In the words of Steve ... Gobsmacked.
That truly just about says it all, we were gobsmacked when we had heard that we had some of our Geocaches were up for nomination. Totally Gobsmacked when Team Frarog let us know how the day had gone, well he let team Cruiser95 know to start with. Team Cruiser95 from the Mount arrived at our house and would not tell me any news until Steve was home, but they had an excited look in their eyes.
When Steve arrived home they pulled out a LIST! I think our chins were on the floor as it was read out, our Geocaches are not found very often at all, we didnt think they had a chance. All this for doing something we love.
Thankyou so much to the Organisers and we will hope to make it to next years event. Also thankyou for making it a nice day for Team Frarog, sounds like he had a blast, and loved some special hugs he received from Skippy he will still be in Adelaide for 3 weeks during his cancer treatment and we cant wait to have him home again.
Cheers from the Mount.

Big congrats to all the winners! Was shame the chillicrew could not get there to celebrate SA's best. Love the SAGA!
My apologies for the late log, I attended with Josie and enjoyed another great event put on by a dedicated group of the geocaching community. Congratulations to all the winners and thanks another memorable event.
After last years event we couldn't miss this one it always is a great day out and you find out all the best caches around to try. Started out with a quick bite to eat (Thanks for the sausages) then followed by the awards. Was a great variety of winners and from all over not just in the city so shows there some great caches outside the city limits as well. And was amazed to actually win "Geocache Hider Of The Year" I thought with the people who were up for it I didn't stand a chance so a big thanks to all those who like my caches enough to nominate & vote for them it makes it all worth while to read all the great logs when they come in.
Thanks to Skippy,Semic, *Cache_or_Check*, Flipper&Co and anyone else involved in the Awards it was a great day.
This Marks my 3800th cache find not to long till the big 4000.

I attended the South Australian Geocaching Awards as last year I had so much fun watching and celebrating people's awesome caches.
This year, I was fortunate enough to recive silver for the micro cache hide category and was thrilled that some cachers had obviously enjoyed the cache so much that they voted for it
Thank you!
Muggle partner, and cache creator, Marcus also attended despite being sick.
Thank you to the organisers who put in so much effort to run this show for the rest of us to enjoy! [^]
ps we had fun searching in random places for Sneaky's hidden cache prize, too, however 'don't trust his coords'

Thanks to the organisers for their hard work and congrats to all the winners.
Well... we were there... as attested by the presenting skills (not) of Mrs. Flipper... Mark hid behind the camera this year while Sef warmed up to carry on the tradition for the next SAGA awards.
congrats to all the winners, hope more folks will take part in the coming years, SA has a lot to attract cachers from all over Australia and around the world to see and do here. Keep up the good work.
cheers

Very nice park and a nice turnout for the Awards.
Congratulations to all the award winners, and thanks for all your time and effort you put into your hides!
Always nice to put names and faces to geocaching names - nice to meet Team Wibble, and M-Sez.
Also nice to catch up with other people I have met from other caching events.

I was glad I attended. Having been affected by the lurgy... I wasn't sure I was up to two events in one day. Decided to come along rug up and sit and enjoy the awards, while enjoying a glass of red. Did wonders chatting with some friends, some fresh air, sunshine and and some laughs....make me feel better just being out.
Thanks to The organizing team all their hard work and putting on a great event... well done!

Congrats to everyone, the Organisers, those Nominated and of course the Award Winners. Good turn out, and thanks for the snags, YUM, they hit the spot after missing out on pancakes in the morning....
I knew there'd be pathtags but not that many! But I guess that's to be expected when Mrs Flipper is involved! Well done to Dazzatron for taking out the main prize (and all his other wins!), certainly well deserved! The only disappointment of the day was the lack of puzzle cache winners... Anyhow, great way to finish one great weekend!

Great to see reward for effort to those cachers who made the sport/hobby what it is. Big congrats to Dazzatron, Wibbles and Squeaky on their podium awards for GC Hider of the Year. Well done to the MC group as well. Support LL's comments re puzzle caches though. Maybe a toughest retrieval or most 'dangerous' puzzle cache award?? Thanks to all involved.
Had a great time today! A big thanks to all the organisers and congrats to the many winners. A special "well done" to Dazzatron and Team Wibble for taking out the two major awards.
A great event!! Thanks to the organising committee for all of your work today and in the leadup to these awards!! Nice to see so many new faces making their way to this event!!!
Wow 2 events in 1 day. Another Pathtag to add too the collection, this might be addicting, not that I need tell anyone that. lol
Met some more, and some 'old' friends from the morning event Got to talk to some at greater length, which was great, the Sausage sizzle was good, a thank you to the cooks for a job well done.
The awards part was split into 2 sections, as the 1st 1/2 came to an end it was announced that SneakySqueaky had placed a cache in the area for the event, and the first to find it got to keep the cache container for them to use, well I see his GC name is well deserved, the camo was exceptional. The winner was, or so I heard, got the last 2 digits messed up on one of the co-ords, which as it turns out was the correct co-ords as they were announced wrong. Oops
In all a great afternoon was had by all. Thanks Skippy for the help. And thanks to the organizers for the event.

Owl arrived a little late after Red Shield Appeal collecting, enjoyed the festivities, congratulated the winners, swapped some pathtags and TBs, met some new people, failed to find a Sneaky cache (only due to bad coordinates – she would have managed it otherwise, really, truly), kept trying to leave to find a cache, but ended up being one of the last to leave – as usual! Thanks for a great afternoon.
After just 1 more cache we arrived just in time to hear the start of the proceedings. Thanks to anyone who voted for A cache is a cache is a cache is a cache. This year Whereigos. Next year the world. A seriously big thank you to the organizers on a well run event.
After the fantastic morning event wound up we found ourselves arriving here for more fun and food!! Thanks to all who organized the afternoon, well done. Congratulations to all the winners. Well deserved. Interesting little park in what is quite a busy area. Enjoyed the afternoon, thanks Skippy and everyone else involved. TFTC
We are now Logging this as our 1,500th today it has taken a long time to reach this fine number, but even better to celebrate this on the day of the caching Awards. We would also like to congratulate Dazzatron, Squeaky and Team Wibble and everyone else who won awards today. We look forward to finding more of your caches. We had a enjoyable day and also great to catch up with old and new caching friends, having great conversations. Geodaughter Amy laying around under Bench a bench seat having a Nap or was she? We seem to find her lying around in strange places lately, but she did have a few on lookers surounding her! But Thanks for a great afternoon and Thanks For the Event.
Thanks team for organising this event and congratulations to all the award winners. It was great meeting some fellow cachers for the first time aswell as catching up with others I have previously met. Thanks for the great day.

After a big night at the Firefighters Ball and the early morning Pancake Event I was feeling a teeny tiny bit tired by the time we arrived! Such a lovely park and I enjoyed exploring and discovering the sculptures with Miss Mac on the other side of the bridge. Fun playground and a nice chat with a few faces I hadn't seen earlier in the day. Lazed around in the sunshine for a bit before heading off early to the Ice Arena Congratulations to all the Award winners and a big thanks to the organizers for a great afternoon. Cheers from PG
A big congratulations to all the winners in this year’s SAGA, especially to Dazzatron for taking out the inaugural Hider of the year award and Team Wibbles for their gold medal in the ‘Best Overall cache of the year’.
I hope everybody had an enjoyable afternoon (despite the dribble from my mouth you had to put up with) and I hope that everybody feels inspired to put out even better caches, so maybe they can be the recipients of one of those great awards next year.
A special big thanks to Gayle, Mark, Audra and Skippy for their fantastic efforts in making the event a success. The certificates and path tags were amazing!
See you all next year

Managed to get to this one on time despite all our cross-town travels with kid's event and bbq in tow!
Thanks to all the organisers and a big WOOT to the winners, well deserved!
Thanks for the snags and pathtags. Unfortunately had to leave a lil early to pick up a geokid.
Well done, and thanks for organising the excellent weather also.
Till next year....

Our first SAGA event, what a great day. Nice to put some more faces to names and chat with old friends too. Thanks to the committee for all of the effort and organisation that went into hosting this fantastic event, and the pathtag we received for signing the log. We were especially pleased
about winning an award too!
Thanks also to everyone in the community who hid caches in 2012 for making such an event possible. Congratulations to all of the nominees and award recipients, and thanks for the creativity and extra effort put into your hides. There were some very worthy winners, and hopefully we can get around and find more of the winning caches that we haven't been able to get to as yet.

Big thank you to the entire SAGA organisers for a great event. It would seem I have quite a few caches to catch up on as many in the list I have not yet attempted . Nice to meet a few new cachers, and congratulations to all those whom placed in the awards.
Thanks to the organising committee for putting on this great event. It was great to see the diversity of SA caching c elebrated with many award winners representing numerous regions.
What a great day... The organisers deserve a big pat on the back as it takes a lot of time and effort to get this to work properly... Sef wasn't only good on the mike but he cooks a means sausage and onion too.. Not to forget Skippy either...
Congrats to all the winners and was great to see widespread recipitents from all over the state.. It can only get bigger and better next year...

Really enjoyed the chance to sit down and reminisce about (or feel inspired to go find) so many caches from SA. Many thanks for the mad organizing skillz of the organisers, their generosity in pathtags, ammo cans and gold stars, their MC skills and amusing log interludes.
We were happy to be nominated for some awards and quite surprised to win some, as our caches don't get many finders - so we are very humbled. With such a positive celebration of caching in SA it was sad to see a little bit of negativity but the overall positive reactions to the awards was overwhelming.
We now want to make a couple of caching trips - to Yorke Peninsula and Mt Gambier especially - and find the caches that won so many awards.
Onwards to next year, and the new crop of fantastic caches it will bring!

Mrs frog was happy she was well enough to travel and catch up with friends which cheered her up no end even if the last half of the awards ceremony was spent listening from the car. Congratulations to all the winners and to all the hiders without your imagination we would not have our daily challenge. Thanks to the hosts who put all the effort into running the awards TFTE
A great day, thank to the organising crew for making it a terrific day .Congratulations to all the award winners ,and a special congrat to Dazza.Great to meet some new cachers and to catch up with some old aquaintances. All in all a great day. Thanks again.
Was told to attend.

look out 2014.

Although it was geobaby's birthday, I'd managed to get a pass out for the delicious pancake brekky and was then able to head around the corner to attend the awards too [^]
I was shocked to find out that a cache of mine had been nominated!
It was something local that I had placed with my own geokid in mind, which I was also able to use to tick off a creative & outdoor activity for my studies
Figuring there were no way I could compete with the big guns of SA caching, I was stoked (albeit surprised) to receive a joint silver placing wow!!
I am pleases that other local cachers enjoyed this cache too!
Thank you to everyone who had voted for it
Congratulations to all of the nominees and award winners and thanks for placing so many great caches for us all to enjoy.
The event organizers have done a fab job once again! Everything ran smoothly, and the hot sausages were delish too! [^]
Thanks to Skippy, Semik, Flippers and CorC for a great day!
Thank you for the gorgeous little pathtags too, Gayle!

Owl thinks she can attend - these things are always subject to change when you have a family of birds involved.
Nice and close to home, and a great park for an event too!
We should be there, full of pancakes. Might have to find a few more of the nominated caches before we vote.

YES!!!!!!! Totally going to this event! We've never been to one before. Really looking forward to it.
At this stage there is no reason for not to being able to go, specially since we will be in Adelaide already for other reasons.
Interesting location. I can see that there might be a couple of visits to The Shadowlands.
