Another blue changed to yellow! It feels so good to update our map in this way! We still took a while finding the cache - we had to look at just the right angle or we'd have missed it. Maybe we should have just sat down and tried to feel our way! TFTC
The cache may have gone missing but was not removed by us for the lockdown, just disabled.
We had an idea of what we were looking for here, and where to find it, and the clue confirmed our suspicions. But we had no luck in tracking down the cache. We did notice a mark where a previous cache might have been stuck, but who knows if that was for the older and larger one, or the more recent and smaller one.
Couldn't find it but didn't have much time as we were looking at a house to buy nearby & muggle husband wasn't mucking around. Tftc
Now NZ has moved to Alert Level 2, Geocaching is allowed but it’s up to each one of us to keep the rest of us safe.

#17416. Thanks for the interesting bit of history in the cache listing. Quick find after a zig and a zag down the hill. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ on day 3 of our four day long weekend trip to Tauranga and yet another gorgeous day to get out and about.
We thought this was a quick park and grab then realised we could take the direct route to GZ. A wee walk, and a short search later, we were signing the log book. Nice spot with great views. TFTC.

Thanks again nzkites for informing us; and showing us what happened and how it has all changed.
All good here.
All good here.
Tftc. Great to excuse to explore my old neighbourhood and see where a grew up.
While geocaching with my mum she found it very easily which was sad for me. Great hiding spot, very easy access.
Very very small, expected it to be big because it was size other but it was good!
Stayed the night in Otumoetai and now heading home to Gisborne. Collecting a few local caches. Cache all fine. TFTC
Remember that day well, was living in Tauranga then and had to go home from work early cause my own house had flooded.
Quickly spotted the little fulla.

First find of the day before leaving the area. A pleasant walk to GZ and made a quick find. TFTC.
YES!!! 3/3 Enjoyed the walk. Thanks for the hide. This certainly was a tiny little one.
PS. The log is still in good shape but the little rubber seal has perished.

Wow amazing how it's been changed. Never been up here. Quite cool what they've turned it into. I did think the path look like a luge track. Tftc
Such an awesome view from up here its nice to have such a space without houses in the way. This took a little bit to find but all good when we did.
Well I couldn't very well come and do #2 and #3 without doing this cache as well. I've really enjoyed walking around this area today in spite of the drizzling rain. One advantage of the rain is that it kept a lot of muggles at home! Excellent coordinates led me straight to the hint item and within a very short amount of time I had the cache in my hands. Thanks so much for bringing me to this area and the story behind the parks.
Visiting Tauranga today for a work meeting and managed to arrange my day so that I could get here early and grab a few caches beforehand. Decided to get my daily step count up pre-meeting and picked a walking route around the 'once were houses' series - best to stay away from muddy parks when in work clothes, haha. Interesting to learn about the history of the area & nice to have somewhere to sit after dashing up that hill. A nice quick find at GZ when I got here. Cache all good, TFTC.
Another nice little cache that brought me to an interesting location. It's hard to believe there used to be a bunch of houses here and that people built on such slopes before the landslide. Got a mozzie bite whilst here, somehow... TFTC, greetings from Auckland. Forgot to bring a pen on my travels, so happy to provide a picture of the cache if needed.
Apologies to the CO. Temp log to allow TB management. Will return and replace this text with a more appropriate entry shortly.
We did this one after Once were houses # 3 and my boy was navigating from the back seat off the GPS as we drove to the location of this cache.
As we went past where i thought this one might be near I said "how we doing mate?" to the reply 'Keep going we are not there yet" so i kept on going down the hill to great directions untill i got the "We are ariving at our destination".
As he looked up he realized that we were back where we started as the GPS had gone back to the previous coordinates.
After we set it back onto the correct location we went and found the cache.
the cache is in good condition.
Signed log and thank you for the cache.

Out finding some local caches with the grandchildren while visiting from up north. Hot day today. This is a nice walkway, interesting history. Doing the series of three. Thanks for the cache.
Great hide and great walk. I needed a rest so sitting down was perfect. A bit of a stretch down and there it was.
A few quick caches for kathykaches and I today. A bit of a race between us to find this one and a quick find yay. I got to use my nifty new log roller for the first time thanks for the cache!
2609 Once again I came from the bottom so I was happy to take a seat. Cache in hand and returned before I got my breath back.
Tricky lttle blighter. I do love magnetics, though. Second attempt. First was rained off.
This has been on my to do list for months but never quite got there until today. Finally a smiley face. Thanks Nzkites.
Staying nearby so took the dog for a walk to find some caches. Walked around the streets then back up the walkway to get this cache. Pleasant walk on a lovely morning. TFTC
Staying nearby with a relative. Out walking the dog in the morning and of course made sure there were caches along the way. Got 3/3 of the series. TFTC
We are driving around ths series of caches as we didn't have the time to walk, although it may have been quicker, as we got a bit lost in the maze of streets after we missed a turn. I was glad to see there was a plaque here to mark the event. There was no one around this morning so it was easy to find and retrieve the cache.
I can't believe how many people cache without a pen (at least!). Do you think eventually there will be an electronic method of log signing? (Sigh!)

After some serious family searching we found it. Didn't have pen but took photo for proof then replaced it
#392. Up from Wellington for a school holiday visit to the grandparents'. Persuaded RubyDragonNZ to accompany me on a dog-walk-with-caches to visit the area. Thanks for the very interesting history of the parks. Quick find here, often not the case with micros. FP for the series. Tftc!
Umm, this one was a bit difficult to see, it came over cloudy and it was hidden in shade. Then I took my sunglasses off and I could see. Found with My.Precious and signed as TT2M.P
