Moved into the area about a month ago and this cache is walking distance from my house. Took myself down there this afternoon but unfortunately had no luck. It was dusk so I ended up giving up when I started losing light. Did look in all the obvious spots before the sun started dropping and came up empty handed. I’ll keep an eye on this cache though and when it gets found next time I’ll head down again for another look.

Out finding a few caches at the Gold Coast with grannysmith1947 and Brislions. Our phones refused to settle here, so the search took waaaay longer than it should have. With the camp set up so close by, it was more than a little uncomfortable searching here. Glad I had my caching buddies with me today. When the cache was finally located, we quickly added our names to the log before scurrying out of the area. TFTC

The plan for today was the Gold Coast with Selva Girls and grannysmith1947 of you can’t forget Miss Millie the geodog. We had a great day grabbing 20 caches. The break down is Letterbox, Wherigo, 2 mystery 5 multi and 11 traditional. One goal for the day was 5 types to be found.
We had lots of fun caching around the Gold Coast. Some help was needed unfortunately one DNF.
Sorry for the generic post.

Was doing an inspection for a new house to rent and while waiting saw this cache hide nearby. The GPS pointed me to a couple of spots it could be but as it wasn't being that helpful I came across a spot and there it was. When I found the spot it was hidden it ended up being in a place that was easy to get to, but thats what happens when your not familiar with an area, you do things the hard way and then work out the easier way afterwards, lol. TFTC, signed and returned as found.

The last day of January 2017. How time flies! Today we will pass a mini milestone of 5,500 geocache finds since September 2014.

Mrs RoddyC and I had some Vouchers for a lunch in a restaurant at Southport, so we invited DiamonJS and Joojoo57 to join us for some caching before and after, Mrs RoddyC had a job to do at WIndaroo first, so the morning was spent around there while she was at work. Sad After lunch, we had time for just four caches before we were due back home.

After finally working out which side of the road would be better to park, we ventured off into the bush. There were winding tracks but the direct approach in is the geocachers creed, isn't it? After a bit of looking around in the bush, we discovered our quarry closer to the track than expected.

Log signed & replaced again. Found at 2.50pm on 31st January 2017. TFTC

We're up on a short holiday and couldn't resist the urge to add a QLD cache or two to our list of finds!!
Beautiful little park area that we'd never seen before, so thanks for bringing us here. Got a great car parking spot on our way from another cache.
GPS was all over the place and we spent a while scratching around in the bush.
Was about to give up on this one as our first DNF in QLD, but spotted this one as we were leaving. Happy to have found this one scratch our names in the log. TFTC

After a DNF on a cache near here I decided to be more careful about checking recent logs before picking a target. It seems that a lot of caches around here may be MIA. Thankfully this one was where it should have been. TFTC

Thank you for the nice bushwalk through suburbia. It seems I did not need to walk through the rather large spiders that I did to find this cache today. I could not find this cache as per co-ords, rather pure luck on the way out.

02-May-15
Found this one after a dark romp through the bush. The non cacher I was with found it before me.

12-Apr-15
Reperio at 2315.

Day 17 of the mega caching tour of Queensland, and the two week trip was predominantly spent finding some of the states' older placed caches, as well as some of the more difficult terrain caches. After an exhausting day caching, this was the last one for the day, and only because I happened to pull up on the road next to it to check where I was headed. Saw the cache, thought 'Eh...why not'....and wandered over to soon spot the cache.

Gratias Roaming Jack.

After two DNF's I have finally found a cache for today. Smile
Thanks for the cache.

18-Feb-15
Found after about 2-3mins of looking quite a few possible spots here.
Lid was 3/4 on. And has let water in log wet and full.
So I added a small write in the rain sheet should allow at least 15 logs.
Wish people put lids back on caches correctly.
Anyway as we put lid back on it absolutely BUCKETED down!!!!! Ran back to the car on main road clearly every spiderweb possible on way out. LOL

This was nowhere near where the GPS was saying but MrG just happened to look there. It's more than likely the co-ordinates are good and the GPS was having a slow moment. TFTC Roaming Jack.

1 of 1 in today's cache run.

Out with MrsGreenGeckos in my quest to leave Australia (for the US) on 999 caches found.

Stumbling along into this little pocket of bushland, I first spied some ag pipe and then I came across a liitle "tomato plant". The funny thing about that was it was in a dainty purple pot, partially covered. It was looking healthy and well tended.

This find makes 848

24-May-14
Just looking at a couple more while heading home from a day out caching around the Gold Coast and Gold Coast Hinterland. This one come up on the map and thought why not take a look.

We wandered into this piece of bush from the road and narrowed down the search area, however it seems that the GPSr was bouncing around a little and I was just doing some circles checking a few different places. With nothing really turning up. So I put the GPSr away and took a little look around at a few other spots, and soon turned up a little something that is just what we were looking for.

The log signed and things replaced we moved on.

Out on the geocycle today trying to find some smileys so my numbers are right for a milestone on Saturday. A rain front had just passed over, and I was hoping to grab a few before the next downpour hits.

Not so obvious where to look with GPS bounce and plenty of potential hiding spots. Checked a few before finding the right one.
