Came back today to complete a bit more of the Bush Ranger series and a few others along the way. I replaced the missing caches as I went to keep this series alive, I hope the CO doesn't mind. The weather gods were on my side and not a drop of rain, once I started caching. TFTH
Out for a lovely day caching on Anzac day, what a beautiful day it is. Did a round trip From Mandurah through Jarrahdale, up Albany highway, then up to perth. Down the freeway back home. Thanks to everyone for hiding the caches for people to find. Tftc sl tnln.
We spend a few weeks in WA and were travelling along the coast. During that, we did some geocaches, and also this one. It's always a great way to see something from the country beside touristic attractions So thank you for showing us a new place, we would't have visit without the Cache!
During a few weeks of vacation, this cache could be found. Greetings from Germany
Day Fourteen of our holiday in Western Oz.
Bettyboo3747 and I went out east to check out some Bushrangers, the Chandler and The Dam Road series, and a few on the way home.
A lovely sunny day, not too hot, not too cold, just perfect for caching.
Been a while since we have been up to Thunderbolt way in central NSW.
But we have read a bit about the Captain. His supposed death does sound suspicious.
Thanks, Robmc.

#12805. Day 14 of our WA holiday and our 9th day based in Rockingham. Robmc and I decided to drive back through Jarrahdale today and visit some of the Bushranger Series, the Chandler Series, the Dam Road Series and a few others along the way. Managed to find 46 today with a few DNF's thrown in.
I know of Thunderbolt's way up near Ebor and Uralla. What an interesting story here and maybe he ended up living a long life with his ill-gotten gains.
Thanks Keego_and_Chil

As we road trip our way to Rockingham from Sydney via Perth and Albany for WA Goes Big next weekend, we stopped at a few of the bushranger caches on our way south today. We chose those we had a connection to, of whatever kind - this one is very connected to me - I've been told William Monckton (you've spelt his name incorrectly in the description) was my great great great grandfather! So of course we had to stop for this one. It wound up being in the obvious spot in the end, that we'd originally discarded as the GPSr said it was 9m away. But we found the hiding container!
Found this cache on our way down Albany highway. We attempted to find caches while we felt it was save enough to stop (i.e the right side of the road). The kids had fun jumping of the car, run into the bush and take turns using the GPS and signing the logs. We have to give you a favorite point for this one. The name alone triggered a lesson about the great Freddy and Queen
(Thunderbolt and lightning, very, very fright'ning me
(Galileo) Galileo, (Galileo) Galileo, Galileo figaro magnifico) LOVE IT.
Thanks for the caches along the road.

This is our last caching day with BecknMonts before she heads to the dark side, so we decided to pick up where we left off standing by me on the railway track, then maybe picking up few a the smaller series as the day continues.
Thank you to all the cache owners for placing these caches and maintaining them. It has been a great trip and deciding to go for quality caches and not number hunting was a brilliant choice on our behalf and we have done nothing but laugh and enjoy the caches we have have found.

Miss-Placed and I came down to meet Becknmonts for one last caching adventure before she ventures further afield. We headed off from Gero finding a few geocahes along the way, we stopped at Moora for Breaky and with quite a few laughs along the trip down, we got there.
Day 4 early start again we have a lot of geocaching planned again today, off we go jiggling just a little bit again, lots of big puddles, nice dirt tracks on stand by me series and a few others along the way

Gabs1963 and Miss-Placed came down to meet up with me for one last caching adventure before I venture further afield. We finished being civil to each other yesterday morning, and we started to stand by each other. Today we are hoping to finish the series as well as get some random caches. I love this area, and hope to be back soon. TFTC Keego_and_Chil
went to civ land today for some maintenance on the series, and stopped at a few caches on the way home to add some smileys to the map. As my phone was dead, i borrowed the iphone, and discovered that the compass on that phone isn't as great as muskcat83 always makes it out to be...must remember to take the sumsang charger with me in future, or make sure that it starts out with the battery on 90% +. Thanks for the hide!
Thanks Keego and Chill for this series. It certianly helps break the trip up. TFTC
Found it. TFTC Keego_and_Chil. Just heading south but I can spare some time to do some more of the bushranger series. Thanks for the history about some of our ancestors.

On a mission to try and find 300 caches for the month so a nice drive to Williams via Albany Highway picking up a gang of Bush Rangers and a few others was the order of the day. A great day with 58 finds, 2 dnf's and one drive by as it was too tricky to pull off the road. A big thanks to the CO's involved and sorry for the mostly generic logs.

Today was my trip from Albany back to Perth, marking the beginning of the end of my WA Goes Big 2016 Geocaching trip. A long drive made interesting (but also made much longer) by all of your cache hides.
Thanks for filling in the trip with this wonderful Bushranger series. TFTC.

Cached my way down to Williams and back this morning to rack up the numbers on some Australian Bushrangers plus a few others. 46 finds and 1 DNF not a bad mornings 'work' I reckon.
Spotted the host object from a distance for a quick find.
Keego_and_Chil I found your cache at 7:27am, this was the 6th of 46 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 2797. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Our second in the bushranger series......so I assume that Fred lived to enjoy his ill gotten gains. TFTC
Been a while since we've logged one of this series. (Not a road we usually travel) Love reading the history on this series. TFTC
On the way home from a succesful morning doing the Chandler series. Another Bushranger down, how many to go? TFTC K&C!
We decided to try a nice early start so I could do some bonding with my new Geo-ute, Max and head for the hills just off the Albany Hwy.
We had planned to do this series at some stage and today seemed a good day to cross a few off the list.
Thanks Keego & Chil

With caching day planned up around Armadale way, we ended up following the Albany Highway & of course had to stop and find a few bushrangers along the way... This was our last find for the day, before we turned off at Jarrahdale Road in the direction of home Another quick find here & it was found in good condition.
TFTC & the history lessons along the way Keego_and_Chil I'm sure we will finish this series one day, maybe next time we are passing through

We are approaching our 1000th find, and have been wanting to attack the Bushranger Series. So as a joke (hint) I suggested to Hubby that we pull the seats out of the back of the Kia, pop in an air mattress and cache our way to Albany. Well Hubby accepted the challenge - we also put solar fairy lights in the back so we had light while camping. It was a fun, laugh a minute, challenging little three day trip. I am copying and pasting most of my logs, with a little special mention here and there.
Thankyou all for placing these caches, we had a ball and were taken to places we would never have gone.

Heading down to Manjimup for a housewarming party, so decided to take three days to get there and back and grab some country smilies. Want to get as many of the remaining bushrangers as I can, another quick find, TFTC.

How crazy of mikirst and to think that we could give this series a bash today since it was a public holiday,WRONG....
the traffic was so busy it was such a mission pulling on and off this road so only attempted a few then went for easier obtainable caches that wouldn't be so hectic. So will have to come back to this series on a more quieter day. TFTC

Found this cache but decided the road was too busy to keep stopping so started to head to Armadale.
The burnt out car wasn't quite what I was expecting to find when I pulled up here, but the cache was a quick find in the obvious spot, which I naturally gravitated towards. Thanks for the cache Keego_and_Chil!
Did myself while geo wife and ge daughter enjoyed the small rest while I geo hunt
Got up early to try and finish off this series. My battery died with 9 to go. Still had a good morning though, 23 finds and 0 dnf's. Gee it was cold. Tftc.
We are camped at Boddington for 3 nights and headed out today to tackle the Australian Bushranger series north from Crossman to Armadale.
Our Geocaching Adventure quote of the day goes to Mr Felix who knew we were doing the Bushranger series but had not read any of the cache pages came out with the quote of the day ' alot of crims' we had here hey!

Headed out early this morning to tackle Blouderdash series and trying to beat the heat as it is forecast to be 38C. While continuing my journey down Albany Hwy picking up some of the Bush ranger series with a number of great hides. Also with some clever camos ...TFTC
Fallen a couple of thousand finds behind in my online logging. Apologies for the massive delay. K.B. is opting for the "better late than never" approach. Thanks for the cache.
This cache was not on my planned list but I was fast approaching falling asleep while driving back to Armadale, so I used it as an opportunity to wake up properly before continuing. SL. - just far enough to wake me up (thanks). Thanks for the cache
found it after a short search just off the road while out on a quiet drive.
great hide.
great hide.
We camped overnight in Williams with richlink and took off early to tackle the bushrangers. We really enjoyed this fantastic series of caches and the intriguing tales of their exploits. Well done Keego & Chil, we had a great day.
After camping in Williams last night with iluvtrekking, we were up bright and early to head towards Perth nabbing the assortment of bushrangers along the way. We were fortunate to catch all the culprits and a few others during the course of the day although hindered slightly by drizzle later in the afternoon. Thanks K & C for the excellent series and the effort put into the research behind each villain, we enjoyed reading their stories.
I set off early this morning to try and finish the remainder of this series. I had some trouble with my GPS which consistently put me at least 5 metres from GZ for the majority of the morning. This made for a lot of searching; however, I did not have a DNF and found 50 today.
Thanks for the series Keego and Chil. The effort that you put into the caching community is applauded and I loved reading up about the Bushrangers.

Today, we took a drive to Williams to do some more of the Australian Bushrangers, and other in the area.
We did the caches on our left driving to & from Williams, (most of the time) to save running across the road.
Geo-wife read the history of each bushranger, which we enjoyed as we drove to each one.
Many thanks , Keego_and_Chil, for all the effort that has gone into putting this series together.

Getting everything logged from my recent trip to Western Australia. The first two weeks were slammed while I was on assignment but I managed to get out every day for a find or two. Got to visit some really remote places like Meekathara and Wiluna and got down to the beaches near Marybrooke and Naturaliste. For the few days I had to myself I hit the Wandoo, the Albany Hwy and the Southwest Hwy Series. So I covered a lot of ground and saw a lot of Western Australia. I had to get used to a lot of things, like driving on the left side of the road, give rather than yield, take away rather than take out and yes with a question mark is asking for conformation. Just goes to show we may speak the same language but words don't always mean the same thing. Sorry for the cut and paste nature of the logs but I have a lot to log and my sanity is important. Thanks to all the locals for the hospitality I was shown while there and thanks to the CO's for the hides, the fun and another smiley on the map. See you on the trail, and cache on!
Well today was my big caching day to collect all the Australian Bushranger caches and whatever others I could grab as well along the way .
And what a warm day it had become
Muggle partner and I left home at 7.30am this morning so didn't arrive in Williams until around 9am and got straight into it there before the drive continued north [^].
We decided to do north and southbound caches in one hit and an easy find thankfully .
Didn't need a torch for this one but the day was getting later and still many more to find before getting home.
Find 57/72 and no dnf for today. TFTC

Out for a day of caching with Kyzabra and Firnsy, the decision was made to cache down the Albany Highway. History lessons a plenty as we found the dedications to those Bushrangers that have dotted our relatively short history. We also managed to grab a few other caches along the way. Over 12 Hours on the road, but lots for smiley faces achieved.
Another name that captured the imagination of a young boy as he grew up, We are definitely getting the hand of these finds.
Thanks for the cache Keego and Chil [^]

Headed out on a day of caching today with Rudi63 and Firnsy. The bushranger series was our primary target and any nearby caches were on the way as well. 12 hours on the road returned 79 logs for me with only 1 DNF. All in all, a great days caching with great company.
Rudi kept us abreast with our history by reading the cache page before arriving at each GZ.
A great series Keego & Chill.
We saw the obvious target but searched elsewhere first. Should trust your gut !!!

Kyzabra, Rudi63 and I set out on what turned out to be a 12 hour caching run ... departed Kyzabra's residence shortly after 5am and arrived back sometime after 5pm. 75+ logs were signed along the way. Had a few laughs along the way and swapped a few caching stories ... all up an epic and most enjoyable day's caching.
Our aim was to grab all of the 'Australian Bushranger' caches and as many others as we could along the way.
I read a couple of books about Australian Bushrangers as a teenager and remember reading about this bloke ... some of the others I have no recollection of. Seems there were a fewof these blokes about the place.
rudi63 made the grab here. Signed the log. Thanks for the cache Keego & Chil. And thanks for a great series .

[:(!] We went for a drive to North Bannister with two of our young granddaughters (part of Owers Corner clan) and on our way back to Perth we picked up some caches along the way and this was one of them, we parked the geoGrand Vitara as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was in hand in a matter of minutes.
