As there's been no cache to find for some time, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.
Cache in very poor condition. It was open and the water has got in. Attempted to re- seal but container has rusted and warped
We found it. Yeh. A very rough scramble. No path only the one we made. Found with Granny DM
Bit overgrown getti g here and cache a bit worse fot water immersion at times. Left new waterproof log sheet
Found it, lovely spot. Wasn't able to write in the logbook because the whole thing was saturated...the recent flood hasn't been kind to this one; needs maintenance. Thanks for the cache.
Well it's still there! Recent flood waters were obviously up to this level given the amount of grey mud, and debris about at GZ, and with the cache itself being very muddy and wet inside. Managed a signature though thanks to the waterproof logbook. An interesting little walk.

The 3 caches out this way were pretty much the only caches we didn't have smiley faces on so decided to make the trip out this morning luckily before the rain hit. Decided to go look for this one first and then back track to the others. This one was an interesting walk to get to the cache having to watch our footing with all the overgrown grass etc and many pot hole. made it to GZ co ords were spot on but still had us searching for a few mins to find the cache which was tucked away very nicely. Good sized container TFTC
I remember when these where quite common its amazine they have lasted so long as they where only destined to last 6 months great to see them and other real caches as not a fan of nanos
Gps ran out of batteries but I still got it. Classic container. Left one of my last pathtags. Took a travel bug. cheers from casa del hince TFTC
Found it! Thanks Timbermills for another great cache. This will definitely go on my favourites list. Dropped a TB in this cache and kids did some trades.

It took us a while to fennel-bash our way to this cache, but once we got there it was a fairly quick find - our last for the year. TFTC
Many thanks- lots of great loot, nice to find a good sized cache for a change- tak
Good hiding place and treasure container ! Great idea for your birthday ...!!!
Spending a couple of days in Napier and Hastings with the main aim being to get CANZ.
Nice big cache full of lots of things but we had nothing with us to leave so made no swaps. Lots of tracks in and out but today there was lots of water and mud as well. Oh well, getting wet and dirty is all in the day of a dedicated Geocacher.
Thanks timbermills for taking us there and another smilie on our Hawkes Bay map.

Good spot, tied on for safety through floods, last one for today. Tftc
A great place for a cache. Seen plenty of these containers in North America. TFTC
Container replaced, and original contects placed back into the container along with a lot more goodies, enjoy.
Ha ha, yes we did find it... Looks like everything is there minus the container so still logged find.

An easy find after a bit of a bush bash, but very surprised to find many pieces of swag, toys & 4 TBs (not noted in the trackables inventory) were all scattered around in the mud without any container. The TB in the inventory was not in the cache. We think the area must have been flooded and the container emptied out and taken. Luckily the log is intact, in its plastic bag and still dry. Piled the goods up in a corner, but we didn't have a bag we could put them in, sorry. Have taken all the TBs, will clean them up and send them on their way. Needs maintenance.

It was a very hot day and, after three DNFs in a row, our enthusiasm was waning. This was the most difficult cache site to get to of the four planned but I was pleased to quickly find the cache. It is always great to see these type of traditional cache containers.
Taking a break from the Cuzzies 21st birthday, A bit of a bush bash but it was a lovely spot in the end. Nice cache
After crashing through the bush and grass for a while we soon had this HUGE and well stocked cache in hand. TFTC!
Nothing makes my day when out caching and you find a amo can. So not enough caches this size around.
We'd never have come here except in search of a cache. The kids were very keen on some of thee goodies! TFTC
After having stayed overnight in the park closeby we went this time for a walk with the doggies.
The wind is blowing so hard, that a bicycle would end up on the other end. For doggies this was their paradise. Running in and out the water....Great
When walking to the cache, I was thinking who is crazy enough to put a birthcache out here. It is not really a walk for little kids. The large cache was great to see and a lot of swapping stuff all new and dry in there. Compliments to the cacheowner and hope that a lot of cachers can enjoy this caching trip.

Nearly gave upon this one but found after returning to the site after checking co ordinates again.
5649. A quick and easy find on a lovely cycle/walkway. Great to find such a good container! Thanks for the cache and the exercise. Rodney and Iris.
IT DIDN'T TAKE LONG TO FIND THIS NICE LARGE CACHE, WHICH ARE BECOMING A BIT RARE THESE DAYS, I THINK. I LEFT A TB I PICKED UP IN MELBOURNE RECENTLY. THIS CACHE DESERVES A POINT AND A SMILEY. TFTC

Great container, only the second one of these I've found, and great to find a cache with lots of good quality treasures in it, makes it worth people with kids in tow finding this one. Obvious signs that the cache location was on a temporary island recently when we had all that rain, but cache must have remained high and dry. Retrieved a TB. TFTC
Nice sized find. Nice wandering through the trees in the dark as you never know what shadow is going to jump out at you

We were wondering why someone would place a cache here, but when you see the size of the container you understand why. This was our fourth and final cache for the day along this walk/bike track. We've had a good day out and were impressed with this cache. Plenty of room for more swag in here. We took one item and left two. Dog says thanks too, very interesting holes and smells for him to check out, he was very happy to come on this adventure. TFTC
quick easy find loved the large find miss 2 swapped some eyeballs and we took the fairy TB
Great cache this one. Good sized and filled to the brim with goodies - just like caches in spots like this should be.
a well hidden and camouflaged chache, I missed it on the first visit but got on the return journey .

The 40 was also celebrated some years ago, but it is never too late to celebrate ! The place is really nice and well chosen. even if I did not want to stay too long for the mosquitos were quite active.

You'd talked about this container at the CITO event, so we thought we'll have to do this one. Happy 40th birthday for a couple of years ago.
Made some swaps & left a pet rock - an orca. TFTC

Happy Birthday once again, Timbermills. A beaut container, great contents. I took the Hackey-sack, and put in a jigsaw puzzle and a Hologram Badge. Should have brought a Fishing TB which I have at present. This would be a very suitable placement for a fish, and heaps of space in the box. The river is high, due to blocked outlet at present, but a bulldozer will soon fix that, even if nature doesn't. Your cache still has a good margin of safety above water level. Thank you.
