Logs
The cache was located in the car park of the local hot rod club, it now looks like they no longer want others to see the displays that they have there so I am archiving the cache.
Here today for the Fryers series back to base. Start late via Taradale and Chewton before Fryers Ridge Track. Found myself looking all around an old Furphy until local came up to warn me I was on private land this side of the road. So had no choice but to hot foot it off the property. Now read another log mentioning this issue. Can CO advise otherwise else archive!
Another good find while driving around the area.
*Thanks for showing me some interesting locations.*
Nice area and good old relic with the cache.
Log really quite wet after the recent rain.

Yay!! 11yr old has the eagle eyes. We honed in and she found it. 2nd cache found. Log is a bit damp - might need extra water-proofing!
TFTC Keeper of Time. Great location for a cache. Found on a cold, wet day in Chewton. Jimmytherat.
On a geocaching trip with my geo sister Kazba. I went looking in all the wrong places whilst she honed in on the cache like a GPS wielding genius. Just loved the views across the fields.
This was my third cache for the day whilst on a geocaching adventure from Bendigo with my sister Meekmink. Was disappointed that there was, in fact, no hot looking guy here named Rod - but we did find the cache!! Thank you for bringing us here Keeper of Time

We were hot after the lengthy search for this one. Could not quite see the connection with the title and the hide here. Sorry, it has been a long day. SL at 5.05pm #3423 TFTC Keeper of Time
There was nothing hot here today on an Australia day holiday - the place was deserted! A quick find and I was on my way.
Greetings from Tassie whilst visiting Chewton for a 1st birthday party.
A quick duck out for a few caches with GHAP before the party, after a morning of preparation for said party.
TFTC, KoT; we'll need to come back another time to spend time checking out the hot rods.

On our way home from attending the Melbourne MEGA with (ReganSeekers, and becca85) becca85 says we have 29 finds for the day (including 1 of all 12 cache types!) and she was after a round number.
It was 1am and we still had a ways to go but. ..
she promised us that this was just a small diversion for us so next thing we are heading toward the cemetery,... aghh , so when we pulled up Mrs ReganSeekers and becca85 jumped out, with their torches in hand to find the cache by torchlight. and so this was our last cache on a most memorable day of caching. TFTC Keeper of Time !

After my day at the Melbourne Mega with becca85 and jtnsilo we were on our way home, it was 1am and becca85 said we had done 29 for the day and couldn't leave it at that could we? So this cache was the closest nearby but for a second i thought my guide becca85 was sending me into the nearby cemetery by torch light- no thanks. I was glad to have the quick cache. TFTC Keeper of Time
On our way home from attending the Melbourne MEGA we (ReganSeekers, jtnsilo & myself) noticed that we had 29 finds for the day (including 1 of all 12 cache types!)
It was 1am by this point but we decided that 1 more was needed to round off our numbers. This was one of the only caches in the area that none of the 3 of us had found prior so off we went. As I navigated our driver ReganSeekers toward the cemetery, she told me I was insane & was glad when I assured them that the cache was well past the cemetery for our middle of the night find by torchlight. TFTC!

While up in the area for a caching trip we made ventured over to this one.
What a very interesting spot this is, we always love the old relics.
Thanks Keeper of Time for the cache and showing us this spot.

Travelling around Australia today we are based at Kyneton.
We are loving our visit to Victoria, albeit simply Freezing. So much history. So many old historical buildings.
Today we also enjoyed seeing the Wattle that is flowering well in this area.

Today Master 4 and I headed out to complete series in the bush near here so we grabbed a few quick drive bys too. Loved some of the signs on the barns on the road in. A quick find. Felt a little suspicious here though! Many thanks
12:11, 1 July 2015. #192. Out on a mid-week ride with a Ulysses Club branch and I had to head home early. Decided to hunt for some caches between Castlemaine and the Calder. This was number two. Another quick one, which would also have been quicker if I'd parked closer - again.

This was the last (of 33, topped and tailed by Keeper of Time caches!) caches hunted after a successful day in the area and it was a last second decision to hunt it as light was rapidly fading and the rain was threatening but went for it anyway. Found my way to GZ and I was able to park really close. The area was deserted thankfully so began the hunt by looking all over the obvious place with nothing to find. Hmm, could have got serious about the hunt but stood back and had a think, then looked somewhere a little different and had the cache in hand, a well chosen hiding spot! Thanks to Keeper of Time for this one
Easy find
Great place
Thanks creators
Out geocaching for the day with GlitterGirl1 and geobuddies

Nice hide and great views of HEAPS of roos at dusk. Loved the old relics along the road. TFTC
A quick find today on my way home. The GPS was playing up so I had a look at the google maps view and located the cache from that whilst I was waiting for the GPS to reset. Some interesting gear and buildings to be seen on the drive to GZ, shame it all has 'Private Property, Bugger Off' written on it! TFTC Keeper of Time.
On our road trip home to Qld we stopped by for this one. The log was completely water logged and mushy. I replaced it with new log. Thanks for the cache.
We found this cache today at 3:50pm as number 25 of 32 on our tour from Bendigo to Home. Winding back in and around, "A" soon spotted this one. Thanks from D, HA & A B-A.
Quick find on the way to the event in castlemaine today

I think a few people have done what we did here, but we located it in the end. Thanks for bringing us here, we didn't stop to check out the sights today, but admired the well kept grounds.
Found by Mary & David at 1025. We'd come into the area past the sign advertising that this district is the street rod capital of Australia. Despite this, Mary wondered why there wasn't a multi in the nearby cemetery. Once at GZ, we were glad that there wasn't a street rod event in progress, and the area was deserted. Found the cache in the second place that we looked. The usual content of timepieces must all have been swapped out. Our thanks to Keeper of Time.

Following the fun, friendship and food at the CVGT VII Event, it was time to be out and finding a few local caches. Castlemaine/Chewton could well be the Rod capital of Victoria.
TNLN .. . . . SL . . Thanks to Keeper of Time for the hunt.

3138 Found by baby&Mrs gopher in company with Team Ladava at 1130. Of course we looked in the incorrect places first. Once the penny dropped it was an easy find. SL Tnx Keeper of Time.
Found by Team Ladava with baby&Mrs gopher on a very hot summer's day.
Yes, we fell for the old trick and looked on the obvious spot before extending the search area slightly.

Feathertop and I started early with a couple of caches in Gisborne, then a quick run up to Castlemaine.
Home in time to go to night shift (and before the day got too hot!)
I used to come up the area regularly and so know the Rod Shop well.
No one around the workshops to day, so a quick find.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found with Bogognhazy on a day around this area. We had tunnel vision on arrival at GZ, and concentrated our efforts elsewhere, until eventually I widened the search, and the cache was then quickly in hand. Many thanks to Keeper of Time for the placing of this cache.
I'd finished work in Melb this morning and met Sully1 in Malmsbury where we dumped a car and I was chaufferred around for the day in her flash and bash Prado. After doing the Fryers series, we found a few more local caches. Sully found this one after we'd checked out the Furphys, thanks KOT

One Family - Two Nights Camping - 25 Caches - One FTF!!!
We headed up to Castlemaine Friday night, enabling us to make an early start to Maryborough so we could see Katy's niece compete in the RACV Energy Breakthrough on Saturday morning. We were able to fit in an hours caching on the way back before getting ready and heading off to a 40th birthday celebration. Sunday morning was a nice relaxing pack up of the camp site and a good few hours caching around Castlemaine and Campbell's Creek, including one impromptu FTF, before grabbing a bite to eat then heading home grabbing a few along the way.
Parked near GZ and started the search, Katy was the one to locate the cache in a spot Campbell had already checked!!!
Thanks for the cache Keeper of Time!!!

I have been consolidating my finds database in GSAK and have located a number of caches that I haven't logged as yet. I guess when you travel with limited net access, it is easy to miss logging a few, or maybe it's just laziness. As always I have enjoyed the hunt and the experience in finding this cache. Thanks Keeper of Time for taking the time to research and place this cache.
We were up here today for the classic film festival so couldn't resist another go here. Sure enough no workers about on this Saturday morning and the find was made in seconds!
Thanks
Thanks
I didn't even have to get out of the car for this one and I suggested where it might be hidden and sure enough it was. I had done my part.
Thanks KOT

I could see too many workers eying me off as I drove in so I chose today not to look for this one. Another day perhaps..
We had just found the cache when a vehicle pulled up at the nearby building and someone jumped out of a van and opened one of the roller doors. Quickly signed the log and replaced the cache, before 'buggering off', as the signs further down the road told passer-by's to do.
Thanks for the cache Keeper of Time.

The "friendly" messages on nearby buildings made us a bit wary looking for the cache but no one around today. TFTC Keeper of Time.

Had never been here before or noticed the location.

Quick, easy find. Its good to see that caching in the Castlemaine area is growing! TFTC.
I have been here when the business was thriving and there were birds in the aviary and visitors looking through the musueum. Rod's museum is now in the big green shed on the adjoining property and the rod-shop business is now in Blakely Road Castlemaine. The property includes the lake and island etc, 4 bedroom house and workshops. TFTC
Nice quick find although a bit concerned someone would come and and ask what I was doing.
Never new this existed! Picked up trackable... PathTag: Romax Tag 15407

Thanks Keeper of Time. We had a nice short drive to this one. Good to find a new cache in the Castlemaine area.
The establishment referred to in this cache title is synonymous with Castlemaine and has an enviable reputation throughout the hot rod community.
