Have no idea why the previous NM and NA have not been actioned. We had a look and we couldn't find it either. Surely it's not there, and wouldn't appear to have been in a year. Time to be fixed or archived.
After yesterdays successful event up the hill I am cotinuing my cache finding in the area today.
This cache is obviously missing.
Can cache owner either replace the cache or archive it please?

Thought this would be a nice easy find. Killing time while junior geokid was at a party nearby. Searched for 15 mins. No find. Perhaps time to check that a crab had not taken off with it........
After a couple of drier days, I took the Geokid (suitable footwear applied) for a drive down the stretch to find this one.
iPhone GPS does not always do your cache searching justice and after some months of inactivity, due to sheer laziness, I had updated my Garmin 62ST with the local area and headed out to go look for this one.
Surprisingly the iPhone and Garmin initially suggested different sides of the road, but the trusted Garmin delivered to within 4ft and the odd pre dusk gnat aside, the cache was duly retrieved, signed and replaced with the minimum of fuss.
Always nice to find a decent sized container and all was well with its condition and that of the log.

For the record the song in my head - "Cat Stevens - Father and Son"
With my 30th birthday approaching in two weeks and having just passed 800 finds the competitive side of my brain decided it would be a great challenge to attempt to get to 1000 finds on my birthday. This would also mean that I would attain 1000 finds in 19 months of geocaching. I sat on the idea for a couple of days, I wasn't sure whether it was achievable and whether or not I would have the time to travel to areas which had decent trails. The competitive side got the better of me and with 10 days until my birthday I decided that the challenge was on!!
Now with only 9 days left until my birthday and my geocaching find count now 870 after finding 65 caches yesterday, time was running out to get to 1000 finds. I didn't have much time today before heading down to Leichardt Oval to watch the Tigers play. I decided to spend my time wisely and head down to the peninsula to find a few caches I'd been leaving for a rainy day. Although today was not rainy, it was time to get some smiley's down this way!
I've been meaning to do this one for a while but the thought of trudging through mud has always put me off. I figured I'd take my chance today and drove down the single lane dirt road. There hasn't been much rain for the past couple of weeks but there were still puddles and mud along the track from the recent storms. I got to within about 30m and then had to stop due to some potential bogging mud. I'm pretty sure I would have gotten through in my van but I wasn't willing to get bogged for the third time in 12 months so I decided to get out and walk.
Like others before me I spotted this one from the road! It's head was poking out making it a very easy find. There wasn't as much mud heading towards the cache as I expected and after a couple of strategically placed jumps I managed to get to the cache without getting my shoes dirty. I signed the log and placed it back into position but due to a lack of things to be able to cover it with the cache still has its head poking out.
TFTC cheers

Top find! Thank you for the hot wheels car. We love this even in marshy wetlands that are flooded )))
Found. Nice hide and big container. Not heaps of swag so I loaded it with some.
My narrow vision initially saw a very likely hiding place but nothing there. Damn what's going on? Then my broader view picked up the cache. Thanks yellowplease.
Found on our trip to Ettalong Beach for the weekend. Parked at the end of the seal road, because we couldn't drive down the muddy path, otherwise we would have gotten stuck. So, it was a short walk to GZ, for a very quick find. Lovely area. TNLNSL. TFTC yellowplease!
Went for a drive with dad to find some geocaches down the coast after only finding one in the direct area to where we were staying (Macmasters Beach)
Nice large cache after parking our car a distance away not wanting to drive on the dirt road The cache isnt very concealed but there isn't much you can do with it in that area! Lets just hope nobody comes through here often.

A pleasant walk to GZ while geomissus and bub stayed in the car.
A little sad a container so large had zero swag so I put some items in it for the kids.

Easy to find but heaps of fun tracking it down. I left my pen inside the container for the use of others.
I am amazed that this cache doesn't get muggled, not a lot of camo, and it isn't exactly small...A quick find, thanks.
Thanks for a fun find! A quick after school grab, a chance to break in our gumboots, walk the dog and our first trackable. Super views as well!
Fantastic to find a big container for a change. Not much camo on it, so we covered up best we could. Thanks yellow please.
Didn't read the previous logs and I took the georolla down the track! Luckily it wasn't too muddy. TFTC
Drove down to the end of the track and parked. Probably not the best thing to do for my 2WD car. The cache was easy to find and is a good size, I added a 'Kinder Surprise' style Star Wars mini-figure and a rolling toy and signed the log. Tried to provide a bit of extra cover to the cache after. TFTC!
Beautiful day, wow nice view lake... muddy on track to gz... Awesome cache and hide well thanks...
Not so happy with myself on this one, the tyre tracks were a little deeper than they first appeared and managed to drag the crossmember across the rocky centre of the road before reversing out and parking on the grass verge. Note to self, she never was and never will be a 4WD so keep the lack of ground clearance in mind...!!!
Walked to the coords and spotted the cache quickly, signed the log and returned as found with a little covering.

Found in the open as with others. Logged the find then made a secure placement with a bit of camo.

It's looking a bit depleted. Only a few things left inside. When we found it, it wasn't hidden at all - just sitting under a bush. Watch out for the mosquitoes. The place was swarming with them.
This was #2 of 3 I looked for and found on my first solo flight. Following my compass after driving to the end of the long stretch, I saw the cache (or what I figured had to be the cache) from 10 metres or so away ... I was right. As visible as it is, you have to be looking for it to find it though. TFTC.
Parked in the grass clearing and walked the remainder...handed over the GPSr to geo-kids and they found it no worries. Nice to see a big container, so we added some larger sized SWAG. TfTC, no.50 for me

We popped out to pick up a couple of caches in the Bensville area and attempted this one first. At the end of the sealed road, it looked like a private entrance but we drove in anyway and soon noticed the signage indicating that it was a nature reserve. The cache was quickly found in probably the only safe spot around.
Good one, thanks yellowplease.

I spotted the cache as we approached as it was not very well covered. It's a nice spot, there are lovely views over the water from the end of the road. SL TFTC
11/01/14. 8:13 AM. Cache #1223. 4th of 6 finds this morning (plus one GCA). Drove around from "Meowbert" and the google app tried sending me via Allawa Close, but it's a broken road. Once I realised this, I turned off Palmers Lane from Empire Bay Drive and followed it to the end. From there, it was just a park & grab. On to "Bush Tribe with a Main Road" next. TFTC }:)
Found 6:04 pm with AuroraEve. TFTC. Took the TB. LN SL. Good size cache. If I had a TB with me I'd drop it off good spot.
Nice place out here among the Mangroves. SL. Dropped a couple of TB's I had been holding on to for a while. TFTC.
Found this a couple of days ago.
We were too busy on school holidays and having a good time to log it then.

Wow! Decent sized container, but no swaps inside. Took the mighty Suzuki grand vitara right up to the end, and it was almost as easy as driving on the tar. TFTC!!!
Not easy to spot lots of fun though left a treasure.
we did become badly bogged in that pothole everyone keeps mentioning so care is required! better yet leave the car where the tar runs out and walk in.

A nice walk down the end of the road from where I'm staying. Couldn't make it right to the end as it was flooded. Is a shame there weren't more swaps for a cache this size, but a work in progress! Tftc
Nice big cache container, had no swag to drop.

I visited at low tide, which was probably a good idea given the dampness underfoot. A nice hide and well concealed. TFTC.
We like this area and have kayaked around the bay, which is too shallow for most boats, and into Cockle Bay. I am not sure if a cache should be placed in the wetlands reserve, but thanks for the hide. We drove into GZ but backed out.

Well! After an emergency in the family, the planned trip to the LCNP-CITO couldn't take place. Lucky for us, i,riblit was publishing and we got to leave ASAP for this cache, basically as soon as it was published, we were out the door and in the car, on the way.
Traffic was pretty bad and we were thinking, nah, no way! But, when we arrived, Equity left the car at the head of the trail and made a dash for it!
Good choice, it was soggy as it had been raining profusely the day before!
After a quick search, the cache was found and it was swiftly signed. Unfortunately, we left our swag at home and so didn't make any swaps. Took heaps of pics though!
Thanks for the cache yellowplease. It brightened up our day.

Easy find in company of xPhenoms, Who I think is at the moment re-washing his New Mitisubhi Pajero
after nearly sinking it in a pothole at the end of the track. TFTC
