Thanks to all who found it over the years, it's been up a faily long time!

I believe I was in the right spot, got a lot of grass rash but couldn't find the cache. Might try again if I have pants rather than shorts.

#3901 Mr BGF had two goes at getting the coords but found it too tedious. Mrs BGF to rescue, she has a lot more patience and is a game enthusiast. After driving up to the nearby hill, we discovered in hindsight we could have easily walked here after completing a nearby Cautionary Tale cache, doh! Looks like we also disturbed a young couple having some fun in the bushes nearby too Surprised. Mr BGF eventually spied the clever cache hide here. Thanks for the unique puzzle and hide here Team PacketStorm.

Finallly got back to this one today. Solved it ages ago and even tried checking it more recently and didn't get far. However it was apparlntly near the original hide and that is where I found it today. A fun if long cache find.

Cache was replaced and ready to go

I would like to sincerely apologize for how long this cache has been down. Life has taken a few turns lately but we are back on track.

GZ has not moved but is slightly easier then before. I will be removing the note from description about step 2.

Thank you for your patience and happy hunting.

Went passed here tonight and the entire area has had a clean up.
We will decide in the coming days on the fate of this cache.

No luck for me today. I think this one's gone

02-Apr-18
A great puzzle and I’ve not seen that way to hide coordinates before. Was in the area today with liambaxter88 but couldn’t make the find here. Thanks anyway.

02-Apr-18
No luck today despite trying to PAF. At least the co-ords are correct Sad

01-Apr-18
no luck today..... right coords.. but no sign of cache

19-Mar-18
I played the game a couple of times but never did come up with a value for 'A' but no matter a plausible GZ could be arrived at through some educated guesswork. BendSinister and I spotted the structure after a short walk but things have gone somewhat awry here. Whomever decided to topple the trig point didn't stop there! Upending the relevant structure caused the cache to slide right out. Fortunately the cache could still be spotted in the grass with a bit of careful searching. Phew!
Thanks for the fun Team Packetstorm. Your caches are quite entertaining!

19-Mar-18
Quite an amusing puzzle, this one. Can't say I've completed another quite it like before. And it's an extremely long time since I did *anything* like this more broadly. I actually failed to find one required fragment, but I got by in the end. leafotwind had solved this one already, so we obviously had it on the list of places to visit. We found the cache (after misplacing it briefly amidst long grass) but things seem to be slightly amiss at GZ at present. Accessory structures don't seem to be in quite the intended configuration, at a guess. Thanks Team Packetstorm!

Apologies for the late log, I've only just realised I've never logged this cache.

Such an enjoyable day caching with Team Crackers and Squa (now Sharon14).

We primarily focused on the A B 4 C and Cautionary Tales series and then grabbed a few others, yours being one of them.

Thanks so much Team PacketStorm for placing this cache for our enjoyment.

What a wonderful view and a great cache.
Found with Team Crackers and micaparamedic. Thanks for a great day.
Thanks Team PacketStorm

15-Mar-18
Having had the answers to a few mysteries down this way a plan was hatched with squa and micaparamedic to try and complete the A B 4 C and Cautionary Tales series as well as a few other random caches.
We really enjoyed most of the puzzles although some has us confused for quite awhile before the penny dropped. We have to say that we enlisted the help of a person of a different generation who is far more apt at these things and we have had the co-ords for quite awhile so today was the day that we were going to try our luck. We got to gz and sorted out what we had to do but hadn't read the cache page thoroughly and wandered back to the car to get a tool. The girls then yelled out, it's okay as they read the page and found what we need to sign the log.

Thanks Team Packet Storm for the cache.

Got the co-ords for this one some time ago and finally decided to grab it whilst out getting some lunch. TFTC - caontainer was damp/manky and had a guardian living inside but log is wet & dry.

Off I go to Melbourne! Down from Canberra for a caching trip around the Mega! Big GrinCoolBig Grin

So the Mega had ended Sad BUT more caching had to be done! Big Grin

Swung by this one on the way to collecting a nearby puzzle series...it would be rude if I didn't! Razz Took me a moment to work out what was needed with this one, but once I discovered the provided 'tool' I had cache in hand for the signing in a jiffy!

Thanks for the hide, Team PacketStorm Smile Giving this one a fave Smile

Day 2 of our caching around Torquay. Weather a bit threatening but we set off to complete most of the puzzles we had solved back at home in Tasmania. Didn't really have the skills to get the puzzle but with geo son-in-law did get to the end and solve the puzzle. really well done and unique.
Thought we may have to miss it because of road closure but way in just before the no go zone. Really had to work hard to locate the actual log but made it in the end.

This was fun!

I'd looked at the cache notes and the link a few times, with the link not really working for me. A little while ago I wondered if my browser was to blame - and it was! This was a fun and novel way of obtaining coordinates! I was a bit rusty the first time through and spent quite a bit of time trying to run away, the second time I figured out what was required and soon had the coordinates.

Then it was a matter of waiting until I had time to retrieve the cache. AutumnTree and I decided that maybe after dinner was a good time to go - so we did! We didn't realise that there was quite such a long (not really *that* long) walk involved, but it was very pleasant on a coolish evening after rain earlier today. The hide was located easily enough, and retrieving the cache took some patience, but it was soon in our hands and the log being signed.

Log signed and all replaced as found.

TFTC!

Out with MaggieDot to find a mystery she had solved, leaving our husbands to deal with kids at bedtime alone (cue evil cackle Smile ) I had never been out here before and the ponies certainly have a large area to trot around. Having hurt my back and been confined to bed for a month through Jan and Feb, I found the hill a bit of a challenge. I doesn't take long to loose your fitness! It was nice out here on a cool autumn evening. Thanks for the cache Team PacketStorm.

We drove past Mt Duneed yesterday on the way back from Torquay. I asked Mrs P if there were any interesting caches in the area, as I was driving - she picked this one.

We drove down the very corrugated road to get to the reserve and then realized that we couldn't play the game on our phones. As the kids loved playing at the beach in Torquay so much yesterday we decided we would go a bit further today down the coast again today to the Anglesea area. So we would be able to give this one another try.

This morning at home before leaving we got cracking on the game. It didn't work in my prefered browser so I tried it in Firefox. All good, except I am no good at video games. What to do? Well consult with the kids of course. Middle child had it sorted in about 15minutes and we had the coords in hand with some help from Mum. (its ironic that we use caching as an antidote to screen time for the kids)

This one is a definate fave from us Team PacketStorm for the work that must have gone into it.
It was a novel way of getting the coords which the middle geo kid really enjoyed and the walk to the GZ and the view from GZ was really nice.

TFTP Team PacketStorm . Will owe you the fave as soon as we have earnt another one.

PS . In a past life I had been here before, well at least to the Mobile Phone Base station - about 20 years ago - as a young engineer for a telco. I came here back in the days of the old AMPs Analog Phone system (018 for those old enough to remember). In those days to do network frequency plan retunes for the system to fix up interference, we had to visit all the sites over a series of nights and manually retune the frequency combiners in the middle of the night. Thankfully a few years later , auto tune combiners were installed, and we could retune the sites from the comfort of our office!

Geelong Day 4, last day in town.
An early start as we were caching on the childrens book trail today.
We found this an excellent series, some wonderfull hides & amazing containers.
We realised what was required to reach the container as it was down the bottom.

Thanks for placing this cache Team PacketStorm

Wow, what a different cache. We clicked the link and started a great game and thought, ah the GeoKid would love this one. To which he did. With the coords now know, an afternoon wander with the GeoDog took us to the right spot and we found the container. We quickly located the magnet and started to go to work. It took a long time but finally we got it, after removing the spider....

Thanks for the different cache and a lovely spot with some great views.

Last day in Victoria.
Solved this puzzle in Queensland ready for today.
Promised fish and chips as only best flake in Victoria.
Grabbed our fish and chips and headed for this cache.
Arrived and the gate was open so we drove up to the top.
Ate our fish and chips while looking at the view.
Would be nice for a sheltered picnic table here.
Off to find the cache.
Oops put in the posted coordinates and headed down the hill.
Nothing here. Plodded back up the hill.
Arrived where I should have been.
Need a TOTT. Log retrieved and signed.

On the way out of town after mega duties completed (Mostly), but not before finding a couple of caches as well as a couple of trig points. A nice spot to take in the view, loved the puzzle and the gadget style cache at the final GZ.

Yet another cool location - WOO HOO!! Big Grin

During this 'extra long weekend', I attended my very first Australian Mega - held in a beautiful part of the world - Anglesea, Victoria. Cool

I also:
- shared some awesome moments with friends [^]
- laughed lots Big Grin and maybe even cried a lil Sad
- got some lovely hugs and a few playful slaps SurprisedWink
- became the resident paramedic on the trip (as I believe my favourite MICA paramedic recently retired Wink) - maybe it was because I seemed to be the one with the best stocked medication bag LOL
- completed a new power trail and found plenty of caches, including challenge caches I have either already qualified for, or very soon will [^]

I even achieved my 4000th cache find (in 10.5 months) Big Grin and found 10 different cache types in one day with the help of my beautiful buddies (including my tree climbing 'ex' LMAO) WinkRazz [^] Six events in total this weekend WOO HOO!!!

Thanks to everyone who assisted me whilst caching this weekend - particularly Ms Locus Cache who joined me on yet another girls road trip, and the lovely Clare007 who stayed with us, cached and then accompanied us home.

Thanks for the cache Team PacketStorm

Apologies for the late logging of the cache.

Found on Day 2 of Surf Coast Event four day adventure.

This was one of many puzzles we solved Thanks for organising the event home before our travels south. Today the job was to finish off the puzzle by hunting down and finding the caI qualified for the challenge cache as follows;e. Always enjoy a good puzzle.

The day started by heading out to Point Lonsdale and Queenscliff and then making our way around the Bellarine Peninsula through Portarlington and Clifton Springs, collecting puzzles and Earthcaches, before heading backing into Geelong. Straight after we tackled the AB4C series around Mount Dunadeed, attended a pre mega event and then moved north and grabbed the Puzzle Me Easy series before calling it a day!

Thanks Team PacketStorm for putting out the cache and the hunt! Big Grin

11-Nov-16
Up the top of the hill to grab this one, I was in the company of Ghostgums, The Green Geckos and Mistraluna. As we arrived, a swag of familiar faces were in the car park and we soon joined fellow QLD'ers Gullivers Travels54 and Cantcacheus2014, as well as Tassie Trekkers who I can only assume are from the apple isle... Big Grin

So, with quite a hoard of hunters now in the pack, we wet off for three caches in this area, this being the first. The container was playing hard ball and did not want to move with the aids we had on hand, so TGG broke into her bag of tricks, pulled out a "Gadget" and secured the cache for the crowd... [^]

A quick game of pass the log and with everyones visit secured, the container was replaced and we took off to the next closest.

Thanks for the puzzle and cache Team PacketStorm.

Up until relatively recently, I had thought it nigh on impossible that I would be coming over for the Surf Coast Mega Event, but unexpectedly, all the planets aligned and the seemingly improbable somehow became a possible. I then had a kick in the butt from a geocaching friend who said I should treat myself and come - so I did. Am here I am, in sunny Victoria, unlike rainy Stanthorpe last year - who would have thought!!

I was lucky enough to team up with Gunnie69, THE GREEN GECKOS and Ghost Gums, all from Brisbane, leaving me as the one West Aussie in the group. We all worked on the puzzles independently in the the lead up to the trip, then joined forces here in Victoria for an assault on mostly puzzle caches, but with a fair whack of Earth Caches, challenges and letterboxes, plus a smattering of other types thrown into the mix to spice it up a bit. Let's just say that we were after quality, not quantity, and that we came away more than happy with the caches that we did find whilst there.

I came home absolutely exhausted, but happy - both of which are my criteria for knowing if I had a good holiday or not. Big thanks to my fellow team mates for letting me join the team and for the awesome time we had caching together in Victoria - great group of people, lots of fun and adventures along the way, and of course, oodles of great caches to be found in many awesome locations.

Have to admit to enlisting muggle son to help me solve this one, however begrudgingly - he is a die hard gamer and completing this mission took up some of his own precious gaming time (I feel so guilty about that - NOT!!) Anyway, I appreciate the work that went into setting up this puzzle for us to enjoy, and in placing and maintaining the cache. Favourite point given. Thanks Team PacketStorm

24/09/2016 2:59:00 PM - I joined up with my caching friend Square_Pegs for a spot of spring caching and come here to find this cache in good condition with accurate co-ordinates. Retrieving this was looking good until we had a problem finding the tool we needed. Do we walk back to the car? Nope, the tool must be here somewhere so we searched but it was proving hopeful then SP found it where I had just looked! Ah, teamwork and a few minutes later I was signing the log.

Thanks Team PacketStorm Smile for bringing me here and for the puzzle.

Heading to Geelong with abl973, we were on a mission to find some more solved puzzles. This was one that was enjoyable to work out, and a method that I have not come across since. The location for GZ was fantastic, and coupled with a well executed hide it is definitely worthy of a favourite point. The thought and effort that has gone into the puzzle and the hide, including the handy tool is admirable.
Thanks to Team Packetstorm.

I'm giving this cache a favourite. It's the first time ever I looked at a puzzle, knew what to do AND got the geochecker to give me a green light the first try!
We found the cache easily and all the tools to retrieve it. The retrieval tool is a bit rusted.

Easy find Smile!

Another find by the McPhail family... TFTC

Found by Mary & David at 1555. What a wonderful view! Enjoyed that, the golden wattle, then retrieving the cache caused great fun. The game, plus the hide add up to a FP. Our thanks to Team PacketStorm.

This was probably one of the most fun puzzles I've ever solved. Super clever and super enjoyable - yay! With solved coordinates the real challenge began - how to access the cache within the reserve. Actually, even finding the entrance to the reserve took time hahaha. Eventually got there (drove a huge block first), but was thwarted by locked gates, and had to make my way across muddy fields and then sprinted half way up the hill but slowed to a jog for the rest. Very creative cache container that had me smiling, and a beaut view. What more could you ask for - definitely fave point worthy. Thanks for the fun! TFTC Smile

After playing the game a couple of times to get the required information. It was time to set off and find this guy. We pulled into the Rec Reserve, but what should greet us.....a locked gate!!! Looked at GPS, ahhh, still 700 metres away. Check our maps, and thought there must be another way in. And sure enough, found another locked gate, but we were only 300 metres away - much happier!!! Finally reached GZ, extracted the log - now who's got the pen...Mr H looked at me (Mrs H) and I looked at him. He swore he grabbed it when we got out of the car. So we improvised (didnt feel like going all the way back to the car) used a stick and some mud and scribed our name on the log sheet (we didnt date it sorry). And we did find that elusive pen...sitting next to the fence where we climbed through - lesson learned we both grab pens now when we get out of the car!!! Thank you Team PacketStorm for the cache!!!

# 10584. The first day of the ANZAC Day weekend and Robmc and I took a trip down Geelong way to gather up a couple of series and to do some cache maintenance at Queenscliff. We managed to get 40 for the day and had 1 DNF.

After finishing the AB4C series we called in here to collect this one. Rob had solved it but he has just shown me the task on the computer. Very cute - although we did have "Mission Failure" this time. Found the easy way to the top and after about 3 trips back to the car we had everything we needed to retrieve the cache and sign the log - on the new Rite-in-the-Rain log sheet we left there today. Good views from up here too but all was quiet elsewhere in the Reserve. Now off to Queenscliff for lunch.

Thanks Team PacketStorm

A trip around Greater Geelong with BettyBoo3747, with AB4C in the morning, and some maintenance and Shepherd's Road in the afternoon.

Played the game more than few times, but still was one number short. Narrowed that down and found the cache today.
Couldn't locate the tool, but fortunately I had a cache in the car that would serve the same purpose.
When we got the cache we found the logbook was chockers - lucky we had parked not too far away! Smile
BB replaced the log and we admired the view.
Thanks, Robmc.

Find #131 - Mystery #3

Cute little game! I did okay. When I'd found all but one of the clues, I just went through and plugged in 0 through to 9 as the missing digit then looked at which of the 10 proposed GZs was most plausible. This probably would have only worked for the specific digit I was missing. Then I went back and found the digit anyway. Yay confirmation!

I didn't expect I'd need to drive the way I did to get there, as I'd never been there before. That's one of the things I love about geocaching. Finding places I never knew about in a city I've lived in for close to 30 years! There was one horse float out there and besides that we had the reserve to ourselves.

I used the opportunity to walk far away from the Zetoeis!

I was pretty disoriented, and would have walked far more to the north if it wasn't for the GPS. I enjoyed the quick climb of the mount and quickly found GZ and the hide. I was beginning to consider firing up the cache page to confirm I didn't need to bring any tools of my own when I spotted the tool right in front of my face. It was a bit tricky using it but after the log was signed, the youngest Zetoei has a go at retrieving it and was quite capable.

The log is completely full. I had to sign on an angle. Thanks heaps for this cache!

I thought this cache was a great one from its inventive and addictive game to its clever hide in a very pretty spot.
I have to offer this one a favourite as its a beauty
Thanks Packetstorm

The long weekend meant no work and more time to cache,so we headed down to Geelong to find a few puzzle we had in the solved pile, the highlight being the book series by suscoe, one of the best series of caches I have done in awhile, the work that went into them is fantastic.. Thanks Team PacketStorm for the cache.

Found while out and about the long weekend with Rebel Acts. Had a great long day of caching starting early and finishing late. Some nice caches found in teh area. Thanks for the fun.

21-Feb-16
A pretty cool way to solve a cache puzzle to get coordinates. Took a few goes though as I missed a few numbers. Nice trek up to the cache on this overcast and slightly hazy day and a clever retrieval. Luckily I've seen one before so I quickly worked out how to access it. This was the best version of this kind of hide that I've seen. Log was a little damp but still signable. Tftc.

Found with Bazinga01 on a cache run to complete our Monthly Mystery Cache Challenge. We parked at the oval and made the walk up the hill lucky the full moon was out it gave us a bit of extra light, Cache and tool were found easy and cache retrieved soon after (we have done one of these before). TFTC

18-Feb-16
I headed out for a night cache run with Arkbell80 to target Mystery caches that we'd solved over the last couple of weeks. It was our last push to get our tally for the Mystery Cache Month challenge and we've romped it in. This was an interesting one to attempt at night but once at GZ we found the necessary tool and had cache signed in no time.

Off I go today to go and turn it into a smiley. Found the tool needed and soon had the cache in hand to sign and then return to its hidey hole.
Thanks Team PacketStorm for the game and cache

Realised I had this one sitting in my mysteries solved for a very long time, but hadn't actually gone out to find it! So after the week's rain, decided to roll out on a Saturday and finally tackle this one. After deciding I wasn't going to risk bogging the car, parked it at the nearby oval and began the trek on foot only to realise, with dismay, that there was a path that led right near to GZ that could have easily been driven!

Alas, the hike up here was well worth it for, in my opinions, some of the best views the Geelong region has to offer. Between that, and the very, very clever cache construction, this one is worthy of a blue ribbon for sure (and a revisit with the GeoGirlfriend and a picnic blanket once the weather improves). Thanks for the cache and for getting me out to this obscure but wonderful area!

Dad worked this one out a while ago. He and the girls were all impressed with the game. Today we had the chance to go hunting for GZ. On the way miss 9 was treated to the sighting of a fox running down the road - something she has always wanted to see, but always seems to miss out when anyone else spots one. The car erupted into great excitement, which I think is what eventually scared the fox away. Off to the cache now..

The wind was strong and we were all freezing, but we survived the walk and after a bit of fiddling managed to extract the log. The log itself is quite dry, but the outer covering was quite wet and suffering for it. It may need some fresh tape soon. We have seen this type of hide before, and think they are really clever. Lots of fun for the kids. We all really enjoyed the whole experience of this cache, so giving it a favourite point. Thanks!

Have found this one is the past, yet another log that has gone missing for no reason. This is a very clever cache, with the great view. Almost bogged the car on the way up to this one as the time i did it was real boggy. But is well worth it on a clear day.

We thought we had the day planned out pretty well, squeezing in a Pi Event before we went to a dinner with friends. When we realised that we still needed to find a puzzle cache to grab another souvenir for the day, we decided on a detour on our way home from the dinner. Luckily, we had a solved puzzle up our sleeve, one that we had not gone to find yet.
The puzzle solving steps were made some time last year. Since we have little patience for the type of game required here, we found only a couple of the needed digits before we decided to leave it for another day. This day came when Indinana08 was home for a visit. Much more skilled in this kind of activity and much more knowledgeable in the finer details of required moves, it took him next to no time to get the numbers. The rest just fell into place.
Tonight, we parked the Wings near the entrance and made our way up the hill and into the reserve. As we approached GZ, we immediately knew what needed to be done here. We tried to annoy the resident spider population as little as possible though we could not quite avoid disturbing some of them.
Thanks Team_PacketStorm for this challenge!
And now, to solve some more puzzle caches for another sticky situation ...

Was out here with the CO and found the well constructed and thought out cache. I had helped out someone from the "pre-gaming generation" solve this one months ago, but have beaten them to it, purely by chance! Thanks for the hide and the lift!

Left the solution of this one to alchey as its not really my thing, so was happy to tag along for a search as we were one coord missing and a find whilst out picking up puzzles we'd solved over the week. Luckily it was only the second coord we decided to plot out on the same road. As darkness was approaching we carefully picked our way to gz in 2 wheel drive cars, glad it was drier weather lately. Gz was soon spotted and necessary tool made retrieval quick. Very large spider has made itself at home here. Nice views. Tftc

This was an interesting way to work out the coords but unfortunately I missed one digit, played again but still no so I used google maps to look for suitable locations and played with numbers. Headed off to the most suitable spot with Geordiefamily the long way in a two wheel drive, which made it all the way Smile. At GZ the cache was quickly spotted and retrieved.
Thanks for the Cache Team PacketStorm

We were out on a caching trip with DAB and we were talking about caches out this way and remembered the awesome game used to obtain the co-ordinates for this one and realised we had both already worked it out, so we set to collect this one, after driving around and trying to find out hot to get to GZ we finally found a likely path, we liked the unique log extraction method, we really enjoyed the view there too, it defiantly deserves a favourite point for the way the coordinates are acquired, Thanks for the cache Team PackeStorm.

This puzzle has been on my "to collect" list for ages. Had played the game and obtained the final co-ords ages ago, but for some reason had never collected the cache. In the company of The Tritonz we made the assault today. The hardest part today was finding the correct way to the cache. Tried a few different options, but we finally found the easy route. A very enjoyable cache guys, well done. A fave point for the way we had to obtain the co-ords !! TFTC Team Packetstorm. Big Grin

First gave this game a crack and gave up as I kept dying. Came back a few weeks later- read keys and soon was smashing out the levels.

Made two big mistakes this morning coming to pick it up!

First mistake was I drove to puzzle coords not gz lol.

Second mistake was I mistook this cache for the 'climb' cache by the co's. So started looking at trees, thought I spotted a well camo'd ammo tin, climbed quarter way to realize no cache! Read notes and realised wrong spot and decided to come back later in the day. On dusk I found a spot to park after driving back and forth and did the walk to GZ. Soon had cache in hand as on dark.

Very creative idea doing the game and creative hide as well- a well deserved favorite point!

After finding 13 rather unimpressive Woodlands 100 caches we can return to this one and give it a well deserved favourite point Smile

Really is a good one- sad it didn't win the awards (we nominated and voted for it Big Grin)

A little bit of fun to fill in a rainy night.

I had solved this awhile ago, bit of fun.

Nice drive to GZ it was too.

Was here a few years ago completing some other caches too.

The extraction I had seen on a similiar cahe before.

Using the required tools we soon signed the log.

This was a cool spot.

I tried to chase the rabbits.

Then we looked out and I helped get the log book.

I had fun.

The puzzle became very addictive and eventually I won.
Armed with the co-ords I walked up to GZ and as soon as I saw the container I knew what I had to do. Unfortunately the 'tool' required was not there. I tried unsuccessfully to get the cache without it but ended up having to walk back to the car for my special Bushfire tool again. That meant I had the cache in hand quickly.
It will need repair.

Attended this Geocache again after a report that it has been damaged!
Arriving at GZ, we instantly noticed that the magnet has grown legs!

We have added a magnet nearby on a piece of fencing wire. This one should not go missing!

Just a note, If you are desperate for Hard Drive magnets, please contact me, I have hundreds!

Wow, after I had had a big day on the nearby recently published G2Q, I was able to persuade the other half that we could pick up a few local puzzle cache I had solved. I was particularly keen to pick this cache up, as it has been nominated for the Victorian Cache of the Year Awards. I enjoyed collecting the clues, although I am not particularly good at these sorts of games. I had to play it a number of times!!

We were able to find the container with out difficulty, but obtaining the log to sign did prove to be a challenge. I let the CO know of our difficulties. The log was eventually signed and we were away.

Thanks for both parts of this cache Team PacketStorm, they are both fantastic!! A well deserved nomination for the awards.

Heading to Anglesea to meet some friends, so we did a bit of shopping at Waurn Ponds and then punctuated our travels by collecting a few caches along the way. Well what a saga - collecting the numbers was an adventure in itself! We are much more comfortable with board games!
Arriving at GZ, we quickly realised the nature of the task and located the appropriate tool. The tool tried hard but lacked the strength to complete the task. Luckily we had another device in the car and we were able to gently persuade the little fella to come out. With the log signed all has been returned for the next cacher to discover and enjoy.

Did the ground work for this one ages ago but never got round to finding it, so with a few new caches popping up in the general area, I thought I'd do a bit of a sweep and grab them all. This was the first. I eventually decided where to park and walked in up the track hoping the pistol shooters were otherwise occupied today Surprised.
As I approached GZ, I spotted the cache immediately. That was the easy bit! First of all, accessing the container required a couple of tools and some brute strength Surprised, then extraction proved more of a challenge than I suspect it has been for some others. I also had a tool, but couldn't get it to work, so improvised with something I found nearby and eventually had the cache in hand (although I now suspect I should have tried a different approach).
Like Na'wal I found the cache slightly damp on the outside, but the log inside was fine. I put everything back, had a quick look at the view and headed back down.
Thanks Team PacketStorm! Big Grin

First find of the new year! Solved the puzzle and headed off to GZ with matt_geo. It was raining so no-one else was crazy enough to be out exploring. We were able to drive to GZ in 4WD, but definitely not suitable for normal car, but walk from cricket ground is feasible in nicer weather. Very clever construction. TFTC.

First find for 2014. What a great cache. Enjoyed the game for the clues then a pleasant drive to GZ with robber44 (well it would have been if it weren't for the pouring rain!) and a trickly little container to boot. Awesome effort guys! TFTC.

Found! After clicking on the link for the game, I was on Level 4 & having fun before I realised that I needed to collect the clues during the game. I played the game for the second time & gathered the clues except for (F), couldn't see how to find it. However, I thought that seeing this was the last one, I shouldn't have to much trouble. I then played it once more for fun Smile

Once on the road, past the cemetery & school, I found the entrance. The area was deserted. Was a great view from here, another place I wouldn't have come if it wasn't for geocaching. Found the geocache quickly & soon figured out what needed to be done. I think someone has poured water in here, cache was quite wet but the log was fine.

Thanks for this hide Team PacketStorm, was a great one & it's a favourite point from me Smile

Found it- my second puzzle cache.

I had been trying to solve some puzzles in the Torquay area a couple of months back when I came across this one. As soon as I worked out what it was about I excitedly started to play. I usually am pretty good at computer games but this one caused me some initial grief before I worked out how to kill the enemies. After that I completed the game and collected the crystal before working out the co-ords so I played again. Then I discovered I had missed A and I played yet another time Wink. Third time lucky I had all of the numbers and had the co-ords.

Today while driving back to Melbourne we decided this would be a great time to grab it. We arrived at the reserve and looked for parking but didn't find any so we parked by the oval. Then Geoson, Geomum and Geodad jumped out of the car and began the walk up the surprisingly tall hill. The views were really spectacular. We were a bit worried about snakes but it was fine. Anyway when we arrived at GZ geoson worked out what the container was immediately grabbed out his new cachepack which had the required tool but was too weak. Then he remembered a cache he had seen on youtube and found the tool to extract the log. The cache was in good condition and we returned it about halfway down. Another thing that added spice was the barbed wire the we were around Surprised.

Overall a great cache that would get our favourite usually but has been narrowly beaten by the new city cache and our first FTF Unoctium.

A surprisingly good view from what looks to a fairly low hill as it's approached.
The inside wasn't where expected and was a simple retrieval.
Then as I was signing the log scouter played with the container and put it where was expected but the supplied tool just wasn't up to the task. Fortunately I had my tool bag with me so we make the retrieval to replace the log.
We ended up leaving the cache in much the same manner as we found it, so as not to disappoint the next cacher.
Thanks

Solved this one a little while ago and saved it for the August streak, now 30/31. A great cache concept, a great location with great views. was able to drive right up to the cache across the countryside in the 4WD - wouldn't recommended it in a normal vehicle though. Thanks to Team PacketStorm for a great cache. A favourite for me. Well done !!

Had the co-ordinates sitting around for a while and so on the way home from the kids movies it was "game on" and up the hill we went. The view from up here was great this arvo and just like the description said, everything was right there for us to stamp the log.
