. Having to leave at 5am to arrive on time for the first event was difficult but worth it. This is because I received the ‘Lucky Door Prize’, which happens to be a new trackable for my collection. Before, during and after each event, I quickly ducked away to find a couple nearby caches. This was sometimes with people and other times without. It was all great fun and nice to see everyone again for the fun plus talking all things Geo. During the second event someone discovered that we were at GZ of another cache. IT'S STILL THERE! A bonus find for everyone. The 3rd event today was my 50th event, I have attended. A unique milestone which everyone congratulated me for. With the large gap between the third and fourth events, I checked into my motel, found a couple labs and mystery caches. I was at the last event for only a few minutes as I was meeting up with other friends (who don’t do Geocaching… yet) over the other side of the city. Afterwards, it was time to head back to the motel for sleep and getting ready for heading home tomorrow. TB visit on all caches. I would like to thank all CO’s for the caches I found and for allowing them to bring enjoyment to the caching community. TFTC’s and TFTE’s
P.S. I am hosting two CITO’s before the end of the year. The first being: TAR and CITO #4 (GC9J99Z) on 29 November 2021. The second being: Boxing Day CITO #2 (GC9J9AX) on 26 December 2021. Hope to see you there!

A quick find here while attending the nearby event. Thanks, STORMCATCHERS.
Today was a great day with lots of events, a couple of multi's, some tree climbs with a couple of labs thrown in.
Very nice to have some decent chats with old & new friends.
Thanks to all the CO's for placing

Got a call from Injuryman who was keen to get out of the house for a bit of geo therapy. This was a nice walk with well set out questions. After reaching GZ IM was the first to spot the cache. So all logged and returned to its hide. Cheers. That leaves Storm 1 for another day as Storm 3 already done.
Enjoy all the info plaques , the individual sculptures and the trails .
The parkland is nice and green at present as well .
Many thanks to Stormcatchers for the well set out multi .

I had collected the clues and solved this one ling ago. Today I needed a nontrad and a bit of a walk for the geohound so set my sites on this one. Cache was quickly found and the pouch enjoyed all the smells. Found with La_Shee. TFTC.
Nice fast find today woo hoo! I couldn’t find it last time I was here so it is great to have such a quick find today. A very clever hide and a fav for me. Thanks for the cache.
Pleasant school holiday afternoon for a stroll with the geokiddies. They got to play on the playgrounds, we all got some exercise, and then after a bit if confusion when I didnt read a question properly (my high school maths teacher would be so disappointed!) we had a fairly quick find at GZ.
Completed the waypoints yesterday but struggled with a roaming gps signal and muggles that had me searching everywhere but the cache location! A bit of reassurance from the cache owner (thank you) and the Cache was quickly in hand. Thanks for the journey and the cache.
Like others before me I had not seen the correction for this GZ so it took a PAF to be put on the correct track. Once at GZ it was a quick find thank goodness as I really wanted a multi cache for my calendar today and I have already had one DNF. TFTC Stormcatchers. SL
Another afternoon of caching on the way home this afternoon to get some numbers.
Quick find once at GZ.
Quick find once at GZ.
After some shopping and maintanace, I did feel one token cache for the day was in order. This was not to far away and, as I had done the run around on the WPs it was something easy to check on again in the dark.
Recheked a WP and lucky there was a new log promting me to read the description again, and sure enough that is what I had missed last time. The new finals matched the cecksums.
The find still took almost 10 minutes as I was just missing it, a couples times and had by then looked all over the place. Persistance once more payed off
Thank you STORMCATCHERS for putting the cache out and maintaining it.

I too found the screw and the fishing line and then kept looking and looking. I eventually rechecked my figures and then read AALLLL the words in the description. Soon enough, I had the cache in hand.
A beautiful little park in an area I had never driven around in before. I can now check this suburb off of my challenge to-do list. TFTH

Out on a walk so checked in here and cache is happy in place. Photo of log attached.
A nice walk through Crace I haven't really been in this area much. Cool information about Australian animals. Finding the cache took way longer then it should have. I was about to give up when I finally found it. TFTC
9442 Located by baby&Mrs gopher at 1640 in company with fizzgig&lyric. Tina mentioned this cache The Storm II when we arrived yesterday as a good one with 6 days short of a year since found. Always up for a walk and to help the unloved. After an SMS, to the CO lyric had the container in hand. In good condition after 359 days without a find. SL Tnx STORMCATCHERS.
Had my eye on this one the past few weeks to find as there has been no love for it over the past year and today was the day! Have baby&Mrs gopher over visiting so we headed out while we had a relatively smoke free day, after our stroll up, down and around the reserve and an sms to confirm the co-ords as the gps wanted to go play else where, soon had the cache in hand. SL and a favorite point from us, loved the hide. TFTC STORMCATCHERS.
Solved this one dead set middle of winter but thought to leave the find until it was 37 degrees mid Christmas / New Year when no one in their right mind would be out and about. I was right! Favourite added for the stupid time I was out and about, and for the fun the kids had in solving it way back in August. TNLNSL TFTC
Found with Trodectus. We were in the area so T suggested that we try for this one. Thankfully there was no-one at GZ this time. We started searching and after some minutes came up with CIH, sneaky hide. Log signed and replaced. TFTC.
Found with Coybear2000. It's nice to turn the blue frown into a smile. We were in the area so I suggested to C that we try for this one. C trusted my previous co-ords so we used those. Thankfully there was no-one at GZ this time. We started searching and after some minutes C came up with CIH. Log signed and all replaced. TFTC.
Ah, completion at last. It was nearly 5 months ago when I logged a DNF on this one. It just somehow took me that long to return. Thanks to Stormcatchers for quickly replacing the cache. It was found quickly tonight in its new location on this dark and coolish night. There was no one about in the park so there were no issues in looking for and retrieving the cache. I expect it would be a bit trickier during busy times. TFTM
Dropped by today to check out GZ, cache still there and in perfect condition in its new home. The birds and bees are definitely loving the show of red bottle brushes ATM!
No luck in finding this one. I went to all the way points and gathered the info., then did the adjustment and my co-ords agreed with the checksum. I then headed to GZ and started looking. However I heard voices nearby and spotted a mother and child not far away. They saw me, so I wandered off a little way and sat down until they eventually moved off. Back I went and searched for some minutes until again I heard voices and again saw the mother and child a short distance away. If they were fellow cachers I would imagine they'd have made themselves known but I decided I wouldn't hang around and so headed to find a nearby.
New location, original answers are the same, just need to add the south and east correction at the bottom of the description. Thanks to the last finders for flagging the issue with this one, much appreciated.
Another vandalised cache by a muggle or muggle children... The original spot is just too exposed now, especially considering it seems to be a favourite spot to play. Hide has now changed and moved. Same Difficulty and Terrain. Updated coordinates to come.
I was here collecting a nearby cache and realised I ought to do this multi as well. I enjoyed my evening stroll through this lovely park that I've never been to before. Around I went, collecting all the required information by torchlight (I almost miss counted at WP1 though). Finally, with all the answers to the clues, I plugged in the numbers and got coords for gz that matched the checksums. So off I went and soon found the likely final location. Alas, I found no cache. Only the remnants of how it was attached. I searched hard but to no avail. I've included a photo for the CO. I suspect it has been muggled. But it was still an enjoyable experience. I'll definitely bring the geokids back during the day and let them go round collecting the clues. They'll enjoy it.
Well! That has to be the smallest container yet. Out with dty73 on an early morning run in Gunahlin. Took a while to find it but it is so cute I am giving it a favourite. Kutgw
Glad Youban and I did this in the morning before it got too hot. We were able to get the answers ok with a little rechecking to ensure the check sum worked, but I was a little concerned at GZ at first, but then soon had the tiny little thing with no issues. Tftc!!!
Removing Maintenance Flag - most people seem to be able to play through okay.
Initially I had been putting off doing these multi's due to the number of way points but after completing the first one last week and realising how good and straightforward they were i did return today for the second! On first glance of the park it looked a bit lacking but all the good bits were hiding away! Another nice park that without the cache I would have missed out on. Nice walk around and questions all good and answers easy to collect. Only problem I had was with my own reading, check sum was only counting to 30 for the east. Re reading the questions realised my mistake and which question, added on the missing number and GZ looked a whole lot better out of somebodies driveway! Did circle about looking for the cache but found soon enough, thanks for the cache SC!
Tried about a year ago but it had been muggled. Finally returned for a find, though took a few minutes to spot. I loved this park and as promised, once found have made a favorite. TFTC.
Great find 2/2 for today. Enjoyed your Cache Playing in the storm but personally enjoyed this one better. Please make another one like this!
My Saturday morning caching took me to Ghungalin. First I attended to two multies I have driven past too many times. Both were good fund walks around interesting local parks with lots of features to see and use.
Thanks.

With relatives in town for the weekend it's been difficult to cache this week. The smallest tadpole however needs to collect some natural things for school (and needs to get some energy out) and my brother hasn't seen much of Canberra, so I thought a walk with a view would be good.
I remember coming here for other caches, great playground and walking trail. Data collected and cache found without any trouble.

An interesting place to visit with the little bronze models of animals. It didn't take Goldenwattle and I long to complete; despite there being 8 WPs. Clear, unambiguous questions. [^][^][^]
This is a good example of a multi cache.
This deserves a favourite from me, well done STORMCATCHERS.

Found with epzccc131. East coordinates didn't match up, not sure where I went wrong. Partner managed to find thanks to a previous photo
Seems to be a lot of people ending up with incorrect East coordinates. Can CO please check to see if there have been any changes to puzzle waypoints
A few days ago I did most of the work for this multi. But I got my numbers wrong and had to go back. I have learned that not only do I have issues with counting, I also have problems with reading instructions! So during the quiet of the morning I headed back to Crace finish the job. This morning it was quiet and, fortunately, not raining. Things at GZ were damp from the deluge of the previous evening. I found the well-hidden cache and signed the log. As far as I could see it was a brand new log, but I didn't unroll it the whole way.
As I walked from GZ back to the geo-jet, a power-walker whooshed past me.
Thanks SC for the multi-cache!

Found this one about 200 feet from where my calcs pointed me. Like the last finder, I got a clue from am earlier photo. Thanks
We came down here for a walk on Saturday afternoon, while it was muggle free - we didn't find the cache.
I misinterpreted one of the questions, which gave me some bung co-ords, but I addressed those once I realised my mistake!
When I got home, I saw a picture of the cache which gave away it's likely location. So I decided to visit again asap
ASAP was during a short ride. Arrived at GZ and found it veeeeeeeery exposed (still attached and hanging). Quickly signed and put away as to not be seen by muggles.
Smallest bison i've ever seen btw. TFTC SC!

Cache is replaced and ready for finders. This is a high muggle area so please hide the cache so that it's not easily spotted by muggles.
Decided to go check on this one, yep, attack of muggle again! Most of the cache survived but looks like the area might be popular with kids now the area has matured and got nice green grass everywhere!
Might have to rethink the hide, stay tuned

Alas after coming up with all the answers which agreed with the check sum it was a DNF. I actually found a container at the GZ but there was no log book in it. Would have been a favorite if I had found, will try again and if found will make a favorite. I really liked the sculptures especially the snake one.
#1735 Fortunately I realised my mistake without having to revisit. A quick recalculation revealed the correct answer. So I ducked out at lunchtime for a quick find .. well so I thought. 15 mins later I had the cache in hand. Tricky and small. TFTC Storm catchers. I enjoyed it.
I collected all the data but I just couldn't make the E checksum work. In the end I ran out of time. I'll be back to revise & finish this one.
Headed out this afternoon with TikvaNZ on our regular multi run. With the storm coming up from the south it was a line ball call as to whether we would get it done.
Managed to grab all the numbers (so we thought) but had a fail at our calculated GZ. We walked the E line (which was where we had made a mistake) and it was a relief when TikvaNZ yelled out the required words. My - what a little one!
Cache signed and returned, and while we were contemplating whether or not to go for another one, the heavens opened! No more playing in the storm for us tonight.
Thanks for the cache - I have attached a photo grabbed while heading up the hill. I only just realised there is badgeware for number of photos uploaded - who knew!

AngelG27 and I were out on our first Thursday after work multi cache expedition for the year. We picked this as doable before the pending storm hit. As we picked off the waypoints there was thunder and lightning in the distance. When we arrived at GZ and checked the hint we discovered we were a little out with our east co-ords. Not sure where we made the mistake, but with a bit of deduction we searched likely spots and found the cache. By now the storm was nearly overhead - no rain but some close lightning strikes. We decided to call it a day after this one and as we drove away it bucketed down. TFTC and bringing us to another area of Canberra to explore.

What a beautiful parkland area, and this multi-cache is definitely a great way to highlight some of its' features. We loved our walk around here, and even managed to pick up one other cache along the way.
It is lovely to see the green spaces in this new suburb and the nearby community hub (gardens etc).
We arrived at GZ, and soon had the cache in hand. Note to self....bring magnifying glass and .02 pen, since the pen we had was almost too big, and it was hard for the eyes to read the log (yes....my eyes must be failing me...)
Thanks STORMCATCHERS.
That was fun, beautiful walk and entertaining,

Returned to this one again today, and still could not locate, will return again sometime soon.
Noticed these had been fixed, so headed out this afternoon to sign the log. Fortunately I had saved the coordinates from my efforts last time, so only had to visit GZ. Very small, so signed as Pac.
Thanks for replacing the cache.

Old cache retrieved from the darkness and new cache deployed. Happy playing !
After my failure at #1, I thought I would try this one. Visited all the WPs and found some interesting information. Lots of ants at several WPs (probably due to the imminent rain). Calculated GZ and headed off where the cache was not to be found, but I did find the chain!

Another find on my summer cachestravaganza. Woohoo. Quite hot out there today! A quick stroll along the points and quickly found. Was there another cacher I spotted at the kangaroo sculpture?
Evidentially we found this cache during a thunder storm. First time in Crace. Had a couple if drinks at 'The District' before we set out.
Today saw my first chance in a very long time to have a solid caching day combined with some quality dog-time with Elvis the geo-hound who has been thinking I hate him after a months enforced inactivity.
A bit of easy suburban walking seemed to fit the bill and I had looked at this and it's sister cache a couple of times and had to dismiss them due to lack of time. After the enjoyable flat wander I thought the leg was up to something a little bit harder (mind you the pace was pretty still slow). Another tops suburban gem that was well worth the visit. Thanks Stormcatchers.

Thanks Stormcatchers for a really enjoyable cache hunt and location. A beautiful walk as the sun was setting behind the Brindabellas. My grandson has just moved to Canberra and I will be bringing him here to explore. Also I will add this one to my list of interesting caches for the scouts to try.
