I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi wascoxThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
Came with 2 previous finders and none of us could find it. There was a suspicious lighter shade to a post where there may have been a sign but unsure about that too.
Had a look, then later NZ_B and I came back for another look. Nup.No find anything.
FapnGap and Squirel Nutcase and I have come away for the long weekend caching. No luck for us here tonight .
Had previous finder abetting me, so quick find! Nice hide, thanks again wascox
23 July 2021 19:44. Filling in time whilst waiting for Fish & chips to be cooked (they weren't worth waiting for). Found once I trusted my instincts, I'm not good at night caching! Tftc, number 9976 for me, just need 23 tomorrow to be on target!
Easy find with @peadub and a lovely pastoral view. Signed log and replaced where found. TFTC.
Staying a night in Greytown, time to go out to find some caches after tea. Thanks wascox for the cache.
Wow, almost 2 years since this one was last found! And almost gave up on it too. Very sneaky clever cache, giving it a FP
One of 12 located on a day of sightseeing/walking/exploring in the Wairarapa, with a few caches thrown in for good measure! First caches at Castlepoint, then some en route to our ‘base’ near Carterton, and a few later on in the Greytown area.
Wasn’t sure that we’d find this one, as it doesn’t appear to have been found for more than a year. Gave it a go anyway and it didn’t take long at all! Nifty hide! #2293. TFTC.

A big mission over the hill today, focusing on Skindo's A to Z and 2 from 2 series caches, but picking up others along the way.
Plenty of caches left to get in the Greytown area but I thought I'd pop down this road to get this out of the way cache. Didn't really see much of the house, but found the cache quickly enough. TFTC

Another smilie on the way toward home.
All good at GZ Thanks for another smilie
Did you know that planning has started for a Mega Event in Wellington in 2018? Check out the details on the [Wellington Event NZ (WENZ) Website](https://sites.google.com/site/wenzgeo2018/home) or visit the event's page on [FaceBook](https://www.facebook.com/groups/590545297801072/)
Thanks to the Cache Owner who has gone to the trouble of creating this cache, determining the coordinates and then averaging them to make sure they are accurate, placing the cache and registering it online for our enjoyment. Without Cache Owners doing their bit, there wouldn't be a fun hobby that we all love - so again a big THANK YOU. For our bit, all we need to do is find and log the cache that was carefully placed for our personal enjoyment. As we log it we should consider that the Cache Owner also needs to maintain it - when the log sheet fills up, they must replace it. When the container becomes full of water, they need to empty it. When the container is broken, they need to repair it. When it goes missing they need to find or replace it. Well..... the great news is we can do our bit too - make sure your log doesn't take an entire page - just a name and date. If full of water, empty and dry the cache as best as possible. Be careful when handling the cache and make sure you replace it where you found it. If it has a bag, seal it. Just remember - the Cache Owner showed respect to you by placing the cache - please respect them and fellow cachers that follow you by being careful with the cache. And if you have a spare log sheet and the cache you are at needs one, please leave it behind. Finally, if the cache does need maintenance, please let the Cache Owner know - you can log a Maintenance Log or you can drop a line to the Cache Owner. Above all - have fun and remember the Geocaching Code.

After spending most of my Christmas break in the diy, it was time to dedicate a full day to caching. The weather was looking prefect for a trip to greytown so I headed off bright and early to try and collect as many as I could.
Grabbed some lunch and then headed back out caching. Grabbed some delicious apricots to snack on in the afternoon before heading down to this cache. Quickly located the cache here. TFTC

Another quick find with TregearP whilst in Greytown for the weekend. Some interesting properties and one muggle seemed somewhat interested in what we might be doing. Gave him a cheery wave which seemed to do the trick.
All in good order, TNLNSL, TFTC.
The sixth cache of twelve visited by Susan's TB on my birthday.

Looks like more development to come in the area but the farm land and lifestyle properties seem to blend in well. A quick find although the cache has quite an inquisitive neighbor. TFTC
Out for a day around the Greytown area to catch up on quite a few caches that have sprung up in the last little while. Not too bad a day for it, and a good chance to get the mtb out on the river trail. Good to have fozzmiester along for the day too.
Things seem to have come adrift here, so it was easily spotted. The means of attachment may need some attention.

#2513. I have been on leave all week which was a good option as I have been caching away during a long run of dot days. With stunning fine weather forecast, I decided to head over to the Wairarapa to pick up a bunch of caches to get my July numbers up. Returning along Papawai Road, I thought there was a side road connecting to this cache. Must have not looked at the geocaching map that carefully. So headed back into Greytown and then out along the correct road. There were several muggles near the GZ when I arrived so had to wait a few minutes for them to leave. The cache was quickly spotted once I had the place to myself. Signed the dry log and returned the cache as found. Thanks for showing me a bit more about the history of this area.
We too were muggled by the property owner next door and he had just mown the lawns , he was very upset and almost on the point of crying not very happy that we had just driven on his freshly mown lawn.CACHES BEWARE.TFTC
A quick drive the right street and i was at GZ but unfortunatley the trees have now blocked the view of the old hotel. I was interested to see this hotel as i am going out to tinui and area next week, although i was there only a year ago and i did many of the caches out that way then. thanks for this cache and another smiley face.
Found but was muggled by a disgruntled property owner who blamed cachers for donuts and skidding on sat nights told him would not be us but he was still a grumpy man the lady with him was lovely .

Thanks for another great cache. Spotted what didn't quite belong and soon had cache in hand. Rainbow end wasn't far- maybe it's time to go find gold!
Beautiful rainbow in the sky as we approached this one. Spotted straight away neat hide. Tftc
Hubby kept biking around while I stuggled with the cache, I am hoping against hope that I didn't get muggled as I placed it back, my lookout was not very good when I turned around and saw a couple walking towards me, pretended to look at the fence / ground anything to just make them think I was strange.. I am so sorry if this gets muggled
Found with tmann421 and Just-Lookin on a sunny day of caching in the Wairarapa. TFTC
Spent the weekend in the Wairararapa collecting caches and finishing on the Sunday with a hike up to Blue Range Hutt from Kiriwhakapapa. Great weather and a great weekend where I teamed up with tmann421 and Princess-Emily. Lots of fun and enjoyed the variety of caches in the area.
A nice quick find here today.

Took the day off work to go exploring the geocaches in Greytown. Unfortunately the weather didn't play ball and the drizzle and rain made for some less than ideal geocaching. Nevermind, still had a good time and really enjoyed some very well thought out geocaches.
Final cache after a long, tiring (but very enjoyable day). By now, I was getting to know Wascox's style very well. Made for a nice straight forward find to round off the day. TFTC.

#1269 Found during a 24 hour caching raid in the Wairarapa with Nic-jay- seeing how many we could find in 24 hours. What a beautiful place and a lovely road to explore. Cache easily found, TFTC!
Found while on a 24 hour caching adventure with Skaga through parts of the Waiarapa.
Enjoyed coming up this road. TFTC

Found on our walk today, a nice Sunday afternoon. The neighbourhood was quiet. Thanks for another clever cache wascoe.
Didn't find this one as a neighbour asked what we were doing and explained but he was not a happy chappy so we stopped our search
last day of christmas break so decided to head over the hill and have a big geocaching day in the Wairarapa ahead of the Finnish Carrington Park event. Great day of caching around the back roads, and seeing parts of this area we've never been to before.

I remember visiting this establishment in it's originally location some decades ago. dissapointed not to be able to actually see the building today.
Quickly found on a great day exploring southern Wairarapa in the sun (mostly), with Tan1aNZ.

Find #1778. Needed a day of sunshine and hopefully no wind so caught the Wairarapa train from Petone with the bike and alighted at Woodside for a day's cycle-caching in Greytown - great fun .
A quick ride to the end of the road. A shame the house is no longer visible but a nice outlook anyway. SL TFTC.

Out for another quick foray into the fertile caching pastures of the Wairarapa. A quick find. Thanks for the history and TFTC
I recall being in Greytown on the day this was moved. Enjoyed a pint at the old Tinui hotel too.

Out with Pamibi and Zissas geocaching in and around Greytown. A quick and easy find -great hiding place. TFTC.
One day trip out into the Wairarapa with Buttels. Couldn't figure out where the hotel used to be. Thanks for the cache anyways...
Enjoyed the history about the hotel, it looks wonderful here. Clever cache too. Tftc
#4580. We noticed the Tinui Hotel had gone. Good to now know where it now is. Thanks for bringing us here. Nice hide. TNLNSL. TFTC.
An interesting story, especially as we have been to Tinui and have had a coffee there in what may be the building's replacement. Good to see that it's been re-used instead of demolished.
A popular area for dog walkers, we had to wait for one woman to move on, and had just got back into the car when another dog walker hove into view.
Had a great view of a perfect rainbow towards the east at GZ. TFTC.

#5901. An interesting bit of history. Quite feat to relocate all the way from Tinui. Nice hide. TFTC.
The number of times we have been through Greytown and I think this is the first time we have been out this side of the town - thanks for a reason to explore Greytown a bit more. Quick find but our gps had us 3-4metres off. TFTC
Decided to make a walk out of this one, geodog was pleased, and parked up by Main St. Quite warm and just a bit blustery, but no rain so managed to time it right between the showers we have been having today. Quick find, TFTC
Had a feed & a rest & then popped out for a few more caches before bed.

Excellent history around this area, enjoying the tour. Nicely hidden cache. TFTC
Drove to the end of the road and found the cache within seconds. Couldn't see much of the old hotel building but could see just enough to see that a very nice restoration job has been done on the outside. Had just replaced the cache when a fairly unfriendly-looking local (he didn't even respond to a greeting) came out onto the road and started purposefully sweeping leaves - by hand which would have been rather a chore given the number of them lying around. I got the impression I wasn't wanted so obliged by making my exit. Signed log, TFTC
On a caching raid in the Wairarapa, Martinborough-based.
Straightforward find, cache in order, log signed; safely re-hidden, just as found.
Another clever Wascox cache enjoyed by us.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
