Lets try this again. After a small foot injury stopped us from going further last week, we are back to do our maintenance check day up to Springfield... and of course it had to rain (sigh) As it was currently just a constant spit we decided to stick it out as far as we could hoping we would come into the forecasted good weather soon. This was our first stop and the barrier has taken abit of damage and taken the cache hostage. Mum managed to get the cache out which was still in great shape so we added a smiley to make sure its returned to the correct side. All good here again. Happy Caching
Road not to busy (when traveling greymouth to chch) so swung across to parking area. Quick find. Tftc
TFTC the silver has worn off but still a good cache. Signed the book. Managed to find and replace in Between muggles driving by.
Off to Gladstone to do a drive on the recently upgraded Gladstone OneNZ site. A good opportunity to collect a few more minutes. I was in Greymouth yesterday.. wasn't expecting to be back to soon.
Crunched through the ice on the ground and made a very quick find in between passing cars.
TFTC gracie7 + Mum, the cache was found in good order Signed, sealed and returned to GZ. 2 find(s) of 3 today, making this find #4243

Day 1 of a 4 day road trip. Today we're heading east to west, final destination Arthur"s Pass. There's a fair few k's to cover before we reach our destination. A quick stop here. TFTC
Found it! We skipped quite a few caches between the coffee one and this one because it was raining, but the rain had abated and there was a good place to pull over and quickly grab another in this series. TFTC!
Another fun find in the bridge series
Lovely sunny day, have taken lots of pictures of mountain tops.
Thanks for the hide gracie7 + Mum

A quick park and grab while on a day trip to Arthurs Pass grabbing a few roadside caches on the way back. Steady rain falling on this normally dry weather cacher, GPS not required once we identified the theme; TFTC
The mountain behind you should be called mount regal not mount O’Malley just saying

Out with busy paws and stopped for this one. All good with cache. Thanks for the cache gracie7 + Mum.
A quick find in the heavy rain today suspect it will be a very short visit to Arthurs!! TFTC
I have been enjoying this BTG series and so many different bridges. Such a lot of work has gone into placing and maintaining them. TFTH
I am out on my own today, big bro had other things to do and besides he has found these caches earlier.
I am mainly locating and signing off th BtG series and any others that get in the way.
One of the BtGs.
Cheers for the cache.

On a camping trip with 4 people, I am the only cacher! That means only easy to find ones near our walking tracks. Or - like in this case - getting up early and out for a run. We stayed at Klondyke camping and I was the first awake. Tried to get to GZ by the trail but got lost at some stage and ran on the road (not busy at 6am on a Saturday morning).
This was one of the places were we particularly noticed the wildflowers making a colourful display. However we also noticed the wind so did not linger.
Thanks.
Thanks.
I've been interested in finding this series of caches ever since they were published. Finally, I'm here. I think this is only the second time I've been on this road, the first time was probably a one-stop trip, silly eh! I much prefer taking my time, stopping lots, having a good look around and - - - just breathing the air. Thanks for helping me do just that!
Quick find today especially with so few cars on the road. Not often able to stop because of the traffic. All good with cache. Tftc
TFTC on a trip to find the South Island TMGT caches but time for a few png’s on the way through and also need to stop and stretch as well. Will be back one day to grab some more . Such a lovely drive
Thanks gracie7 + Mum for placing this cache
It was another quick stop... such a bad habit.
It was another quick stop... such a bad habit.
So need to come up here and complete this series. Going to have to be our last for today as need to be back in Christchurch by a certain time. Quick and easy though. TFTC
After a quick visit to Greymouth with Nosynel and Ethness it is time to go home. My plan is to get the BtG series completed with a few others. Please excuse the boring repetitive logs! No workers here today. One car eyed me as I found the hide. Thanks for the cache, CO.

After a couple of near misses at AP, were back on the BtG trailer. Gotta do these to reach my 100th find.
A cache, and then a hut to bag, 2 from 2, bonus.
Onto the trail proper now, it's caching all the way for lots of park n grabs and a couple of modest walks.
It's the last full day of the trip and I intended to make the most of the day and was up with the lark, cockerel more like, and in the car at 0530 ready to get going. I called in for an early brekkie and hit the road early to meet Ricardinho.nz at Springfield. We cached our way back to the West Coast via road barriers and others en route and I set off for home after leaving him in Greymouth after visiting all 8 of the TMGT caches there. Home at 7PM and a decent haul of over 80 caches, including 5 Earthcaches. Awesome scenery and views and a cracker day of weather too. 620KMS for the day travelled and time for a rest!
It's that time of year again when Marlborough residents get a double bubble, two 3-day weekends in a row and a chance to get out there and find some caches. Last weekend I headed over to Golden Bay with ricardinho and we managed a healthy numbers-boosting haul of 82 over 2 days. This weekend I'm planning on finding some already solved Canterbury caches and get me closer to a 5 figure finds number, the big 10,000. At the start of toSaturday this was a 4 day, at the end it was a 120 plus day!!
The Saturday was planned to be a big day and to get over 100 caches in a day if possible and start converting those puzzle pieces into smiley faces. Success was achieved in that we found over 120 each. I personally found my missing Smurfs, Metal Mania, Glossary of Geocaching as well as a number of other solves and collateral Traditionals. The Canterbury weather turned it on and a good day was had with ric.nz driving and me navigating (sort of)
The Sunday was a Geo-art loose ends day. My plan wqas to track down the remaining Smurfs, round up some horses and grab a couple of loose Eclipse mint tins. I also explored the realms of Springfield in preparation for a return across SH73 on Monday.

Last day of the long weekend and a long drive back to Blenheim via Greymouth (yep, that’s right) with the goal of getting a whole heap of ‘bridge the gap’ caches and anything else easily accessible or interesting.
With a lot of kms to travel, there was not room for much more unfortunately.
So a successful trip but the real heroes were the weather and the scenery.
I had forgotten a bit how stunning it can be in and around places like Castle Hill and Arthur’s Pass, and a great spring day with snow-capped mountains for a backdrop made a bit of a self-inflicted slog actually quite enjoyable.
Thanks all COs, and sorry for the cut and paste, but I hope you can understand why. All logs signed Cap/ricnz or variations on the theme.

Another gap bridged and in the bag on my way past today thanks gracie7 + Mum. TFTC # 13,849
Found this one while on a holiday away from our home in Whangamata Thanks for the cache
Quick find after pulling over. Just had to find a gap in the traffic. Thanks to all cache owners for taking the time to place and maintain your caches. Team Broadbent (signed TB on micros). Find # 1839
Thanks for this series. I've broken my trip home on several occasions to nab these. I'll give it a favourite as an appreciation of your work.
This series was the main reason for our trip today and we have now found them all except one where there were too many people in the adjacent carpark to risk looking for it.
Thanks to this and other finds I now need only one more find to get hold of that elusive World Turtle.
Thank you gracie7 + Mum

We are on a mission today trying to get the numbers for the Hidden Creatures Challenge. We were committed to some caches around Cass but also to our habit of caching back. Meaning travel as far as the furthest away cache planned for the day then find the caches on the way home. It meant a round trip of about 400km and meeting our objective in the process Overall the weather was nice to us although thick fog in the morning slowed us down for a while. We finished the BtG series that we started in May 2013 but for one that had to many prying eyes from parked vehicles. The weather conditions were from thick fog, freezing rain to bright sunshine, ink black night sky and in temperatures from below zero to rather pleasant. We awarded a fav for the series to the Master Cache. Thank you gracie7 + Mum
Supporting my friend and his daughter as they spent a few days completing the Coast to Coast course. Took the opportunity over the first couple of days to complete 35 geocaches with the youngest daughter as my navigator.
Great weather over the couple of days geocaching. Apologies for the cut n paste logs.
We enjoyed the BtG series (having already grabbed a few when I supported my friends last year).

We were heading to Christchurch so thought we would go this way. We were really impressed with the amount of safe parking at these caches through here. As we were in a campervan we only stop where we feel safe and where we feel other road users won't get upset with us. Thanks for the BtG series
Found on a family trip to NZ. Today we were driving from lake Brunner to Christchurch and did as many btb caches as the family would allow. Great to break up a car trip. Tftc!
Today's mission was a drive from Christchurch to Greymouth on my way home to Nelson. Trying to find 'a few' caches along the way. It's been ages since I travelled this route so there were actually heaps of caches to find and at the end of the day my tally was 81. Biggest cache day for me for a while. One of my objectives for the day was to find as many BtG caches as I could. I managed to find quite a few. A few DNFs. A few DNAs due to muggles or distraction. BtG counter = 12. TFTC, Biggles.
Day 2 S.I Sheffield to Greymouth
Drizzling rain most of the way, we stopped where we found it suitable with a car we were not used to.
The scenery along this route was amazing, great views from every angle. I think how more amazing it would be on a clear day.
It's so lovely & green & not having to worry about snakes sure is a big plus.
Thanks for placing this cache gracie7 + Mum

A good sign of addiction - leaving the grandchild behind while going caching with your adult daughter! We finally found a day we could both get away, and we headed off into the wild to find some! Great day, even though the weather was a little suboptimal. Lots of fun, TFTC!!!
Day # 7 in New Zealand on a geocaching holiday-trip covering Thailand, Australia and finally my beloved NZ .
I had so much looked forward to return to this beautiful country, and now I'm here again - awesome!
Today's tour took me from Timaru via Alpine Roads to Arthurs Pass.
The weather was brilliant throughout the trip – although very strong winds . The landscape was sensational [^] and scenic spots invited for a photo-stop or a little rest - or a little cache ....
Needless to say, that along the route quite a lot of little treasures were waiting to be discovered .
Ended up in rainy and chilly [B)] Arthurs Pass - but rewarded with 30 Finds - a good days work [^] !
This one: Quickneazy parkngrab! [:o)]
Hey - Canterbury and Southern Alps- you have awesome caches [^] !
A big thanks [:X] to all Owners involved [^] for hiding and maintaining .
Special thanks to gracie7 + Mum [:X] [:X], who are responsible for 1/3 of my finds today - I love you!
Cheers from Germany

Geocaching and holidaying in beautiful New Zealand with SwagHo from Vancouver Island, B.C., Canada TFTC.
QEF and right near our first kiwi crossing sign. Here with HennyGeo on a month's holiday in lovely NZ from Vancouver Island, Canada . TFTC
A quick find on the way over to Christchurch via Arthurs Pass, Thanks for the whole series.
TFTC. Had the opportunity to bring a Coast to Coast participant over the pass for a training run.
What to do with the 4 hours between drop off and pickup?
Look closely at a few bridges between here and there!!
Thanks gracie7 + Mum for the cool series.

Eleventh find of the day!
We were out today going around the South Island, finding some caches. This was the eleventh cache we found. We found the best point of entry to the cache from where we were.
After parking the car nearby, we headed off to GZ. A quick search resulted in a find with spot on coordinates. I stealthily retrieved the cache, signed the logbook and replaced it as I found it.
Thanks for the nice easy cache.
Took: Nothing
Left: Nothing
Coordinates were perfect and contents and cache were in good condition.
Well done.

Gracie7 + Mum have dramatically slowed the Arthurs Pass travel time. There was a time this was Moneydork's domain. I came back to NZ for Mega2015 and passed this way in my travels. So thanks for the caches.
On my way home after another wonderful MEGA weekend.
My reason for driving home this way. To collect a few more of the BtG series.
Having just spent a couple of hours on the Road to Avoca it was time to hit the Bridge series again. #11
