I have heard on the grape vine that the maintenance works are now complete in this area. I will get down there this week and check on the cache.
Disabled until the works in the park which fence off the memorial are completed.
Worked this one out a while ago in the pouring rain and the geo kids had had enough caching by that stage not to let me get the log.
Came back today to find the area for the coordinates fenced off and under construction:(
Still managed to get all the info I needed whist I was here last time and the cache is safe and dry, and FULL!

Just a heads up that the memorial is under renovation, may need to check that the clues are accurate once works are complete.
Unfortunately, the memorial is being renovated and fenced off, thought we got the clues but co-ords led us off on a bit of a trek, logging as a didn't find and a needs maint only so the owner is aware of any changes, great place to visit and reflect otherwise.
Was in the park today and it appears that the entire plaque area has been temporarily fenced off.
Found tonight after several prior fails, much pondering over the clues, and then it was in the first place I looked about 18 months ago. Tftc. log is full
Wow, did we make that one hard! After the nearby event sharkiefan and I decided to do some local caches. This was one. Determining the numbers was a bit difficult and we counted more soldiers than we needed to in the end, but once arriving at an unlikely location we re-evaluated our results and bang, there was the find.
Loved the placement of the cache and enjoyed the adventure. BTW log is full, needs to be replaced.
Having frequented this place many times I had meant to get back for caching. School holidays make this quite a busy place but GZ was relatively secluded. Signed and returned just before maintenance crews arrived to mow.
Our first nano cache! Great clues (but poles are brown). Took two attempts to find cos I didn't realize it was so small. But kids love this park so the more time here the better.
Found @ 12:30am, find # 3185.
Another night of caching with biggles1024, finding a good assortment of cache types.
I saw this one on the map and thought that it may be an interesting cache to find so we headed over to it.
We arrived in the car park and then headed over to the memorial and had a good look around to gather the information needed to get us to the final GZ. All was good and we had calculated our GZ, we then headed over there but we were about thirty metres from our target we noticed a guy with a push bike heading our way, we slowed down and so did he, we moved again and so did he, I was beginning to wonder what is this guy doing and why he was following from a short distance. Eventually we made it to GZ and started searching with our eyes, the guy then came down the hill and walked right between us, after a couple more minutes we found out he was playing Ingress and then a minute later he was gone. We then got back to finding this cache which took a little while, we were looking so close to it without seeing it as it was nicely covered.
Thanks to Jacimarble for placing this cache.

Find #1126
My weekly caching run with Stemicmitsar was brought forward a day due to the Easter break and so we hit the trail with some specific goals in mind.
This was a fantastic cache. I would like to return during the day to see this park in all it's glory. Night time or rather very early in the morning was good however as it ensured we had the park to ourselves until we neared GZ.
We collected the information we sought from a very well laid out memorial and then proceeded to GZ. We noticed a bloke on a bicycle heading towards us but he kept stopping to consult either a GPSr or a phone. When he got to our location it turned out that he was playing Ingress. He guessed that either we were doing the same or geocaching.
He went on his way and the cache was found very soon after.
Thanks for bringing me here. A favourite point from me.

Just love this park, it is so well maintained and so much to offer.
Its good to stop and reflect on our past and give thanks
I found these clues very unclear, the nurse I found in the large WW11 plaque and none in the WW1 large one. I tried to count the smaller tiles but it did not tally. the relocation numbers were both double digets. I have to give it a miss in the end
Love your thyme Jacimarble

One of the great things about my job is the kms travelled each day, along with small amounts of down time between jobs. All this allows for caching opportunities all across town, nearly every day.
Three finds today, Werribee, Ferntree Gully & Mornington.
This is a nice, straight forward multi, once you work out how the numbers fit together.
GZ was found easily in an expected location.
(Not too sure about the reference to a Zap lighter by last "finder".)
Took noting, left nothing, signed the log. No#435 @ 13:39
Thank you for placing this cache. Our 5th Jacimarble cache.

Spent a faor amount of time looking. Then again, I may have gotten the clues wrongband thus the coordinates.
Thanks for the cache but my son and I had 2 trys at finding it and we spent about 10 minutes on our second try to find the cache
Found with nirgalagrin... now I have my own account.

Found at the tail-end of the Cup day event that was held nearby.
I was a good boy, and turned toward the monument and did the calculations rather than just follow the crowd... and caught up with them all while they gasbagged after the cache's return. With not many places to check, the log was in hand and signed with dispatch, and our day in the park was almost over. Thanks, Jacimarble.

Somehow I made a mess out of this cache. I confirmed with attendees at the nearby event that mt calculated GZ was way off, but headed to where they described to me it was meant to be. At GZ I was handed the log book by others who had just signed it. TFTC, in a lovely park!
We were at GJMelb's Cup day event and as the case with a lot of events if you see a group of geocachers heading off in the same direction it's always a good idea to jump in and follow along as it usually reaps rewards and this is exactly how we found his cache but then after signing the log we did go back to the curved wall to collect the information for our own records.
Many thanks Jacimarble for the cache.
Many thanks Jacimarble for the cache.
We found this cache today at 3:30pm as the of 2nd of 8 for the day. Enjoyed the obligatory walk around the park with the group to find the multi. Kept meaning to do this cache as I pass it often on the way home from work but it was much better with the group. Thanks D, HA, K, H & A B-A.
Found with a bunch of other people at today's Melbourne Cup day event. I did work out the correct co-ordinates myself but someone had already turned up the little cache when we got there. This is a great park and we will be bringing the kids back. Thanks.
Found with LouiseAnn during today's 50 reasons Cup Day event in the park, despite the best efforts of a muggle family to deprive us one of the clues to solve the puzzle! We gathered the remaining information though, plugged in a couple of possible answers for the missing number and headed over to GZ where we bumped into another caching crew. After some searching, the cache was found loose (possibly disconnected as we found the remains of a cable tie nearby). As I was trying to repack the cache log the marauding hordes of other cachers came over the hill drawn by the scent of a fresh find and they unfortunately spotted the cache before I could sneak it back into it's hiding place. I was lucky to get away alive! TFTC, my #1850th GC.com find (for what it's worth)
Worked out the co-ord's while at the event in the park today. Headed off with a couple of other caching teams and found the cache no problems, as it was already being signed by even more cachers. Passed the log around and signed it with several others. Thanks Jacimarble for the cache and for highlighting the memorial.
We found this cache whilst attending the Melbourne cup cache event and I may have had a clue or two on this one it was still a fun cache to find. we have been to the playground a few times before for events and caches and it seems to be getting better with each visit.
Our thanks to Jacimarble for the cache, the log book is fine and the coordinates were spot on making it an easy find.

A nice memorial but as I was about to do this cache today it became a matter of following the crowd. Still, it was fun, thanks Jacimarble.
Found by Mary & David at 1620. Joined up with the group from the Cup Day Event to track this one down. Once we arrived at GZ it was a case of many eyes make quick find. This is a great park, and on a fine and warm Cup Day it was extremely popular with a lot of cachers, and many more muggles. Our thanks to Jacimarble.
Quiet1_au and I headed off to pick this cache up half way trough GJMMelb's event. We collected the clues, despite a family having camped out on WW1. On arrival at GZ we met Manatunga3. Together we hunted around 6m away from where the GPS was pointing, but the only logical place a cache could be. I eventually found a bit of a cable tie and we were all a bit pessimistic of finding the cache, but Quiet1_au eventually came up with the goods. We all signing the log at around 3:08pm, when the large group of cachers behind us came over the hill. We didn't have enough time to rehide the cache so they could also enjoy hunting around like we had.
Found during the MORE than 50 reasons to cache event.
Lots of counting and arguments about this and that but the cache was soon in hand.
Easy find when you hang around with all the right people!

Found while attending the Melbourne Cup Day event. It was a beautiful day for a walk in the park and a cache. Thanks for the hide.
Finally found this one with the help of all the great people at the geocaching event today
Wandered over this way with gmj 3191 while attending today’s GJMMelb’s Cup Day Event. We collected the required numbers and wandered to our GZ. On the way the Chief was distracted by a PAF on one of our caches so wasn’t really helping to search initially. Turns out we needed him! He found it as soon as he got off the phone. Signed the log and returned to the festivities. TFTC

There was a crowd from the event collecting info at the listed coords so I joined in collecting the clues. I got most of the way through when the rest left for gz so I followed. At gz the cache was pre-found so I signed the log and it got replaced.
Thanks Jacimarble for the cache. I like the memorial.

During the event, Earthbound Chief, 99 and myself slipped off to tackle this multi.
The clues were assembled between the three of us, with just a tiny bit of ambiguity or trickiness dealt with decisively by the Chief to enable us to come up with a proposed location.
We walked off through the park and made our way to a likely looking area which was reasonably quiet and muggle free.
After a few minutes looking around and a sly modification to the GZ coordinates by myself as a precautionary check, the Chief came up with the goods precisely where we had started looking.
After signing the log, the cache was replaced and we returned to the fray as though nothing had happened, just in time to have a few more chats and be present for the prize draw.
Thanks Jacimarble.

Found whilst at today's Melbourne Cup cache event. The first digit had us thinking but using logic to figure out which one would give the required "short walk" from the memorial we quickly homed in on GZ.
A short hunt later (and in unison with LouiseAnn and Quiet1 who arrived at GZ when we were being inconspicuous for passing muggles by doing a word search), the cache was found and signed.

Streak: 80 days
Out this morning for a quick find to continue the streak. Didnt have much time today due to a family birthday party. Gathered what I thought was the numbers but ended up in an ilogical place. Ended up resorting to messaging a friend and took the short walk and after a thorough search, the cache was found.
Thanks to Jacimarble for the cache.

Out and about scouting possible locations for our Cup Day event and we decided on this park so we did the caches here. Haha... We saw that 1st birthday mentioned by the previous logger!
The first question tricked us for a while because there are 2 plaques with World war 1 on them on the Circular wall and we found the second one first and the next Nurse was almost 30 tiles away lol However we worked out this couldn't be right so kept looking Cache was found after looking at the clue

Very impressed with the area in which the clues were.
There has been a lot of effort in creating a place where
everyone is catered for.
Found this one while celebrating the 1st Birthday of our
great nephew Ryan.
Beautiful place made even better with family and friends.
The cache is in good condition.

Hunted around a bit in an area our waypoint took us to as per the clues (which we think we answered correctly) but unable to find. Will have to try again another day

I met up with Dunko to continue the August hunt during lunchtime today. We both enjoyed seeking the hide as fast as we could. Cache and log found in good condition. Thanks for the cache SL.
Out with geodaughter today working out some clues. Wasn't sure about the Nurse question but after a couple of tries found a likely spot. Searched for a while and totally missed it. Came back later after checking some numbers and we were in the right spot, just didn't look well enough. TFTC.
will have to try again, spent 30 mins, believe we are in the right place, will try again with better GPS though, did come away smelling beautifully of rosemary, now just need the roast lamb
Went looking for this geo cache with my girl guides group. There were about 10 of us thoroughly searching the area and we could not find it. May have met its match with a rubbish bin.
Found @1840 #3015
Had attempted this one previously and knew by gut feeling that I had the correct coordinates, however the hide had still eluded me. Well tonight while on the hunt team up with Shogun who was also on the hunt too. Wow!! not sure how I missed it the first time, but I can see reasons why... Sweet hide and a great multi in this type of park. There have been a few caches in this park over the past 3 years, but none seem to lasted very long. I reckon this one will. TFTC Jacimarble

After working out the Add Waypoint feature on the mobile app (thanks nanton34), I am now able to do multis...so I thought I would grab one nearby on a windy Melbourne morning. Out for the weekly Tuesday night run with Whyt Knight tonight we aimed to focus on some puzzle and multis close to home. This was the first for the night meeting here we quickly set about working out the co-ords. I still remember this memorial being unveiled. Once the info was gathered it was a quick walk an a cautious search before Whyt Knight found it although not quite what he thought TFTC

I had an hour to kill with the geo daughters between their Saturday basketball matches nearby. So checked the map for a cache, and this one did the job. Getting the numbers wasn't too hard for them, then a pleasant walk. It took geo-Dad's fine geo-senses to come up with the goods, though, when the smartphone had me in a different place than we should have been. Oh all right, I read the hint:-) Without my geosack I lacked the necessary toolage to extract the log, but found something organic nearby to serve the purpose. Once signed and replaced, we were on our way to the second match, which was won in a canter. Thanks again Jacimarble!

OUt with Scotttiew to get this one after we tried one nite without a proper torch, much better in the daytime. Lots of muggles but no one cared what we were up to. TFTC
It's always good fun to have a little multi in the suburbs, makes for some variation from the typical trad. And this one was no exception.
I got a little bit stuck with some of the numbers, eventually took a punt, which took me not far away, but it was definitely not a spot for a cache. I went back to the starting spot, and tried again. And then I noticed something I hadn't seen before! Which made all of the numbers line up a bit nicer. With the new coordinates in hand, I wandered off to what I hoped was GZ.
Had to wait for a little old lady and her poodle to wander off, then quickly spotted a little something that looked out of place. Had a closer look, and promptly had the cache in hand. Triumphantly signed the log, and replaced carefully.
Thanks for the cache!

This cache was found during a Monday night cache run with Blacklegend, Trailrunning and Rebel Acts (TDC). The weather outlook for the night was not good but although it was bitterly cold the rain did hold off for us. After finding a few city metro caches we headed north of the city for a bit of rural caching, making our way through Broadford, Kilmore and Romsey. We had a fun night with a nice variety of cache hides found. Thanks for the cache.
Found on a TDC run, lots of laughs and good times had while out finding caches. Thanks Jacimarble for the cache.
Found out and about on another TDC caching night. Not a huge amount of finds for me for the night, I had cached in the area before, and the others needed to clean a lot out, so all was good. Had a great night. My appologies for the late logs and generic logs, have had sick kids and in the process of trying to move house. Thanks to all the cache owners for their cache placements. Much appreciated. TFTC.
The Demolition Crew headed north of Melbourne on what we thought was going to be a wet and cold night. Luckily the rain stayed away but it was freezing. The areas visited included Wallen, Strath Creek, Broadford, Kilmore, Lancefield, Romsey, Kerrie and Clarkfield. It was a great night for a drive in these area, as we caught up on this weeks gaching news. A big thank you to all the cache owners who have placed and maintained these caches.

The instructions were a little hazy we thought on this cache. There were brown poles not red, and the term plaques on the circular wall could have meant anything. After a little number crunching on some possibilities we narrowed it down to one spot and walked over to make the find quickly.

What better day than ANZAC day to do this cache and reflect. Good to see lots of families and kids in the park today.
Love the ducks wandering around. Brought TB "Peace for the World" for a visit. Did need a little help to locate cache. TFTC
On the way home from work and on the hunt again.
My first decode of the GZ had me way too far south and so I did a double check and came up with a much more realistic location. A short walk and sat to sign the log whilst watching the world drive by.
TFTC Jacimarble.

Saw this new cache nearby and headed out. I had been to this park a few times but had not noticed the tiles before. Thanks for bringing them to my attention. Being colour blind along with rain and night time, it was a challenge to find red poles. I think I counted green ones. Also unsure about B but made my way to GZ and found the cache quite easily. Thanks for the cache Jacimarble.
*FTF* joint with C@H and AliJ..
We were here for an alternative location based game..
Good timing and a combined effort to piece this one together..
Team work, and lots of laughs and whatever else makes for a great Totally Devious Conundrum..
Thanks Jaci.. Great Cache and a park I often visit for no particular reason (farming) to walk laps (usually 4).. Curious??
