I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. Today I teamed up again with morty8888 for another day of caching, this time around the Pymble, Gordon and Roseville areas. We had a very enjoyable and adventurous day visiting the cache locations, finding many of the hides but also a few DNF's along the way. A quick find to finish the day. TFTC

06-Jun-19
With the sun out after a few days of rain, a day of caching with Oldmorty provided perfect conditions for some searching for treasures. The last for the day and after reading previous logs indicating there may be huntsmen guarding the cache, a quick grab and sign was in order. TFTC!

Logbook and cache water logged and need replacing

18-Feb-19
Couldn’t get the GPS to commit to a spot, so I just looked around for where I would hide a cache and bingo, CIH! Had to displace a huntsman to get the cache out of the bag.

The logbook is soaked, so my log entry is more of an engraving than a signing.

Definitely not on the pre marked track like I had assumed. Good find, TFTC! Smile

No joy for me today. I feel embarrassed that I couldn’t locate a regular-sized 1 star cache!

Good hide! A little off the beaten track. Find a stick to poke around with. Also very wet inside. Bring gloves.

27-Jun-18
The rain was just starting again but I set off down the track, feeling as though I had cached here before but a long time ago. I soon reached the area around GZ and spotted a likely hiding place, and the cache was indeed there, very well hidden with quite a dry log despite all the rain. Thanks Sydney Whovians for a good hide in the bush.

The GPS was a bit vague under the trees, but a few minutes of searching in some likely looking places soon revealed the cache. As previous logs have mentioned, the contents are wet and in need of some maintenance.

Australia Day - a perfect day for geocaching. We were trying c:geo for the first time, as we hope to introduce friends to geocaching using this app. (Our old faithful Garmin (eTrex 20) was superior at indicating the location.) TFTC

Located at 7:40am. Very well hidden. I checked a few places, dismissed an obvious place, then came back and found it was an incredibly good place to place a cache. Nicely done. I’m a science fiction buff and love my Doctor Who too Спасибо! תודה! L’chaim! TFTC!

I think I upped the terrain rating for myself. Got to GZ and made the find. Cache# 595 TFTC

28-Oct-17
That was more difficult than expected.
My first mistake was assuming the well defined bush walk trail would take me to the gz.
It did not.
After following it further than I care to admit, telling myself "it'll bend back around soon", I was forced to accept my error and start again.
The second attempt took a higher route that came to an abrupt stop, so back to the start for a third attempt.
This time I ignored any supposed trails and took the direct approach, eventually a sort of path materialised and a geological feature came into view.
Even then, the hide was a little elusive.
As previously reported the log and container are soaked.
Tftc.

Very damp cache this one. Needs a bit of TLC from a doctor.

We found this cache with relative ease. The box seems to be extremely damp, you might need to look into that. Thanks.

Lol again hot on your heals Crash2079.
This was a relatively easy find once certain geological features came into view.
Upon reading previous activity describing logbook condition I had a temporary log paper with ziplock bag in hand.
Once cache was retrieved there was water in the container and logbooks soaked. I placed the said temporary log inside container and replaced it where i found it. TFTC

On my way home from a cache run around Cremorne and thought I could squeeze in a few more. Came here after a DNF at the First Doctor. Thankfully this one was a quick find. Unfortunately, all the log books inside the zip lock bag are totally soaked. I wasn't able to open any of them so just signed on the back of one. Not much hope for these drying out, so really needs a replacement log book.

Thank you for the cache.

First visit to Australia, visiting our oldest daughter who lives in St Ives. What a wonderful country! We are having the most beautiful weather. Reminds us of South Africa, our homeland.

The cache needs maintenance ...

TFTC! Found a bit of spare time whilst walking the dog to have a look see for a nearby cache. Happy to find this. Was getting dark and didn't like my chances. I've grabbed TB Lily the Ladybug to show my Lilly.

Found if fairly easily. You might want to think about replacing the log book as it was wet and we couldn't write in it. Smile

Overthought it though clue would have been nice. As much as I would like to say quick and easy find the gps wasn't very good with a thick canopy and the area was quite dense. tftc

Wow! What great bit of bush here in these parts of Chatswood. Thanks for bringing me here. The cache was found in the first place I looked but the plastic bag isn't keeping the cache dry and the log book is wet. Did the legals and replaced as found. TFTCM

A geocaching stop to rebalance nature and commerce after a visit to Chatswood shopping centre. Muggle-free this morning. This cache is definitely off the track but might be best to enter from right side of fence facing into the park. There is a small bush care track that goes most of the way to GZ. A good hiding spot that faces away from the geocacher. SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek

28-Mar-16
No luck for me today despite looking in all the logical locations. I might have to review the photos others have taken on the big screen to see if they help. I was also a bit worried about leeches given the rain but luckily didn't spot any. Will have to try again down the track, nice bit of bush though.

27-Mar-16
Wasn't feeling too confident about finding this one after reading logs where people had tried on multiple visits but we were lucky and made a pretty quick find.

This is a lovely area

Yay! Took a while, definitely not a difficulty 1.... We initially thought our phone GPS was going crazy, but nope, it was off the path for us. Using a photo we sourced a specific tree and that helped a lot, and once found we had CIH shortly afterwards. Tftc!

11-Jan-16
Not an easy find like states in previous logs.
Parked up top and ventured down to GZ, GPS iPhone was all over the place here.
Wandered around in circles for a long period before viewing the cache photo album which gives nothing away, then resorting to reading past logs. Hmm, not too much given but one did say 6m off GZ, which meant the coords are good and another stated in a sensible location. So looked around and soon had a look in a spot that matched those descriptions and CIH. Just as the mozzies were on to me as well, thanks SW

Easy find. Cache and logbook are dry despite the recent rain. Sneaky hide. No TB's in cache. TNLN SL Replaced cache as found. TFTH TFTC.

Initially we took the first path from the park then backtracked after reading the logs. Cross the park then follow that track. Quick enough find in a quiet muggle free zone. TFTC

23-Sep-15
Today we were targeting caches around Chatswood West and Lindfield. This was to be our 2nd find of the day.

Parked the geomobile in Peckham Avenue, as there was no parking spots available in Dulwitch Road, and followed the bush path through Blue Gum Park to GZ. The GPSr was all over the place, indicating an accuracy of 9 metres at times. Looked in numerous hidey holes before finally uncovering the hide.

Cache is in good shape. Picked up the TB, which we will take on a tour around the Blue Mountains & Lithgow on our holidays in a few days time. TFTC.

Find #687

12-Jul-15
Happy to report the 2nd Doctor is alive and well... though definitely needs a rating boost. Terrain is about right, difficulty more like a 2 or 2.5 with the large number of possible hiding spot and the trickiness of the actual hide. It is a good logical spot though so as others have said follow your geo-sense, but my GPS was saying 6m at GZ so coords seem pretty good. Two near new collapsible chairs had been dumped right at GZ so we cleaned up and re-purposed them for caching event duties! Wink Dropped a TB.

This was our new closest to home cache since moving to Chatswood so the great outward spiral begins!

17-May-15
Another day, another attempt, another long search and sadly, another DNF.

11-May-15
I am recovering from a dislocated ankle so walking circles around this area was pretty challenging. I kept my eyes on the GPS and as soon as I got to the area where the cache was, the location jumped about 20 metres. After this happened over and over for about 15 minutes I put it away and decided to work my way around in about a 20 metres radius.

No luck unfortunately Sad

I checked all of the obvious spots and the not obvious spots but found nothing. I'll be back with a different GPS to try to narrow the search

Visiting friends with Trodectus, so we decided to give this one a go. Bit damp after the rain but found after a short search. TFTC
