It's a beautiful spring day and the deadly treadlies need some dusting off.TNLN SL TFTCSubmitted via Garmin Live Geocaching
Quick and easy find on a mission today with droppdpie, tftc signed and replaced
Really cool cache this one! Thanks for the cache CO another great spot found on my travels with birdyk. Signed and replaced.
I found this cache on my Mega Walk #22 - a 26,000 step walk from Brooklyn to Altona. I walked back from Millers Road to this cache. Just before, the new KCT Trail had temporary fencing around it, sort of blocking it off but I could just walk around it, so I did. I don't know why it was blocked as the path was completely finished with no works along it at all. I was looking out to see if there were any blocks at the other end. There were but the locals must have got tired of waiting for it to open and had cut, dismantled and thrown it all over the side fence. That was nearer to the 3rd cache along. At this cache, a steady walk to GZ and I soon had the cache in hand, Thanks from D B-A
Cannot find, seemed dangerous Also hate spiders so I didnt want to go in the bush
We packed the ebikes and headed to the big smoke for a couple of days. Fortified by lunch and joined by Mr Morris we headed off on the next part of the trail.Nice to see this new section. Thanks for taking us on a tour of the backblocks of Altona, Brooklyn and wherever else we were.
The pathways around these bridges are now open, and the cache is still in place ready to be found. There is now a great view of both bridges, the old and the new.Robmc.
Spent the morning with Chewinprickes on our deadly treadlies completing a maintenance run on the FT and KCT trails. All caches are now in good condition and ready to be found.Robmc.
Nice to see this old bridge is preserved and in fact still in use. I marvel at the workmanship in this and many similar structures. Thanks Robmc
Checked this location again today - still closed off, but the path is looking pretty good. Hopefully it will be open soon.
They are still stuffing around GZ. The actual location is not compromised, but the access is.I will keep an eye on the work.Robmc.
Construction is happening around GZ, and it is fenced off.
I will disable the cache until they are finished.

This area is closed off due to construction …the cache is temporarily inaccessible accessible
Also inaccessible from shared foot/bike path along creek leading underneath bridge/ geelong road…refer to photo
About to give up but had one last look and lady luck was smiling
Thanks for the cache

So last night I called up BackPAQer and like you do.. I said lets go find some caches...
so after some debate on which trail we would tackle we decided to FT and KCT track.
So early morning start with two scooter and BackPAQer and myself hit the trails.
Hot day for it considering it is spring.. 33C out there today..
Day started badly with two Did Not Finds in the first three...
But we ended up with 27 Finds and 7 Did Not Finds and picked up a trackable
It was a fun day out and even managed a great lunch and a pint in Yarraville to break up the day.
Thanks to RobMC for the trail. Sorry for the generic logs
Thanks for the cache and the hide
log book has been signed and returned

The cache is still accessible despite the roadworks. There is a lovely smell from the chopped anise leaves!
This location was a big nope from me. Lucky to have Cam who made the trek and signed on both of our behalf
On our first visit we turned around due to all the fencing. After reading some logs we came back and thanks to my husband we found it!
Nice and easy find, a lil awkward to get to GZ. No need to go through the temp fencing nearby. TFTC!
Funny little trail to the location but just gotta trust the GPS. Quick find TFTC! H&C
Checked on a maintenance run.
All good and ready to be found.
Work is slowly continuing on the bike path.

Not sure if the creek is ready for platypus inhabitation. Lovin' the old & new & forsaken.
I had come across to the *other side of Melbourne* to finish the **Mystery Cache Monthly Challenge** by finding the cache itself. On my way back to the Ring Road to head home, I stopped off to grab this find.
Thanks **Robmc** for putting this cache here.

Wouldn’t recommend coming to this one, we looked for ages and came across a lot of these!
Accompanied with Silence49 and Lance51. Found your cache Robmc, thank you so much for placing it.
I guess trolls don’t like visitors often, as they are very messy, smelly and have grass growing up to my hip level on the low way in! Quick grab at GZ and will try the high way out.
Out on a maintenance run today.
Cleaned out container and replaced logbook and pencil.
All ready to be found.

Just under in view of the hint with contents spread out. Box requires maintenance.
This one requires a bit of work but worth it. Biggest cache I’ve gotten in a while. SL TFTC
Great cache and a bit of swagarama. Just had to step carefully but a fun cache to find. Great tip where to park.

Came out for a metro walk given the bush conditions of late. Picking off a few caches along the way. The last of the trail for as far as I’m going today. A prickly last few metres but made it to the right spot. New looking signs warning that the underpass will be closed stating it starts Jan2019, but I suspect it was meant to say Jan 2020 (as currently open)! TFTC
TFTC Robmc. Nice touch for the final of the series, a goat in the cache container! Enjoyed the walk and your series if hides. A fav for your endeavour! Jimmytherat with Noelle04
Yeh we found the old & the new and the Goat Thanks for a great little series Robmc. Not the prettiest walk I’ve been on but lots of caches and a good walk. Appreciate your efforts here. Found with my partner in caching Jimmytherat
As we walked across the old bridge, the hide location seemed obvious but the way of getting there seemed problematic. The grass and weeds were about chest high and with the increasing warmth, we were aware of the possibility of wriggly things. So with a lot of noise and grass bashing, we gradually made our way to the hide, all 16m of it. Once there the cache was a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Robmc for the cache.
Late Log. Night out caching with Gunks. Walked along the KCT and FT picking up all the ones we could find. 13km walk, all up. Plenty of eyes watching as we walked. Second last one for the night as we made our way back to the car. TFTC
Out an about with TrailStevo last night on an evening walk, turned to a 13km round trip and around 20cache for our troubles. An interesting walk at night, through the back of the industrial state, guard dogs barking, unfortunately lots of litter and illegal dumping. In any case it got us out and put some smiley faces on the trail. There are a few cache that require some maintenance (as indicated), unfortunately some muggles have been active, and some building work and fencing denied us access to another. Thanks Robmc for the adventure.
A quick find on our 5km march back to the car.

Annoying Tarbit and I had planned a caching day which started the moment I stepped off the Spirit at the pier. AT had planned a route that started at the docks and took in both the KCT and Federation Trail, and we looked for a few caches in between there too.
This cachd hadn't been on the radar but given it was fairly close to the intersection where we had parked the car, we headed for a look to see what was here. We walked across the old bridge and I had a gut feeling where the cache might be. I took the lead and found the cache tucked away. The TB was also retrieved so I can help fulfill the next stage of its travels in June. TFTC

I picked Lost_and_found_79 up straight off the Tassie ferry for a day of caching and after heading to Webb Dock first we came over the Westgate Bridge to try the Kororoit Creek Trail, the Federation Trail and others nearby. We started at the north end and headed south along the creek. We moved the car as close as we could to the intersection of the trails and found a few in walking distance in all directions from there. We continued on the KCT series towards the south and this was the next one along the way. Even though it wasn't part of the series we decided to walk on to here. I must admit I didn't have the right idea but L&F79 twigged where it was likely to be and soon made the find. We grabbed a TB from here to move along. Our seventeenth find of 43 for the day. Left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache Robmc.
This was an actual adventure absolutely loved it really good photo opportunities nice walk don’t be scared of the weeds make sure you’re wearing grippy shoes thank you for the adventure awesome hiding spot!
Today i decided to go out in the hot sun and doing a long walk.
It was a great day with many Geocaches while a great walk on the good built path.
Thank you for the Trail!

Great container left trackable and coins for the next finder!!!! Also restocked swaps and signed log book! Don't be scared of the weeds!!!!
This place gave me the creeps. I was very pleased that the cache did not take long to find. I signed the log and got out of there.
Find #4003. Found @ 14:14
My self-appointed challenge for the year is to get 1000 finds for the year, and I've fallen behind in that. To get me closer, I took to the Federation Trail and Kororoit Creek Trail. There were storms forecast, but thankfully seemed to pass by the area, and leave me unscathed.
With the track disappearing came the puddles, and with the puddles there was mud. It wasn't too bad getting here, but the incline to get to the old bridge was a bit iffy in with the sodden ground. The cache was found in the first place I looked.
Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables.
Thanks for the cache Robmc

Fantastic spot for a decent cache. Many thanks for the history of the trail... TFTC
The ageing Bushfire decided to head to Melbourne today and do some of the KCT trail.
We have a new cacher (Flynn) in Geelong who gained his first hundred finds along this trail today and he already has a number of very good caches hidden so I decided to help him out today by offering him a trip to Melbourne.
With the bikes on the rear of the White Beast and with a tight schedule we set off on the first day of Daylight Saving to see if we could get Flynn 20 finds for another Badge Gen Badge which we succeeded in archiving.
Being an OBE (Over bloody eighty) and a fifteen year old he killed me on his MB on the hills and in general everywhere but I need the practice before the upcoming Mega as I guess I will on the MB for most of our five days at this Event. I hope my SA mates are out getting some kilometres in their legs.
A lovely day to be out doors and as we were riding the trail a fellow rider coming from the opposite direction indicated to us that a snake was sunning itself on the path ahead. They are certainly out and about as I came across a black a few days ago down Barwon Heads way.
Further along the track we avoided a great looking blue tongue lizard.
I really don't know how this guy survives as it was just sitting there for all to see.
Thanks Robmc for placing these guys.

Bushfire took me down today to this great track, hoping to get 20 finds today to pull me over 100 finds and get me a badge for BadgeGen. We took our bikes down and rode the 7km trail, it was amazing. A really nice place to cycle down and to do some caching in. It took us a bit to find 20 of them but we got there in the end! I got my 100 finds and a badge and we got to do some amazing caches, thanks for placing this trail!
We definitely saw 'The Old and the New'! The cache wasn't really hidden, saw it instantly. TFTC
