As a previous finder, I stopped by GZ this morning. There is no container to be seen anywhere near where I found it; the CO has not been on GC since May; and there are clear concerns about accurate coordinates and proximity to neighbours. I'd politely recommend we let this one go.
Was keen to get this one because it is situated at the back of my friend's house. She is sick of unsuccessful geocachers scrounging in the area, but it turns out today that she can add me to that list. Where is it????? Tftc
out spending the time between events playing with iolanthek and teamdfl
we used a photo
we used the adjusted co-ords
we even had previous finder with us
but still no cache
iolanthek did find me another pretty bottle (old brown pill one)

Heading out to clear up some pesky blue dots on the map around a few events today. After being totally waylaid from mt cause I had ended up here with a couple of other crazy cats in tow. After a huge effort with a nearby 12 stage multi we were confident for an easy find here, especially with one of the llons being a previous finder.
Sigh. No such luck. Even with the alternative co-ords we were unable to locate the cache. My only DNF for the day though

We are sad to say with three of us looking, a PAF, and even a photo, we couldn't come up with a cache here today. We did get to meet two curious neighbours. One moved into her home 2 months ago and has a friend in Brisbane who is a keen geocacher. The other neighbour knows about geocaching and was very interested to see if we found it. Unfortunately she didn't know where it is and we couldn't find it, so we were all disappointed today. It's a mystery!
We searched around for a long time, used 2 PAFs, sat on the swing, to no avail.
Bats to this one. Felt sure it would be here. Somewhere. Even tried the co-ords supplied by previous finder but without success. Had plenty of time. No dogs gave me a hard time. So had to say "not today" for me. Learnt that nearby palm plants have little yellow and green flowers at their base, not on top. Fascinating what geocaching teaches us.
Nice area. Just junk in cache. Sittin here rockin it out - a beautiful day!
No trackables here!!
No trackables here!!
On something like my fourth or fifth visit, I sat on the swing and looked around for signs of a recent find but nothing seemed different. The two dogs next door took some interest but thankfully didn't bark today: maybe because they've seen me so many times now.
For some reason I moved to a particular spot I couldn't remember checking last time: nothing on one side, and then, is that a blue lid poking out on the other? Yes, it is! Wow, why didn't I find this before? Maybe because I was confused as to where public property ends and private property starts?
No TB inside so I hope it's logged soon. At last, I can add the coords that worked for me today, though the canopy does make life difficult. TFTC and the swing.

I got low, I got dirty and I still didn't find anything. At least the dogs were elsewhere.
Relogging this under individual account, previously a member of Gaz'n'Kab account.
We arrived at GZ and decided to have a quick look our GPSr was bouncing all over the place so we decided to PAF and get an idea on where GZ would be. After a quick hunt the cache was in hand.

Another quick search accompanied by barking. Would you mind checking it's still in place? Thanks.
Had a good hunt, had a swing dogs barking like mad, may come back another day!
Tried to be unobtrusive by torchlight but still set off the dogs a little. The logs etc gave me a pretty good idea of where to focus but nothing was revealed unto me tonight. Perhaps daylight will offer more assistance.
I headed over for another go at this one knowing I had a PAF handy if I needed it. I gave it a bit of a search where my GPS wanted me, and still no find, so I widened my search area, but still no find Time to call in the PAF I ended up being about 10 metres away from GZ when I laid hand to the cache. Out with Nurseyjulie for a couple of hours this morning We spent ages searching everywhere and everything we could think of, but were not able to make the find here.
I'd been on a walk along the Powerful Owl Trail with NurseyJulie earlier this afternoon and she suggested that while out and about with IolantheK, they had DNF'd this cache... Hmm, I thought, is that a challenge...
After securing another few icons, I made my way over and walked toward GZ. Oh Yikes, I feel so exposed here... Treading lightly, I moved around and sncuk a peak in some likely spots. Nope, nothing... I put the GPS away as it is essentially useless under the tree cover, then I went freelance. After sussing out another couple of locations, I spotted something that caught my eye and moved in for a scan. I removed something and voila, the cache was staring back at me... Well, that was handy...
Name in the log, I tucked it away and got outta there before a local got curious. This one will prove very difficult when the kids are at home...
Cheers McNugget40.

I was at Mt Coot-Tha around noon for a stroll up the hill with Gunnie69 and Nurseyjulie, and Jules mentioned a fruitless search with IolantheK earlier in the day.
I decided to look for this cache on my way back home. Initially, couldn't see the way into the park and drove around to the other side. Wandered over to GZ.
Got down low amidst the barking dogs, one of which was on the loose and decided to greet me with waggy tail before taking off.
I looked at the obvious spot and at everything around it. I sat and gazed as though to make the cache appear. Nothing.
Read the description again and decided to take a closer look at the swing. Something caught my attention. Could it be there? Yup.
This cache is highly visible and muggleable. I would be surprised if the local residents don't know it's there.
It's also around 10 metres from GZ so I suspect the coords were set with a smartphone (not a gpsr). It should be a D1.5/T1.5 rating. Coords must point to GZ as per the Guidelines

Took custard apple. Left nothing.
What does one do with a custard apple?

Unfortunately I missed out on the FTF chase with this one due to being on a caching road trip down south, however as soon as I got back I managed to find it. I must admit I'm not too keen on the location due to private properties backing right onto this little piece of land as well as the muggles view and the fact that while I was logging this, I felt like a bit of a creep being able to see and hear a private party on the back deck of a residence next door.
Good hide however and quick close to home cache

This isn't usually our area for ftfs but when you are only 4+ km from it then why not have a go for it. We were looking for a cat puzzle when this one came out, we had just signed that cache. One gps told us to go one way and the other another way, where is the tunnel when you need it? It seemed to take forever the great near GZ and there were cars around the area. Mmmmmm, may have been beaten to this one. Heading up the access area we spotted legs still searching. Ok, mmmmm.....reception is poor under all these trees so it was a matter of just searching. The children from the nearby houses obviously have made good use of the area. After a few circles, finally male membsec stated that he had found it. Yeah, we all sign it and just as we are about to place it back, along come two more searches. Nice to meet swellerfungus too.
Hopefully the neighbours are aware of the cache.

Gt the notification to a 'near to home cache' after coming back from a morning bike ride. Oh no! It came out 15 minutes ago. For a suburban cache that's just too long, surely! What the heck....lets go! Lady Sim and I took off...many suspicios looking cars at GZ. Uh oh...I can see legs under those trees...sure enough Memsec and Keepingupwith have beaten us to it. Well done! Seems very close to muggle houses though.
*FTF* with membsec.
We had just finished clearing up our breakfast dishes (we do a big breakfast on Saturdays) and I was just checking the emails for any changes in the kids soccer matches and I saw the notification for this cache. I did the quick check to see if it had already been nabbed and then a look on Google Maps and saw it was close by.
I grabbed the phone and headed out. Sadly I had forgotten to charge my phone and it was completely dead, argh. I thought I remembered the location correctly from Google Maps and headed on down. Hopped out of the car and things looked familiar. Headed to GZ and started checking some of the usual suspects just as membsec arrived.
Made introductions and had a little chat and then back to finding the cache. Soon membsec had made the find and we signed up. Just then we saw another car pull so membsec returned the cache quickly and we said hi to Lady Sim and SwellerFungus.
Then a quick trip back to collect the little soccer player.
TFTC McNugget and for showing me a park I never knew existed. I didn't take a turn on the swing but SwellerFungus was looking keen.

So close...2ndTF! Happily take that.
Not long home from a bike ride, (where we'd riden not far from cache location) and about to settle and chill and Swellerfungus checks email and up pops this one...maybe about 10-15mins ago but close enough to home to give it a go.
Off we go and park at the wrong entry point, can hear the dogs barking tho...around the block we go, park and head toward GZ and we can see legs through the trees so know straight away it has been found. Always nice to meet fellow cachers on the chase. So, met both parties of memsec and keepingupwith, only to have Swellerfungus explain that keepingupwith is the cacher that was present at GZ with geokids when we were looking for our very first cache. That was a funny time.
