Quick visit to Warialda with searchingformacca and grabbing a few caches along the way. This one was a quick find. Lovely area.TFTC
We were able to pull up <30m from GZ today, and it wasn’t long before we had cache in hand. Unable to stamp the log as in container was full of water - photo attached. Emptied the water, replaced the cache as found. Took nothing, left nothing, TFTC!
Quite amazed that this cache survived the floods. Log needs to be replaced as it is wet. Emptied cache of water. You no need to be a 4wd enthusiast as the road has been repaired. The track is over grown in the last kilometer. So high clearance would be better unless you want to walk.
What a gnarly old gum. Lucky for us we haven’t had any rain for a few days now so we were able to do this cache Tftc
We are on a 2 month trip from Portland via the Mundi Mundi Bash to a wedding in Brisbane and then out west for QOGM in Charleville.
Today we are travelling from Narrabri where we had set up camp at the showgrounds to Moree where we camped at the free camp at Pally. This was the other option for camping and it looks pretty good too - the cache has been guarded by some very determined box thorns so extracting it was a challenge.
Thanks for contributing to the fun ReXross

Found as I slowly made my way back home to Adelaide via a somewhat convoluted route after attending the Mega Event at Townsville over Easter.
After 4 days and nights of intermittent rain it was nice to wake up this morning to sunshine (after the fog lifted). Hopefully I’ve left the wet weather behind!
As I clambered up to this one a substantial slab of tree broke away, exposing a large and very active ants nest just below the cache. And they were none too happy! I had to reach across them and ended up with quite a few on me. Fortunately they were the biting rather than stinging kind, so just a few nips and no teal issues.
The cache and contents were in reasonable condition. Hopefully the ants have found a new home before the next searcher turns up!
Thanks ReXross for the cache.

Tftc TeamKross, detoured down the track on our way into Moree, wikicamps said that big rigs could get in , so off we went
No trouble with the road while towing our caravan, very narrow section to cross a creek.
Followed the road to within 30m of GZ.
Bit of long grass about, made the find, log ok for signing.
Easy spot to 3 point turn out
Wouldn't recommend this after rain.

So glad I finally found it! A brush cutter would have been handy as the grass is extremely long. Good thing it’s close to the road. Log is damp as the bag inside the container has a hole. Lots of rain here recently. Great spot though, thank you for showing me this part of the area and TFTC.
Of to the newly renovated Pally pub nearby, this cache brought me to a nice reserve near the waters edge. Tftc
Geez, after the flooding through here, it’s really lucky this one is still here, but it is. Wet, but there. TFTC
Came to the campground to catch a glimpse of Saturn and Jupiter getting close as it's going to cloudy on conjunction night.
I left a trackable behind if someone is heading west.

While we were staying in Moree with ilook4geo and Twista737 we decided to go out and have a look at Gum Tree Reserve. It looked like a great place to free camp and there were lots of birds around including pelicans, ducks, cockatoos and shags.
The cache itself was not too hard to find even though the camo was quite effective. The log had all three names added to it before the container was put back and carefully covered with the camo again.
Thank you TeamKross for bringing us here and for showing us an area that is new to us.

Loved this reserve and would like to stay here on another trip. Cache was found OK and log was signed with 3 names. TFTC.

Found you cache on a day trip to Warialda.
Cache and contents were in good condition.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

eek snake skin on the ground. Shall we go in or want we. Get a big long stick and wiggle it about ready to jump! No movement but still very dividently we go on. Phew success well earnt. Very peaceful parking spot for vans.
Found the phone had me crossing the river to get to it. But I could see the TSR so I backed track. Pulled up and said to wife it is going to be there and alas it was. Tftc
Tenkae's Outback Adventure Day 25 - amazing area, wish we had time to camp here. Just beautiful, tftc
Hi there ReXross. Today was a driving day between Inverell and Moree - so a pretty easy day. We left Inverell early (before 10am) and arrived in Moree at around 12.30pm. A {FavPt} for this cache - not because of the container (it is quite ordinary), but because of the location - one of the most peaceful visited yet . This cache was a quick find and the container and the log are dry and in good condition. SL. Thanks to ReXross for this cache - our find #6635.
Just passing on our way to the Mega. After a wrong start we found our way into the cache. A nice place to camp. Very windy and dusty today. Cache all good and log signed. TFTC
didnt have to reach too high but what amazing trees in this area. would be great with water flowing in the river
TFTC!
What a lovely spot, I never would have known this was here without this cache taking me off the main road. Signed log and left some swag.

First stop on me way to Moree today,
and I detoured in to find this hidden away reserve.
It is a lovely area with tonnes of room to get away from any annoying Harveers who have brought one of those anti-social generators with them ,
so they can run the air-conditioner and oversize fridge
A cruise around the reserve and well away from the above source of noise,
I tracked down this cache in a spot that it unlikely anyone is going to camp near
I guess I'll be back to camp tonight after a caching raid in Moree [^]
Council has now installed a picinic shelter, dunny, and a couple of too small rubbish bins

I had decided not to try for this cache as my day was taking longer than anticipated to get to the sheepyards from Armidale, what a surprise. then I drove past the sign, looked at the clock, how far was it?? Ahh just do it! very glad I did venture down , it was quite hot today which was weird since I started the day with snow on the ground, will no doubt be back with friends and kayak on board within the next year or so to play on the river. I wonder how far you can get before you strike a weir. left a TB to continue her journey .tftc TeamKross.
Wandering from Moree in the general direction of Warialda and made the detour to this really lovely area There were about 3 vans set up there but none near GZ. I wish I’d known about this wonderful camping area before but I’ve marked it for next time I’m along this way. But for your cache I would never have found it Thanks TeamKross
Found the geocache and also found a big black snake so we didn't get to write on it and decided to retreat to the car.
I used to go fishing here in the 90s but only ever caught Carp. Beautiful place for an overnighter. tftc.
We are touring Australia and caching as we go!
Enjoyed finding the cache. Then we checked out the campsite. Such a beauty spot we dedided to stay.
Thanks TeamKross, your hide is much appreciated!
Cheers from Canada!

We are on our way from Nanango Qld to Alexandra via a few over night stops. our first stop is in Moree. We were supposed to leave home on the 4th but something came up and we could only leave today, the 6th. Arrived in town at 1300 adjusted (NSW DST) time. Had lunch and as this was the furtherest from town we headed out to it. Driving along the Gwydir Highway and saw the Gum Flat Road sign and took that. Cows along the road. Good road conditions and no need for 4WD. A very little climb and soon had the cache in hand. All good. Headed back to Moree and had found all the others on our list by 1600.
We then went for a drive to hide 5 caches for TeamKross to have in their area. I got one hidden and saw the storm coming and it was 10 K back to town. Just got into the car port at the Motel when the sky opened and some hail started striking the roof onf the car port. Good luck on this one. Will go back out in the morning before heading to Dubbo for four days and hide the other four. TFTC TeamKross.

While camping at Warialda with Geodog Scruffy ...
We just had to go out and find a few caches ..
As I approached GZ noticed 2 snake skins. And as I got closer, I realized 1 was draped over the cache ... ... back to the car Scruff !! ... I think I'll check this one out on my own. Using a long stick .. (could have been a lot longer in my opinion) I checked out the hidy-hole the cache was in .. [?] ... no 'naked' visitors still there, so a quick log in (v. quick ..) and back to the car ...
ummm not sure if it's a All Good ?? .. TFTC ..

Day three of our five day geocaching trip to Canberra for Easter. Today we cached from Moree down to Coolah and Gulgong. On the roads not so often traveled.
We were not too sure about taking the GeoFalcon up to this cache, but in the end, it was quite a safe drive. When we arrived, finding the cache at GZ was quick, but then things slowed for us. The cache container was cracked and broke, (probably from exposure to the sun's rays), and inside was muddy and smelly. Strange, really, given its GZ location.
We had a spare in the boot, and the CO had left his phone no in the lid of the cache, so a quick call (thankfully there was mobile signal here) and the CO OKd a replacement container. Done!
Now to meet the CO in town, as that is our next stop - Moree.
Found at 11.10am on 22nd March 2016. TFTC.

Had to ask the locals how to find this one we were travelling toward Moree. Was worth the trouble. While there the clouds built up rapidly with a promise of rain. Some great photos

This was the last cache for us today we drove almost right up to the cache. One camper on the way in. What a nice area. The cache was found and geohubby has not problem sticking his hand in. TFTC.
After attending the mega event in Stanthorpe we decided to head inland for a few days. This was one of several caches found along the way. Looks like a great place to camp. TFTC!

Drove down the dusty road & passed a couple camping by the river utilizing a steel shed as part of their setup. Slowed down to say hello but their dogs disagreed & they had to grab them to gain control so kept going, passing them again a few minutes later. Arrived at GZ & guestimated where it would be. Took a stick to stir up any unfriendlies but there were none. A quick find & on to Pally to have a gander. Thanks.
Found the cache scattered across the site. We collected everything, including the log. We didn't have any snap lock bags with us to rebag it, but put everything back in the container. The Garmin pointed to a most probable site for the cache that fitted the clue. Owners, will be sending you an email as I have taken photos of the exact location of the cache for you to check. Beautiful site and we were so glad to arrive when we did! Another couple of days would have seen it gone entirely.
Notified by cacher that this one might be amiss so will disable for now and hopefully check on Thursday or this weekend at the latest.
Re-activating after finder very kindly and skillfully replaced for me. I wish there were more cachers like them around
After too many months(even years) of not being able to travel due to health issues, we finally hooked up the van and headed off.
Day four found us in the Showgrounds at Moree .
Next morning back on the road to the east and called in to a lovely free camping area with a cache to boot.
Quickly found and signed. Thanks for bringing us there.

A beautiful spot, lovely free camp site for self contained RV's. Thanks for bringing us here teamkross. Another cache worth finding, but took nothing, left it all for the next lucky finders
Found with Tassiegirl13 while on holidays in the area.
We were on our way back to Brisbane and saw this one.
It sounded good and our camps book also gave it a good rating so the decision was made to come here and camp the night.
We're glad we did, it was a great spot.
There's were only one or two others around so the whole area was pretty quiet.
The cache was found easily.
I'm happy to give this one a favorite point and hope it encourages other to come in and visit.

Good hide!
Gum Flat is a great spot to visit. Lots of muggles still about for the long weekends, however not near GZ.

Very impressed with this area. A few people camping by the creek, took the opportunity to wash the car after all the mud we had been through the days before. Thx TeamKross for the cache and tour.
Found at 1:18 PM GAFF1. Now this is another great surprise for us! We were intent on getting to this cache. To begin with our navigational device said to take the Camurra-Warialda Rd and it got us to within 250 metres of GZ - but on the wrong side of the river. So we then read the cache description and had a massive "D'oh" moment and realised we had to be on the Gwydir Hwy. So back we go and then down a roughish wet track with the van on and when we got to the cache we decided that we may as well stay the night here. We found a lovely spot right on the bank of the river, unhitch the van and went into Moree to do our shopping and the caches that are there.
The cache was found after a moment of thinking that "the cattle must have eaten it" as we searched all around and then suddenly thought that with a terrain of 2.5 it may be elsewhere and there it was. Nice hide.
Thanks TeamKross.

We have never noticed this area before and usually drive right by but with a newly placed cache we were lured in. Some lovely camping spots by the river and today we were the only ones there. TFTC TeamKross
TFTC, nice spot for a picnic. Geo Kids very excited by the toy trading we've done in Moree today
Nice detour to find a great hide. Lots of little gifts, which our little boys were happy to swap for. Thought the people camping round the corner were going to muggle us, but fortunately not found with Krystles.
Heading out to grab some new hides while the kids slept in the car. This is one of my favourite local places and earned a favourite point from me.
Cache was well hidden and easy to retrieve. Thanks team Kross. Left toy car and took angry birds bracelet.
