West New South Wales trip 2020. Day 9. I was joined by MinnieK and Fitzy_1965 for a trip planned to go from Goulburn to Forbes, Nyngen, Cobar, Broken Hill, Wentworth and Balranald. Distance wise today was short, but we spent the day in South NSW between Deniliquin and Finley via Moama.

These BRT caches were all to interesting locations of history or fascinating artwork.

Thanks for the cache gregandjudi

Headed out on a 10-day trip to outback NSW with fitzy_1965 and albida33.

Day 9 saw us heading from Deniliquin to Finley via some more back roads. In logs, we signed as MK, F65 & A33.

Went back for more on this series today but again played havoc with my hayfever! Not sure what it was but it really seemed to just be this area. Quick find here today.

Day 9 - Finished caching around Deniliquin, grabbed some more of the BRT series, then headed to Finley. Next stop for the day. Parked nearby for a quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, then we headed off to the next one.

Thanks gregandjudi !!

Had some work up this way and so dropped into Womboota to look at the caches - wasn't certain if I would have time for all three but in the end I did. This looks like a nice piece of bush to walk around but no time today - took two attempts for the cache (was a lazy search first time) and though has been wet in the past was fine today. TFTC

16-Oct-18
Found and signed on our way home in Adelaide from a birthday function in Melbourne.
We spent a night in Echuca and then did part of this trail continuing on our way.
Interesting to note that nearly all of the buildings in the town were churches.
Thank you .

An event in Echuca for lunch, some geocaching in the afternoon! It was time to head over the border and do a 'bit of a loop'. I was trying to get all of the BRT series, but I ran out of time and had to cut it short. Thanks for the cache, gregandjudi.

Found by Mary & David, in company with Alansee, at 1510. And the Old School Winery is open! When we're too old to cache, we'll have to come back to places like this that we don't have time to visit now. Our thanks to gregandjudi.

Out in Pat the 4x4 (huge Tb on back Window if you want to discover us) having some fun.

This was day 19 of our trip out of Sydney to the southern states being Victoria and Tasmania.

The cache itself was quickly and easily found and after the log had been signed and the cache replaced as found, we were soon back in the air conditioned geo vehicle and out of the extreme heat. We enjoy driving the back roads much better than the highways. There are so many small towns to discover and history to absorb. Thank you for bringing us here. TFTC.

Hmm !! A back roads trail.
What a great idea Big Grin
I arrived via the back roads from the north, which I am sure are way bumpier and dustier than the actual back roads on the trail Razz

Before hitting the bitumen again, I took the drive around Womoota to visit the arboretum and nearby Skool or Arts.

This cache was a real easy find Big Grin

On a three day tour in Nth Vic and Riverina for work, I took the opportunity to grab a few caches to stretch my legs or late in the day finds in an area I am familiar with pre caching.

Quick park and grab, glad I spotted this quicker than the last cache!!

Thanks for the cache!!!

In Echuca for our second Family Reunion based around the Winter Blues Festival weekend and this year our Geocaching Sister and Brother-in-Law baby&Mrs gopher so naturally some time was found for caching. Bazz had a list of caches on the ‘hit list’ and this was one of them.
Loved the informative signs placed for this series.
Locations like this are 'the icing on the cake' of Geocaching with the locals hosting us anonymously to their favourite spots.

Our stay along the river this time was only a short one, so I hadn't had much of a chance to come out and play. This morning, I left the rest of the family snoring in their beds and drove west along the northern side of the river to see how many smileys I could manage before we had to pack our bags.

An easy first grab on the return journey. Thanks, gregandjudi.

[:(!] After visiting my geoson and his family for a couple of days at Barham we are on our way back home, on the way picking up a few caches along the way and this was one of them, parked the geoKa as close as possible to GZ and walked in form there, on arrival at GZ the cache was located and it was in quickly in hand.
