Waiting for lunch to settle I took a short walk and admired the view on the way to the strawberry farm. TFTC.
Found whilst walking a circuit of 6 caches. Then back along the Old Road to have morning tea at the car. TFTC BettyBoo3747
Thanks for the puzzle, solved without too much difficulty a week or two back, and the cache, found without difficulty just now.
Wow this is a really special place, with the huge flat pancake rocks and the expansive panoramic view! The rocks are filled with colour and take on animal shapes and forms. A suitably hidden well camoed cache revealed itself to us. What a lovely spot. Thanks for sharing it with us! TFTC
We saw all around Beechworth while staying with family.
A beautiful large rock with spectacular views in every direction. Great hide. Thanks.

Had solved this one a little while ago and today there was time to go to GZ! Nice warm August afternoon - feels like spring! TFTC
Today we decided to head to Stanley to complete a few more caches around the area, threw the whole gang in the car and headed off early, cold drizzly morning made sure we packed our gumboots.
Have had this one solved for a while now, so detoured off to grab on the way past. Was able to drive right up to GZ, awesome little spot, but very chilly this morning. Cache found in good condition. TFTC!@

We pulled up at the closest parking place we could find and took the stroll to this one. It was handy having a previous finder with us as it was rather hot. Thanks for the cache and bringing us here.

I had planned a method of attack to find this cache, but we found the road I was hoping to use was closed. It looked like a bit of a hike, and I was concerned about the time it would take, as we were way behind my planned itinerary. Mrs Cv suggested we try from the other end, so we gave that a go. We managed to drive all the way to GZ and, after signing the log, we sat and enjoyed the view.
Thanks for the cache, and for bringing us to this spot, BettyBoo.

We solved this puzzle during Covid times last year and have come out today to do some caches in the Beechworth area. Finished the day off with this cache. Lovely views of the surrounding areas. TFTC
This puzzle was completed during COVID lockdown last year. Glad to change it to a smile today. Great views at GZ.
What a destination. Beautiful. Left a TB for someone to take it further on it's destination. Tftc Bettyboo3747
Amazing how many creative and funny kooky letter boxes there are in the NE. Initially wondered about the calculations of GZ but when I got there I had an ah ha moment - well chosen destination. A destination and outing today with purpose(s) after a rainy cold snap and December snow in the high country. Happy no joe blakes lurking in rocks or logs. Love this landscape.TFTC and work to maintain them too.
We (Dalerious and ourselves) were over in Beechworth today with the intention of picking up as many caches as possible along the MMRT to Everton. That changed about 30 min into the ride when the rain and wind started.
We changed tack and decided to pick up as many drive by's as possible instead.
And even a mystery can become a drive by if you have solved it earlier.
What an awesome view.
This took us a bit longer than we had planned. Not finding the cache, that was easy, admiring the scenery is what took the time. Oh, and also trying to avoid the AU XR6 Ford that had been abandoned /dumped almost in the middle of the track. If anyone wants a car.. now you know where one is.
Thanks for showing us this location Betty Boo, and TFTC.

Found 4:15 pm in the company of Cybergran V.
Feeling on top of the world.
Nothin much clever to say here but.....Wow!
What a seriously impressive place to bring us to.
Cybergran V already had corrected coords, and indeed the smiley, but I enjoyed solving the puzzle anyway and finding the cache myself.

What a destination! LeeLee loves find a words and the location is beautiful. A FP from us.
While Mr Morris was exploring the underworld of Mt Buffalo, Lady Morris headed for Wodonga to the event along with BettyBoo3747 collecting some caches along the way.
The puzzle has been solved for some time in the hope that one day we would get up here to actually find some of them. Its a pretty spectacular location, thanks for bringing me here.
It was a fun day - thanks BettyBoo3747

Couldn't end our great day on the Beechworth Everton rail trail with a dnf so we stopped by to grab this one on the way home. Kids solved it earlier in the week. School holiday fun. Thanks BettyBoo

Ah Yes! Another of the type of puzzles we enjoy and can still get our heads around. It has been solved for quite a while and today we had the opportunity to head to the actual destination and log our find and appreciate the views, after attending the Chiltern - Yeah Yeah Event.
Our thanks to BettyBoo3747 for placing this cache.

Armed with some pre solved Mysteries while spending 2 days in Beechworth we made the most of our short time in this lovely area, caching, exploring and attending a local event even. Our first access to this cache was blocked off so we ended up having to backtrack and take a different route which only took a few extra minutes before we were searching for this container in a great little spot.
Thanks BettyBoo3747 for bringing us here , we really liked the surrounding countryside.

On the way back from collecting a solitary smilie this afternoon and decided to stop and check this one. All is good with the cache. Dropped in a TB to continue its journey from here.
Great spot. Took the trackable to send it on its way north in about a week. TFTC.
What a great view .We found the cache and wandered about in the bush while Louise signed the log.TFTC
A postie puzzle that I'd spent a bit of time on last week had us at another top spot this morning. Dropped 'JustJessie' TB.
Thanks again BettyBoo3747.

TFTC. Linda loves word finds. She had solved this quite some time ago . As we are coming to the end of our house sitting stint it was time to find the final GZ. What a fantastic spot. A couple of picnic tables would complement the view. Another reason to geocache. It certainly takes us to areas we would not normally visit.
Day 2 of my weekend down in Albury/Wodonga and surrounds caching with Coruze. Yesterday was a nice big day picking up caches after attending an event and today we were off and at it again. Today we were targeting more of the challenges and puzzle caches. We had a great day out before I had to drive back home to Canberra really wanted more time to continue caching [:p]. Today we seen lots of lovely locations, some great caches, saw a brand new calf trying to take its first steps (mind you, the poor little thing was failing miserably lol) and even seen a historic Ned Kelly location .
Solved prior to the trip down to Albury/Wodonga, cache located, signed and replaced.
Thanks for the interesting puzzle and cache placement BettyBoo3747

Having traveled with me around Victoria and all around Tasmania, even visiting the Cadbury factory there, thought it was time to drop it in a cache to be found by another cacher.
I set out for two days with the intention of doing some high D/T caching, starting in the Cathedral Ranges and then working my way to Mt Buller where I would spend the second day. I was looking forward to the caches and hiking around Mt Buller but unfortunately mother nature had other ideas with my plan as on the Friday afternoon, as I arrived at Buller, severe storms hit the region and thats when the downpour started and continued for the next 48 hours. So the long hikes were out this time and some slip sliding muddy 4WD caching resulted instead up around Yackandandah and the Barandudah Ranges.
Up bright and early this morning, the weather was still atrocious, so I decided to head north and try my caching luck up around Beechworth. I nice little puzzle that I enjoyed doing. I really liked GZ and the views were great. Thanks BettyBoo3747.

Another one that we have sat down to the night before in preparation for our days journeys. We both sat down together to solve this one and had a great little laugh at the names of some of the towns, what were these people thinking at the time i wonder? At GZ we found ourselves at a great location that we would never have discovered otherwise

We were spending a few days in Everton with Alansee and The Drovers trying our luck on some of the power and Rail trails in the area. After a good morning riding up hill we spent the afternoon more leasulaly picking up some of the other local caches.
We enjoy these puzzles a lot more than the ones you have to be an genius to work out. We were also surprised to see we had only been to 18 of these destinations.
Glad we took your advice and loaded the camera as the views here were fantastic, an ideal destination.
To save time and not take up room on the logs we signed as ACDC
Alansee AC The Drovers Team Crackers. (Mainly because it sounded good. )
Many thanks BettyBoo3747 for another good puzzle around some different destinations.

Met up with Team Crackers and Alansee, for 5 days of fantastic caching around Beechworth,
Myrtleford & Yackandandah. We solved many puzzles, before arriving.
Took a break from the power series, to do a few other caches in the area.
This cache found quickly, and in good condition. Log signed as ACDC.

Beautiful view from GZ - stay there for while - enjoyed scene. Signed the log. Thanks BettyBoo.
#973 Another find on productive day for collecting challenge caches we have previously solved. We certainly have had a lot fun solving and finding these caches which are hidden in areas we would not otherwise have known about. The geoSX4 made it all the way to gz and we soon located the cache with a view. Thanks again Betty Boo
I had done the puzzle a while ago but this was the first opportunity I had to visit the area since I'd started geocaching, it certainly won't be the last. I had forgotten how much history is showcased here and never realised how beautiful the scenery is, Muggle Hubby is loving the opportunity to take photos and you were right about bringing a camera to this spot.
This great cache gets a favourite point from me!

[:(!] Had nothing better to do so I did the next best thing, went for a half day of caching, having worked out the co-ordinates before, parked the geocar as close as possible to GZ and walked in from there, on arrival at GZ the cache was located and it was in hand in a matter of minutes.

What an unexpected spot down this road. Was quite surprised at the view here.
Ez boys enjoyed a bit of a run around before we spotted the cache and made our mark. Boys explored the area a bit more and wanted to souvenir an old shot up beer can before it was time to leave.
Thanks for bringing me to a pleasant spot I have never been before.

Nothing like a good old wordfind to get your puzzle confidence going. This was probably the first puzzle that I solved several weeks ago prior to this trip.
I was able to drive pretty close to this one and as the light of the day faded into the west I enjoyed the serenity of this special spot.

Found in the company of baby&Mrs gopher on our drive to the Maker Madness @ The Beech Event at 1045. Baby when to the trouble of making me decipher this in the early morning before my brain got out of bed, then only to tell me he had done it already! What type of friend would give me a headache on purpose? That is why they call him "The Mongrel". SL Tnx BettyBoo3747
micheena - Worked the puzzle out a few days ago, as was hoping to get up for the Event. Thanks to Yullaba for allowing me to tag along, I was able to cross a puzzle cache off the list. I was hoping to find some of my mail here, but no its not at this destination.
What a great view, this was definitely worth the effort. I would not recommend a low car for the journey right to GZ Thanks for bringing us to this great location
3203. Found by baby&Mrs gopher in company with Nodalot on our drive to the Maker Madness @ The Beech Event at 1045. After deciphering this cache and having the numbers confirmed it was great to do the find. Co-ords spot on SL Tnx BettyBoo3747
I'm starting to delve into the ? caches more and more, this one didn't hurt my brain however, it just took me back to my childhood when I'd race my Dad to see who could finish the wonder word search first. I had a bit of free time at the end of the day before school finished so I sat at my desk and raced through the puzzle to get the final coords.
No meeting after school so I jumped in the car and drove out to collect the prize. With a little bit of drizzle about this afternoon a quick find was appreciated. As was a cache that I could pick up on the way home for a change with very minimal detours!

A group of us Canberra Cachers (Sol De Lune, Fityz, and Albida33 ) heading down south for a run around Beechworth, mainly to find all the HSS series but we took the opportunity to gather up some other nearby caches , Completed the HSS and some of the MRT series with a mixture of Bikes and Car as well as some short walks.
wow a nice area, well done of the location a +1 from me and good to see these great places with Geocaching... found the road to drive up but parked about 100m from GZ and took the walk in.

Beechworth HSS trip March 2014 with Mtrax, Sol de Lune and Fitzy. Most of the journey was made up of the HSS puzzles which were all solved before the trip with very little input from me. The collections were made on bike or by car. The various bike legs were the highlight and were very enjoyable. We did manage many other caches in the region and all in all it was a great trip with friends with a good mix of caches and great food at the local pub. Thanks.

The main event for our visit was the HSS Series with many many more in between. SDL says it all in his log. All my fault really !! Lol...
Apart from the series there were many puzzles we had solved prior to the trip - this being one of them. We made a hasty trip north to beat the rain for a while and grabbed this one while we did.

Seems to be a theme around these parts...so many Letterbox caches. No problems though, as it gives us plenty to find. We'll be back for another run later in the year, so we must have an event to meet the locals.....which pub would be the best. We ate downstairs at the Nicholas both nights this time, and the food was great!!!

This was another of the puzzles we solved during a wetter than normal winter. Today we went to look for the cache. We really enjoyed the walk to GZ and the views. The geology of the area was also quite interesting. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and it's contents were in good condition. Thanks for the puzzle BettyBoo3747, for the cache and for bringing us to a wonderful location..
Suscoe's 4th find of 13 for the morning around Beechworth.
A cloudy but warm morning accompanied us with a very gentle breeze just keeping things delightful.
Sorted out the puzzle this last week. Nice to see as we have some similar type caches back around Geelong. A nice walk in the bush and GZ was located, logged and returned.

#4661 This puzzle had "The GeoPrincess" plastered all over it (in our household that is) - so whilst some chores were being completed The GeoPrincess was given the task of solving this her very first puzzle cache . She soon had a likely set of co-ordinates after only a few distractions. When we arrived at GZ The GeoPrincess was hoping that it was going to be a memorable one & she wasn't disappointed. Dad left her to it to find the cache and after a bit of a look here and there she had the well concealed cache in hand. Dad & The GeoPrincess were both were so very impressed with GZ that they came back and drove the Queen up to enjoy what was offered at GZ too. TGP loved this whole experience so its a favourite from us as a result. Thanks BettyBoo3747

A nice puzzle and a fabulous spot for GZ.

I had enjoyed solving the puzzle a couple of weeks ago and have been looking forward to visiting the final destination.
After finding Letterbox - Stamps so quickly I thought I still had time for another so I headed off to the destination to collect another smiley, thinking it would also be a quick park and grab.
My first mistake was that I was in the wrong vehicle, it would have to be a park, jog and grab.
My second mistake was inspecting a small dumped freezer chest on my way to GZ, as I lifted the lid I was instantly greeted with a foul smell of rotten meat which was still bagged up in the bottom of the freezer.
I quickly closed the lid and put some fast distance between me and the freezer, it was good to be jogging again and getting some fresh air into my lungs.
A short distance later I arrived at a great destination with wonderful views, a place I hadn't been before.
After taking moment to appreciate the views it was time to narrow down GZ and mark my mark in the log book.
My third mistake was I had only grabbed my phone and left the Magellan behind in the car.
I looked at my phone and it pointed in the direction I was facing and indicating that GZ was only a few metres away, so I made my way closer and the distance kept getting smaller. I stopped at 2m and started to glance around, there a few possible spots here but shouldn't take long. Before starting my search I looked at the phone again to make sure that it had settled but it was now saying I still had 18m to go, so I continued on until the distance was back down to 3m, where there were more possible hiding spots, but when I looked at the phone again it was now pointing 22m in another direction. This went on a few more times and had me stopping at many different spots over a wide area, all with many hide possibilities. I was spotting all sorts of interesting discarded items but nothing was jumping out at me as being a cache and It would take too long to search everywhere and everything.
I know the cache is called destinations, but this was becoming ridiculous, it can't be hidden in all these different spots. The light was starting to fade, I had no torch with me, my spare time was almost up anyway and I still had to jog back to the car. It was looking like this one would be a DNF for sure.
As I started walking back my phone said I was getting close again back at the first spot it had indicated but hadn't searched. My phone was like the boy who called wolf, could I trust it to be telling the truth this time, was it trying to make amends for all its lies. OK there is just enough time for a very quick search here, but only if I run a bit quicker on my way back to the car. A few seconds later I had the cache in hand.
If all had gone right this could have possibly been a quick park grab but not this time.
Thanks Betty Boo, for the puzzle, adventure, cache and destination.

A beaut cache which has all the aspect we like about a mystery, a puzzle which is solvable with a bit of sweat, and a final location which proves to be well worth the effort with fantastic views and/or aspects. We don't have a 4wd but that doesn't worry us, it was a good simple stroll to GZ from our parking spot, and GZ was truly special. A hidden gem no doubt!.
Like Post Codes the provinces had amusing titles and we had a good chuckle at the Australian humour when naming towns. The required numbers appeared and it was just a matter of scheduling a date to sign off on the cache.
That day was today, and after picking a couple up before we arrived, we moved on to this one. SL at 4.45pm. Wished we had taken a camera/mobile phone to GZ with us, especially with the sun setting. Great puzzles! TFTC BettyBoo3747.

This is a hidden little gem with a great view. This is what I like about geocaching as it takes you to places that we don't know about.
Worked this one out over lunch and added it to the list for today. Didn’t know if I had the right co-ords for this one and I was having second thoughts as the GPS was taking me into the unknown. Dodged a few rabbits and then noticed the track off to the left. Time to leave the vehicle and let the feet do some work. The scrub soon gave way to a rocky out crop and then to a lovely view. Stood there for a while admiring it and then started looking for the cache which didn’t take too long, signed the log and then tucked it away and was about to get out the camera when the rain came again and I had to make a quick dash back to the car. Oh well next time, would be nicer with the sun out proper anyway. sltnl: torch t4tcBB
FTF!!!!!!! Had a lovely lunch in Beechy with the family for mothers day and as it happens we found these new ones when we came home. So back again to see how we go at these new caches. Solved this one on the way to Beechy. It still amazes us the things you don't know are there and then a cache shows you the hidden treasures. SL TNLN Thanks BettyBoo3747 for a great evening.
