I am regretfully archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in the last reviewer note.
Hi mike.aniko
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.

A drive with the muggle sister to Opotiki and Waioeka Gorge.
Spent some time looking where gps was but couldn't spot anything.
Sister got tired of waiting so she came to help. Read some previous logs and one was helpful, ended up finding the cache 26m away from GZ.
Signed and replaced.
Thanks

Second time been here. Frustration over. Lol. Had a fair idea what I was looking for. Walk across road turned back and spotted the hide. Was that easy. Tftc
After finding the cache, we realised the significance of reading the complete cache description. It took a while to spot, in the pouring rain, and we needed to use an implement to retrieve it. A fun little cache. TFTC
Nice hide. Rather quickly found..

So happy we could log this as a find. Don’t even know how on earth we missed it the first time
Today I ripped the kids from their devices and bundled them into the car! I was heading East clearing as much of the coast as I could and ended up only one DNF in Opotiki. A great day, good weather, and a couple of the walks were longer then anticipated so we'll all sleep well tonight.
We were pretty sure we knew what we'd be looking for but it was still a little tricky to spot at first especially under the failing light. And once we did see it we still needed to return back to the car for tools in order to get this one free. The issues didn't stop there - the lid got stuck inside, the log roller metal has rusted through and the log ain't in good shape either. Finally with all the pieces back together and replacing the log with waterproof paper - this one is all good to go. Cheers mike.aniko, TFTC

Did not find, 2nd time we have logged this as a DNF. It hurts when you’re so dedicated to caching but walk away without finding it. We won’t give up though.. we’ll give it another go
Very coolwas going to take a photo but Mrs Geojoe said not too otherwise I might shoot myself in the foot with the CO. No helicopters today bugger.
Found while making our way South... good thing we had our TOT with us got log out & signed but needs new log...TFTC
Took a while to find this sneaky little one! Luckily we found it just before the chopper landed. Unluckily, the log was too wet to sign!
. Beautiful day today and out for a trip to Opotiki while she is working. Oh no log is very wet and unable to sign. Very sneaky and amusing hide. TFTC
With it being a sunny afternoon and school holidays I thought there might be some action here so decided to park up, grab the cache and have lunch in the Geobus. However, I arrived and found the place practically deserted. The only thing going on was a small microlight driving back and forwards across the grass but it didn't even have wings attached. There was a rather ominous muggle at the GZ, but I'm not sure if he was friend or foe as he wasn't very talkative. I chose to leave him alone and continue on my way. TFTC
CLEVER CACHE, almost gave up then it hit us, almost between the eyes, so simple but very good A FP from us, TFTC
Cache thankfully spotted by DD who just has a knack of spotting sneaky caches! Once the cache was found I then realised the hint was misspelt (should be wasted, as the waist is just above one's hips). Many thanks
Favourite point - superb hide, excellent

Had a dot day to fill for today and knew I was heading to Opotiki today so made the detour out to the aerodrome for the find. Well worth a Fave point for this interesting cache container, had a hunch of what to look for so a quick find, have been waiting a few years to find this one!!
Thanks for the cache!!

This took us ages- and we were about to give up when I had a little 'aha' moment. Very nice- well done. A fav from me
This took us a while before warfi suddenly zoned in. Thanks for the challenge.
Checked cache after 3 DNFs, but cache is still there. Log was full, so replaced logbook with a brand spanking new one. Happy caching!
Not sure where but not today. Mission aborted, a very sad day for this bear. DNF Couldn't find it

We're heading back from touring the East Cape.... found a few in the gorge.
This one was aro-matic!
Shew. Plug seems to be grabbing and keeping log sheet from retrieving with the 'container'. Room for about 10 more finds on the log sheet.
A fun one!

Nearly had us stumped. Mr agogo suggested a location which would have me get very wet feet but before venturing here had one more look at where gps suggested and soon spotted cache. Great camo. Glad I had the right tool to retrieve . Tftc
Found it very good camo took a little time to prize it out but all good....is this what they mean with rubber bullets thanks for the great cache
Removed container but log remained where it was. Took a bit to get it out. Ant driving me mad as they are everywhere. Parked at airfield but found easier access later. Thanks for bringing us here.
You know you are addicted to geocaching when you hop on a plane in Toronto Canada to NZ seeking a new southmost and and eastmost for your statistics. We watched the sunrise on first of January in Dunedin. We went to Stewart Island for our southmost cache. Today we were repositioning from Mt Maunaganui to Rotorua and decided Opotiki was on our way. Nongeocachers might not agree. Had lunch and found a cache. Now to get back on track. Thanks for helping us feed our addiction and our most easterly cache.
We circled the area a few times when Nawty said that does not look right. Isquba had a tool to help retrieve the wee thing. Signed the log and we were off.

Missed it the first time round. Got it the second. Awesome cache!! Thanks.
We knew it had to be there somewhere, missed it on the first pass, but got it in the end. Clever!
The rain has stopped (for now)... Gap (of Fap and Gap) and I are heading to Ohope to do a job. Naturally, there will be some caching fitted in somewhere...
Waded through a huge puddle to retrieve the cache. Just as well I had gumboots on... It was fun. Another very clever hint and placement. A quick find. TFTC.

Showed a muggle friend, this took a little bit to find but since I had a rough idea I could show them this nice hide.

It was a lucky thing that we had a handy retrieval tool in the car - as without it, we couldn't have retrieved the cache/logsheet. A nice hide, thank you.
Another mission, a new area this time. The plan was to do some off-roading and 4x4 caches, plus a few others in the area. Cats&dragons and I set off on Friday night and had an amazing light show of sheet lightning and heavy rain. Our spirits were not dampened though and we made the long slog to Opotiki. We worked out our plan of attack for the next morning and found a few great looking caches to check out. We were meeting up with Rosmar and Alpenmilch80 in the morning before heading to some wild country.
2nd find today for me, woke up extra early to grab the caches in town. This would have fooled me a few months ago but I have recently just seen similar camo and thankfully it didn't take long to spot. The recent rain meant the surrounding was quite wet and swollen which made removal of the cache a bit trickier. Soon got it thanks to a little help from C&D and it was signed and we were on our way.

We could so easily have missed this one, had it not been for a veiled threat in the description and then the penny dropped. This cache was placed by the same CO at Onekawa. Now we knew what to look for, and sure enough, there it was. Nicely crafted. TFTC

Last year failed to find this one while camping at Tirohanga. Back again this year much more experienced (!) and found it very easily. Neat container and I am first in the new logbook. TFTC
We're repairing this cache at the moment. Log missing, cap missing, needs some work...
Refitted a cap, inserted a new logbook, now on my way to replace the cache. Enjoy!
Had a bit of a mishap with a running greyhound and a gate, which meant a trip to the vets for some stitches. Once he was sorted, thought to get things back to semi normal and find a cache. this one was the closest. Quick find, thou had to use a scrap piece of paper to sign. Looks as there is a log jammed in the cache and in the hiding place, might need some maintenance.
[green] Home for Christmas. Well, sort of. Home is actually Palmerston North, the rest of the family are in Rotorua, and now I am off to Opotiki with mum to catch up with the rest of the family who left for the beach a few days ago, staying at the Tirohanga Campground. I haven't swum in the ocean for years!! Got here yesterday after caching most of the way up from Rotorua, with the exception of Kawerau to Whakatane. The wind slammed the car door shut on mum's hand, and so we had to get it checked out. no bones broken, luckily, but plenty of other crush injuries. Time will fix them easily enough.
Day after the day after Christmas. I borrow my sister's car to spend a day on the hikoi o Nga Tapuwae o Toi. But I have to get there first, and that means more caches! Opotiki is a bit too large to walk to and around and back to Tirohanga, so although I walked to the San Fransico cache, I used the car to pick up the rest of the caches in Opotiki.
Nice cache here, log almost too damp to write on, despite the great weather we have been having here. Microlight took off for an early morning jaunt while I was here. (photo)

Passing through on a bike ride around the East Cape; finding some geocaches along the way. Just dodged a bullet with my name on it. Dropped the cache container in the long grass, and had to search on hands and kness for a while to find it. Whew. TFTC. [B)]
Hi Guys, found your cache today but sadly the log is very wet we were unable to write our names in case it started to rip and destroy the log. I have recorded photos of the log and cache container I will email these to you and hope that my found log will be acceptable. Thanks for a great little hide unique container excellent camo.
We made a brief stop in Opotiki on our way home from Gisborne today chose to do this cache as it was close to town we were waiting for the sun to drop to avoid driving back into it for the remainder of the journey. At first thought this May take a bit of finding but quickly clicked to the likely hiding spot. The log was to wet to write our names but have taken photos of the log and the cache container which I will email to the owner writing would have destroyed the existing log. Thanks for the cache very clever hide
After a two day trip around East Cape and a full on weekend convention in Gisborne we are on our way home to Rotorua through the gorge. Lots of caches to pick up on the way.
Hunted up and down and up and down and up and down. And up and down some more. Checked out other places. Up and down once more. Getting frustrated. Must be something here. GPS and iPhone both pointing to the same place but spiderhouse eyes were painted on there for a while until finally Mr S uttered those magic words. Here it is. !!!. Oh, very clever hide, very clever indeed. Now we understand the comment. lol.
Thanks mike.aniko. Another smilie on our trip home. Gets a FAV for ingenuity.

Found with Wenzwill. Mum wondered what the heck I was doing when I started trying to get the cache out with my key. She didn't believe it was what we were looking for until we had it in hand. Very cool and clever hide. TFTC
All quiet here today as the last effects of Cyclone Lusi are still with us - gusty wind and passing showers means no flying today. Pleased to find this one quite quickly, the coordinates were spot on, thanks mike.aniko.
No plane, no plane, no plane….. and no paragliders, nice sunny weather so the log book is still dry, an interesting cache container, TFTC.
Cool cache, quickly spotted and retrieved. Not too much happening at Opotiki International today, just the odd feathered bird doing a fly by.

Had the whole family out looking for this one (aunts, cousins, parents, uncles, brother, in laws) and I managed to think a little bit about it and get the cache. We all thought it was a great cache - especially the hunters in the family!
