Yay back in the ACT Eventing circle. Great costumes. My daughter enjoyed the young lass dressed as Queen Amidala. Met the cachers from the Riverina on the way out. Enjoy your ACT-snake-less caching!!!!
Hey GLISS!, awesome event. I loved that so many people took the time to dress for the occasion. A very well attended event and opportunity to catch up with fellow cachers and friends. TFTC
It was good to see everyone (briefly!). Some great Star Wars costumes around. MAY THE FORTH BE WITH YOU
6459 + 818 = 7277. Another fun World Wide Flash Mob attended !
I enjoy these - it was fun catching up with the regulars as well as seeing just how many new cachers there are out there. Great turn out and the costumes were interesting ! The kids seemed to enjoy the whole thing. Thanks for organising the event GLISS! - well done !
Cheers....

If I can get the troops organised at work, I should be able to spare a minute or 15 and attend.
Live long and prosper......oh right.
Amazing to see so many people, that early in the morning! It looked very cool watching everyone suddenly head towards GZ right on 8:30

Thanks for a fun gathering on a really pretty morning. Came with The Split and we weren't certain we had the right spot until we came over the hill abd saw the flash.
Didn't expect to get here but managed it right at the last moment. Great to catch up with geocaching friends. Thanks GLISS.
Cheers

Great to see lots of cachers getting in the spirit of Star Wars Day. Signed the log, a frog and we were off after the photo was taken. Funny to see lots of interesting crowds around the park beforehand. Can't wait to see the photos. Thanks GLISS!, a nice event once again!
Well that was amazing. My first event and it was very good to put some faces to the names and to catch up with those I already knew.
Thanks Heaps GLISS for the event

What a great day for a geocaching event and great to see so many people turn up this morning, esp those that took the trouble to get into costume. Thanks for organising it GLISS!
Thanks all for supporting the event this morning, thanks Tankengine for the photography and thank-you Mother Nature for such wonderful weather.
What an impressive showing for such an early event. There are 49 names on the event log.
The costumes looked great - thanks for taking the effort. I think the kids really enjoyed the impromptu light saber battle with Darth Vader.
Apologies to those who were seeking FTF & 2TF - I'm far from being a morning person and left the prizes at home. Guess I will have to host another event so I can distribute the prizes.
Until next time.... GLISS!

May the 4th be with you. Well it surely was there today. Dont know why all the kids wanted to pick on poor old me? Scared some joggers with my Darth Varder costume before joining the group. Great to see old and new faces and thanks GLISS for the event. May the force be with you!
A great event in a nice area with wonderful weather (the pre event wanderings gave me a chance to see some lovely autumn colours). Some great costumes. Nice to catch up.
Thanks GLISS!
Thanks GLISS!
Wow ... What a huge turnout for something so early in the day ...
Getting up early has never really been my thing - unless I have a good excuse made even harder this morning by the fact that I stayed up late last night sewing myself a light sabre!
The event was fun, good to meet/catch up with others ... and a good excuse to find a nearby cache after the event, then wander in to CIVIC to "free comic day" ... am now sitting in the Apple store, logging this on my iPad, using their free wifi ... Wearing my costume
Forgot to grab the TB I had in my bag in the car, and put it in my pocket ... But I figure in the car parked 200m away is close enough to say it visited

Well, that was a heck of a lot of fun - even more fun than when I used to bullseye womp rats in my T-16 back home! I actually arrived on-site an hour before kick-off - it seemed like a good opportunity to take some photos around the lake - so it was quite entertaining to watch the 'random' groups gradually appearing and trying to avoid clustering in the one spot. It's also amusing to see how many cachers become photography enthusiasts when they have to appear 'inconspicuous'.
It was great to see so many padawans (and even fair few Council Elders) put in the effort and dress the part. Unfortunately I wan't able to be one of them, and had to rely on my limited imagination to at least try to be thematic - I'm sure the packet of a particular brand of sugarfree gum clipped to my shirt earned it's share of curious glances, but only those brave enough to ask discovered the terrible truth - I thought I'd come as an 'extra', but decided at the last minute to be 'Chewie'! [:o)].
With the log signed and the photo taken (and Darth Vader apparently vanquished once again) it was time to fly off into the sunrise - I wish I could've stayed longer, but I had an appointment to keep in a galaxy far, far away. (OK, it was just across the lake - but I was already running late!).
Thanks for organizing this event GLISS! - here's looking forward to the next one! (Maybe on Empire Day?).
(Wow - the website really does a number on uploaded photos! I've got a handful of shots to add to the Gallery, if anyone wants better quality copies let me know).

We needed a good reason to get up early this morning, and it turns out the weather was glorious this morning and there was a rebel attack planned. We jumped in the Millennium Subaru and after making the cachers run in 12 parsecs we arrived. We milled around planning a rebel attack, then at the right moment overran the log sheets and defeated Darth Flashmob.
Great to see so many people turning up on such a nice morning. Thanks for the event GLISS!

Yay I was here with my dad and brother. We played football until it was time. Saw all the costumes and even fought with Darth Vader. Then I had to go to my first football game
Attended with my dad and sister. Tried to defeat Darth Vader and Young Anakin Skywalker as well
A great event on a beautiful Canberra morning. Really enjoyed seeing everyone heading for the sole picnic table at 8:28 - wonder what any muggles thought? Great to see so many in costume - it added flair to the event. Thanks GLISS for organising a great event.

A fabuous Canberra morning, woke up a little late this morning and looked at my clock oh I'd better fire up the Land speeder and hi-tail it over to the event.
Wow what a showing and the force is definately with some people here, met a few new faces and caught up with some old friends, great idea Gliss
thanks and may the force be with you all

A great little event (as part of a very big one). I very casually picked up all of the clues for a nearby multi while waiting for the appointed time. Had a good chat to a few cachers that I know, participated in the photo and then still managed to get to the gym on time. All in all, a successful event. Thanks to GLISS! for organising it.
A lovely way to start a weekend!
We weren't sure that we would have the costumes ready in time, but some last minute fixes on Friday night meant we were ready for Star Wars Day!
The geokids had a ball with the lightsaber fights (Thanks Mr_Roo), and it was nice to see some familiar faces, and meet up with some new faces too!
Thanks GLISS!

Attended after some prior caching duties. An excellent turnout, including some faces I haven't seen for years. And some voices recognised behind masks too. A lovely day, well done GLISS.
Wow - that was a great turnout! And the weather couldn't have been better! Nice to meet many familiar faces, and some faces I haven't seen in ages! (Albeit only for a short while) - Have attached the group photo - seems it got rather squished on GC.com... Anyways - if you would like a larger copy - send me an email! Thanks for organising GLISS!
Saw some impressive costumes and talked to some friendly people. Thanks for organising the event, Gliss! May the 4th always be with you!
Jinkyandjohn did make it up from Geelong after all and we're very happy to attend and meet up with others. A lovely location anda perfect start to a day's caching in and around Canberra. Thanks to all.
What a great way to start a beautiful day.
Thanks to GLISS for organising.

A well organised event and lots of familiar faces. It was amusing watching all the usual suspects hanging around inconspicuously beforehand - but it all really well.
#492 - 08:35; What a well organised and attended event. It was great to catch up with fellow cachers, some I've met while caching, at previous events and a few more new ones today. Another great effort GLISS!
Up early enough to attend this one, what a glorious morning. We thought we may be late and miss it, as all the traffic lights were against us. Took the inconspicuous walk across the gardens, and "flashed" when the time was right. Was great to see so many at this event. Thanks for organising GLISS!
A great start to the day, great weather and a great turnout.
Thanks for the event GLISS!

Earlier in the week we were planning on attending the local Sydney WWFM event. However, circumstances changed and we ended up in Canberra for the weekend. This event was a nice excuse to get out of the hotel early, and out and about for the day. Despite visiting Canberra several times over the years, neither of us had been to Lennox Gardens before. It was a great spot for the event. It was fun to see the costumes of some of the other cachers who attended. Thanks for organising the event.
Grandma had recently bought me a Star Wars jacket, so this was a great chance to wear it. I liked seeing the other Star Wars characters, and hearing my name read out at the roll call.
I know it was a flash mob, but I just wanted to run away from the mob. What a great park!
Thank you very much GLISS for organising this event. You could not have organised a nicer day or location. The weather, location and great people were a really fantastic way to start the day.
A very special thank you to ALL those who dressed up for the occasion. The kids appeared to enjoy it very much and also defending the universe from the visit of Darth. Mr_Roo appeared to survive the ordeal ok.
Thanks once again for a great event.

What a perfect morning for this event! Lots of fun seeing the kids, the BIG kids and the younger ones, all dressed up. Thanks for organising this event GLISS! Hope our caching footprints cross again in the near future
A wonderful Autumn geocaching day with colour and sunshine
thanks for the company Captain Tomato
great to see everyone
Happy caching to all

It seems like a while since we have attended a flash mob, so we had to get along to this one. As always, nice to catch up with people we haven't seen for a while. And well done on a good location and great weather for the event - nicely organised! Thanks GLISS!
6944. [green]Sad really when a geeky pasttime like caching can bring out nerds in costumes - and I thought I'd be the only one . I had to borrow my cloak however and wonder about Alan Begado.....owned?
Great weather you put on GLISS! and a great spot. (Some day we do need to do one of these in the heart of Civic). [/green]
[blue]Thanks for the cache GLISS! and the whoop de doo. [/blue]

Looks like we can make! We'll be dressed as muggles as we don't have anything Star Wars attire. See you there!
Sounds like fun to me! I'll be there... And I can bring a camera with a tripod too... Although I don't know about starwars attire...
Hopefully I can force myself out of bed in time for this one - it sounds fun!
(Didn't have any Star Wars stuff, so I got out a length of dowell and some fabric and sewed a light sabre

What a fantastic idea loved the way some people went to the trouble of dressing up you all look terrific
What a great idea. Our first event cache and I loved the effort some people put into getting dressed up Star Wars style!
The Force is indeed strong with this one.

Thank you for a lovely event in a great location. Great to see those who made the effort to dress up. Now off for some caching.
Shame we missed it but may I take the opportunity to thank Canberra and Wagga Wagga cachers for some awesome hides! Bye for now, NeverLostAu team.
This is the first for NiceRedRooster. Normally hidden under the guise of HNRooster, this seemed as good a time as any for a maiden early morning crow. With the hen, little miss chic and baby chic the HNRooster family was complete. Like most of us needs, I felt the need to support this event. Even though I am from the other sci fi family (live long and prosper), a trip to Canberra while on holidays seem to be the best way to support. Thanks for event and the chance for the Rooster I flash!!!
May the force be with all my fellow cachers. Will be there, unfortunately we don't have Star Wars gear to wear, so we'll just be casual. See you all tomorrow!
GLISS! thanks for organising this WWFM. I will be there with lightsaber courtesy of SkyFire and the kids (about the only thing star wars like that I have unfortunately).
Jinky and John are scheduled to be in Canberra that weekend. Looks like I know one thing we'll be doing.
Unfortunately I can't make this one - I'll be out of town. If anyone is interested they can come along to Binalong later in the day to celebrate Star Wars Day with me... GC4A36Y pending... http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?guid=936d1f84-8c69-4fbe-a379-915ddfa1cd72
Flashmobs add an interesting Leia to the event cache genre. I'm supposed to be at work, but it's just around the corner so I should be able to make it - though as usual I'll be going Solo. Luke for me there!
