As part of an eight hour maintenance run along the Lolly Scramble this cache was found to be missing. As it was in the 8th hour of the run, we didn't have an appropriate themed replacement left - will try to get a replacement out ASAP.

Schlotte and I went out for some caching today and this "sweet" trail was just perfect. Thanks for the imaginative containers! We liked it a lot and the weather was just brilliant. It is strange that the last logs were so long ago.

Arrived into the S.I today. Our 1st stop was to pick up our Juicy van & then hit the road towards the westcoast.
We chose the area of the lolly scramble to take us towards our destination. We stopped where we found it suitable with a car we were not used to.
We found such a variety of containers along this route, a nice war to start our trip.
It's so lovely & green & not having to worry about snakes sure is a big plus.
Thanks for placing this cache MandMCachers

TFTC - Quickly found while up here today with some spare time before I catch up with 2 grand children
TFTC and maintaining these caches. Great to be able to come up here and grab a couple of caches. Really enjoyed this series. What fun - and it would be a great trail for the grandkids to join me on.

I am amazed at how such bright containers that are so easy to find have not been ruined by people who don't get what we do. This is probably my most enjoyable day caching yet, I really really enjoyed finding such an array of containers, many of which I have never seen before. I found myself imagining what I might find at the next stop. This is definately a trail I will bring my grandkids to if I ever get to bring them to CHCH. Thanks so much for the enjoyment I have had today

Wow what a day, started at 7.30 just as daylight was arriving and the misty rain had me worried, turned out to be a great day with a total of 120 caches not the goal I had set myself (next time we are here we will try the 270 in a day again) but still a great goal at 120, thank you for placing and maintaining the caches we found, sorry for the copy and paste logs we had many to find and only recorded if damage or logs replaced.

#3602. I had a work trip to Canterbury on the Thursday and Friday but decided to stay over on the weekend to fit in a couple of big caching days. I am working on the DGSC challenge and need some 50+ days for the bulk find elective. So Saturday and Sunday were earmarked for getting some big totals. Managed to locate about 130 caches over the weekend and about 150 over 4 days. Decided today I would do the lolly scramble series of caches along this road and any other caches encountered. It was a really enjoyable series with well themed containers. Once I got my eye in, the finds sped up as the day progressed. Certainly a very warm early autumn day (high of 29 degrees). Quickly found. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache. Was wondering how you might exhibit this cache and avoid turning it into a terror error.

Begins our holiday in NZ in Christchurch, we came from Italy to find our son who lives there for two years.
Long trip, but surprisingly we arrived there very tired, almost two days and two nights without sleep, but it took just 24 hours we got used to the new day.
Having Been to Akaroa and Kaukoura, and trail AHHH FRESH, today we decide to make a part of the trail from Kaiapoi to Oxford, we will find many cache, not the other will find, before we left we had decided to devote no more than three minutes for each cache, if it was not passed over it, some need maintenance, beautiful landscape and few cars on the course.
Thank you for suggesting this trail
Greetings from Italy
TFTC
Saluti dall'Italia

Headed out for a day of caching with Mr. Kiwi, to celebrate my 30th tomorrow. We had planned originally to nail our 400th - but the effects of both recent celebrations and real life in general meant we decided to cruise through the lolly trail, fruit and vege loop and whatever else came our way. It was a great day out together, and we were grateful to the cache owners who take the time to set up and maintain their hides.
So to you all, TFTC!

After a few days staying with family in Chch we started heading north again and with no family commitments we focused on finishing the Lolly Scramble trail and hunting down the horses 101 series. The day also included a few other caches with our tally for the day being 92.The logs were signed HZ+HM, H+H, or on some case with our full names.
Thank you to all the cache owners for making this possible.

It was a combination of holidays, family visit and caching. Since our last visit lots of trails have appeared and there were many puzzles to be solved. And a lot of trads thrown in for good measure. We almost forgot what it's like to be cut, scraped, prodded, pricked, bruised and stabbed by the large variety of hedges you can find caches under in Canterbury. We were not deterred and it was fun to find them. On our way home again and trying to find as many caches as pos. In the end they made us stay another night in the area Big Grin Thank you MandMCachers

Moved to the Swannanoa district in June 2015, about time I checked a few GC’s out in the hood. Found it while taking a roundabout drive to Kaiapoi. What to do with a free Sunday? Go geocaching! We decided to do the Lolly Scramble trail today and we had plenty of fun doing it. We even had a couple of bags of lollies along the way. It was a lovely day to start off with but it soon turned to hail, so we did a bit of dashing around. Another nice and easy find. Tftc!

This was my second visit to Christchurch in as many weeks, a fortnight ago I flew down for the Mega event with my family in tow, this time I was down to attend a conference held at the school of Education. My wife generously agreed to allow me to stay an extra day (and night) to explore the city and do some Geocaching. I made the most of the opportunity and found just over a hundred caches during my visit. Having already completed the ‘cutlery’ series earlier in the day nearby I decided to soldier on and find some Geocaching sweetness by having a crack at the Lolly Scramble series (with the odd detour here and there).

A quick stop after the last cache. Thanks for the cache and the series.

Out for some Mega caching with Kyzabra, Jinta29, Gunnie69 and Ghostgums.Saw some beautiful countryside today and had a blast caching. Thank you %owner for placing and maintaining this cache. Smile

28-Oct-15
Kyzabra and I headed over for the Christchurch Mega from Perth, WA. Today we were joined by The Green Geckos today and we targeted some of the larger series around this area.

We had a fantastic time caching in the cooler climate and with no fear of snakes or other nasties! Christchurch is my old home town but I did not know about caching when I lived there so it was fun exploring the City with a different objective.

We were glad to grab the smiley on this one and we replaced the container as found. Thanks MandMCachers for placing this and bringing us to this spot!

This is my find #4355 and find #13 today.

A caching expedition that has been months in the planning. Jinta29 and I headed over from Perth, and today we met up with the GreenGeckos again for a final day assault on NZ caches.

[green] Out with Hanknstone, Haydn.seek and thestepahine on an awesome 200+ day. We managed to get 210 caches in 11 hours, an average of 3 minutes each. There were a few awesome caches out there, but mostly it was a blur. Thanks to all the cache owners, and my apologies about the cut and paste!

The next on our 210 run finding caches for the day with our team of four- HHSS. Working as a team each doing diff. roles we were able to speed up the find rate quite well and we managed to do about the first 100 with no Did Not Finds but after that the distances increased and the find rate dropped but we still managed to finish the day with 210 cache. The seagnoid has planned etc our route so it was all efficient Thank you to The Seagnoid for this pre work and thank you to the different cache Owners for these great, interesting caches. I just ;loved the huge chupps chup and all the veges and fruit. . Thank you for the cache and another smiley face.

Out and about with Team FARKIS (fmz, alpenmilch80, rosmar, kiwi.bug, indianajill, slieschke) finding a great mix of cache hides and cache containers. What a mad bunch of cachers to be with, loads of fun and games with very little sleep over the 3 nights of the MEGA TFTC.

25-Oct-15
Our main focus on this Mega trip has been on picking up solved puzzles, but we have heard great things about the Lolly Scramble series so decided to spend some time this afternoon following the Lolly trail. And we were not disappointed - loved the themed "containers." Our afternoon was made even more enjoyable by the Mega traffic, flags, toots and joint finds with other cachers.
Exploding chocolate Elves have become a christmas favourite in our house. TFTC.

Our team for the Mega weekend was signing as VYV (Vamber, Yorkshirekiwi83 and Vistra). we found quite a few in the short space of time we were together, where I can I will make comments about the cache. We had teamed up back in Auckland and had been busy planning what we were going to target and in what order, of course plans changed even more so when we were down here, but that is part of what makes it fun and I had a great time over the weekend, thanks to all the CO's for placing.

Well themed caches and a great trail, quick find TFTC

Day 3 in Christchurch and I again teamed up with yorkshirekiwi83 and vamber for another big day of caching. We signed the logs as "VYV" to save time and space on the logs. We made an early start to the day as we knew we would be going for 200 caches. We started with the Lolly Scramble caches (which we had begun the night before) and made our way up to Oxford, before returning to Kaiapoi and working on the Horses 101 series, finding a number of other caches along the way. Apologies for the generic logs, but thank you to all the cache owners for placing these caches!
