Heading to the East Coast and then north in our RV, grabbing assorted caches along the way. A special thanks to all the cache owners that make this hobby possible. Thanks for the fun, caches and hides. All logs marked with a circled "GB". Today was a special day we rode the Metro into DC and walked way to many miles in the processing of grabbing 20 Virtuals and 7 Earthcaches. If any answers are required they are or will be messaged to the appropriate CO.
Made the find under some cloudy skies that were threatening rain. Lovely monument.
Answer to the LR has been sent to the CO.

I have always wanted to stop by and visit this spot but never had reason to until today. TFTC.
I stopped by here on my trip to Washington this week. I was very surprised to find how small, plain and isolated this monument is. I would think that WW1 deserves better than this.
I really enjoyed working through these earthcaches at the monuments, and learned a lot along the way. Thanks for placing them.

I discovered this memorial when I was a teenager back in 1970 or so. Back then the area was overgrown and rarely visited. I only noticed the memorial by looking out the window of the Washington Memorial one day. I'm so glad they trimmed back this area making this memorial easy to see by anyone driving down Independence or walking near the Reflecting Pool. When we were wandering the mall picking up caches this morning, I had to come to visit my old friend and learn what he was made of. Thanks!
[center][navy]Yesterday I arrived in Washington DC. Today was sightseeing with geocaching on the top of my to-do-list. I started in the morning. The weather was perfect for that, it was not too hot and there were only some lonley drops of rain.
This is a plain memorail. But it reminds at a great war in the history. I think the memorials are a good idea to keep these terrible times of war in the mind of the people. That they think about. [/navy]
[green]Thanks for this earthcache at this special place![/green]

11722 22:58:00 Spent the whole day wandering round DC on foot, then walked back to the Metro station around midnight only to find it was closed! Did most of the caches at night which was good because it was cooler. It's a nice city to walk round at night anyway, as it adds a little extra at many locations. TFTC
Visited the WW I Memorial as we toured the area. Nice but less impressive than some of the others. Thanks for pointing out the type of stone used.
Stopped by this sit while visiting Washington with my GeoDad. Thanks for the fun.
Found with ForesterCat & FiddlingFox while wandering the mall on a great summer day. Thanks for bringing us here.
Found with my family... Hubby a geologist drills these facts into me, so I've gotten good . Emailed CO answers, expects hubby will attach photo... TFTC
Found it with my dad Topher_LV while in DC for a vacation. He sent the answer. tftc
