Ooops. Scanning the cache page and see this has been sitting in drafts for some time. Found on a return trip home after visiting a geobuddy in Shep. No horses to disturb today! TFTC and the FUN.
Yep, couldn't find this one today. Found what looked like a good hiding spot, but no container in sight.
Camped at Broken Creek, this cache was on the way into Benalla. Found it quickly and easily in a logical spot. Excellent stuff.
I was heading up to Bright from Melbourne today to join friends for a week touring the high country... taking my time so I could find caches in the Benalla and Wangaratta LGAs... the things you do when you get bitten by the "challenges bug". It was now early afternoon and I still had many caches to find... so it was on towards the Winton Wetlands... stopping for various caches as I went. Thanks **jigg61** for this cache... a straight forward find.
I came to Benalla yesterday to start my assault on the Winton Wetlands series. Spending the night in town, I made a plan to grab some caches accessible by car, and this is where I started my day. I'm pleased there was no racing here today, as the crowds could have "cramped my style".Thanks Jigg61. This is a nice area, and I drove around the recreation ground for a look while I was here.
I was scratching around for a plan last night to help in my quest for a twenty eight day streak this month. I was checking out my statistics and noticed that i wasnt all that far off the 360 degrees challenge so decided to put together a list of caches to complete it. I am tackling that list today with what may end up being a bit of an epic tour. This morning i got up way before i usually do, packed drinks and snacks, geopooch and tott, and got underway. Wish me luck!
Its just after midnight and this is the final cache I had placed on my list for an epic run from Pyalong to Benalla via Yea and a plethora of other places in between. I have found some great caches today, or should I say yesterday, with thirty four finds, three DNF and four did not attempts. This was a sweet little hide to finish the day, thanks.

Well the wheel of challenges for this month has been spun by HQ and it has come up with Streak Month.
This means that I have a lot of detours and kilometers to do on the way home from work as I have found a lot of the caches in my area.
This weekend will be a lot easier to as I’m on a weekend end trip away up north with an extra day thrown in.
It was nice and dry in Melbourne but up around here every thing is soaked and there is still minor flooding around as well.
It was time to head towards home but I called in here on the way past.
No horses galloping around today so I had the place to my self.
I soon added my name to the log.
Thanks jigg61 TFTC.

After a weekend of camping in Benalla it was time to head home, but not before grabbing a quick cache on the way out.
A nice quick find here.
Thanks jigg61 for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy.

Bluey found this one pretty quickly. A great hide but a bit disappointing that the last person to find it put sauce packets and literal rubbish in it. We took the rubbish out and replenished the swaps with some of our own.
After the mega, my sister Nakarra_L and I headed home the long way, and did some caching.
Nakarra_L found it. Heading home we broke the journey up

Found on my way home after attending the Mega Event in Rutherglen. Spent some time caching around northern Benalla before heading towards Shepparton. Thanks for the cache jigg61!
Caching with Oddiewan and our improving 4-legged cacher pup, we are on holiday and headed to the Rutherglen mega for Easter weekend.
A great cache for long vehicles (caravan in tow) but only if nothing is on at the racecourse— we were thankful nothing was on. Came down this way to log a cache for this LGA before going to park at the Mega in Rutherglen.
Thanks for the fun, jigg61

Accompanied crank1 on the way to mega Rutherglen. Detour and find it and sign the log. Thanks for the cache and hunt ️
Nice quick easy find. Dropped off a travel bug from America. Signed log and replaced with all the spiders webs. Cheers.
*Found on the 15 Jan 2023 @ 8:28 am.*
*Cache find # 14017.*
I headed out on a road trip to concentrate on 3 particular LGA’s finding enough caches in each so that I will finally qualify for a particular challenge cache.
I was passing by this one so I stopped, it was long before the cache was found and the log was stamped.
**Thanks to jigg61 for placing this cache.**

This morning we left Ballan after a great stay with family and a celebration that went well into the evening, so it wasn't an early start!
The traffic was kind as we headed back into the outskirts of Melbourne and joined the Ring Road as we headed round to the Hume Highway for the trip to Benalla where we stayed for the night.
We met up with our good mate Rebel Acts who is joining us for the trip to Rutherglen where we hope to do some serious caching.
The journey was broken up by stops for caches en route, then finally arriving in Benalla where we dropped the van and set out to look for caches we had not found on our previous day.
Again, another satisfying day.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache jigg61.

Finally on our way to Wangaratta for a few days caching with my very good caching mate from Bacchus Marsh 6Hinemoa2 and great caching friend from Adelaide and his mate the Blackadders.
Due to COVID lockdowns and other problems this trip has been postponed a number of times but we are finally going. Once in the area we put 3B6 or Bushfire in our logs to save space.
With so many caches found I have to use the cut and paste method as we found so many great caches from so many different cachers, so a big thank you to all those folk.

Out on a caching adventure of 4 days with bushfire, Brisal 5 and Blackadder. We stayed nearby at Goorambat and travelled around from there.
This was the third find for us after arriving and travelling down a dirt and bumpy road. The drizzle had stopped as we pulled up and the container was spotted very quickly by brisal 5.
Thanks for this one jigg61

Day 2 of a trip to Victoria and targeting around the Wangaratta area. The afternoon consisted of traveling from Kerang to Goorambat meeting up with Bushfire and 6hinemoa2 at our base camp.
A few hides were targeted where we could with time permitting as we had to arrive at our base by a certain time.
All caches were in good condition unless noted otherwise.
Thank you for the cache jigg61, found 4/05/2022, 5:03:56 PM

THE LATE TO THE WANGARAATA MEGA TOUR. [:o)]
We were booked for November 21. [^] Didn't Happen.
Booking transferred to February 22. covid
Booking transferred to May 2022. Yah - made it albeit a tad late.
DAY 2: Kerang to Goorambat:
Up reasonably early we decided to have a look around and ended up doing all the possible caches and started towards Goorambat. [^] Put in how long to see how much time we had for stopping at caches along the way... Bugger all. Oh well we did manage to stop for a few.
Once arrived at our digs we waited to be joined by Bushfire and 6Hinemoa2 to arrive. Then we set of for Benalla for some supplies, grabbing a few caches as we went...as you do. [^] So save space in logs we signed BBB6 or 3B6 or similar.
A very quick find for us here ink the obvious place.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again I will trying to get the other two this year. [^] Should be easy as I only have to get two multi caches in July from the lockdown and couldn't get out. [:o)] The other was DNF's that came down from over 50 to the low teens before blowing out again but I really want to see only single a single digit this year.
***Thanks jigg61 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

We are on our way North to look at the silo artwork and we made a slight detour for this cache. Plenty of Blue-faced Honeyeaters around. The container was found quickly at GZ. Thanks to jigg61 for the cache.

Day Two: St. Arnaud to Wangaratta.
The forecast for weather in Wangaratta didn’t look good, so I was in no hurry to get there.
My first cache in Benalla LGA, freeing up some time on the homeward journey. All quiet here on a Friday afternoon, I imagine it’s pretty crazy if they’re racing.
Don’t drop the cache!
Thanks jigg61.

What a beautiful parkland, with such magnificent trees. I agree with previous geocacher about returning the cache safely. TFTC
What a great cache location! I was worried about putting it back just in case I dropped it. Thanks for the hide.
Well it has been some time seen lve been able to get so close to one like this beauty, great location.

Quick stopped at Benalla for lunch break before heading to Yarrawonga for Easter long weekend camping. Nice racecourse nearby. Found it and thanks jigg61 for placing this cache
Got the call from Rebel Acts regarding going to Bonnie Doon and putting some smiles on the map, couldn't think of anything better than caching on a nice Saturday.
Cheers for the cache.
Cheers for the cache.
We had to head to Bonnie Doon for the day so Natgirl could check on the horses at our Family property there so this gave Me a few hours to go caching so I invited My good mate Omegaman1971 along for the day to get a few more caches in the North East and to go do the Lab at Tatong.
This is one of the caches we found on our travels.
Thanks jigg61 for the cache.

TFTC. We were heading back into campo in Benalla, but not before finding some more local caches. This was a nice easy drive by. Good be interesting on race days. ;-0
A peaceful area today but would be very busy on race day, so the question arises, "How can a cache be hidden in such a setting that would survive race day crowds?" Never underestimate the ingenuity of a geocache owner!
I can imagine a geocacher finding such a place and instantly deciding that this is a place for a cache.

We were enroute to Tungamah today via Benalla and while we did not intend to spend too much time loitering in Benalla, we decided to grab a cache here anyway so we picked this one as it wasn't too far from our intended route. Easy find.

Fitzy_1965 and I travelled to St Arnaud with two geo-kids in tow.
Day 4 - Time to pack up and head home. Out of the caravan park by 10am and head out for a few last caches before leaving St Arnaud. Ended up taking it slow and got home just before midnight!
All caches found quickly and easily unless otherwise stated.

Day 4 - After breakfast and packing up our campsite we hit the trail for a few more caches around St. Arnaud before starting the long trip home. Next one on the list on the trip home. Quick find at GZ. Log was signed, cache replaced and it was off to the next one.

While heading towards home after the St Arnauds Mega event, we stopped here to pick up a cache to represent Benalla as we were on our way through. It was a quick and easy find, the log soon had two more lots of initials on it. Then all was put back into place before we continued with the trip. Thanks go to jigg61 for this cache placement.
This was a randomly chosen cache as we travelled along. It was not too hard to find and the log was soon signed. Thanks to the CO for placing and maintaining this cache.
Day 2 of batching and so my aim today was to beat my previous record for a single day - which stood at 50 on a day around Beechworth and the Murmungee Basin in July 2018. Not a very big target (I am to get my first 100 day later this week) but hoped to get to 51 to make a nice round number (2300). So the plan was to load up the blue grader with CDs (not much sport on today) and head to a place I hadn't cached previously - Benalla. A good number of caches in close proximity and the opportunity to explore an area I hadn't visited before (other than a drive through on the freeway). Got away later than I wanted (though I needed the sleep) and finished in the dark (last was signed in the headlights) but in the end achieved my target (actually got 54) with a few DNFs (though only 1 logged) and some clever caches found and some nice places visited.
After two DNFs I was relieved to have a quick find here. As I pulled up I was greeted by a large friendly dog with the comment of "she won't hurt you mate". Luckily by the time I circlked GZ they were far enough away and the good-sized cache was found and the log signed. Was hoping for a TB in here given the size but nothing there today.

I was in Benalla with a friend so I decided to do a few caches on the way home. There was a muggle mowing the lawn in a tractor so stealth was needed. Signed log and took 2 TBs.

I found this cache, guarded by 8-legged creatures and I’m an arachnophobe, so there’s no way I’m putting my hand in there to get it out.
I sent the owner a message with a picture in hope they’d allow me to say I still found it.
Happy caching guys!
