Looks like the area at GZ is closing for a month. Suspect they’re replacing the bridge - or at least widening it for the light rail.
Suspect the cache may go AWOL.

Took me a while too find this one but finally did thanks to a picture. Plenty of good spot possible. Log soaked by the recent rain
Man ! At the location where my GPS went bing I found a brass coloured e-cigarette. I was sure that was it but couldn’t open it. Not it ! I checked all the square holes in the bridge walk slabs - Nope! There is a fair bit of construction fence with the new railway in the area. Maybe the CO can check
Finds #: 2,441
Companions: None
Muggles: Passing traffic, some workmen below
Weather: Grey spring morning
Cache condition: Good
I had been jogging 'n caching nearby, and decided to find one more cache on the way home. There were some guys working on the refurbishment of the line (no trains to be spotted at the moment!), but they didn't pay me any attention. I headed up to the bridge where I made a reasonably quick find (TNLNSL) before heading back to my car. TFTC

I almost missed this one.
After checking a few spots by torchlight, I convinced myself that it was missing.
It goes to show that a preconceived idea of the hide blinds you to other possibilities.
One last pass, and the quite simple hide was found.

Found this one on a hot day!! I left Bob, tell me if you find him -Eli Amy and bob 21/3/2020
TFTC. Took a while but still walked away with a smiley. Geodog Atlas was a bit slack sniffing this one out. Didn't see a train but did see a rail maintenance machine instead.
The problem is that at 45°C, everything is too hot to touch. Didn't want to risk burns as well as sunburn and heat exhaustion.

I needed a find today for a calendar day.
After a DNF at my chosen target, I targeted this one.
I parked at the designated parking spot.
I soon arrived at GZ and started searching.
I checked all the common places, but no luck.
I was about to give up and I checked 1 last spot.
Down on knees, I soon had the CIH as a train came from Telopea.
I signed the log and placed it all back.
Now off to work.

OCW Oldmorty and someone was looking after us as the rain ceased the moment we started the day of caching. Walked up to the bridge and perfect coords made for a quick find and sign. TFTC!
Out for another enjoyable days caching with morty8888; today around the Dundas area. After a slow start in the morning (think I'll stop looking for bus shelter caches) things picked up considerably after lunch.
Morty8888 was quickly onto this train spotter. TFTC Blundo B

Second attempt, this time successful, but needed clues from past entries to help! Tftc. Close to the cache, on the corner of Addison Rd and Manson St is “Redstone” - the state heritage listed Winter House, the last house designed by Walter Burley Griffin in Australia before he left for India and his untimely death in Lucknow in 1937.
A little caching stroll while visiting my brother who lives nearby.
A nice easy one here, though I perhaps got a little lucky as well. I went with a bit of instinct and suddenly there it was. TFTC

Stopped off after leaving the Amateur Radio NSW (HAM Radio) bi-monthly Trash & Treasure sale, at Quarry Road Dural, for this one. It had been a fun filled morning of HAM radio junk scrounging, and a nice BBQ lunch with lots of friendly chit chat, but now it was time to grab some caches while on the homeward journey. This was the 5th of 14 finds, and 3 DNFs, for the day.
Parked the geomobile in Winter Street and then walked up over the bridge to GZ for a quick find. Nice attachment Signed the log and then replaced as found. It's a good view down onto the rail line from GZ, but sadly no trains were spotted there today. TFTC Blundo Busters.

Located at 10:31am. #858. I had a nearby meeting and decided to give this one a whirl as I headed off to my next appointment. The cache was quickly found, I just had to be discreet with the abundance of cars flying past me over the bridge. My first find in nine days; the last week has been incredibly busy with barely any time to take a drive for a cache or two. This could be my only find for the next week or so as well. Большое спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!
A quick find this morning on my way to work.
I had spot this one and noted it's location on my phone for quick reference of an easy find.
Whilst plenty of dnf this one is indeed in play. Just use common sense.
Log damp (not sure why as container in good condition).

**CUT & PASTE BIT:**
I had a ‘flex’ afternoon off work with the goal of walking from Parramatta to Hornsby. Found 3 caches, then went back to Parra Westfield to buy an iPhone charger cable which I’d forgotten. Doh! 2 hours down and I was back where I started. Eventually arrived Hornsby Railway Station in the dark after 8 hours, 24Km, 44,500 steps and 8 cache finds
**END C&PB.**
Argh! I would have thought that this one should have been a simple find, but alas no luck for me. I often cache alone so it sometimes happens I get a bit of cache blindness. So strange to see just a single railway track (ie of 2 rails). Doesn't it make the logistics of running the trains so much harder? Was amazed further to see the single line in use by trains and even still not an extra line at Telopea Station. Although having said that I was lucky enough once to travel along a single track in Japan, the track split around each side of each station platform. Everything was timed so that trains would arrive at the stations at the same time and hence be able to get past each other. My favourite Japanese train: the "Spacia" express (in original sunny coral orange please )

Out for my daily dose brought me to Telopea where I was also chasing down a GCA first to find. Looked in quite a few spots before getting my hands on this one.

TFTC!
Evidence of a recent car accident near GZ. To confirm: this has not interfered with the cache.

This would have to be the quickest TS cache I've found. It must be said that it was in the most obvious spot given the accurate coords. TFTC
Nice easy find on a very cool night mid-winter.

Another episode of Good Times with Pete and Ris was recorded here on Periscope. Tonight the temperatures had dropped again and so I didn't want to spend to long out in the cold. Checked previous logs for some Intel and we were able to make a quick find. Took it back to the car to SL #3275 on streak day #1880 and talk about our adventures TFTC
Glad to have found it after having failed to find a previous blundo buster near by. As someone said, previous log damaged, I tried to place it back without damaging further and I've added a photo in case it does survive another unraveling for what its worth
I had recorded a DNF here back in May, last year.
After a few more finds I headed back knowing it would be a sneaky hide.
Today, I had no such troubles and found the well hidden cache in the third place I looked.
It certainly sits well here and the camo is very natural

Ahhh, another Train Spotter cache from Blundo Buster. If there is one thing I've come to learn from a Blundo Buster cache is to expect the unexpected. After a quick search around GZ I saw a little something that seemed out of place, as I investigated there was the cache, niiice and sneaky. As i opened the cache, the log was very wet. The lid wasn't put on properly, which allowed water from all the rain we've had to get into the container. I carefully unrolled the log and cut off the unused section and place the remainder on top of my engine to dry out while I made a supplementary log. I dried out the container and inserted the logs and correctly replaced the lid so it was water tight. I replaced the cache as found.

Found on 3rd or 4th attempt. Very camod in natural surroundings. Log saturated after recent rain unable to sign log but have a photo.
I set off to look for 4 caches with geodad, geokids, geonephew and geoniece in this area. Unfortunately, despite spending a great deal of time here near, and likely at, GZ, no find for us here today. Given that the cache was last found only 3 days ago, we were genuinely surprised. We must have looked like a weird group of people to all the cars driving pass Will have to try again another time...

Don't think this is here anymore, several dnfs and phoned a friend who had found previously and is not in location described.
Aaahh!! Couldn't get this one. I'm sure it's *right there* in front of me. I'll come back another day to give it another shot.
To keep my short streak going I went out after work to day. Want to grab 4 in this area but only found 2. But at lest I got 2. TFTC
Doing a job across the road so a nice easy find today. No trains passing while here signing.
Another one off the list.

Thought we'd tackle a few Train Spotter caches this afternoon. Like other BB caches in this series, a clever hide different than what you might expect at a location like this. Nice one. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek
I think this my last train spotter within 10kms of home - for the moment!
The geodoggie and I sussed out the usual spots without success - so I looked at the photos. Nice hide - it was probably going to be too tricky otherwise.

found it today with the bf but forgot to bring a pen. will come back to write on the fresh log
Found 7:46 pm. It is the end of weekend and usual commute to Canberra for work and the geodaughter was with me. I wanted to find a cache to keep the streak going so I figured as usual find one along the route to Canberra but tonight I had to catch up with mum for Mother's Day too. So it made a little more tricky. I had hoped to have found another cache not too far away earlier but I couldn't so I gave up and then decided to have a go at this one. As luck would have it the area has been cleared of undergrowth and I ended up finding the cache in the first place I looked. As I started to look I noticed something that I wondered about and sure enough success. I signed the log by finding a small little bit of white space. The log IS FULL. It is now not really possible to add details. Thanks for the cache and I suggest a replacement log.
Time to search for this one again. However when I first arrived the grass edges were being trimmed near gz. So I returned later and finally got my hands on that sneaky one.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Yeap came back the next day and there it was. Insert face palm here.
BTW - the log is full so squeezed into a gap between previous finders.
Found it. Trouvé. 見つけた.

Had a good hunt around with no luck but also had tired grumpy geokids so we'll be back!
Actually, having looked at the photos now that I'm home I'm sure I did pick up what it is attached to and it wasn't there. Hmmm....

Great night find, a muggle was walking and saw us, he said you lost something and I said nah all good mate just playing a kids game LOL it's good having the kids with you as a decoy.
Was starting to get frustrated before fortunately coming up with a well concealed hide.
Found it on a sunny winters day while in the area with evangt. A nice quick find. TFTC
This one is amazing! We almost give up, but finally we found it !" I would said it's the best one so far for me!
Btw, Jarry is Chinese and because of this cache he will endeavour to bring geocaching to the Chinese people and possibly make it the national sport. Thank you.
