Solved the clever puzzle while at my accommodation in Beechworth. This morning I took a before breakfast walk and made a couple of finds. Thi sone I spotted after going in too far and looking back. TFTC.
A perfect spring day with a bright blue sky above, an ideal time to go for a stroll and pick up this cache. With the babbling creek beside me to keep me company it was a very pleasant walk to GZ where a quick and easy find was made before heading back to my camp. Thanks for bringing me here and thanks for the cache.
Walked to GZ today and found the cache exactly where it should be. It was slightly damp, as was the pencil so swapped the container over for a fresh one, re-hid and continued on our way.
Enjoying a lovely stroll along the creek, chatting about all sorts of stuff on a Sunday afternoon, and we stopped off here to pick this one up that has been in the solved pile for I dont know how long.We found the container uncovered, and in perfect nick, and signed our lives away in the log, which hadnt seen a finder for a while. Then we covered it up a bit and continued on our merry way.
Bikes are loving this trail.Off in another adventure with Kittykatch. Enjoying our stay at Beechworth with the bikes. Day 3 Thanks for getting me out and about BettyBoo3747
Beechworth Road Trip !I joined up with Joolay for a Xmas road trip to the Beechworth area. A lovely day to be out riding these trails. Thanks for the hide BettyBoo3747
Final day of blue sky and sunshine for this trip. With camp packed up we began our way home via a few caches of course. We missed this one on a previous trip so made our way here today on the way out of the caravan park. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. It was a great day out!----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Headed up north for a weekend roadtrip with RoamingHowie. After we packed up the swags, we checked the map for any caches around we'd not yet found. This was so close! How had we not seen this earlier?A lovely morning stroll to gz where RH spotted the cache safely tucked away. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, BettyBoo3747 ~~
I spent the night in the caravan park, so I had an early start for the day. After turning a nearby DNF into a smiley face, I progressed a little further along the track to collect this one that had been solved quite some time ago, with the help of a friend. The ziplock bag had reached the end of it's usable life, so I gave it a fresh one. Thanks for the puzzle, and the cache, BettyBoo3747.
With a bit of a nudge I Finally had done coordinates that looked good - this is a tough one that I have looked at so many times.
Went for the Lake Kerferd to Beechworth walk today chasing butterflies- Spotted Browns are out now and a bonus Satin Flycatcher was also spotted. Parts of the track are supposedly close (and a bit of work going on) but I kept going and at GZ was a quick find - first spot I checked. Glad to finally get this one signed.

Who would have thought that addresses could be a tad tricky. The penny finally dropped and finally I got here - just another wee detour! TFTC and the fun
THE LATE TO THE WANGARATTA MEGA TOUR. [:o)]
We were booked for November 21. [^] Didn't Happen.
Booking transferred to February 22. covid
Booking transferred to May 2022. Yah - made it albeit a tad late.
DAY 7: Today just Blackadders and I head back to try and finish the Randolph the Rat caches . [^] Bushfire and 6hinemoa2 had done them and after acting as chauffeur yesterday went elsewhere so they could actually find some. After spending a whole afternoon for just four yesterday we devoted the whole day just to the remaining nine.
This would have to have been the hardest day caching I have done with cache blinkers on driving past solved puzzles was just awful. The only exception was when there was a cache so near a way point you just had to do it. Here is what we managed in a whole day until after dusk caching by torchlight in the end! Yahoo, bucket list series completed.
The cache was solved before coming over from SA but do we have time to look for it. [?] We need to get back to the car and do some calculations for the last target cache. In the end we decided for the short detour and thankfully we made a very quick find.
***Thanks BettyBoo3747 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Our last day in Victoria Victoria with Brisal5, Bushfire and 6hinemoa2.
Today it was just the Adder and the Starfish with the goal of targeting the Randolph the Rat series to finish them off in the morning and then spend the rest of the day picking up a number of others on the way back to our lodgings.
That plan went out the window as the whole day consisted of searching for the Randolph hides which took much longer than we expected but were a definite to complete at any expense.
All finds were visited and stamped by both the Adder and the Starfish. This is how we play.
All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.
Spotted by the Starfish at the feet of the Adder.
Thank you for the cache BettyBoo3747, found 8/05/2022, 4:43:15 PM

Many years ago we came to Beechworth for a weekend of caching. This puzzle cache intrigued me, but not being familiar with puzzle caches I was not able to solve what looked like a straight forward puzzle. Fast forward 6 years and after several more attempts, I decided to try again. Much to my disappointment I needed some extra hints from a very patient CO. Finally the penny dropped!!!
After a big weekend of caching in Wangaratta this was our target on our evening walk tonight. We were so relieved and grateful to finally put our name on this log. A favourite point for such an intriguing and clever puzzle that kept my fascination for so long.

Continuing on with bushfire to tackle this one after a DNF on a previous visit. The terrain was a little different to previously but had no problems here. I was rewarded with a pathtag for my efforts.
Thanks BettyBoo3747

My good friend 6Hinemoa2 and the ageing Bushfire decided to head up to this old gold mining area for a few days to mainly concentrate on the Randolph the Rat series but grabbing LAB’s and anything else that happened to be nearby. We had both only found one of these guys before and that was #14 Randolph the Rat at Winton Raceway, as it was near the Hume Hwy and also a fair distance from the other 14 caches.
Now if you’re thinking about doing the same thing you must allow a lot of time as so many have multiple WPT’s that can chew up your available time.
Some are easy hides and some are very difficult that will also take up time, but a great time was had as we slowly ticked these guys off our list of caches to find.
We were successful with all bar one, but with new knowledge it will be added to the list on our next trip.
As this guy was in our solved list we grabbed it as we were close by and added it to the found list.
Thanks again BettyBoo3747 for placing interesting caches.

After dnfing this one 7.5 years ago in the company of the CO I made the trip again this morning fully hopeful of success.
I know Aust Post are struggling with deliveries at the moment but this cache was delivered on time and the log is now posted!

This puzzle solve was a team effort, each new thought, using the larger image to help, bouncing off each other to come up with the final prize, plugged it in the checker and 'bingo' a green light. This was a clever thought out puzzle, well done. We walked off to GZ, all good there, dodging the muggle walkers, collected and signed the find and off we went. TFTC BB
Checked today and no further work has been done near the cache. Cache back in play again and I will check periodically.
There is a lot of council work happening around this area so have removed the cache for the time being to see how things pan out. BTW it was actually found in early February this year (but not logged) and was hiding in the correct hiding place.
Matho64 and I looked everywhere amongst the very overgrown grass. Unfortunately no luck today.
I have explored this area a few times over the past 6 months, its one of geokid#3's favourite places to ride. We have seen koalas, echidnas, Brown snake ( near gz) and today plenty of fresh evidence of wombats. This was my second attempt at locating this cache and happy to say my name is in the log and claiming 527 days of unlove. Thanks BettyBoo the last of your envelope series to be found.
Called past this one to check it and it was in plain sight. The only name I noticed in the book was gemmasistema back in 2018 which makes me think McLookers and GB may well have found the other container. It is very overgrown at GZ now so people will need to look thoroughly.
Solved lots of puzzles in town but not sure I’ll get many caches at all in this heat. Nice to nab this one today as we cycled past.
After lunch we decided a bike ride would be nice as it was overcast. Bad idea. As soon as we left the sun came out. We made it to Lake Sambell before turning around and heading back out to our caravan park in the sweltering heat where we promptly jumped in the pool! Ha ha.

I revisited this cache page and to my susprise we had found it on the 14th of May, 2016 in the company of Spy Inc. From memory there was an event on that day and there was a few mugglers around and we think it is very popular for walkers from the near by caravan park.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

A nice walk in along a shaded path on a warm day. beckNmonts found the well concealed container, we signed the log and replaced. Thanks BB3474.
Like Suscoe I also wonder where the heck this one is - amazingly it has been muggled for a second time. I was bemused when the original one went missing and I am stunned that the second one has also done a runner. I searched for it the other day and Rob and I went back today and searched more thoroughly to no avail. It is a relatively secluded area - how is this happening? New cache and log book now in place. Hopefully this third one will last a bit longer.
Suscoe prepared for this trip with some research for this cache,
MAde some progress then a PAF pointed us in the right direction with the final touches to the information we had.
Arrived at Gz today, spent a long time searching, searching, searching with no result apart from a nasty bit of blackberry damage to one hand.
Oh well we are left to wonder where it exactly is.

I was on leave so plans were made to head to the Beechworth area with My good Mate the Roostaman, Today the weather was perfect and we spent the day caching around the Beechworth area, there is so much history here. Thanks BettyBoo3747 for the cache.
**# 15096** Found on an absolutely excellent week long adventure with Rebel Acts.
A perfect spring day for another drive around in Beechworth.

Staying in Beechworth for the 6 months to Surf Coast Event today we came prepared with solved puzzles and a plan to pick up all the local challenges in this beautiful area. After vacating our accommodation we took the leisurely stroll to GZ where we were happy to receive a pathtag while adding our name to the log.
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for a challenging puzzle , had us confused for a long time.

Found with Grumpybump today. Really loved the walk through the beautiful forest here. TFTC
FINALLY! I've had this one solved for a long time but just haven't made it here. The gps was jumping me all over the place but a bit of persistence and looking in the 'obvious' spot repeatedly had it found and signed. TFTC
I set myself a job of working this out on my last visit to town. It took a while as I visited in April last year. A bit of persistance and a hint from a previous find had me there eventually.
Enjoyed the ride up to the GZ. But took a while to find the cache. Was well covered with pine litter. Left a cone pile hint for next finder.
Thanks for the find.

#1572 We were stoked to finally get this one solved after a tiny nudge in the right direction, Mr & Mrs BGF spent much time staring at the puzzle. Only a couple of days after cracking the required coords, we couldn't wait to collect it. Once at gz the search began, it then widened for a while until we decided to trust the gps, it was then with a bit more thorough searching the tough hide was revealed right at 0 metres . Thanks BB, FP for the puzzle and journey from solve to find, it was a long one.... Geohounds had a ball too trying to sniff out the cache .
Solved this cache a long time ago and have even gone to find the cache but ended up with a dnf because the gps was jumping around in circles due to all the tree interference.
Finally I got the chance to have another go and this time we found it. Glad to get this cache off the list.

Day 2 of my weekend down in Albury/Wodonga and surrounds caching with Coruze. Yesterday was a nice big day picking up caches after attending an event and today we were off and at it again. Today we were targeting more of the challenges and puzzle caches. We had a great day out before I had to drive back home to Canberra really wanted more time to continue caching [:p]. Today we seen lots of lovely locations, some great caches, saw a brand new calf trying to take its first steps (mind you, the poor little thing was failing miserably lol) and even seen a historic Ned Kelly location .
This one took a bit longer to locate the cache, coordinates were very jumpy and im not sure I totally agree with the hide positioning, but that's just me. Cache signed, and replaced as found.
Thanks for the interesting puzzle and cache placement BettyBoo3747

This mailbag's contents were all over the place. We needed some help to get it sorted, but eventually we were able to deliver on a sunny, but cool afternoon in autumn. SL at 12.57pm. Took: train Left: kiwi stamp #2887 Very glad to turn this one into a smilie face after all the frustration. TFTC BettyBoo

So close to giving up looking, so close.
This cache was solved some time ago but rarely having the time while in Beechy on previous occasions to actually make the find.
This weekend I made a point of hanging round town to find the caches I haven't had time to do.
Rain had all but stopped by this time and it seems everyone around town must have been waiting for that to happen, wishing minutes of the sun shining there were many people on the tracks, in the parks and fishing the lake.
I had seen young people loitering around this spot before , and evidence of some people still using the area as many baked bean tins and soft drink bottles littered the ground which is a bit unfortunate.
Was almost convinced whoever issue this area had found the cache again, or I had Gz wrong, but one last look just to make sure had uncovered the cache.
Thanks for the puzzle and cache.
TNLN, Cheers.

Hooray finally found the cache so happy to signed the log. - have been search for while... Thanks BettyBoo3747.
Solved this puzzle a while ago and had the opportunity to spare a few minutes while in Beechy. Unfortunately I couldn't find the cache I'll be back but may have to drag someone along to help me look for the damn thing!
Despite the cold and wet weather we finally walked the geodogs to GZ and replaced the container. Only a fruit container now - no fancy hide any more. All good to go again.
Dammit - muggled since Jamin found it in March. Will need to find a new hiding place and rework the puzzle - hopefully in the next few weeks.
Pity this one wasn't there as it was such an interesting solve I rode in here this morning with the cache owner and her presence alone provided confirmation that it indeed was gone. Lovely ride though
I spent some time trying to work this puzzle out. I had a pretty good idea where GZ was going to be but just needed to figure out the final coordinates. I was a bit thrown for a while by all the decoy information in the puzzle but I eventually I had something worth checking. It's always helpful to get a good lead when working out these things, especially when you're new to the puzzle world of caching, thanks to a couple of cachers for their support.
After a few wrong attempts and time spent waiting for the checker to reset, I finally got the green light and a smile on my face. I worked it out!
I headed out today with Noctis77 after work to claim the prize and get the geocaching smiley!
This part of town is great on a cool evening. Lots of creatures out making different noises. A very pleasant place indeed.
Thanks for the puzzle and the cache, BB! I'm looking forward to cracking a few more of yours in the future.

So many letters so little time! Well not quite true, it was night shift, and more than a little quiet - still that is only 12 hours! Cracked the code, the larger image helped (with the smaller image I spent most of the time trying to read them!).
Unfortunately, GZ was more than 200km away, and it was about to become > 1500km away!
Today was the first time I had near GZ.
Took the dogs for a nice walk along the creek, and a quick detour and the large cache was found.
Very cute design.
Dogs were unimpressed, but I was chuffed.
Thanks, Robmc.

2nd to find @ 11:20am.
I had solved all of BB new Letterbox Puzzle caches over the weekend, all that is except this one which had me going around in circles, and it was this one I most wanted to solve as I suspected it was very close to where I wanted to hide a cache.
I kept coming back to some numbers which looked like they might be for one part of the co-ords but could get any other numbers to go with them. I suspected that maybe I was not on the right track, so before I got any dizzier I sent a quick message to BB check if I was on the right track or just wasting my time going around in circles.
I woke up early the next morning with a completely new theory on how to solve it, maybe this puzzle hasn't go me licked after all. I had another look at the print out of the messed up envelopes and good golly a set of numbers jumped out that looked like they might just would work as a set of co-ords.
Jumped on the computer and logged in, there waiting for me was a reply from BB with no hints but confirming that I had indeed been going around in circles as I had suspected.
Without any further delays it was time to check my new co-ords with evince, I quickly typed the co-ords in and pressed the button and up came a red light. How could this be I was so sure I had it right this time, I double checked the puzzle and my answer and still looked good. What was going on?
I clicked on the back arrow to try again, and there was the problem, in my hast and excitement I had missed typed one of the digits. I quickly corrected my typing mistake only to find out that there was a wait time that had to be observed between tries. Finally after waiting the required time, up came the green lights.
Yippee Yahoo, let’s go and see where it is.
Hold on a moment it's still very dark outside and very wet with heavy rain coming down. Oh well the cache is not going anywhere and there is no FTF to be had, I will grab it later in the day when I go to get the mail and hopefully it will have stopped raining by then.
At 11am the rain was still coming down and looked like it was set in for the day, so I grabbed a rain jacket and put on my pair of Cliffy specials and headed off grabbing the mail on the way past the Post Office, left the car at the parking WP and headed off along the track.
With the rain still coming down heavy, there was no fear of meeting up with any Muggles and if I did I had good reason to be here in the rain anyway, as I needed to check out how wet the track was going to be for a Scout hike which I would be leading the next night.
Arrived near GZ, and was have troubles with narrowing it down, with the trees and bad weather.
The screens on both my phone and GPSr needed to be constantly wiped with the inside of my jacket to be able to see what was going on and the touch screen on my phone was not responding to my cold and wet fingers.
After walking around in circles a few times, I was already as wet as I could get not and getting any closer to GZ. With the fear that even after solving the puzzle this cache might have me licked, I decided that the GSP devices were going to be no further help and it was time to get down dirty with some good old hands on searching. My caching senses kicked in and I spotted something, I don't know why it drew my attention but it did and on closer inspection I soon found the cache nearby.
Leaning over it to protect it from the rain I carefully opened the cache. Wow! What a great cache and it is full of lots of goodies. I will have to come back sometime when it's not raining to have a good look at what's inside. Signed the log and placed it back in its hide.
I arrived back at Yowie HQ, all wet and hungry for lunch, and as soon as I stepped inside the rain suddenly stopped.
TFTC BB,
Loved the Puzzle, Cache and Hide, very sneaky and worthy of a favourite point.

FTF Woo Hoo !!
Got the notification for this one while at work (Tuesday Night) and had to wait for smoko breaks to have a good look at it. Ohhh Nooo a puzzle. Had a look but on the small phone screen it was hard to make out. We came up few a few theories during the course of the night but none of them gave us the correct answer. Finally got home and had a look at it on a bigger screen and printed it out and left it for Megs to have a look at, as I had to give in and go to sleep. Woke late in the afternoon and sat at the table staring at the print out trying to get the magic numbers to leap off the page but even a strong cup of coffee wasn’t doing the trick so I put it down again. Had another look at it before bed but still nothing, just lots of names, numbers, stamps, envelopes, and angles. Crawled out of bed this morning and again sat at the table and was greeted by my wife and a nice hot coffee. I was clearing off the table as breakfast arrived and glanced at the puzzle, as I putting it aside. It was then that part of it jumped out and grabbed me……………… OOOhhhhh that and that with this that and the other Ahhh!!! That looks about right and Evince was kind enough to agree with me. Oh and the scrambled eggs were nice even though I inhaled them on the way to the computer. Had to wait for late afternoon for a chance to go have a look and I was sure someone else would have found it before then.
The rain was coming down steadily as I stopped the car at the parking WP but thankfully it eased off as I made my way to GZ. This is a very nice spot for a stroll but even though it is raining there is still a lot of muggle traffic. There are also a lot of school kids roaming around the place today, they all had notebooks and stuff and were looking for something, a few asked directions to some of the sites around Beechworth and at one stage I thought they may have been caching but none of them had a GPS. They must have been on some information seeking school exercise. Luckily they weren’t near GZ so after some hunting around in the damp for a while I managed to find the container. Open the log and was greeted with a nice blank sheet excellent. Yeah !!! Time for the cachers FTF dance of joy. sl t: FTF PT l: mini torch t4tcBB for a great cache in a really nice spot.
