I can no longer maintain this cache due to having moved interstate. Seems to be lost, sorry.
Quite a few DNFs in a row. Might be worth checking if it is still where it should be?
We had a look, wouldn't say it was a good look but it was a look - no cache here for us today.

Spent considerable time searching for this one with help of 3 relatives but no success. Even came back in the evening and searched with a torch but still no luck.

We are in town with our caravan club for a very busy week of socialising! However, today was free from organised activities, at least in daytime, so we managed out for a geocaching walk. Unforunately, when we approached GZ, there was a small group of muggles enjoying their afternoon tea at the table nearby. It was therefore necessary to stroll on down to the riverside to enjoy the river views, then to stroll through under the bridge to see the views fom a different angle. When themuggles departed we soon had the cache in hand at 3.20 pm. TNLNSL. Many thanks, harleyria, for introducing us to this attractive corner in what we think is a a lovely little town, and very welcoming also.
A nice place to stop to drink my coffee & have a snack on my way to the Parkville Mega event...

Had been staying in St Arnaud for a couple of days on my way to Melbourne to catch the ferry to Tassie. Today I had some time to kill so I stopped off in Avoca for lunch and looked at the GPS and saw 2 caches that were within walking distance so it was a good opportunity to stretch my legs. [^]
As I was walking to GZ there was a muggle nearby playing around with his car. I spotted the cache, grabbed it and moved away to sign the log, then put it back and the muggle had no idea and took no notice of me at all.
Thanks for the cache harleyria.

Get out of jail card is in play, we have taken two weeks off from the farm. Mini tour from Porepunkah to where-ever and back catching some caches on the way
Day 9 - Kara Kara National Park, near Stuart Mill to Great Western
Heading down the Sunraysia with caravan in tow, arrived in Avoca in time to do the laundry!
Filling in the time while the washing machine was filling with water. We have now realised that our "almost" neighbours BettyBoo and Robmc have also passed through town today!
Found this cache by the river. Thanks harleyria

A few days off so BettyBoo3747 and I decided to head to St Arnaud. It is not often that I'm not working on this event weekend, but this one coincided with my day's off.
Day one and we travelled from Willy to St Arnaud. We started a bit of caching on this side of Ballarat, and finished off with the LP trail by deadly treadlies in the afternoon.
Not a lot of water to be seen in the river today, but the park still looks nice.
BB spotted the cache and then replaced the log sheet inside.
Thanks, Robmc.

#14811. A travelling day for Robmc and me as we make our way to St Arnaud for the weekend. A nice little tally of 20 caches found before we reached town in time for a late lunch. After settling in we unloaded the bicycles and headed out to do one of the trails just out of town. A good day with a total of 40 caches found.
Noticed the request for a new log sheet so removed the old one and left a new one today. In fact another cacher had already left a slip of paper so we transferred that name to the new sheet so there is only one sheet in there now. All good.
Thanks harleyria

"My pleasure to add more paper to the bison tube..." [see pic], { I also left the old paper, all fits well within }
This one did my head in for a bit in the search but it was eventually located (lucky I am tall {6ft} ha ha).
It's 'New' log was signed at 08:44 on Sunday the 14th of October, 2018 and replaced as found with not a Muggle in cooee.... as we like it, right?
Many thanks harleyria, for showing me this most cool parking spot along a picturesque area of Avoca.

Just asking a favour from the next keen Geocacher to bring along a small width paper length and inserting it into the small bison tube please? I am out of the state right now and it will be many months before I can get to this cache. So very sorry for the inconvenience, but I know we all try to help each other in the Geocaching community! Many, many thanks
Bit of a run north west from Ballarat heading outback
Late log but as noted log was full

The rain ensured that this lovely little park was totally free of muggles. We hunted around for the cache and soon found it. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks harleyria for the cache.
Thx. Nice place under the bridge. Couple of fishos here dropping a rod at the time and a good place for a picnic. Toilets and playground included.
Another quick find for the day. Lovely spot for a little rest and then off again. TFTC harleyria
Quick easy find thanks for the cache harleyria

I grew up here in the 50'&60's and love coming back to home there is lots of history tftc i had a bit of difficulty recording my name as pen was slipping on the paper a good hide
Avoca was such a nice place to stop - neat and tidy, well laid out, attractive parks and gardens, award-winning pies, and some caches. At home this one would have been called 'Hanging around Avoca' given its style. Thanks for adding to our trip.
Found enroute to the silo art trail with Tony and Anne. Sneaky little hide. TFTC JenneG and Budgy
Found by a new member of our crew (Hunter - well done buddy!) A nice quick find so the. It allowed time for the playground. TFTC
Spent some time in the wrong area after a rethink and careful looking we had it.Nice hide Harleyria
We're out for a Sunday drive and a picnic and a few geocaches. Thanks for bringing us to a part of our beautiful country we wouldn't otherwise had stopped at.
Tyfc. On my way from Lexton to Brisbane. Had a wonderful Xmas and new year with my girls and grandchildren. Parked right next to GZ.
Found with Beaker on a week-long 4wd trip through the high country. Highlights included walking to the summit of Mt Kosciuszko, sunset from the top of Mt Pinnibar, seeing an Eastern Water Dragon and having the living daylights scared out of us by a deer at Wonnangatta! Along the way we rescued a bushwalker from a 7km limp with a sprained ankle, climbed mountains, crossed rivers, saw many huts and beautiful scenery, did some excellent 4wd tracks and some great caches. Thanks
Found with FerociousFlea while on our 8 day 4WD sojourn through the the High Country. We were collecting caches that we liked the look of as we went along.

late log - found last winter I think - it was cold - on way to Tarnagulla - good hide found by rookie cacher with sharp eyes tftc
Found during our summer tour to Vic and SA. Stopped in Avoca because we just happened to spot a good friend parked by the river as we crossed over the bridge. After a lunch break, the geo-son and I strolled around the GZ and soon had the CIH, despite the presence of several caravanning muggles. Many thanks harleyria
So the Mega is over for another year but there are still more geocaches to find....
Sorry for the generic log but now they are alll starting to merge into one in my brain.
Thanks to harleyria from mogni

A cool stop on a hot day. The caravaners were already parked and it wasn't that late.
Found as part of my 2017 Alexandra Mega experience. This cache added to the fun and enjoyment of my trek to the east and back from Adelaide. While there were a few thunder storms, there were mainly clear skies and I never saw a snake! [^]
Thanks to harleyria and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

Enjoyed a stroll through the park to find this cache still in excellent order, dry and in place. Happy Searching!
Stayed in Avoca for the night got up early to do a few caches befor3 heading home.
Someone was camped overnight so I tried to be quiet will searching for this one.
A couple of laps of GZ and I eventually found the sneaky little cache.
Signed the log and left the place to the sleeping caravaners.
Thanks harleyria TFTC.

TFTC. We had left Green Lake outside Corop this morning heading to Green Hill Lake outside Ararat. We took a detour through Maryborough and stopped here in Avoca for a short break and cache. GPS settled but because of tree cover it was not as accurate as normal. We did the circuit and found the little devil in the second of our choices. Lovely area. We will be local Maryborough when we return from the Mega in a few weeks.
I was heading home from the St Arnaud weekend picking up some caches along the way. I only realised while planning today, that I was 12 caches off my 12,000th find.
Having found my 12,000, I headed on to this, the next cache. I'd just bought lunch in town, and on the map, this looked like a nice place to sit and eat it. As I approached GZ, I spotted GMJ3191 just about to drive off, so we stopped for a short chat. Found the cache without any trouble.
My thanks for the cache, harleyria.

On the way to St Arnaud with 6hinemoa2, tagalong and 08151605 and had to get a few along the way. A cuppa break was needed and a park with a cache. Bonus. 08151605 had this one spotted quickly. Thanks harleyria

A short stroll from the other cache in town and again au.fait spotted this guy so with log signed it was time to hit the trail to St Arnaud.
A short walk from E meets W had us here for a quick find and some pleasant scenery TFTC harleyria
Found when staying in thks great little free camp, traveling from Coolamon to Colac
LexiRover laid her hands on this one after a short search. We had some interesting looks from the grey nomads, but that just goes with the territory! TFTC
After caching around Ararat till 3am this morning and a good overnight rest in Elmhurst, it was up early and onto Maryborough to log a cache in the only regional Vic LGA I am still missing - the Central Goldfields Shire.
Not there yet, but I was glad to make a quick find here in the crisp morning air.
Thanks, harleyria.

After saying goodbye to kenare we headed to the bakery (yum) then came to this spot to eat. Lovely little spot on a beautiful winters day. Finally got the little fellow after jumping to and fro. Tftc and bringing us here
Holidaying for a few days in Avoca and this was our second for the day. Some fresh batteries brought the Magellan back to life and we approached gz. And then the gpser and our Samsung tablet went crazy, probably the trees. So we slowly followed our devices, and slowly zeroed in on the correct spot. And Carleen proved again that she is a good geocacher and politely pushed me to the place to stand to see this one. Thanks for this one.
Happy to say this lovely little cache is once more back in place after extensive renovations to this area by the Avoca council. The children's playground has been moved to the center gardens of the main Sunraysia Highway in the town centre. Amenities block still here as well as ample parking.
Now that Avoca council has completed their renovation project, this cache will be enabled by 23rd April 2017. I am interstate right now and have organised replacing this cache by that date.
Still waiting for the re-opening of this area by the ACC. Soon as this occurs, the geocache will be back in place.
The location of this cache is temporarily closed due to recent flooding. Avoca council is in the process of rejuvenating this entire area, by relocating the childrens playground to the Main Street Barbecue area opposite the bakery.
This will leave a larger area available for RVs and caravans to park and use the amenities block.
As soon as this area is re-opened, this cache will once more be enabled, with the same co-ordinates.
Apologies for this state of affairs, and hopefully the rejuvenation will not take too much longer to complete.

This will soon be back in place - hope to get there to fix this in the next couple of weeks - so sorry for the inconvenience
With 4 DNFs over a few months, it's clearly time to check this out for myself and fix whatever needs to be done. Please be patient until I get a chance to do this. It may still be there, but perhaps replaced in the wrong position, so it could still be findable. More as soon as I can investigate! Thanks to all

We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out! We're a tipp'n it's a miss'n.
Thanks anyway to harleyria for bringing us to this location.

Not sure if we just didn't have our "caching" eyes switched on today, or the cold weather, or trying to avoid campers nearby but this one alluded us today, we will return to try again though. Lovely area, the youngest member of our team made good use of the nearby playground too
unfortunately no luck for me today, maybe it was my eyes or the freezing cold and heavy rain, I'll be back though!
Omg this one has taken me two attempts and even on the 2nd attempt I had trouble! No one at GZ but when I turn its like Bourke St. Seriously?! Luckily I had my geo son playing at the park so at least I could watch him playing whilst I waited. After walking back and forth back and forth finally had my hand on it. Thank God! When all the logs had smileys I was starting to feel like a big dumb dumb. I can finally knock that off my list. Yay! TFTC!
