Getting hotter today. Glad I am on the return journey.

Last year I went the walkway all around and there were so many spider webs, by the time I was here I couldn't be bothered looking for the cache. This year most of the way was cleared by people looking for the giant. TFTC

13-Dec-22
Today we went to Lake Clifton. There it has a few Tradis, Lab Adventure and Earthcache. On the way there, we were also able to search and find one or the other cache. Thanks for the caches !

12-Nov-22
Today the geocaching mission for TaurusSix and I was to head towards Preston Beach and then explore the Yalgorup National Park and onto Clifton Lakes and the Thrombolites area including all the surrounding wetland areas and lakes. Once again milder than expected but we do not mind this for geocaching. There were a few early spits of rain but otherwise a nice overcast day with the sun occasionally breaking through. In many of the areas we walked to collect geocaches unfortunately there were more exotic flowers than native wild flowers However it was certainly very colourful and we seemed to have a day of disrupting the sleeping mobs of kangaroos. What a wonderful area to explore.

This is our eighth cache find for the day. Mozzies are on steroids here, luckily a nice quick cache find along this nice long and straight stretch of this magnificent walk. Now on to see the Giant. TFTC Tomthewizz

4th cache found, I'm a newbie! Actually geohubby found it, first one he's found and I think he got a bit of a thrill about it even though it felt like I was dragging him out today. Cache is clean and dry and in a great spot, right by the track. Thanks Tomthewizz for a good hiding place.

A pleasant afternoon spent exploring the area and picking up a few caches along the way. Managed to complete the Ad Lab and multi nearby as well as this great little series of hides.

This one was a fun one and could’ve been a lot more difficult if we had of allowed it to be. Luckily after to finding the first few we pushed on deciding to go back and try this one later and then spotted what we should’ve done in the first place Thanks for the challenge kind of fun

After making the turn the twins took turns getting a shoulder ride as we walked back southwards.

As Mr Z got back down on the ground he spotted a likely hide spot and uncovered the cache.

Thanks Tomthewizz for placing this cache for me to find, this is find number 2491 for me.

SVKR_WA, Kyzabra and I made some plans for a day off that we all happened to have, Lake Clifton area was selected as it fitted some of the criteria for a few challenges, we nabbed a few here and there on the way down and back.

We headed off early with the bikes loaded up with plans to ride around lake Clifton along with a few hikes thrown in for good measure. Plenty of smack talk from my two caching consorts* today as is expected.

*verb

"you chose to consort with the enemy"

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache, you help make the game what it is today.

SVKR_WA, Allied_Oz and I headed out today to try and clean up some of the caches around Lake Clifton. We all managed a day off work so decided to make a day of it.

We headed off early with the bikes on the back for a ride around lake Clifton amongst a few decent walks and picking off a couple of old caches.

Last one on this stretch. Now the multi and the car.

Many thanks to Tomthewizz for placing and maintaining LAKE CLIFTON WALK TRAIL E. We found it, signed it, and put it back as found. We found this one at 10:37 am on Thursday and this is my find 8672.

Really enjoying the bike ride. Made a quick find here.

A plan was hatched for a midweek get together for some caching and fun. Someone had the crazy idea of taking the bicycles along to grab a few along the way.

I dug the pushie out of the shed and made an attempt to get it roadworthy with some success.

Picked up AlliedOz early this morning and headed to meet up with Kyzabra. Off we headed south for a day of geocaching fun. Planned to pick up some oldies, some wonders and a few good D/T finds.

Tomthewizz SVKR_WA is happy to have found your cache LAKE CLIFTON WALK TRAIL E today at 10:38:14 27 Aug 2020. This brings my find count to 4258

Tomthewizz - Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment. We love travelling and visiting some places that we would only visit due to this game.

Firstly, apologies for the lateness in logging.
Despite my tardiness, you can be assured I enjoyed each and every cache found and not found.
Apologies if this is a generic log, my memory is good, but not that good.

After so many DNF's headed down to Lake Clifton this weekend to find out what has happened to our cache. Ended up having to go down there twice as our first attempt had us scampering back to the car as the heavens opened up. Must be the first heavy rains in months. Seemed to set in so we went home. Our second attempt the next day was more successful though still some light showers around but no where near like the day before. Finally made it to GZ and it looks like some track maintenance has seen some dirt pushed over our hiding spot. Had to dig about half a metre and to our surprise lo and behold there it was still there Big Grin. Should have seen young Tomthewizz, he was like a dog digging in the dirt, dust was going every where. We should have taken a shovel. Kept and eye out but luckily no one came along otherwise I'm sure they would have been wondering what on earth was going on. Finally retrieved cache and re-hid nearby. Also added some extra swag, put log into a new plastic bag, added an extra pencil and silica gel satchels. All ready for next finder! Have also added a hint in the description and updated co-ordinate location.

Lovely weather today for a bush walk, so dragged geohubby away from the computer and we both got some exercise completing the Lake Clifton Walk Trail. Other than the clouds of midgies making it hard to breath at times, and zillions of tiny spiders and their webs whenever stepping off the trail, it was a great walk, with the wildflowers adding to the enjoyment.
Thanks for the series and the cache Tomthewizz.

03-Oct-13
Thanks TTW for another great series. Decided to go for a bike ride to get these on a classic spring day. A couple of muggles around but managed to collect them all.
Great view from here. The weather was perfect.

11-Aug-13
Decided we needed a decent walk this afternoon and this series had been on our radar for a few months so it all came together today Smile

Picked up Stephanie, our exchange student from Peru to introduce her to caching and take her for a stroll in the bush on a very pleasant winters afternoon. All was great except for the clouds of midgies which were so thick it was a difficult to talk without ingesting the wildlife Sad. Stef took to wearing her jacket over her head as a preventative measure. The only consolation was the they weren't the biting type, so despite being swarmed for most of the walk, we didn't get bitten.
It didn't seem possible but the midgies swarms were even thicker on the return loop.

We did finish the loop and saw a number of birds and some wildflowers starting to emerge and got our walk in - so not a totally bad experience Wink and Stef wasn't put off geocaching, but she's definitely over midgies Big Grin

Thanks for the cache Tomthewizz [^] - a find for Mr K this time, signed the log and left one of our stretchy lizards.

Arrived in the car park with iluvtrekking around 8am and it was a very chilly 3 degrees. Our plan of attack was that the geo-hubby's would do the Lake Clifton series while us girls did the multi on the same track. The boys headed off ahead of us on bicycles and the plan for them was to get to Swan Pond first. They got a bit confused (probably brain freeze from the cold!)on the northern end of Lake Clifton when they came across a heavily padlocked gate and mistook it for private property. They added a few extra klms to their trip trying to navigate around the property only to find the well defined track later would lead them to gz. Fortunately the other caches in the series were straight forward and they did a mighty effort to complete the 6 caches in two and a half hours. Thanks Tomthewizz.

16-Jun-13
Mr richlink & Mr iluvtrekking headed off on their bikes disappearing into the early morning mist not to return again for 2.5 hours, flushed with success. While they were gone the girls tackled the nearby multi cache. Thanx for the challenge Tomthewizz.

15-Jun-13
Well that was not easy! We were cycling a path that allowed the others to be found easily but this one resulted in an 80m trek thru thick scrub! Took tb I think we earned.

The trail so far had been nice and pram-friendly, but about here it stopped... I did have DangerMouse09 in the back and Master 1 in the front of the pram, but as the track got bumpier and bumpier I had to ditch the kids Surprised Luckily Mistraluna did a great job of looking after Master 1 whilst I pushed the empty pram! We then watched the GPSr count down to the obvious spot... DangerMouse09 suddenly had a spurt of enthusiasm and quickly found the cache [^]

The kids were delighted yet again to check out the well stocked cache... Thanks Tomthewizz Big Grin A FTF for us I see, in the new spot of course Wink
