Have been wanting to do this walk for a while and finally made it happen today. Really glad we came. The views are amazing. Our third find on this walk.

Today's bit of walking SOBO along the Te Araroa trail was from waipu Cove through to Mangawhai, not too bad a day. I really enjoyed getting to this cliff top walkway as it offered unobstructed water views and a quite gentle grade. A blessing to weary feet after twenty something km tramping.This cache was just after km 439 of the journey. Another quick find for us

A group of us got together today to do this walk. We'd planned it earlier in the year but the weather had meant we had to delay it. The forecast leading up to today was off putting at times but we ended up with a stunning day for it.

We arrived close to low tide so headed off along the beach. After a lovely walk along the beach and a climb up we could just wander along the top for a while.

Another quick find here once I clambered up a bit. We had to wait a few minutes to replace it as there were muggles about. A few more people using the track now but I'm glad with this heat to be coming to the down hill stretch. Thanks for the series to encourage us out here:)

We were in Mangawhai Heads for the weekend (sans kids) so could try a decent walk. Due to the tide coming in, we decided to walk the beach/rocks first and the track on the way back. Found this cache with ease. All good here. TFTC

Out caching the Cliff walkway this afternoon. Nearly missed this one and yet it once found it was an easy find.

I’ve been wanting to do this walk for a long time, especially as it had a few caches along the way I’m staying nearby for a few days so this was the first activity of the day. I timed it so I could do the loop back along the beach.

This was a super quick find unlike the previous one, TFTC!

We are planning to do the Tongario Crossing late February and as we are a little unfit have planned various walks that also have a few caches along the way to get our fitness up.

So today with Keylev, Cragger and Laval (and a few non caching friends) we completed the Mangawhai Clifftop walk. Our intention was to do the complete loop but as we wanted some more hill work we ended up do the return trip up over the cliff again!

The legs are starting to hurt on this one!!! ALL THOSE STAIRS!

Out for the day with NZ Travellers and my geo-kids cragger and laval. Also had a muggle along for the first time. Whilst only 9.5kms return from the carpark it was deceptively harder than we anticipated but was lots of fun.

Found on day 21 of our TA thru-hike. Left a trackable we've been carrying for too long.

We were really enjoying the walk and blessed with some great weather. we were making good pace too. No issues with the find here found easily thanks to the description.

Looking at wrong hint item for ages. Once we relocated we found it fairly easily. Some lovely views of the island.

Long weekend, great weather and tides perfect to go for a walk along this amazing track. Went in reverse direction along beach to the end then up the track. Loads and loads of muggles round. A quick find by kids in hint location. Log signed and replaced. Tftc.

The weather was just right, so I took two days to go up to Waipu to get in some Geocaching. Also, I wanted to make sure all my camping gear was in order for next month's Mega in Wellington.
This one was nicely hidden considering it is so open to the path. TFTC.

The caching stats for May were looking a bit sad, so a plan was hatched to grab a break in the weather and walk the magnificent Mangawhai Cliff Top Walkway today and try for the 11 caches there. Headed off this morning and after a 60 km detour for an FTF, I made it to Mangawhai a bit later than expected.

Because of this, I decided to walk along the beach first and do the caches in reverse order. The wind was still very blustery and cool, but I was amazed at the number of muggles who were still out on the beach and doing the walkway.

Making good progress back along the track now and this was quickly found in the hint location. TFTC

Headed up North with Jag50 and Merlot58 to stay in Pahi for the long weekend. On our second day we decided to complete the Mangawhai clifftop walk. Mrs Jag climbed up to find this one, fighting the crumbling bank.
