A quick find now the cache has Ben replaced. A lovely drive through these hills with plenty of wildlife. Thanks for the cache.
Today I was invited along to cache with the logan gang of roddyc, hatzofff, imbunda and ring in, echocage1. The plan today was to drive out west ways and clean up a couple of caches for maintenance and collect a few caches as well. This cosmic challenge has gotten people out about and all for a couple of souveniers. It was a fun day and although I already had half the caches on the list today, I still had an enjoyable time and got in a few laughs. A good company group to cache with.We headed along a trail of caches and into the hills and some awesome views. There were a few along this trail and the Pharaoh's were watching out for us.The logs were signed and the caches were replaced as found, thanks for the caches in this area.
Today was a trip up in the Lockyer Valley with RoddyC, Hatzofff, chamad and Echocage1 to gain a few Smilies and also earn some points for Cosmic Quest.Soon had the cache, log signed before replacing as found. It sure was a beautiful day . TFTC
OCW hatzofff, RoddyC, Imbunda, and Chamad in the Lockyer Valley today.Cattle grid ripped out. We replaced, hint now S.P.O.R.TFTC
With hatzofff, imbunda, echocage1 and chamad for a pleasant Sunday caching around the Lockyer Valley. My name is now in the Log book. SPOR.Log signed and cache replaced as found at 2:04 PM on August 4, 2024. TFTC, Tonned.
Out with RoddyC chamad echocage1and imbunda to pick up a few smiles out of town.Nice trip out and about.TFTCache Tonned
Had some free time today, so ventured out to do a spot of caching. Arrived at the GZ and commenced my search but no joy for me today. The cattle grid is no longer there. I dont know if it has been fully removed or just filled in. Hopefully its just a case of cache blindness. Next time Im in the area, Ill have another go and hopefully turn this DNF into a .
Storm clouds were rolling in so did not have an extended search but could not find in likely spots.
Decided a trip to Egypt was in order today, as we were staying close by (Elphinstone) Downloaded 11 caches as I knew we would probably be out of range for most of the day. What a abeautiful drive through the hills, but I would not like to have been Gorman and his band of intrepid travellers....Great place for coffee and cache. John poured the coffee while I signed the cacheThank Tonned
This has definitely been dug up. I took the trackable. Thanks for the cache Tonned
I hadn’t even got out of the car before geohubby found this one. Awesome views. Tftc
Found while staying at murphys creek escape for the holidays. Enjoying the countryside and scenic outlooks!
Dropped off TB Minty to continue his adventures!

How is a log wet when it is double bagged? Container is a bit muddy too. Otherwise all in good order.

Can confirm it's still there. It was very buried.
I didn't mind kicking the dirt out with my old work boots. I left it in a less buried state.

Fairly quick find Lots of red dust and some water leakage has made it a little muddy inside lol Log is safe though.

Needed to dig it out a bit and GPS was a little off, but East find none the less.

I managed to locate this one but Muggle Hubby retrieved it for me as I was far too busy taking photos. You are right, there are great views from this spot, just as the scenery all the way up here is superb.
Thanks for bringing us here to enjoy it, via geocaching.

Found at 2:16 PM GAFF1.
We weren't expecting to find the cache in that spot as we thought it would get too wet when the drains filled, however it was found to be nice and dry on the inside - a bit muddy on the outside though.
Thanks Tonned

After a rainy day yesterday it was time to get out and find a few caches. After the GPS settled down, found the container in the dirt, dug it out, stamped log and replaced. Thanks to Tonned
TFTC,
We have had a couple off rain days and it was great to get out. We decided to go for a drive and take in the valley views.
Nana found it and doug it out. Surprised contents was dry.

Now we can say we've been to Egypt!!
Took the geopup for a drive and found some great views along this road. The log book was too wet for us to sign today and we didn't have a replacement with us. Thanks for the cache Tonned

We parked up and all spread out to hunt, zeroing in on gz and then spotting a telltale attachment. The cache was in hand shortly after and we were adding our names to the log. Tftc Tonned
Our mini break in Woomba Woomba over we are making our way down the range on the road less traveled.

A perfect Spring day for another drive around the countryside while at Toowoomba.
Hardly any muggles around and mostly good safe hides.
Thanks for the cache Tonned,

Heading to an event today, I figured it was a good day to take a detour and find some caches, including this one! Thanks for placing it here.
Had to bring a friend to Gatton to see her sister, so I had the choice of either listening to the two of them 'cackling' to each other all day, or take my geodog Scruffy out caching ... ummm ... 'What to do ??'

I have so Many questions popping into my head after doing the Egypt run...when am I going to the other Egypt? Can I go snorkeling in the Nile? How does someone come up with a caching name like tonned? Am I going in the right direction? How does Ms Maddys car get up this road so easily? Fab day when I am on my wanderlust with friends tftc
A fab Friday out west and pleasant weather to boot
It only took me five or so years to get here and quite excited to visit Egypt as was the delightful Miss Direction when I suggested this trail A fab Friday out west and pleasant weather to boot Sneaky hide!

Out and about on an afternoon geocaching mission discovering more of the toowoomba area as I have only just moved here, my amazing Geo-Wife KaleidoscopeCass is a local so knows these areas well.. geocaching certainly is a good way to explore!
Had a case of cache blindness on this one. I glanced at the obvious place but then headed looking in the wrong directions. Geohubby WallabyTim to the rescue, getting behind the beautiful spider's web "guardian" to reach the cache as I was too chicken to stick my hand in there! TFTC
Clever way to hide a cache. Our GPS was a bit out but our phones are always a little dodgy in the bush. TFTC
We are nomads. Having left Perth WA in February 2014 we now live in our caravan and go wherever the will or caches take us.
Currently staying at Laidley today we decided to head out for a drive in the surrounding area. Got a little sidetracked and strayed further than we had loaded into the GPSr. Luckily we had GSAK with us and were able to grab coords for caches offline. Phew.

This was our 4th to find in this series and it was a beautiful drive . Seen a goat , lots of cows and a dingo . A kangaroo just jumped out in front of our car and missed us by inches. Lucky we were driving slowly. Thanks to the hint we found the cache quickly.
Looked in a few wrong places before getting to the cache itself. Log signed and cache replaced in it's hide. All in good condition here. Cheers and TFTC
Out doing a little bit of MTB riding around the back blocks of Ma Ma Creek and collected these caches on the home run. There are some tough little climbs ( well big climbs) in this ride. Stopping for caches provide a few much-needed breaks
We parked the cars right beside Pharaoh's Trail 1 and looped southwards and then back of Little Egypt to return to the start.
I suspect I’m the first person to complete the series ( well what is left) by mountain bike. . 56 km round trip over 1000 m elevation gain

No entry sign had us wondering, but when 2 cars passed us we figured the sign was in reference to the surrounding land. Cache hidden out of sight well. Picked up tb to move on. Tftc xo
Found this one on a happy day caching in NSW with joojoo57 and finally logged. Tablet won't let me insert date which was 5 August 2016.
**Smilie #4555**
Out chasing smilies in the shadow of the Toowoomba Ranges.
A super quick park & grab.
The butterflies are getting even more numerous the higher we get.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

I was out camping in the shed last night, and took a stroll over to this cache this morning to do a quick check on it. Not my cache but the CO knows I watch over it
A couple of wallaby's happily eating grass as I walked over, but they saw me and took off. The resident pair of magpies where looking around for insects to eat. Lots of butterflies around today
All is good with this cache. There is a TB in there, but I just "discovered" it rather than moving it on, so it is still there for the next visitor up here to find and move on if they choose
Happy caching everyone

Out and about for a drive to find the remaining Pharaoh caches that I have not found.
A quick find here.
Left a TB.
Thanks for the cache.

Great hide. Watched a huge family of wallabies leaping down the hill as we searched.
Did this drive a while back and this one was the only dnf. Tha ks for replacing the cache and i am glad we drove back this way reminded us how pretty it is here.
On our way back from Stanthorpe and thought we would drive a road less travelled. Great scenery the entire drive from Clifton to Gatton.
Thought we would give this trail a go! What a climb and the change in scenery, vegetation and road conditions kept us interested the whole way.

Visiting the area with geo friends to grab a few caches, left my little car near the highway as I didn't think it would make the journey on the dirt road and hitched a ride with joojoo57. All finds were enjoyable with beautiful scenery in some places. Thanks Tonned for all the good hides and TFTC
Nice easy find for the 6th on the Lockyer Run with the RichardsClan. Gorgeous country on a beautiful winters day. Took gems, left mini figurines. TFTC. 4th to find!
Out for a day of caching with Gullivers Travels54 and we had many great finds and saw many great places. Thank you to all the CO's for the caches. Tftc
Dug it out. Container damaged so replaced with temporary container (our teabag jar!) until I can bring out a new sistema. A new (dry) log has been placed in temp' container. We go camping in the shed on the property next to this cache. I have emailed CO but no reply as yet? I will rig something up at home to slide the sistema into and attach higher so this cache will avoid getting swamped in heavy rains again. This adjustment will have to wait until next time we come out camping though. TFTC.
Has to be a dnf for this one. After a thorough search saw a few places it could have been including a huge hole it should have been. No luck today.
We continued on our drive down East Egypt Road, past some nice scenery and soon the phone was saying we were nearing GZ. Hmmmmmm, where to look? Might check the hint...really, I need to look there? Geohubby kept watch while I poked and prodded and soon I had a cache in my hand. Well that was a little tricky! I signed the log, replaced the cache and it was off to find another Pharaoh. Found after reading the previous logs and got a further hint from there.

we nearly gave up but since it has been 6 months since the last log we realised it might be hidden by dust. TFTC
Mrs CacheThief's turn to find this one. I was taken astray by a few worn paths, but once I found GZ it was an easy find.
