Such a beautiful sunny Winters day so after attending an afternoon appointment I decided the next couple of hours would be best spent on the treadley knocking off a few of The Periodic Table series of caches.
My strike rate was a bit hit and miss along the way sometimes moving along after only a short search due to time constraints so there were a few DNF's in the mix. But seeing as most containers had been either replaced or checked recently, I was thankful for 14 finds today.
Great to see this epic series being maintained so many thanks to Cirrus_WA and to BlaKids for placing the series initially. What a huge task!
This one was a prickly retrieve and replace.. TFTC

I initially skipped the last because of a speed camera operator. I came up here nabbed this one, and then went back to the one I missed. The camera operator and I had a laugh because even those I was up the freeway and he was facing the other way, he was watching me and wasn't sure what I was doing there ahaha. Cheers Cirrus_WA!
Catching up on a few logs that I’ve never got around to sending. Please excuse the generic log. Thanks for the find.
Felt very exposed to passing traffic on this one. I found it, logged it and skidaddled.
After a big morning at Lake Walyungup, I thought I’d hit the PT series from the bottom of the table up. I made 19 finds and one DNF in the series. This is an excellent series spanning a huge distance. Well done on maintaining it. TFTC

Out on the bike today to find some caches along the Kwinana Freeway. Another good hide here TFTC
Had a great day with The-Shredder doing the remaining ones from this series. TFTC Skyryser
What a nice day with Skyryser. We finally finished this series. Thanks for all the caches along the bike path. TFTC
Find 3 of 13 caches on a 7 km walk my young fella today clearing the area within walking distance of home. TFTC
With our bicycles we made the series from the elements.
Here we began with Nr. 49 and are able to find every cache. Some logbook was wet, than we spent a new sheet of paper. So it was an successful day and we had a lot of fun.
Thank you and greetings from Germany send Moorhelmi

We were on the way home to the airport to wing our way back to Melbourne. A couple of difficult to find caches (actually easy caches that we were cache blind to) had derailed our (my) plans of more finds on the way home, so when geobub needed a feed I insisted that geopartner go off with geotoddler in search of the elusive smilie. He was sent off to get three, but came back after quite some time with only one. It was a little difficult to get to the bottom of the story with two grumpy geochildren around, something about which side of the fence to be on. Regardless, he got this one! Thanks for the cache.
Spent the day completing the southern section of the PT Series.
Started up at Mortimer Rd and had an enjoyable walk southward.
Ended the that with 25 finds and 5 DNF’s that I will rectify soon. TFTC.

Today’s mission, find 54 caches so I can get that World Turtle Souvenir. 5 down, 49 to go. TFTC
Out with Nan (neva2old) parkacruz and piknik15 working on our souvenirs, hopefuully we will have enough today. tftc
Out and about with Neva2old, Piknik15 and yeatesy89 to grab a few more smilies along the periodic table and surrounding areas, happy to say we came up trumps today TFTC
Out and about with Parkacruz and our grand kids yeatesy89 & Piknik15 we grabbed a few of the periodic table, 3 FTF's and a bunch of other nearby caches. tftc
A nice quick find today with Nanny & Poppy aka parkacruz, neva2old and yeatesy89 TFTC
After an afternoon caching we stopped on the way back from Mandurah - short walk from the food stop to grab this one

Thank you! As I had a day off work, Photo_Play and I teamed up today to do the Periodic Table caches south of Thomas Road. Knowing that rain was expected in the afternoon, we made an early start on the bicycles. Most caches were straightforward finds, with a couple requiring a more thorough search.
Found It. TFTC BlaKids. My Visa was still current, so I teamed up with Ullyssia and came down to complete the Periodic Table series south from Thomas rd. Great series.
Out and about finishing the periodic table today, hopefully it stays nice and cool for this short run today.

Im after numbers for January and what better way to start than with some periodic table caches. I picked up m4yb at the end in Baldivas so she could leave her car there to save a ride back before heading to the Kwinana Train station (Free parking on Public holidays). Here we met up with Megawat60 and started our morning bike ride south (Hopefully early enough to beat the heat). We had a lovely ride with a gentle breeze keeping the temperature down for most of the way. My knees were a bit sore by the end but it was certainly an enjoyable and worthwhile morning with most of the caches quick finds shared amongst the 3 of us. The only dampener was the 2 DNFs in a row but that makes it easier to fix. TFTC and series LouBla and BlaKids
Out with WebblyWA for her numbers and m4yb for the exercise before it gets too hot.
Thanks for the series and I am glad to have it ticked off the list bar the few DNF's

The ride continues. It is warming up but the end is in sight. Megawat60, WebblyWA and I take turns being the lucky finders, we sign the log (as M, W & M for speed and so we dont take up too much log space!) and onto the next one. TFTC!
A bit warm out there this morning in our attempt to complete the Periodic Table. Had to be on the look-out for any of our reptilian friends but breathing easy now. Thanks for setting up this lengthy set of caches BlaKids and loubla.
Decided today was a great day for a bike ride and some caching along the way so what better series to do than this one!So we took off early this morning to see how many we could find before the bike seat became a pain in the butt! SL TFTC
I have been looking at the periodic table series of caches for some time now. Since I have decided to complete a challenge I need the numbers hence the reason for the run today. I took the day off work and co=opted a couple of fellow cachers, Lazarus_68 and Dezzabills. I thought a couple of days would finish the series off, So today we set off early on our pushbikes with the idea of completing as many as we could manage. As it turns out we made it all the way to the end. We were very fortunate to find the caches quicker than expected. So to sum up the day we found 117 caches in the periodic table and a couple of extras along the way giving me a grand total of 119 for the day. Not bad if I say so myself, and surprisingly there were no DNF's so all in all a great day. The ride down from home in Como took us 6 hours and 58 minutes. While my fellow cachers took the train home I toughed it out and rode home in just over 2 hours. We stopped several times down and back for a break and a bite to eat to refuel the bodies.
This was the 114th find of 119 for the day and was found at 2:47PM Thanks BlaKids/loubla for the cache. hhheddy

Out with hhheddy & dezzabills polishing off this series by bike. It's been an interesting journey, reciting thru the table of elements one by one, like back in science class. The overall distance daunting, but just kept focused one at a time; having buddies help search effort and spur each other along to the end invaluable. As anticipated most caches were easy to find and in good condition, some required extra effort; couple out in the open, couple half-buried; dozen wet log papers. In hindsight could've been prepared to dry log papers & bring some mint tin replacements.
Thank you for the cache series!

Found this one with Leega and the Geohound. Nice quick find. Slowly but surely picking this series off, emphasis on the slowly. TFTC BlaKids.
ReadyRex found your cache. Another quick and easy find. Signed the log. This is our 1347 find. Thanks BlaKids & LouBla for the hunt.
Went out for a bike ride with jackyleggs, we rode almost 30 kms
It was good exercise, but we pulled up a bit sore.

Out for a ride today, to pick up some caches, and what a misson it was. Started at Cockburn shopping centre, and finished off at Baldivis, 26 km of pain. 76 finds and 3 dnfs for the day. Thanks to Roma308 for joining the misson.Tftc sl tnln.
Out this afternoon with Oshiel and jjjzellis to start the Periodic Table. TFTC - find #6 today
My chain came off and this is the last cache before I get back to my car so I'm going to take it as a sign and call it a day however I will be back in the near future to continue on with this series

I'm still intending to replace this cache so that it's history is maintained. Am just a bit busy with work & life in general. It may still be 3 or 4 weeks until I have the time to get down to that location to replace the cache again. Thank you for your patience.
Looks like I jumped too soon with relocating the cache. Has been 'removed' again. Will get to this when I can. Could be a couple of months...
1of 4 we didn't find location has recently been cleared and new fence being put in as part of land development.

Indeed, the new service station has taken out 2 good caches. Shame to see them go... Have now replaced Copernicium with a shiny new tube & a new location. Happy hunting.

Given a whole day to go caching in Perth the inner scientist in Freddo could not resist the geeky awesomeness of a Periodic Table PT. With bicycle supplied by .K.B. I travelled by train to Kwinana and folllowed the trail of elements from one end to the other. The cache finds ranged from seen as I arrived, to hides that have me looking for twice the 3 minutes I had allowed. Some caches were replaced. A few caches were unfound and will stand as DNF's.
I know these elements. My job as a metallurgist means that I deal with a large portion of the common 92 at work. There was a sense of pride reeling them off. And then there was the joy of cruising along on a bike on a beautiful winter day that actually feels like an Indian summer.

This cache was found using a Garmin GPSr, Montana 650t, Oregon 550 or Dakota 20. Waypoints and paperless geocaching downloaded via GSAK 8.

Day thirty one of the WA road trip with BettyBoo3747.
Spent the day on the deadly treadlies riding a part of the Periodic Table Series. We started in the lower third at Francium, and went south until we ran out of elements, then back to the car for a picnic lunch.
After lunch we headed north as far as Holmium before calling it a day.
Two DNFs and a few replaced containers due to fire damage (BB will send you an email with details), but on the whole most were good hides, and very accurate co-ordinates.
A good sized container to base the power trail upon.
Lots of bike riding muggles (and a caching one - Hi, Clan-Wallace!), but most had their head down speeding along the trail.
A lovely day for a ride and cache.
Thanks for this section of the trail, Robmc.

# 8026. Another lovely Autumn Day, albeit a bit smoky, so Robmc and Idecided to take the bikes out again and make a good start on the Periodic Table Series. It is a great bike path and mostly protected against the wind and the noise - but not always. Francium was our first one in the series and then we headed south. It took us two hours to complete that 30, with 1 DNF - with a few longer searches and some cache maintenance along the way. After lunch we then rode northwards to grab another 19 and 1 DNF.
I have done a few puzzles based on the Table but some of these names today I have found very amusing - Nobelium, Rutherfordium, Mendelevium, Einsteinium, Curium etc. Sounds like they have just been made up to fill in some gaps. I know many are the names of scientists or universities but still they amuse me.
Thanks BlaKids

Headed Off with Geoson this morning on the bikes to complete a major section of this series.
It was frustrating me seeing all those green icons on the side of the freeway as I drove to work so I wanted to get rid of them
3 1/2 hours, 19km, and a lot of smileys later, we called it quits. A great run with most being easy finds. A couple of hunts, and scrambles but all in all an enjoyable morning.
All the caches and logs are in good condition. Some of the logs looking a bit tired but definatley will last a bit longer.
This was cache number 8 out of 59 for today. Also our total find number 2497
Thanks BlaKids for this hide.

This series caught our eye back in UK before visiting family in Secret Harbour, so we decided to make a start. Got dropped off at Kwinana Station and cycled south to Safety Bay road. It was a good bike path and very quiet, only meeting a couple of other cyclists. We did meet a couple of snakes and a really nasty looking, large spider. The caches were all reasonably easy to find, barring a couple. The coordinates were mostly very accurate and we had a really good day. TFTC.
