I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Because of an unexpected event I am not able to get to Mangawhai until January at which time I will replace this and do a maintenance rune on the others.
Am off to do some caching in Aussie next week so will disable this one until I return and can get to check it out.
Walked along part of this walkway this afternoon and picked up a few caches, but not this one. Had a fairly thorough search in the general vicinity of where I expected the cache to be but simply couldn’t spot it. Can’t win them all! Enjoyed the walk and the superb views!
Enjoying this part of the walk, gently undulating, none of those steep steps. TFTC
We were in Mangawhai Heads for the weekend (sans kids) so could try a decent walk. Due to the tide coming in, we decided to walk the beach/rocks first and the track on the way back. Found this cache with ease. All good here. TFTC
Out caching the Cliff walkway this afternoon. A previous finder has wisely moved the cache sideways a bit. The tree roots have ripped and are too exposed now. TFTC
I’ve been wanting to do this walk for a long time, especially as it had a few caches along the way I’m staying nearby for a few days so this was the first activity of the day. I timed it so I could do the loop back along the beach.
After looking in a few hidey holes the cache was eventually spotted. I dropped a TB, TFTC

We are planning to do the Tongario Crossing late February and as we are a little unfit have planned various walks that also have a few caches along the way to get our fitness up.
So today with Keylev, Cragger and Laval (and a few non caching friends) we completed the Mangawhai Clifftop walk. Our intention was to do the complete loop but as we wanted some more hill work we ended up do the return trip up over the cliff again!
Think we are truly over half way now

Out for the day with NZ Travellers and my geo-kids cragger and laval. Also had a muggle along for the first time. Whilst only 9.5kms return from the carpark it was deceptively harder than we anticipated but was lots of fun.
Found in the second spot we searched.

Adventure Saturday with SOLRAC TWO in Manghawai Heads area. All good here. Thanks!
Found on an afternoon walk with the family. Nephews and nieces enjoyed the hunt. Good hints and views along the way.
Another quick find. The track is very busy today. Greetings from Scotland and TFTC
Had to double back but once we did it was pretty easy! Didn’t have a pen so here’s a photo. TFTC
Great find, nicely hidden, contained a geocoin which I need to find out some more about.
Found on our TA thru-hike day 21. Beautiful section of trail! We left a trackable here that we've been carrying in our backpacks for too long.
My son and I were counting down the caches as we went and were pleasantly surprised that we had passed the halfway mark. Thanks for placing this series and highlighting this cool walk for us.
Enjoying Labor Day exploring Langs Beach, The McKenzie Trail and Mangawhai Clifftop Walkway collecting geocaches along the way. TFTC
Hopefully I can finish the track today with out any rain!
Watch out for spiders!

Heute: 6. Cache von total 6 Caches.
Wir machten heute einen Teil dieses wunderschönen Cliff Walk. Dabei haben wir natürlich auch die Caches gesucht. Von neun gesuchten Caches haben wir aber nur sechs gefunden.

Today we are doing this beautiful hiking trail. Thanks a lot for the boxes on the way and greetings from Switzerland.
Long weekend, great weather and tides perfect to go for a walk along this amazing track. Went in reverse direction along beach to the end then up the track. Loads and loads of muggles round. One of the kids scrambled up and made quick find of the cache before any muggles turned up. Log signed and replaced. Tftc.
The weather was just right, so I took two days to go up to Waipu to get in some Geocaching. Also, I wanted to make sure all my camping gear was in order for next month's Mega in Wellington.
Lots of places the cache could be, but luckily the cache was big enough to be found in its deep hiding spot. TFTC.

Found with Ozwalker while on a geowalk aiming to find all the caches along the Mangawhai Clifftop Walkway. Track in good condition and great sea views. Walked the loop returning via the beach. Thanks nodo.

The caching stats for May were looking a bit sad, so a plan was hatched to grab a break in the weather and walk the magnificent Mangawhai Cliff Top Walkway today and try for the 11 caches there. Headed off this morning and after a 60 km detour for an FTF, I made it to Mangawhai a bit later than expected.
Because of this, I decided to walk along the beach first and do the caches in reverse order. The wind was still very blustery and cool, but I was amazed at the number of muggles who were still out on the beach and doing the walkway.
No problems with finding this one in the hint location, although once again, I had to wait for muggles to pass by before walking back to replace. TFTC

After climbing many stairs everyone was happy to pause and find this cache. TFTC
Headed up North with Jag50 and Merlot58 to stay in Pahi for the long weekend. On our second day we decided to complete the Mangawhai clifftop walk. This one was not in the obvious spot we first tried, but found easily enough.
Day 2 of an easter caching weekend away with Aiden29 and Jag50. A quick find here and had to quickly replace before some muggles walked past as the track was pretty popular today
We decided to get way for Easter and stay in Pahi with Merlot58 and Aiden29. Stunning weather today and lots of people walking the trail. Had to rehide this one quickly as we could hear a group of muggles approaching.
No luck with this one. Saw the previous logs and had a good feel around, but still nothing came to hand.
We were lucky enough to be offered a lovely house at beautiful Mangawhai Beach for a relaxing weekend, and the Cliff Walk was highly recommended to us with good reason. A beautiful day, great views and a fun rock walk back along the beach...with caches! Tftc
Der Weg an der Küste ist herrlich.Viele Grüße vom Team Schlaue Pfote aus Deutschland
We didn't,t try to find the cache when we go up to hill because there was any hint. Then I read the previous log and it was easy to find when we go down. TFTC.
Wow.....you must go through a lot of vitamins or fish oil tablets ! At least the containers are easy to see !
We had to bail out on the series and this will be our last one so we will have to come back again. The tides were not going to play ball and we would have had to take the hard way home. So back we go. We will come back another time.
Thought, there just has to be a geocache here (I did not have my gps with me) and there was! Great day and excellent walk. TFTC>
Following the GPSr we walked right passed this one (at least I hope I am remembering this cache correctly now I am home). My uncle the muggle suggested I walk back to a likely spot - funny thing is I thought it looked a good place without really looking at it and was still something like 15m out so hadn't stopped. Uncle was correct and soon the log was signed. Thanks nodo!
Enjoying this very scenic walk even though the weather turned drizzly. Thanks nodo, all the placements were straight forward finds, coordinates were good, hints were helpful, the containers were of a generous size and all the log books were in sound condition. Just how a geo-trail like this should be.
Some awsome vistas along this walk thanks for a great cache..Nice quick find and sign
Walked this clifftop walk and back via the beach, managed to find all in this series. Walked past this first off, had to back track and quickly found, thanks
Today we walked the Mangawhai Clifftop Walkway and then back on the beach if possible due to tide. It is a very nice walkway that we enjoyed a lot and we were lucky, too. We arrived just in the moment as the “gate” opened for the way back at the beach.
Certainly we sought for the caches along our way, too. We found this one right away at 11:25 am.
Thanks for the hide.

Headed out to Mangawhai today to grab some caches The top priority was the cliff top caches.
When mum heard where I was going she decided to tag alone so we got up early, packed some food and hopped in the car. 1h 20min later we were at the carpark and on our way.
With where the tide was we decided to keep going and hike back along the beach. TFTC

Back to some kind of numerical order, although I guess that really doesn't matter. Was able to spot a bit of the unnatural color to make the quick find. Starting to recognize all the names in the logbook. I guess if you're out here caching, you're going to get them all! Thanks for the cache!
